Don’t try the (paneng) peanut coconut bowl. It’s not what you think it’s supposed to be. It’s not a curry and doesn’t taste like coconut either. It’s just stir fried soy sauce with tiny bits of peanut. Pretty disappointed.: (
Thai Express in this food court at $14.08 for a bowl of Tom Yum noodles soup with vegetables is higher price than other places with meat. The Tom Yum flavour is too watered down and lack spiciness. Not my place for a good meal.
The food was okay. The food portion was good but there was beef was too big and not enough. There was more noodles than than the protein. This cost me $15. Don’t recommend going here. The spice level wasn’t the greatest either.
I ordered stir fried rice with shrimp and basil. I paid $15 for small amount of basil and shrimps (small sizes). Pop cola bottle for $2.99! You can buy 6 bottles for this price.
They charge $17 for rice, chicken, and veggies. 70% of it was white rice and wasn’t even mixed in properly with veggies/sauce. Very little veggies and chicken also for the price! Chicken cut was huge and hard to chew!
You can lose your English language skills at this joint. Use at your own risk ‘Spice’ here only means ‘red chilli sauce’. If you order ‘no spice’ then your food will taste bland devoid of any flavour.
I ordered chicken pad thai and got a container of nothing but 99% of plain noodles. My friend actually thought I must not have ordered chicken! I thought there was a mistake.but then we saw AT MOST 5 of the thinnest pieces of chicken, the deli would be jealous of how thin their pieces were! I was shocked. Imagine paying $16 for just noodles! No egg and 2 measly pieces of tofu, why are you charging hefty prices for protein but don't put it in? They don't even give you peanuts as a topping anymore, really robbing people of every source of protein. I feel like I was robbed. How do you even feel good serving this to your customers? This is not a issue at the other locations, they give plenty of chicken and their pad thai actually have egg too AND bigger portions. Franchises should be standardized, this location gives Thai Express a bad rep. Considering there are so many choices in the STC food court, I would never go back to this location.
If l could give this place a zero l would. This is the second time l have ordered there and found hair in my food. Had to throw the whole thing away. The food level has gone down over the years at first taste it was already gross chicken was dry n stale and flavour was off. I tried to push through when l found the hair wrapped up nestled in a piece of chicken l was done. Never going back waste of my $15.00.
Not wheelchair friendly unfortunately can't reach majority of the space thus they either hand to lean way over to give you your order or you have to wait at the order section for them to pass it through to you, which though not a big issue when there are multiple customers in line they don't seem to care n will call your order out n regardless of you saying here n raising your hand they will ignore you until someone (another customer is kind enough to point down at you to them = service fail on way to many levels).
When me and my friend ordered food, we saw two cockroaches on the table. I don’t know if this is prevalent in other fast food places but this is so disgusting. Avoid
