Thai Plate Restaurant

The service was excellent and fast. The servers were kind and friendly. My son got a beef dish and he said it was good. My soup was way too tangy, and I could not eat it. My husband got a tofu dish and said it was not good. The restaurant floor was dirty. My chair had debris on it when I went to sit down. I would not eat here again.

Worst experience at a Kelseys. Food was disappointing for the cost. Service was also disappointing. Won't go back there again. In fact, will avoid this place. We left after the appetizers. We ended up eating dinner at Thai Plate just up the road which offered great food and service. Spend your money where it is appreciated and valued.

Our table had the chicken tom yum soup, regular pad thai, pineapple fried rice, cassava cake, and coconut sticky rice with mango. We came with a large group and the staff were very accommodating and attentive. The space was quiet and relaxed, great for chatting. Great food and even better service, would come again.

Food was amazing. Best Chicken Fried Rice I think ive ever had. 10/10 would recommend. Our server was amazing.

The service was fast and friendly. The server recommended the cashew veg and tofu which was delightful, as was the pad Thai. The menu was clear, concise and organized. There are a good amount of vegetarian and gluten-free options, which are clearly marked on the menu, as well as whether or not the dishes contain nuts and how spicy they are.

We came to Orillia in the hunt of a nice beach, and to Thai Plate for some quick yet appetizing meal. Although our dog wasn’t allowed (in the restaurant OR on the patio - service dogs are definitely permitted!) and we ended up getting the food takeout instead, the staff was super nice. He searched alternative dog-friendly restaurants at first, and also very thoughtfully prepared more than enough utensils for us all.

The food was also quite good. Portion sizes all very generous, we ordered pineapple rice, chicken pad thai, peanut beef curry, and mango salad. They were all quite delicious and flavours were as expected, very comforting.

The food is so good, flavorful and decently priced. We are so glad we made the detour on our South-bound, Barrie trip. Recommended!

One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to!

Went on a busy Sunday lunch hour, the service was extremely quick, the food was absolutely amazing, and all the staff were extremely kind and friendly.

10/10 would recommend!

Definitely recommend reserving a table ahead of time. We went for dinner on a Saturday. They had a full house but they made adjustments to seat our group of five within 15 minutes—was really grateful for their welcoming customer service!

Always delicious, authentic flavours, and lovely staff. Discovered this place years ago and I have never been disappointed. We had the mango salad, shrimp spring rolls, mussaman curry, and the chicken pad thai, all were excellent. We don't live in Orillia, so whenever we find ourselves in town we go to Thai Plate, it is a treat.

I keep returning to the Thai Plate. Why? Consistently great food! The flavours, textures, quantity etc. Not to mention value too. It's a great meal for a reasonable price and such great staff too! All in all, a wonderful place.

SO GOOD! The food is so fresh and tasty. You have to have the Mango Salad. I love this place, it's clean, friendly, and the perfect place to have a conversation with the person you're dining with.
Most places nowadays are so noisy and hectic, this is such a treat. We'll definitely return next time we're in Orillia.

We were excited to try but were disappointed. Cashew Beef sauce was amazing, but the beef was dry. The Thai Plate Appetizers Platter was good. The Pad Thai was not good, it had a metallic taste, and hardly any sauce. Thai sweet and sour sauce had no taste. Disappointing especially considering how much we spent.

I tried Thai Plate for the first time last week and was very impressed. I was so impressed I decided to try more. I was even happier this time.

Food was fresh, flavourful, and delicious. All special instructions were easy to add and were followed. Delivery was made easy and was even given a call by the driver before he delivered it to confirm the drop off. (As there is no live delivery update.)

Finally, portions were a good size especially for the price of the dishes. Deffinately my new go-to for take out in Orillia.

***The sticky rice with Taro is incredible as well if you're curios about desert options!
