We had a wonderful experience living here the last 4 years. They have, hands down, the BEST property management I have ever experienced. The building was always very well taken care of. Everything was regularly cleaned, mopped, and vacuumed and maintenence request were always delt with very timely. I never experienced any funy smells but ocassionally you could see the air being filtered out with even the slightest issue (which I couldn't even notice). You could send in a request, and Bern, the maintenance director, would be at your door within minutes sometimes (and I mean minutes) ready to fix your problem. All emails and communications were dealt with right away and were very well taken care of. Our Residential Property Manager, Joshua, is easy to get along with and the mastermind behind keeping things on tab. My wife and I were very sad to be moving because we definitely got spoiled here.

Very well maintained and managed. Service requests were always addressed very quickly and it is obvious that the landlord takes pride in their ownership of this building. Would not hesitate to recommend living here

Management neglected to tell us about construction to the parking garage upon moving. The construction was directly below our unit shaking the walls and making it very difficult to be home during the day time, let alone work from home. Moved in Oct 2021 and construction has not stopped, and is ramping up for the remainder of the year.

Multiple service requests go unfixed, including air conditioning, toilet, and washer and dryer. Also needed to put in 20+ service requests as multiple things were broken upon moving in.

Honestly just save yourself some stress and avoid this place. Construction isn't going to stop anytime soon as management is building a new tower.

I've rented several units at the Adelaide over the past 5 years. It's a really nice location, beautifully maintained building and really filled a niche between lower quality rental and luxury rental units in Ottawa. In-unit laundry, underground parking, a large common room and an extremely tiny gym are the facilities here.
However, Sakto Corporation seems to have changed course over the past year and is now largely focused on making money, likely to cover the cost of building their new tower.
The once-excellent building management has been replaced with an unapproachable and inconsistent manager who is mostly off-site. As the rental rates go up, it has become clear that filling emptying units are more important than retaining current tenants.
