The Alley

The drinks are really good but if you have any allergies/sensitivities this store will not modify their drinks. For example, I tried to order the crunchy tiramisu without tapioca as i cannot digest tapioca they said they HAVE to add it to their drink. I didn't see it as a big removal, but other bubble tea stores have no problem respecting allergies.

Loved the ambiance also i have a thing for stags and its my fav animal. The Alley has such variety of several kinds of beverages hot and cold both. I have tried the tiramisu crunchy milk tea and it was irresistibly hard to put down. Can't wait to try more drinks from here.

I visited last week. The Deerioca Fever was top on the list of most popular items. But I was so incredibly disappointed by the lack of flavour. It tasted like plain milk. Like when you eat cereal and the leftover milk has a sweet taste. The boba was incredibly tough to chew. I actually asked the staff to remake it and they kindly did it. But I don't think it's the staff, it was something to do with the ingredients. The tapioca also dried out quickly and was very hard.

I've been to tons of boba places across the GTA and this was sadly my worst experience.

This location has one of the best setup I have ever seen in any bubble tea locations. The setup just ticks all the boxes for me for a good night to come and have a drink and spend the evening. There is a wide variety of drinks to try. I had the strawberry shortcake and chainsaw man red grape drink as they seemed to be on limited time promotion. I usually prefer sweet but the shortcake seemed off balance for me (came out too strong) (next time I would try asking for less sweet on this one) but the grape flavoured drink was just right. There are a load of other varieties to try. Overall: Very Good

I got to check out The Alley for the first time after hearing rave reviews from my students. I visited with my daughter and they had a lot of fancy options to consider. We had some difficulties choosing because I was also looking for a caffeine-free option for my daughter, who started to get restless.

The flavors were really good but I think I'll have to come back again for a better experience like my students had raved about.

This was my first time at the alley and had many questions about the menu. The waitress answered my questions in a short and simple yet friendly manner even though it was busy which I appreciated. The service was fast, I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes when I expected the queue to be at least 20 minutes.

Ordered the royal number 9 with normal sugar and less ice. Not sure why this is the second most popular drink when it tasted very forgettable. Tapioca barely had any flavour to it.

My first time trying the crunchy milk tea series, and I got the cocoa milk tea. It was surprisingly good, tasting just like cocoa (but cold. So like chocolate milk I guess?) but of course the crispy bits on top got soggy after a while and it was kinda gross. This is my go-to alley location but a few days ago they had a mishap with their register and ended up double-charging my friend, and they said the same thing happened earlier that day to someone else too. We had to return to the alley to get a refund/ended up just getting another drink. It was a bit annoying so I think they should figure out whatever's going on with that

Great place! Only thing is that I asked for no ice but was told that the amount of ice was fixed so they can't change it. Not sure if that is an actual rule but almost felt like I was being denied without a valid reason.

Very bad customer service. I just asked for brown sugar fresh milk without ice. I said I can drink like that and I always order in other stores without any problem. The employees said they cannot do that. It have to be warm or ice. Why I have to drink warm? I need normal temperature as I drink it.
I rarely give 2 stars for any store before but this place.

I usually buy my drink here. This is my favourite place to go for bubble tea. But today, sunday 5: 20pm, I was not happy about the cashier who take my order. She seems to not happy and friendly at all. Her attitude was NOT NICE. When I pay, then I get my drinks, I said thank you to her, she didn’t even give me a word. I think she got upset with me for no reason. This is just a friendly reminder ab customers service, their drink still good.

I was really hoping I would be able to give full stars but I can’t. I came here for the first time, but am an avid milk tea lover, however I don’t like tapioca. Every place I go has never had an issue leaving it out. But this place refused stating that they can’t make the drink without and he clarified that is still the case if someone had allergies. I wasn’t asking for a million alterations to my drink, just asked for one thing to be left out. So I tried to order a drink that they claimed they could make without, so I order it and he then tells me it has been discontinued? I know it’s not a big loss to their overall business if I don’t go back, which I won’t, but I just think telling someone to go somewhere else after you ask for no tapioca is really poor business.

Great drinks for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is very modern and clean. This location decorated the store with halloween decorations which was vey cool. I hope they bring back coffee jelly, not sure why it was discontinued.

I like the Alley but this particular location is a scam. 2 out of the 3 times I've come here, they failed to add requested toppings to my drinks. Not only did I pay for these toppings but it was clearly labeled on the drinks - so it's clear that they were aware of the order. I did go back the first time to ask them to correct the order, but the second time it was just too much of a hassle. I advise you all to stay clear.yes the price of a topping isn't much, but its the principle. Never again.

The Alley definitely offers one of the best bubble tea around. This location is no different. Located in a very good plaza with many other great Asian stores/restaurants. Only here for pick up during COVID-19, but the store looked pretty big inside. Would be great to check this place out again once we can return to in-store seating!

Visited this evening! The two gentlemen working tonight were very polite and kind! Made yummy drinks, too! See you soon!

I bussed specifically to this location to get the dalgona bubble tea after trying it at the downtown location.too bad it was only a limited time offer.it would be awesome if they made it a permanent menu item.

Much better experience than The Alley at Yonge and Finch.

The two girls working were really helpful with explaining the different drinks they have.

The Crunchy Tiramisu Milk Tea I had is pretty good and was made right.

Visited Alley in January 2021. Oddly enough, this Alley seems to lack the most quality control as compared to other locations. I have visited this location multiple times in the past. Generally it is average to good with some misses. This time it was somewhat of a bigger miss. I had the hot Assam Black Tea latte with soy milk. The tea flavour is not as pronounced as I recall. For some odd reason, it actually tasted water down. Perhaps it was due to the overwhelming number of orders that was on the store or lack of quality control. Hopefully it will be back up to standards in the future.

Extremely upset to share that the bubble tea store that was once my favourite is highly unprofessional and will not own up to mistakes made that deceives customers.

They had sent me an email the night before my birthday (pictured below) inviting me to redeem my birthday drink on the day of, which hadn't been on my radar until that point.

I showed them the birthday email I received, but they wouldn't honour it and were dismissive, saying that policies had changed (which I cannot find on your website or in the app). There seemed to be no manager to speak to. I only saw the cashier appear to contact a superior through a phone/tablet. The staff there kept saying this policy and that policy to do with the points app changed to explain why I wasn't qualified but it seemed they weren't familiar with the changes and after 25 minutes of wasted time, directed me to email head office, which I did (more later).

Why was the email sent to me if I didn't qualify for a free birthday drink? I was LIED to. I read the email and followed it. I went out of my way to drive to the closest location near me. This cost me almost AN HOUR of my birthday dinner (25 minutes inside the store and 20 mins for travel), gas money, energy, and soured the mood for the rest of my evening when it should have been one of the few exciting days in the year while the pandemic continues on.

Head office showed no remorse for ruining my birthday and refused to honour the email they sent out. They said it was a "courtesy email" to all deer members, regardless of what our membership status was (apparently mine was inactive). If my membership was inactive, fine, just don't email me. And if there was some more info, maybe something connecting back to their policies, even just fine print saying "restrictions apply", then I would have accepted that. But as an established, beloved bubble tea chain, it was very unprofessional to freely email this and go back on your word. The professional thing to do would be to honour it.

We sent messages back and forth but The Alley refused to acknowledge they made any error and were never apologetic about ruining my birthday and wasting my time. I have lost all respect for them and will not be going back.

My favorite bubble tea in the GTA based on quality. Tapioca is made in-house. My go to’s are Deerioca Fever with soy and Royal Number 9 (hints of blueberry). Suggest getting the app to pre-order and earn points to get a free one after 10 purchases.

DEERIOCA! This is the best remastered classic bubble tea I have ever had. Even people who don’t like bubble tea love this.

The warm tapioca mixed with just the right brown sugar and milk! Be sure to give it a good shake/stir once you get it for even flavour. It looked a lot prettier before.

I know that any bubble tea fanatic may think it’s a little on the pricier side for the size but it is well worth it, and it’s REAL! No powdered chalkiness in sight.

Overhyped bbt spot, I’ve tried so many of their top 10 drinks and they all sucked. It’s not terrible terrible but I can’t think of a mainstream bbt place that the alley is better than.

Must try at least once. Been to this location several times, the service is always great and quick. Expect a lineup on evenings and weekends. Their signature brown sugar is very good, however a tad too sweet for me.

Drinks taste amazing and freshly made without the teas sitting for hours in the fridge. We are repeat customers and always enjoy our drinks and they are made on point everytime.

The inside of the store is really nice. Regular size cup is a good size and the designs are aesthetically pleasing. I ordered the milk tea trio and it tasted gross. I didn’t care for the types of jellies and the tea itself was not that great. But that’s personal preference and many people like their tea. Service was fast and friendly. I would go back and maybe try a different flavor.

Great place for quality bubble tea. Classic milk tea is to die for. Lots of choices for all kinds of tastes. Would suggest checking their menu online and know what you want to order when you arrive at the store. Safety measures in effect.

Been here twice this week. Drinks were made correctly as ordered. Pretty sure that the 1-star reviews are illegitimate/fake and may come from the other competitors in the same plaza.

Bad customer service. Went to try the products from this store for the first time and the cashier was unhelpful, and dismissive. I turned around and walked right out without buying anything.

Will skip this location in the future.

Horrible service. We were told to wait outside and they would call when the drinks were ready. Came inside to check 30mins later, the drinks looked like they were there for a while but no one called us. The lady at cashier really had an attitude

I like this location because it opens late but they really need to better organize the number of customers coming in. The way the cash is setup up doesn't allow for proper physical distancing.

Last time I came here is in May, none of the staff wore masks. I was really worried. This time is in June, everyone in Canada realizes they show wear masks, and only one staff is wearing. The other two staff making our drinks wear nothing, no glove, no masks. I can’t believe they can be this unprofessional and don’t seem to care customers’ health.

This is my new favorite bubble tea shop, and mind you, I am not a big bubble tea drinker. I love their slogan: it's time for tea. Which might more more catchy if it was. "It's time for bubble tea". Although I have never had any of their tea, only their bubble tea. Maybe I'll check out their other tea selections next time I am at The Alley.

Pretty cool and unique BBT spot. A change up to all the different ones in this plaza. Staff engaged with the customers, excellent customer service. Would reccomend this place to family and friends.

The white peach oolong tea is so bad. It’s so bitter and I can’t even drink it. I had only one sip and throw it away. Their workplace is kinda dirty. I have to say they don’t meet the standards of a bubble tea place.

The service here is exceptionally bad. I ordered a trio milk tea and ask for a medium size. The girl there just refuse to take my order and keep saying we only have REGULAR and Large. What is the difference? Do you have to be so rude? I'll never ever coming back to this location.

They are always out of there brown sugar tapioca. I also find it frustrating that you can’t change the level of ice or sweetness. You can’t even pay for extra tapioca if you want more. That being said, their drinks are pretty good. Keep in mind, this place is usually packed during the evening.
If you see yourself coming to The Alley, get their app and pay through that because there is a point system.

Very tasty bubble tea but, the best part of bbt is getting a seat and enjoying it with company and conversation. This shop is pretty small with only 3 tables, comfortably seating 2 at each. Service was per usually, friendly and timely. I got the Derioca signature drink and it was excellent. Tapioca was chewy and consistent throughout. No uncooked centers and not overcooked mush. I'd give it 5 stars were it not for the lack of seating. But, great place if you want to take it home to enjoy.

Cute and busy bubble tea place:) We came in and saw the sign that their specialty deerioca batch was just made, so we ordered one of those, and also ordered white peach oolong with added tapioca topping. The person who took our order took time to help us make a choice. They forgot to add tapioca to my drink, but fixed it quickly after I had brought it back. I should mention though that the oolong was very strong, so though was had “regular sugar” still tasted a bit bitter, which I personally liked. The deerioca match was a very sweet drink, as duly explained by the staff. I am posting a receipt for an idea about their prices.

I've had some pretty good milk teas from here before (from people who have ordered for me and surprised me with it). I decided to walk in myself and give it a try. Ordered a Royal No. 9 (I believe it's called) with pudding for a topping. The tea itself was okay. Nothing notable about it. I'm a little bitter because they forgot to add my topping and I didn't find out until I drove away. My husband also ordered the white peach oolong tea, which was extremely strong and not really enjoyable to drink. The aesthetic of the place is nice, so points for that. Perhaps the staff that day just weren't on their A-game.

Really good products I had a passion fruit green tea with pineapple jelly. My wife had the milk black tea with bobba and my friend had the "apple of my eye" apple slush. All these drinks were great, it's clean, plenty of parking and friendly doy staff.
