The Arepa Republic

A small spot for arepas and other South American food. Firstly, the servers were extremely friendly and explained to me very clearly the items that I would enjoy since I have dietary restrictions. So kudos the servers.

However the Rumbera arepa I had did not meet my expectations. I was told it was pulled pork but I did not find it to be pulled pork as you can see in the image. The cheese that was added was still cold and felt like it was store bought. It would have been better if they grilled the arepa for some time so that the cheese would melt. I am glad the server packed some chilli oil because that did help with the flavour.

Finally, the arepa you see in the image attached was >$18 (after tax) which I think is a bit overpriced.

Fantastic staff and service but the food and pricing should be looked at in a little more detail.

Initially it seemed a bit pricey but the Arepas are stuffed and ends up being pretty filling. I wasn't a fan of the sweet dough used for the empanadas but overall the Arepas were decent.

I needed to come over here to give my review to this magnifique restaurant. I ordered from Arepa Republic to have delivered to my workplace a relatively high volume of Tostones (32). They did it with an impeccable punctuality, once I saw the product I could observe the high quality in which they finish it, from packaging to the presentation of the meal was remarkably good. The taste was outstanding. Can't wait to visit and try out their other items on the menu!

Definitely the arepas are good and tasty but is overpriced. Only one arepa plus tax is like 19 dollars.

Great taste! We always order one beef patacón and an arepa llanera and it so delicious:) try to go on sunny days to enjoy your order in the picnic benches outside (but watch out with the geese)

The Arepas and Tequeños tasted good. The only gripe I have is the value vs size does not reflect well. I think the Arepas and Tequeños should be able to be put into a combo. The two together alone is over $30 which is too much for what it is in a industrial area.

1) I placed my order at 12: 47 PM over the phone, I was told it would be 20 minutes, my order was given to me at 1: 47 PM. Long Wait Time!
2) Requested fried plantains in my arepas, I was disappointed to arrive home and notice they didn't have any. Missing Ingredients
3) Arepas are too small for their price. Overpriced

I absolutely love their arepas! Their Pabellón (or their veggie version) is delicious, and their Passion fruit or Guava mousse are incredible. As a Colombian with a love for Venezuelan cuisine, I highly recommend this place. It is like being back in South America, super friendly staff, always happy to help.
I should ad, that I drive all the way from downtown to eat there. Yes, it is a bit North from me, but it is worth the trip!

Food is tasty, but in my opinion portions are small for the price, employees sometimes are rude, you have to order ahead and go only when you have your order placed, if you arrive without having ordered they won't take your order and ask you to order on a site that does not work, so you lose your time.

It's really easy to place pickup orders on their website. I received notifications of when my order was going to be ready. Very efficient service, easy check out, super friendly staff and the food was absolutely delicious. Finding this place was like finding a hidden gem.

It was my first time trying this place and I'm very disappointed because the price was too high for what we got. The arepas are really small for what you pay, and they were not very tasty. I ordered from Uber eats, and the pictures posted there make people feel that the product size is bigger than it actually is. I don't recommend this place at all and feel scammed with the price I paid.

Always consistently excellent food and service. Do not skip the tequeños! Haven't had a an arepa or plate here that was anything less than tasty!

Amazing arepas, amazing service. The person at the front was amazing and patient. Before I went inside I was waiting on my friend outside and she engaged in conversation with me even teaching me how to pronounce the menu item properly! From that moment I said YES! This is about to be a 5 star experience, the food did not disappoint! I will be back for sure. I got the Pabellon Veggie Arepa, Tostones, chicken and beef empanadas:)
