The Ballroom Bowl

Came here with a few friends to grab a bite to eat. We didn’t reserve a lane in time, so we couldn’t bowl. Instead, we went up stairs after dinner to play some ping pong. Overall, we had a really fun time. Service was attentive and friendly.the food wasn’t the greatest. The calamari arrived at our table cold and the bruschetta was on this flatbread that wasn’t that tasty. The tacos I got were ok, but I probably wouldn’t get them again. My friends daughter got the steak and it actually looked pretty good.she really enjoyed it. I definitely return to go bowling.

It was my first time here with friends, and Nikki was such a great hostess! She answered all of our questions and was so welcoming:) the vibes were amazing, plus the food and drinks? Couldn’t ask for a better night, will definitely be coming back!

I have gone there twice and this security guard always tells me there's a private event and that we can't come in to bowl. One was a Thursday and one was a Friday. If one can't reserve on weekends and you don't answer the phone, how can one figure out when to come in?

I really enjoyed it! It was a very mature crowd & when I lost my bracelet they helped me find it in no time. Staff were overall really kind & helpful

Samira, Isabella, Jillian, Faith, Julio! They are amazing! I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We did wait over an hour but the team was on it! Our bartender Julio personally checked on our wait times and made us the best margaritas! Ask for anyone from this team and you’ll be treated well! I went in for an event. Food and drinks were good however bowling floors and bowling balls weren’t in a good condition. They were wobbly.

No AC on. So much humid. Not great lighting (atmosphere). Too much costly juice. I bought Pineapple juice and had 80% ice it. Had veggie spring roll and it was too much oily and overcooked.

We had a great time! There are 10-pin bowling lanes on the main floor with comfy leather sofas. A great menu and bar. They also have other games in this multi level establishment.

Perfect place to have fun with your friends or family, it hosts several activities so if you don't feel like doing on you can always hop onto another one. It serves delicious and fresh food along with beverages. It is the best place to spend an evening to chill.

Food and drinks upstairs are good for pub food. The only con is that the portion size is a bit small for pub food. Bowling downstairs is fun, service at your lane is very good. Good atmosphere for coworkers.

This is my go-to place for a girls' weekend in the downtown area. This place is easy to get to via TTC/Uber and never has a cover. Their music on Saturdays is always on point. The place is usually quite bustling on a weekend, but it never feels crowded. As a female, I feel safe and comfortable coming here and will continue to return. Their bartenders are super nice and helpful and make you feel welcome. Their wait staff is efficient and polite. Also - the washrooms are HUGE and there's barely ever a wait which is a huge plus. Come here and you won't be disappointed! Keep up the great work!

Came here during the lunch hour to bowl and eat, surprisingly it wasn't packed and I was impressed with the food. The lunch menu has great portion size and it's reasonable priced!

Never in my life have I've been treated so poorly by a bouncer, Guy didn't say a word and started putting his hands in my pockets searching them. Had to ask three times to get service and we were brushed off repeatedly. Atmosphere is cool but staff was awful, never again will I visit this place.

Worst experience ever! Service is bad, food is edible at best and manager is very unfriendly and lying in your face! We went for the free bowling on Sunday at 5pm and when we called in the afternoon to confirm the reservation they told us that lane booking would open at 4: 50. We arrived at 4: 45pm and there were already 10 people ahead of us on the waiting list. When we inquired about it with management they insisted on the timeline and blamed us for arriving late. Later waiting times got longer and longer as lanes kept misteriously breaking down and when it was finally our turn they suddenly told us that we could book only one lane instead of the two promised at the beginning! Absolute nightmare! Don't go there!

The actual worst service I have ever received.one waitress came to take our order before bringing us a drink menu, after she brought it we didn’t see her again all night. Another server came over, introduced herself, took our order, brought the drinks and didn’t check back in for the rest of the night. We had to track her down to even ask for the bill (after 2 hours)

Had a party of 14 at the Ballroom on Nov 3 and it was an absolute disappointment. Bowling staff were unprofessional and rude. I was told I would already be on the bowling waitlist upon confirmation of my party reservation. We got there and was denied it. Staff at the bowling counter denied being associated with the Ballroom Dining Section. Dining reservation took close to an hour and a half to get all the drinks order out to the table for 14. Food took almost 2 hours before it came out. When multiple staffs could not justify why it took so long for my party to be served it was extremely frustrating. At one point I had to even get my own plates and utensil for the the table. For a party that paid over $700. Was not worth visiting this establishment at all.

Bouncers and Security Staff are unprofessional, and DANGEROUS.

Was out with my girlfriend and friends last night at this place. Everything was going well until my girlfriend approaches the Dj booth to request a song. At this point, a female bouncer comes up to her and physically pushes her downstairs without warning. I was luckily at the bottom of the few steps where she was standing so I caught her on the way down (she was wearing heels). At this point, my gut told me it was time to go home. I immediately walked towards the exit door with my girlfriend in my arms. As I was about to leave for my OWN SAFETY, 4-5 bouncers assaulted me from behind by choking me and putting digital pressure into my trachea and carotid artery which led me to gag and gasp for air in consequence for a whole 40 seconds. I was smart enough to stay calm and let the bouncers choke me for a good minute at which time the head of security came upstairs and asked them to stop choking me. My girlfriend was also reprehended by the staff to a lesser degree. Friends watched powerlessly as the security staff reprehended us RIGHT by the Exit as we willingly attempted to flee from the establishment.

Is it really necessary to forcefully reprehend people who are WILLINGLY a meter away from the EXIT WITHOUT VERBAL WARNING OR opportunity to cooperate with demands? Do you really need to use FORCE on everyone without giving them an opportunity to flee peacefully?

Is it really necessary to CHOKE someone from behind WHO IS HOLDING HIS GIRLFRIEND IN HIS ARMS in terror for her safety!?
I don't think so. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

Skip this place. No one in my friends, family list is going to this place ever again.

Casual bar with plenty of indoor bar-like activities including pool, bowling, and other table games. It's a 2 story bar with a patio. Great for a younger crowd looking for some music, drinks, and bar games.

Great fun, 10 pin bowling. When it works and you can bowl. It's a busy place so make sure you book, although they won't take bookings to bowl within 24hrs. The lanes are great, the staff want to help and be friendly but tend to be very busy; when they do serve you they're great!

PRO-TIP: Free bowling on Sundays! Just pay for the shoes.

REVIEW: It's the only bowling alley downtown, so expect to pay a premium for real estate. However, it's well maintained, with great service, plenty of comfy couches and large projectors with live cable on it. Patio rooftop bar and lawn games out front complete the package to a solid evening with friends!

Cool place to check out if you're looking to bowl / grab a few drinks. The music is good as well and they play sports so if a game is on you can catch a game. Great location as well right in the heart of the city.

Went on a Sunday afternoon when it is free and I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere. The music really fits the place and the service was really efficient. The food was really good, especially the sweet potato fries. It's really nice casual hangout spot for friends.

Kind of good, kind of not good. A good place for drinks and dancing, not the most economical places to go bowling. $80 for an hour in a lane plus $5 per person that's playing. As nice as the place is it is pretty expensive. Plus they used to have more ping pong tables in the upstairs, now it's only one.

Went there after work with colleagues. We booked lanes and food service in advance. Staff was friendly and food ok.
Bowling shoes were in great condition. Digital screens were modern with fun graphics.
Only complaint was regarding the washrooms. There was a private party upstairs and another on the other side of the restaurant. They denied entry for me to use the washroom (I should have lied). There was a line for the washroom closest to the bar and there were only 2 toilets. Anyhow it was a fun bowling night and maybe 15 min walk to Union station afterwards.

Long wait time for a lane on a Tuesday night. Would have been shorter but the hostess accidentally crossed my name off waiting list. Luckily it was one of the last nice evenings outside so my party and I were happy to have drinks on patio while waiting. Orginally, we planned to order dinner downstairs but after waiting longer than expected, my party (of 7) became really hungry. As a result, our food ordering got a bit confusing. Our patio sever was efficient and really nice but as our food was being made, our bowling lane became available. Long story short, as soon as we started to bowl the food arrived which was a bit overwhelming. The food was not great and overpriced for what it was which was disappointing but overall it was still a fun night out. Would never pay the weekend lane fee though.

Terrible service. Staff totally unhelpful, refused to even tell us how long to wait. Extremely rude host with an attitude for no reason. Won’t even accept reservation even though we called in the morning for the night

Great Bowling Ambience, Great for groups of Friends. Visited this place on a Tuesday - $4 Taquila and $5 Beers. Must try is the Chefs Burger with hot sauce!

Music pierced my ear drums and made me deaf. But at least it was a lot of old school hip hop and pop. It's quite a young crowd. It was pretty good. Alcohol selection is decent. I always appreciate a good selection of craft beers. I'd go here with friends that could be fun. I went here with several people I didn't know as part of a wedding party hang out. That wasn't too fun. For me one game of bowling is usually enough. I also think more of a dance floor would be appropiate. Is there an upstairs? I don't know. Some people just were dancing or grooving in a small aisle area by the bar. I did like the private stalls for the washroom. But they probably need more. So if you're young and want to have some fun this place could be good.

Perfect place for drinks and game of bowling. Check price as it varies by days/hours for lane rental and is free on Sunday after 5 PM. 5$ per person per hour for the shoe rental. They have a lounge up stairs if you want to enjoy game with an audience and vibe.
