The Barber's Chair

I have been here few times with different barbers. I would say the quality is a little above than regular cut. They charge hidden fees which are not listed on the pricing and they don’t warn you before that. I used to pay regular $29 + tax for my regular cut and receptionist came up with 35+tax saying this is special style for the first time in 2 years.

Homa saved my hair. I got a haircut from a friend which I totally didn't like. Went to the mall and got another haircut. Mona fixed it. Will return for sure.

I have been to this location many times. I am generally satisfied with the service but Alva is extremely unprofessional and rude. I don’t like her customer service at all and wonder how the owner can afford to keep her there when they have lost countless clients because of her. If I could give a 0 out of 5, I would. Avoid at all costs

Used to like coming here, my go-to barber was TC. He moved locations some time ago. I called a few times over the course of 3 months before learning of this, to try and book an appointment. They told me he was on holiday every time I called. They never told me he moved. I decided to get a haircut there anyway, this time with a different barber, and he butchered my hair. I have now found out where TC is and I will be going there from now on, even though it's 30 minutes away from where I live.

Never go to this place to get a hair cut. They only hire students who don’t know anything about cutting hair. A mechanic could have done better with cutting my hair than coming here. Gave that guy 2 dollars for tip.

Yo, if you're in need of a fresh cut, go see Carlos at The Barber's Chair ASAP! This dude is a wizard with clippers and knows exactly how to make you look and feel like a million bucks. I'm not the easiest person to please when it comes to my hair, but Carlos was patient and really took the time to understand what I wanted. Plus, he's just a cool dude to hang out with while you're in the chair. We talked about everything from sports to music to life in general. I felt like I was chilling with a friend, not just getting a haircut. I can't recommend Carlos and The Barber's Chair enough - do yourself a favor and book an appointment today!

The rudest customer experience, they dont know how to fade and if you point the mistake then they are at their rudest behaviour.
I told him to do a proper fade with a shape, also shown him a photo. The guy was convinced that he is a genius hairdresser. Please guys I'm not here to pay free money for worst haircut.

Good spot for a haircut, but take an appointment first or call before going as their schedule fills up fast. It costs a bit more than my usual place but they include a shampoo which is quite nice and saves me time when I get home.

Learn to talk in English please or atleast please hear what the customer has to say about their haircut.they cut like we are some sheeps and they are just getting the wool out of us

I went here to trim my hair and bangs and just to re-shape my layers. I had Olga. She’s amazing! I’m definitely coming back and will definitely ask for Olga again for my next haircut!

I have come to this place a handful of times and each time a different Barber cuts my hair. Coming here is a gamble and depends on who cuts your hair. Today I got my haircut and my barber could hardly speak any English. I asked for a common and simple men's haircut. He didn't take much time with my hair. He also cut it unevenly. I will have to go back tomorrow to get this fixed.

Closed without notice because of a snowstorm. Last time I checked this is an indoor place and snow doesn’t affect the quality of haircuts.

I had an appointment with Carlos as he was recommended by one of my friends…and he did an amazing job of hair styling and shaving.definitely worth the money spent…Carlos is very friendly and understands your expectations…. I will definitely be coming back here

If you want to cut hair, be present. I explained in detail what I wanted. If this person was paying attention they would have done it correctly. But they are more worried about who's waiting for the next cut. BE PRESENT. I wasted my money because people can't pay attention. Not only did they not do what I asked, they didn't even finish my cut, yet I was "all done" because they have more people waiting literally beside the chair I was in. Ridiculous.

I recommend to avoid this place. If you make the mistake, at least take someone other than the owner - Domenic. He shaved more than half of the back hair, left some bumps and when I went back, he said he doesn't see anything wrong with it. In addition, I noticed quite a few red spots on my head, which can be caused by not disinfecting the equipment.

I will only take my boys here for their haircuts! These barbers know what they are doing and they are all great! Even the ladies here give great boys haircuts - we don’t have a favourite, we’re always last minute or in a rush so will take whoever is available and have never been disappointed!

Ok, first of all, i used to go on this place to cut my hair, and 6 months ago was the last time i was there, all their staff are changed, execpt one lady, who did my hair cut last time, she did a very bad haircut, but because she said im new here, i didn't say anything and i didn't complain or writing any review, but here is what happend today,
I called at 11: 50 AM today (May 29) to book a haircut appoinment they answered and it was a lady she said hold one a second, after 2 minutes waiting she hang up the phone i called but nobody answered this time, i thought they might be busy or something like that, i called again at 12: 30PM and i asked them for a appointment and she said the earliest time is 2PM, and also i mentioned i want a guy to cut my hair, she said yes I booked you with a guy you can come at 2PM, i went there at 2 sharp. The secretary took me to a barber chair and she said, wait for the barber, after 10 minutes, same lady who did my haircut 6 months ago cams and she was about to start and i told her i asked for the guy, secretary took me to a guy and she asked him please do his hair cut first, he accepted and he told me i have another customer but it's fine i'll do yours first. He started quickly and without any accuracy, my hair was so long because i didn't get haircut over 6 months, he finished my long hair cut in only 9 minutes!
Can you believe it? 9 min only!
He did a trouble job and tonight i lost my firend birthday party because of his job, i told him i want around my hair little bit shorter than top, i swear to god he didn't ask how short i want and he bald around my hair and super super short on the top, this was the worst haircut i ever got and the worst place to get the haircut on, and the funny part was when i was about to pay for that trouble job i saw the machine it's showing $38 which on their sign was showing $27 i said it's showing 27 why are you charging me 38 secretary said because you asked for the bald which is $5 extra, i said i didn't asked for that i nobody told me about it, she said sorry for the inconveinece next time tell them not bald, i said nexttt timeeeee? Realyyy Wait for me to come back in disgusting place again, that's froud i will never forget that,

Did not expect this type of service from supposedly a high end barber shop. As other comments have stated the receptionist at the front definitely needs better training or simply find another job she can enjoy working at her attitude seems as if she does not want to be there. Then comes the barber "Carlos" what a complete clown, the hair cut is $30 the guy is cutting it so fast and pulling my hair everywhere hurting like crazy and was over within 5-7 min. He was showing off cutting my hair blind folded saying how good he is, is this a circus? Then he gelled it up, when I got home and washed it, I realized what a horrible hair cut, avoid this barber many other better ones in the mall.

First, the receptionist needs training in customer service. She is not friendly and welcoming. Matt the barber started off well, by greeting us in a friendly manner. I explained my son's wishes for his haircut. The actually haircut was great. The issue is he scratched and cut up my son's neck. He said it was the machine". And I responded with you are in control of the machine! After standing my ground about how unacceptable and unhealthy this is, I was given a full refund!

Horrible customer service with hairstylist telling me less than 5 dollar tip is not acceptable and end of the day low quality haircut for outrageous price person couldn't do a proper fade if there life depended on it

Worst experience. I just had a haircut from this place.
I have a wedding to attend. After the haircut, my hair sucks. If you have any important events to attend, don’t go to such a place for haircut.
Now I am not feeling good about myself after the haircut.

Matt is the most wicked barber out there, this guy is too sick with it, always a great job. Very welcoming and professional environment also.

Asked for my long hair to get cleaned up, but keep it long. I left with short hair. I feel like they just give the same haircut to every guy that comes in. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, just not what I asked for. For this price I should be able to get what I want.

Came here for a beard trim. The barber was working on a dude before, finished his haircut and then sanitized the chairs, that’s it. He didn’t sanitize the clipping tools like the razors or the trimmers. Very unhygienic and I’m surprised how CF is allowing them to operate business without considering Covid-19 precautions. I felt very unsafe getting that trim since he didn’t sanitize them.

I hope they take sanitization of the desk where people keep their things, the coat stand, the chair in which customers sit and the tools that they use. If not, there’ll be a Covid-19 breakout in this place.

Farrah is the best hair-dresser that I've ever had, (and she's just a really great person). She's Toronto's best kept secret when it comes to having a fabulous hair cut.

Matt is the best barber in this shop. He was very professional and took his time cutting my hair and gave advice on what will look good. Finished with styling my hair. I would recommend everyone who wants a fresh cut to see Matt.

I went for a hair cut and highlights, Farrah has Done that for me, though she is a nice person she doesn’t do it well on my hairs. The hair cut was nice but the highlights, I couldn’t evn c a change on my hair. For resolving that I called the manager, she is so rude, 0% customer service she has shown. I do not recommend anyone to go there. The manager literally shouted on me on phone and said nothing she can do it, then y she needs to be in that position if she is helpless? I would again say dnt even think to go there guys. Cleanliness is 0%. If the owner read this message plz ask your staffs to be professional and Humble

I love my barber Matt! He is professional and friendly. Located in the mall its easy to access and lots of free parking.

Got a good haircut, which I really needed after months of lockdown. They were all in masks and had protective barriers up, it was a good experience since all staff and customers seemed to be following the rules. I was able to get in as a walk in, which is good since being back to work it's hard to get free time during the day for appointments.

The good thing - barber Matt is strongly recommended.
As for the whole place it is quite dirty as for such services and regarding to the price (around 28$). Also, not all barbers cut like a barbers, I've had awful experience with one women-barber here.

If you’re looking to pay over 30 bucks for a half-done haircut and mediocre service this is the place for you.

I've been there twice and both times I walked out unhappy. I explained, with pictures, what the style I'm looking for is, and I never get the fade I'm looking for. I'm sure it's because they don't care to actively listen and confirm what your needs are.

Going across the hall next time. Looks more professional and same price.

Sam gave a great skin fade and I was very happy with my haircut. He gave notice to every tiny detail and I was beyond happy

Took my one year old for a haircut and nearly walked away before he was done. Aside from getting the worse haircut done, the lady was very aggressive with him and was very rude talking to us in her language. We asked the front desk if they took kids and the answer should have been no, since the worker idea of entertaining is roughing up my kid.
Not recommend.

The front desk girl, the one from Colombia is really friendly with the customers, and always has the best attitude, also she concerns about the clients.

Front desk receptionist (black lady) is very rude and also she makes funny comments about customers hairstyle. She is very unprofessional, she still thinks she is in a third world country with her attitude.

Been here for 2 years and the females always cut my hair with the picture I provide them. But the men.oh God. I tried 4 of them and they ALL are too rough with the clippers.they are in a rush, dont care or get distracted. One of them starts cutting my beard when I said not to, and the others don't listen to what I want. I even show them a picture but the guy today gave me a mohawk.that's not what my picture showed.that was the last straw. I'm fed up with the male barbers here. Screw this place. Time to find a new salon.

A bit expensive but see Matt (Barber) he'll make it worth the money, hooks up a wicked fade everytime!
