The Brass Pub

Had an absolute time. A very young crowd staff is nice and accepting of my stupidity. Can't ask for anything more. Would suggest if looking for some fun.

Came here from work and they wouldn't let us bring our bags in. The drinks here are so watered down, I ordered literal juice and sprite and somehow they tasted like plain water. The sangria is green? And tasted like nothing. Even the music sucks.

I’ve had amazing experiences in the student bars, yet being about 10 years older then most the crowd at the local hub bars (ie: Grizz, stages, ale house.) Tonight was by far my worst experience! My friend group and I were celebrating a birthday for one of my peers (who is an adult diagnosed with high functioning autism.) Everything was going great until one of the bouncers named Noah asked my friend to leave as “he was slurring his words. ” I mentioned to Noah regarding my friends speech impediment makes slur as he has autism and Noah stated “ I do not care” I love to support local, but the bouncers that the hub group chooses either need to go back how it was around Covid times or they have to change to get with the times, as no one is scared by a couple students wearing tight “security t-shirts” and would rather deal with individuals who knows how to promote a business rather than deal with kids that power trip.:)

On multiple occasions have attempted to give the staff the benefit of the doubt when it is busy however on one occasion there was a snowstorm which my friends and I continued to decide to come out for a drink yet after sitting for a while decided on another shot at 11: 30pm and walked to the bar when was told it was too late and that last call was already done but as the only people sitting at a table while a mere 2 people were at the bar, we were never told last call had happened as we did not know last call had happened earlier than 2am when we assumed they were closing at normal time. If they had of told us they were closing early, we would have ordered our last call and been on our way. This was an unfortunate event but not our first bad experience at this pub.

Honestly it’s a nice bar but the staff and the service is god awful. Every time without a fail they either don’t bring my table our drinks or the food we ordered and then they claim “ I didn’t hear you say that” when she’ll literally read the order back to us. They charge us for stuff we didn’t get and there’s no arguing with them cause they’re all very rude, so it’s easier to just leave the place. Won’t be going back there.the servers need a serious attitude check and better listening skills.

The brass is actually the most racist place I have ever encountered in kingston. Maybe it was just the weekend of hoco but their whole staff should be fired

Had the most horrible experience! Staff was transphobic, argumentative, and aggressive. Never go here!

Typical bar food with lots of great specials. Prepare to be packed in with Queen's students basically every day of the school year, though.

Drinks are pretty standard price for the area. Table service is so-so, if you're there for drinks I'd recommend just going to the bar.

My daughter goes to queens and went with her friends for dinner and a drink. All her of friends got in with one piece of ID. They asked her for 2. If they had asked everyone, it would have been okay but in this case I do believe it was racially motivated. Do better.

I came with my friends for the first time at Brass pub, as we heard a lot about there ambiance and food. But unfortunately, we received burnt fries and the spinach artichoke dip was also burnt and the portion of dip was like only for 1-2 people out of 7. The drinks were good also the customer service. But so sorry we don’t deserve the burnt food. We left right away as they refused to refund or change the food as it was already made. Gabby thanks for trying but it was a disappointment sorry!

I can't believe how excellent the food is from here! We ordered from here last night via Skip and were quite pleased. The wings were delicious and very generous portions. The chicken quesadilla was amazing with so much bacon in it and everything came within a reasonable amount of time. 10/10 and will absolutely be ordering again!

Honestly you're not coming here for the food - good place to get beers and hang out. The doormen are on some next level power trip with the ID checks though:/

Customer service is zero, my friends coming in kingston from other city. I bring them at good location according to me, but the staff disappointed me with poor services and treated very bad. I also run a this kind of places but never see this kind of creepy services. I dnt know the name of server otherwise i definately mention their name. Plz maintain your standand thanks.

Overall great place to go. Mostly younger crowd with great atmosphere. Only downside to the whole night was waiting a hour and a half for some cheese bread Ended up getting it free but still sucked

Beer and Food. Live music was great when we could all still do that. Haven't had a bad time there I can remember so yeah. I'll see yall there!

It took 30 minutes to get a menu alone when inside and on the patio. Servers are very rude and slow

An interesting place. Sad I saw a couple of arcade games but no pool table. Food was delicious though and big portions.

The staff was friendly and helpful, daily specials often hit the mark. Broad hours, Wifi (that is admittedly difficult to get a connection with), clean facilities and great food. The chalk board outside is updated daily with the specials and there is always something.

Decent pub further up Princess. Nice meal and decent prices. Was rather quiet on a Saturday evening?

A great pub, especially for students! Live music was fantastic, and had the whole crowd going along with it.
The old fashioned popcorn machine offering free popcorn is an awesome feature and a popular go-to!
Food is typical pub fare, but is quite good and reasonably priced. Drinks are fairly priced, and they have a pretty good selection of beers on tap.
Service is usually good, can be slow occasionally, but mostly due to busyness.
Popular with students, and can get pretty busy on the weekends.

Loved the ambience. The service was nice and fast and it's a pretty hip place. I would say one of the best pub in Kingston.

Ate here 2 weeks ago as a group. The entire group was sick that night. The fact that had the flies been counted as patrons, would’ve put the place at max occupancy, should have been a tell tale sign of what was to come. Food and service was sub par, at best.

Awesome burgers and wings! I also like how all the windows are open in the summer. It's like a shaded patio.

Great bar in downtown Kingston. Alcohol is reasonably priced the servers are nice and they also had a orchestra singer in house. Good one for a little fun;)

Reasonable place to have a drink or watch the game. Seating can be a bit of a disaster given the layout and student scene but if you can get a table the drinks are well priced and the food is good.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back setting.

They did not poor the beer I ordered, but I liked it. Had I known what they poured me I would give it a 5 star

Such a good place if you're going for food + drinks. Fond memories from me and queens friends hanging out there shooting some pool. Much love for the Brass.

I ordered a delivery that was never delivered and when I called, they said they would send a replacement delivery that also didn’t come.

I went on a busy Saturday night during two Canadian NHL playoff hockey games. I ordered two beers and the wrap with a side of fries. It seemed expensive but let me tell you it was good. A lot of chicken wraps at other places tend to be soggy or dry, this one wasn't. The sound switched from tv to live entertainment and it got as usual too loud to hear anyone talk. Which is totally fine, the performer, a player was pretty good I tipped him $10. My waitress was very nice as well.

The only sour spot was a girl (not a staffer) came up to me after I paid my cheque and was about to leave. She asked me if I was having a good time and I said sure. She asked if I'm a big country guy, I said no it's not usually my style but the people and the vibe is pretty good. She commented on if I knew the guitarist, I said no but he's pretty good then asked me about my living situation I said it was my hometown, but I don't go out here too much. She asked me how old I was. I said 25. She said you're old! You're too old to be here. I found it funny both because being the youngest in a large family that's a first, and secondly I don't know beyond a few obvious places what the scene or Target demographic for each place is like. It's a bit odd to be randomly interrogated by a patron on your way out. But I guess I now know, if you're 25 or over, don't come to the brass.

The brass is the perfect place to go with friends if you’re looking for a fun but casual night out! My friend actually got lucky last night and shared a kiss

Nice quiet pub, not a huge selection of beer but fun atmosphere. Some of the servers lack experience and can get overwhelmed leading to choppy service. Better off just ordering right from the bar.

Poor beer selection, wait staff never spoke to myself or my friend during the entirety of our visit.

Beautiful young happy people, good beer, good live music (it was Saturday), free popcorn. Great night out!
