First time eating here last night for dinner and I was really disappointed. Hostess was quick to get a large group of us seated and service was good but the food and drinks were mediocre. Ordered the new bt mule, took server a long time to input it into her iPad, the drink I was served was so bizarre it tasted nothing like a Moscow mule, told the server it wasn’t what I was expecting and her reply was “that’s too bad”…. Ordered the angus burger, meat was dry, no sauce on the burger and the fries were burnt. Not going back again.
This place is amazing. The food is fantastic and the service is friendly. The antijitoes here are the best I've had and the lamb burger was so fresh and tasty, great selection of drinks. This is a must!
Great selection of quality craft beers combined with a diverse menu of delectable eats, all served with a smile! Need I say more? Oh, and the new digs are stylin too! Try it out, you won't be disappointed!
Absolutely phenomenal food and service! Not to mention how beautiful the inside is, it gives a great ambience and very welcoming vibe. I had ordered the steak frites which was unbelievably delicious, my 2 other friends also were inlove with their meals. Rachel our server was very kind, had a great attitude, was quick and patient with us when I forgot to order or appetizer before our meal haha I will definitely be returning to this place every time I'm in kanata for now on! 100000/10
August 5,2022. This evening. Was served by Alex L, GREAT waitstaff. Great engagement, timing, body language and knowledge. Very impressed. Well done Alex! The Brew Table was Busy folks, we were sitting outside and it was fabulous. Brew Table manager, turn the volume down on the outside speakers, really, stop it, stop it. Given the volume of the traffic outside, your music volume is totally inappropriate. Alex had impeccable timing given his other tables, the food arrived in suitable timing. Had the Power Bowel with Chicken, excellent. Husband had the Spinach salad with salmon, also excellent. Considering the volume of business, a great experience. Highly recommend the Brew Table.
Awesome place, food and folks. Till they moved down the road on Moodie. Now you are lucky to get a drink in 20 minutes after arriving and get your food within an hour. Was our favourite place to go, but now we avoid it, just not a good experience anymore. So sad, used to be top notch, now it sucks. Food is still good but bring a burger from somewhere else to tie you over till you get served.
Very disappointing.
Follow up. Seems to be an issue in the evening. We did a day visit (mid afternoon) and everything was on point. Growing pains in the new location perhaps.
Great food. Amazing service. Reasonably price. They added uncomfortable chairs on the patio. It is unfortunate we cannot enjoy the patio anymore.we will have to find a new one or bring cushions.
Very slow service, we order a burger and poutine.waited almost a hour and half and no pontine. Waited so long that we didn’t say anything cause we just wanted to eat.the price was very high for the value of what we were served
Noisy place great selection of beer. Pub type menu, with apparent vegan offerings. Pub food declared good, vegan options not good. Fries are cooked in lard. Impossible burger was that, devoid of flavour, served slightly warm, dry. Impossible to eat. (Good name). Like your beer and don't care that much about the food or ability to have a conversation? This is your place. Great staff, but won't return.
Have loved this place for the last 2 years. But recently service has declined. From not having menu items on repeated occasions to being understaffed. Was seated today and waited 25 minutes and nobody came to take a drink order or even tell us they're behind.
We went to the brew table as a group of two. We had the antijitos which were delicious and came out quickly. The rest of our food took over 45 minutes to get to us. We ordered the brew burger and the vegan burger. The vegan burger was slightly burnt but tasted good overall. The brew burger was fine but strange and tasted sweet. I think the restaurant was understaffed as the waitress was nice but rarely checked on us and we waited over 10 minutes for her to ask us after our dishes were taken away if we wanted dessert or the check. 3/5 not bad.
One of our favourite restaurants in the west end. Service is always consistent and excellent. Food is delicious, drinks are very good and prices are lower than most restaurants when compared to restaurants in the same category.
New building but same excellent service. Tasty food with beautiful presentation. I’d you’re lucky enough to have Troy serve you, you’re night is complete.
Recently visited the establishment, they did not appear to follow covid standards in regards to capacity. Every table appeared taken. We inquired and we’re informed that by the number of people allowed in, they were compiling by Ontario standards. However, tables were very close, and groups of people were seated side by side, There was also no sanitizer at the entry. However they did scan vaccine passports. I wouldn’t visit again.
Food was pretty good. At the table we ordered the cheddar dip, the grilled veggie pizza and seafood medley. Parking lot was a crazy situation as it wasn’t pliers that well and there were no parking spaces available! Great vibe inside, nice seating.
I organized a surprise birthday celebration for my friend two weeks ago. Everything went well with the help of the staff. Cameron helped reserve a space for me weeks before the event. Troy, Natasha and the rest of the staff who worked on March 5th were wonderful and pleasant. They helped make this event extra special. Food was wonderful, great atmosphere and amazing service. Thank you.
The food was horrible. The fish tasted like deep fryer oil. It had no seasoning. It was soggy. It seemed like it was cooked ahead of time and refried before serving it to us. The fries were soggy and half of them were burnt. The red Thai curry chicken was a mess. It didn't taste like curry at all. I have had red thai curry chicken several times before at other restaurants and at home. The chickes was rubbery. This was so bad I can't even fully describe it. The rice was old. I can't believe they actually serve this to customers. I would never step into this place again.
Staff were friendly. New building so nice décor. Lunch menu was limited. So that was disappointing. Ordered the french onion soup which was mediocre. A dining companion had the chowder and liked that. Didn't order it because I didn't want salmon in a clam chowder. The lunch menu was quite chicken based with fun of the mill offerings.
The food is always great. Fish & chips is the best in town. A shout out to Kim who was excellent at our table of 4 for a birthday. She made it a great time!
Good food, good portion size, good location. A strange number of many items were unavailable when I visited, though, and that's the only real blemish on an otherwise excellent dining experience.
I have given a 1 star rather than 0 star review as I have eaten at the Brew Table in the past and the food and service were very good.
However, on Saturday of last week we had planned a family birthday celebration and a reservation was made for 6 p.m. For 5 people. At 5: 15 the restaurant called the # provided, however the call was missed as the recipient was outside. As no message was left it was assumed all was well and we headed over for 6 p.m.
When we arrived we were told that they had tried to call but as they didn't reach anyone the table was given away. That, however, is not the reason for the poor review as mistakes do happen. It appears that rather than writing down 5 people for 6 p.m, they had mistakenly written 6 people for 5 p.m.
When the hostess was asked why no message was left, her answer was curt and rude. "Maybe you should answer your phone" was her response and she walked away. A member of our party followed her (she never did turn around even though he was attempting to speak to her) and he asked {her back} for the manager. He was much more polite, however her rudeness left a bad taste and we left.
I understand that mistakes happen, but it was clearly an error on the restaurant's part and responsibility should have been taken in some manner. What should never happen is rudeness toward the offended party.
They are saying pick up order but it has been several days that we are calling and either they are not answering the phone or they are saying they are not taking orders
Very good since they moved location. A lot of staff and all very helpful and pleasant. The menu is simple but quite effective, with great choice of meat and other pub grub. The only down side is the open area makes it a bit noisy and difficult to have a soft conversation. Still, totally worth it.
No reservations. No inside seating. My family and I were stuck outside in full sunlight with no shade to speak of. Food was... OK. Definitely not in accordance with its reputation.
Very nice staff, good menu and prices, but food is hit and miss. Sent something back for the first time in my life (they had no complaints and didn't charge for it). It was terrible in every way, but fish and chips I got after was quite good. Same experience the time before (minus sending food back), some good some bad. Also they are often running out of certain dishes which is very annoying when you go there for a certain meal.
***Update. Very classy and professional management shown after hearing of my experience. Went above and beyond to listen, make adjustments, and make it right! Definitely will keep coming back!
Food and prices were good. Service though. Troy, was the bomb. The man hustled, wined, and dined. Didn't have much interaction with any other employees. This guy brought it home though. It was 45 degrees out and he held down the patio. Absolute gem. Treated my wife and I like we've been the first and only customer since they opened. Everywhere has good food and we like to try new things. I will be returning because the food is good and Troy was probably the best server I've had.
Ordered a beer on the patio. 4-5 sips in a wasp landed in the beer. I called the waitress over and she said they’re not replacing drinks with wasps as it happens all too often. This was not communicated when seated or ordering. She said she’d bring me a spoon and I could fish it out. I said I didn’t want to do that. She huffed and said she would replace it just this once. When the new beer came it was quite evident it was the old beer with the wasp fished out- not a clean glass, same volume of beer, no fresh head from a pour. Brutal.
Amazing food, our server Natalie was unbelievable. Great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! Haven't enjoyed a night out like this in a long time. Thanks!
I haven't been anywhere since lockdown, (my own work which is a 10) and I also give the Brew table the same status, I have been there a few times this week and I feel safe.they are totally following the rules and sanitizing everything. Great job guys! And thank you!
During Covid: Brew Table patio is large, extending into the parking lot. Lots of socially distant seating. When you need to go out, feel normal and sit on a patio, plenty of first come first served spaces!
Prices are generally high: on par with Perspectives at the Brookstreet, which is a much better restaurant and value for money.
The Brew Table is a great place to have lunch. At least during the fall when they can seat people outside it was a good crowd while respecting the covid limitations. The food was the usual excellent pub fare. One thing that can be said about the Brew Table is that they are very consistent.
This place is terrible. The food was ok at best but the service was the worst we have ever experienced. It was so bad that I didn't leave a tip for the first time in my life. There are plenty of better options in the area.
Lovely atmosphere with a really nice menu and lots of different beers to try. Seating could be at the bar, at a harvest table, in a nice booth along the wall or regular table. There is even a patio. Consider the possibility of even staying the night in the attached hotel if you are considering drinking more than one might safely be able to drive.
Arrived with my fiancee for nachos and a drink. Had been working out of town and she had just finished a long shift at her restaurant. We were cut off after half a drink and the server just walked away. Did not appreciate the service or treatment. Will never return. I guess you shouldn't laugh with your company while you are here. Ruined our night
It was pretty busy, but despite that, the service took an incredibly long time, and combine that with the overpriced, average food, made for a less than satisfactory visit.
Over the past few years I have really enjoyed going to The brew table, so much that this years it's where I chose to have my birthday celebration with some friends. Our party of 10 was served very well as per usual however this time my meal was a disappointment. I ordered a 30$ beef tenderloin that came with mash potatoes and veg. It was cooked as ordered however the whole plate really lacked any sort of seasoning of any type. The steak was very bland as well as the rest of the sides. I'm assuming maybe it got missed trying to plate 10 dishes at once. I didn't want to have to wait for another to be cooked since we were such a big party, so I just ate it and didn't say anything. Nevertheless I definitely expected a much better steak and plate since its price and the kitchens reputation. Next time I'll stick with the burger or a sandwich instead of spending the extra money.
