Worst customer service dealing with Zafar who is the store manager. If you like being missed treated, belittled and berated then this store is for you. I purchased a dishwasher with the triple play option (which is removal of unit & install). I no longer required the unit to be installed, so I called to cancel it. I later that afternoon went into the store to have credit refunded. First off to be told it could not be done, as I already had the dishwasher. Which was not the case I had just purchased the unit the day before. Then when asked my I was cancelling the triple play I had explained I had someone who is fully certified and licensed who could do it. Only to be told rudely they are not responsible for any damage, I tried to reassure Zafar I understood, only to be spoken to extremely rudely. And this is suppose to be the store manager? I have cancelled the order and have taken my business elsewhere. I have been a customer of The Brick for well over 20 + years. I can honestly say, I will no longer be shopping at The Brick.
However I would like to give a huge thank you to Amanda who helped with the purchased of the dishwasher. It’s truly is sadly she lost the sale all because of the store manager. I also would like to thank the lady behind the customer service desk who helped during the refund. She was very polite and friendly.

Just bought 4 dining chairs, and had a bad experience here. We put one together, it wasn’t very sturdy and wobbled a lot. I called to ask if we could return and buy a different style and because it wasn’t within 48 hours of purchase they said no returns or exchanges. I was passed around to 3 people before I got an answer, and am still waiting for a reply to my email asking to speak to the manager. Absolutely horrible customer service - I will not shop here again.

Worst customer service from HEATHER! 1 star is being way too generous. HEATHER doesnt know what customer service is! She argues with us instead of solving the problem! I cant believe how a comapany can hire someone who doesnt even know how to speak with a customer.

We bought all our appliances from the brick when we moved here in Barrie. Then got some furnitures too! Spent over $10,000 with all our purchases. Then this 4 bar stool when we ordered it was missing all the foot rest for all of them. Bought it in APRIL 2021. We were asking for an exchanged the moment we found out its missing. They refused! So we cut the legs of the bar stool so it will fit on our counters as we had no choice. Whenever we call then they kept changing and moving the date of our footrest.

DECEMBER 1 2021! Still no footrest! And we are sick and tired following up with them. HEATHER kept on saying because we modified them they cant take it back. So convenient for them to say it now but in the beginning they dont want to take it and shes saying due to COVID. As far as remember, its still covid and now they can take it but because of modification they cant! All im asking is my FOOTREST because its been paid for LONG TIME AGO! And this HEATHER kept on insisting about the modification. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. ARGUING, RAISING her voice and not even apologetic on the situation

Please save yourself from a headache especially dealing with HEATHER!

I shouldve dealed with better company who cares and not this!

Bought a tv on Christmas Eve, didn't open til boxing day price dropped down we got the price adjustment, but as we notice there was a white line comming line straight down the we had the rights to exchange within the 7 days. From purchase day til now we are in the rights of you minus the closed day out. They refused to do so and gave us a hard time. First I called explain the situation due to havng three kids and didn't want to being them all out and someone said this this and that and hung up. Came into the store still no luck til I had to call someone for assistance on the phone to finally get them to help. Asked for the manager, wouldn't take the time to come out to speak to us. Poorly as it sounds, did get my refund back then at the end caused more problem for us, we recently moved to Barrie and isn't thrilled about the brick customer service. They're only nice when they want to sell but anything refunding or anything along that topic, it's the worse customer service. Never again.

Worst experience I’ve had with customer service.

First of all, they said my bed would be in in 2 weeks, they did not tell me it may take up to a month and a half - which it did end up taking a month and a half!

Second of all, the part that we shipped in took a month a a half. Thank god i wasn’t moving into my new place December 1st.
They gave me a call and let me know they were having a huge sale on the part that i got shipped in, and if i didn’t get my bed delivered within the next week, they would be obligated to give it to somebody else.

How do you have a huge sale on something you’ve don’t even have the parts for?

I told my salesman (who also did not warn me about the shipping) on the day that i bought the bed, i wouldn’t want it until January 1st, and he said it was no problem. Well clearly it was, so i had to move around my schedule for you guys

Third of all, all of there employees will give you different answers about any questions you ask,
And the lady who i was mostly talking to, was very passive aggressive and refused to work with me, everything had to revolve around them.

I haven’t even put my bed together yet - they also did not warn me that you did not assemble.

Thanks, will not be back.

Screw the customer for as much as possible is their motto! They didn't honour the warranty I paid extra for! They wouldn't refund my money! They're extremely greedy and short sighted! Save yourself the horrible experience I've gone through and buy somewhere else! The so called refund on your warranty is only valid for 30 days when it expires so they screw a lot of people with that too! Horrible, horrible company, help put them out of business!

Wish I could leave lower no stars. Just had the brick deliver a mattress, box spring and frame. Which they were supposed to set up and didn’t. They gave me an open box frame that had mismatched parts that did not fit together and were scratched up.
When the delivery guys came in they knocked and just as I was going to open the door, the one guy shoves my door open, jarring my whole arm.
All he has to say when I’m signing the delivery slip “ good thing it wasn’t your right”
Really? !?
My boyfriend bought this as a gift for me. These people really know how to mess things up.
He called them and they said they couldn’t do anything about set up now the delivery guys are gone (we did call right away and again this morning) and if we wanted to do something about the used frame they gave us, he’d have to go get it in store.

This last time our experience was soooo special thanks to the man in the picture. Jay Young. He is a super talented caring patient and understanding sales person.
He goes out of his way to find a good deal for customers and informs you of the next time you can have mega sales up to 40% off.

Over the years we have bought a few things from the brick and Leons (same owners)
however i have been faced with bad experiences each and everytime i have gone with them.

I am so frustrated i am actually starting to post my bad experiences for you all to read.

I purchased a 6,200 Couch from the brick with a 5 year warranty i had to make a claim
my first year having the couch.it took them 5 months just to get me a call for someone
to look at my couch. What i had wrong was two of my non reclining seats the couchans deflated
so when you sit on them you are on the corner and you slide to one side.they said this was normal
so wait
its ok to sit on your couch and be sitting straight and then slide to your other partys 30 seconds later?

really.so i also had the stitching start to come out of my lounger.this was covered but it took 90 days and still no responce
the brick offered to replace my hole couch.or take money and cancel out my warranty so i thought ok cool so i get a new couch and i still have four years warranty
WRONG
they replaced my couch and did not transfer the warranty so i ended up only getting a manufacturer warranty only on this new couch
so i have the same probelm again where the couchan only leans to one side and the shay lounger is freyed.

I have put in a claim again and we will see how long it takes this time.

I was never told that switchign the couch would take out my warrenty if so i would have just got the money and ran.they told me it was on my invoice but i was not handed anything so its great they have copys on there side but i do not have copies on my side

So went into The Brick here in Barrie yesterday to buy a bedroom set for my granddaughter. I took in the ad off their website with "Product Details" section. I talked to an older saleman, showed him the ad which I will attach. It stated under "Product Details, " "dimensions" for that the bedroom set. A twin headboard, footboard, rails, mirror, nightstand, dresser and chest. The ad said it was a 5 piece set, BUT it listed all the above in "Product details". The salesman told me when I showed him the ad, that it was not right, they were "redesigning their website, and this was obviously an error. ". I asked him several times while he was processing the sale, that since this is what the ad said, IS THIS WHAT I AM GETTING? HE told me "yes", rang the sale through, and then he left to do something. While he was gone I noticed the chest and nightstand was NOT included on the invoice. My friend said we needed to talk to manager. We were brought in front of the MOST IGNORANT BULLY of a Sales Manager named Jason. Jason tried to tell me that just because the product detail listed all those items, doesn't mean that's what you are getting. He said "it just gives dimensions for products available with this line". "It does not say "package includes". I inquired then if that was the case then why was the online ad for the 4 PC, 5 PC, 6 PC, 7 PC, and 8 piece set of this line, advertised the same, with ALL product details of all available pieces in the line, like in the 5 piece set I came in to buy? I pointed out that this is what the ad listed, and why list products or dimensions for a "set" if they were not part of it? He was very BELLIGERENT, DISRESPECTFUL, CONDESCENDING, AND DOWN RIGHT RUDE. Told me he was not "giving me a $2024.00 set for $1199.00", said to " buy the 7 piece" if I wanted all products described", "he would call head office and have them print a retraction". HOWEVER, HE WOULD NOT HONOUR THE SALE PRICE AND GIVE ME THE ITEMS IN THE AD. I have NEVER been spoken to in that manner by ANY sales person in ANY store. This is simply a case of ""BAIT AND SWITCH" ADVERTISING. Why offer dimensions for products not included in the set, and put them under PRODUCT DETAILS, if they are not relevant to THAT particular set? That's like selling a car and giving the specs of another car, and saying, "well the mustang has this engine, or leather seats, and it is part of the same car manufacturers product list, so we added them in as a "detail" and gave "dimensions or specs" for it, not what you are REALLY buying. THIS IS BAIT AND SWITCH ADVERTISING. They lure u in with inaccurate ads and try to not honour the sale price and include what the ad LEADS UTO BELIEVE is included, and a bully of a manager talks to u like you are stupid because you are a WOMAN, Jason would never talk to a man like he did myself and my friend. Bottom line, you and your salesman admiited an error was made. You do not print "retractions" otherwise. This is the ad. Judge for yourselves. Please share and make Brick be accountable for their actions.

I discussed what occurred, and how I felt about how I was treated, and was offered bedroom set "as advertised" with all 7 pieces advertised at the advertised sale price. The Brick did however, change the ad online. Thanks Berta for the excellent Customer Care, and restoring my faith in The Brick.

My sales person was Sherry Alkerton, I was there to purchase a mattress and box spring.
Dont even know where to start my praise of Sherry, she was attentive, compassionate and unbelievably helpful. Had patients of a saint, and that is said mildly, cause I kept her hoping for a couple of hours, while I was making up my mind and kept changing it over and over.
My experience was delightful and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
Keep up the good work Sherry. We need more sales people like you.

I had a wonderful experience at the Barrie store. "Papa James" was my sales associate. I first visited the Newmarket store, as it was local to me, and was interested in purchasing a reclining glider. I was 9 months pregnant at the time, hoping to find a chair for the nursery. I saw 2 chairs I liked, but wanted my husband to see them as well. We went for dinner in Barrie that night, and decided to stop into the Barrie store just to see the chairs. James greeted us immediately, and was very kind in ensuring I was happy. He was focused on the best product for me, not on the price. He wound up recommending the less expensive chair, and made me confident in the decision. Looking back, I would have been very unhappy with the second one I was looking at. We wound up returning to the Barrie store, even though it was much further out of our way, to order the chair. James was again very accommodating. We were very happy with the customer service, and my new daughter loves to rock in our chair. Thank you, James, for the outstanding service.

I had two very very very bad customer service experience in my life and this is one of them!
I ordered and paid for a wall oven few months ago, I find out it was discontinued the next week but nobody from the brick has called to notify me until 3 weeks later! I was told because I have waited for a long time so they'll upgrade my wall oven, when I checked online the "upgraded" one was actually $50 cheaper than the one I ordered. So speechless but I didn't bother call back and argue cause I have waited so long I just want them to give me my oven. So I waited and waited for another month, meanwhile every week I have to check when is the oven going to arrive and until one day I got mad then they finally say it will arrive. After 2 months waiting the "upgraded" oven arrive and they picked a wrong one. This is so frustrated I called for a refund and their manager Jason was yelling back at me! I don't know why such a big store would have trained/ hired a person with such bad attitude, and this guy call himself a manager, what a joke.

My friends and I just dropped by to look for new house furniture but we were surprised to find out they were having a huge tent event sale which was already a bonus! While walking around and looking for someone to ask some questions we met Lucas, a sales consultant there, who was nice enough to show us around the whole store and outside. He walked with us around the store, back and forth, and helpled us find the best deals! Because we kept adding to the list he even ended up having to stay over his program just to help us ensure we got everything we needed. He was very pacient with us, did not push other useless sales on us and was happy to help! I highly recommend you go look for him when you go to The Brick in Barrie/Innisfil.

DON'T EVER! EVER buy from the Brick in Barrie, not only will they lie and lie and lie to get you to buy their product, they'll laugh at you as they do it. Sent over $3000- on a main 8 piece couch, still in the boxes, and the same unit now on sale for $1500- as them to price match, i got told, no sorry i can give you $300- cash, but no returns, and sorry for your luck! Seriously! Ask for the manager! He laughed at me! And said forget the $300- you mistake for buying them and get lost! Made our money and you lost on it, i couldn't believe the way they treated people! Avoid this place at all cost!

There have been about five experiences here that have absolutely sucked! And as a result, will never shop here again.

1. Mattress - I purchased a king size mattress, box frame and bed frame. Originally my bed was a $2,500 bed on over 1/2 price. Delivery guys screwed up and decided they wouldn’t bring my new mattress in the house. So they went back.

They said tough luck and switched mattresses on me the second time, now a $1,300 mattress worth $1,300 (half the quality of a $2,500 mattress I originally got on sale). They thought this was acceptable.

They left the mattress although I didn’t want it and didn’t leave an updated receipt. As far as they’re concerned, I have the original mattress I ordered. No cares given.

2. I bought something from a different brick location I used to live. It had a malfunction (shocker). So I called the brick in Barrie and they said they’d honour the warranty. Got there and they refused to help me out because the original store was a privately owned one.

As far as I’m concerned, the brick is the brick.

3. Rude sales staff just out for a quick buck.

I’ve found over my visits, staff there are 100% sales focused and will do anything to make the sale. That includes lying about tv’s saying that they’re 4K when they’re not, saying certain furniture has a lifetime warranty when it doesn’t, and just not helpful at all.

Don’t shop here or any brick for that matter.

Service people on the phone are very helpful and pleasant. My problem is with what I have to do to online to report and mattress we purchased Feb of 2017that has failed. After 3 days of trying to file a report online. Very frustrating to say the least. It instructs me to take picture at least 2 of under my bed. One of the top to show the kind of rails we have. Which means we would have to remove both box spring and mattress from our bed to take the picture. There has to be a better way to get service when a mattress fails. I paid 1332.26 for the set.

Tried to buy a gas dryer. No service help to be found. After finding the appliance I wanted myself, eventually someone came to help after over 20 minutes. This was presumably the manager who had the personality and wit of a peanut. Was ready to purchase my item, then he tells me about all the damage markings on the unit and hat this was a returned unit. I asked for a $50 reduction and he already was giving $20 prior as is. Guy was so arrogant and refused. Needless to say walked out of store and won’t be seeing my business!
footnote ; I purchased my dryer at another appliance store, no shwarmy attitude. In future don’t treat your Customer as though you are doing them a favour.loose the poor attitude.

I had bought a expensive mattress at The Brick when it was delivered by the delivery people they had ripped the underneath well bring it up the stairs I had not realized it until it was time for me to change the furniture is when I noticed after I called the break to notify them what the delivery guys have done they told me you waited three days too long to tell us these delivery people do not care and will do damage and the brick doesn't care as well

Had a wonderful experience purchasing our bed at the Barrie location, salesman was very helpful and attentive to our needs. We were able to delay our delivery to fit with out move in date to our new home. We were moving out to Angus and were told that the bed would be delivered and set up for us on the day we chose, however this was not the case. When the delivery got here, the men quickly put the bed into the room, had me sign the invoiced then told me "the instructions to build are in the box" and left. After calling the store I was told that Angus is considered out of town and therefore they do not assemble anything. We were never told this in store, when I called to confirm delivery or on our invoice. Extremely disappointed.

I'm currently in the middle of playing phone tag with customer service about a faulty Danby fridge I JUST purchased which was delivered to me broken! It makes a loud and annoying sound as though it's hungry (even drowns the TV volume out). The motor is obviously malfunctioning. Steve, the manager I'm trying to get a hold off doesn't return calls. I'm wasting more time than I should to even speak with someone. If I get a hold of someone and the experience is positive I will revise this, but for now the customer service team is lacking and don't want to honor the product which was delivered to me THE DAY BEFORE. I WANT TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW TO SAY THAT WITHIN A COUPLE DAYS' TIME, THE BRICK ACTUALLY DID FOLLOW UP WITH ME AND THE REPLACEMENT FRIDGE WAS DELIVERED THAT WEEKEND. SO THANK YOU FOR THAT, IT DESERVES A REVIEW UPDATE. I CHANGED THE RATING FROM 1 TO 3 STARS.

selection at the brick is top notch and my house is 55% furnished with the brick Barrier and 45% Leon's Furniture. If you are planning to buy see LG and he will not only take your money but will get product that you will make you happy and come back for more down the road.
If the number 2 salesman at the brick can't sell you product who will.
But honestly test his knowledge if need to but he knows his stuff,

I arrived shortly before closing. The saleslady, manager and staff were quite friendly and accomodating even though they had to stay a few minutes extra to finish the sale.
