The Burnt Tongue

I really want to like this place, but have yet to collect an order that isn't stone cold. Here's hoping they come up with a system for take out.

The Turkey soup was delicious and so was the Salami sandwich. I have had one not great sandwich out of at least 20 soup n sandwiches that I have purchased & this store was fabulous at listening when I was disappointed. So thank you, I will be buying lots more lunches & promoting in my office! Very Happy Long-term customer

Dundas location. Very good quality sandwich. Kale with fruit & nuts was excellent (dressing really balances the strong kale).

The pastrami on rye is very good, but what's with the chili mustard? Half of montreal and new york are rolling their eyes. Mustard is supposed to be mustard-hot not chilli-hot.

A simple order of fries. Highly recommended. Must have been a bad day in the kitchen. Hard, burnt, tasteless and green bin worthy.

Great soup restaurant and the sandwiches make a good complement. I was recommended the samosa soup and I don't regret it! Very flavorful and only a bit spicy, it was topped with some crunchy roasted chickpeas that provide a nice contrast of texture.

The creamy tomato tortellini soup was rich and creamy and exactly what I expected. I would definitely order it again. German sausage and spelt on the other hand was lackluster to be generous. It was a simple broth with some floating chunks of sausage- really wasn't too great at all. The French onion grilled cheese was a solid 5 stars on its own though. Caramelized onions in a grilled cheese sandwich? Awesome. Safe choice for a quick lunch.

I was very sick and ordered a large chicken noodle.what I received was 97% broth only.no chicken maybe a spoonful of noodles at the bottom. Clearly it was made carelessly.

Excellent! Love my soup and Burnt Tongue is my go to… the new Dundas location doesn’t disappoint!

The service was very quick and the food was very tasty, my friend had a different soup and half sandwich and her's was very good also.
Will be back to try more items on the menu.

I am always happy with my visits to the Burnt Tongue, and after visiting all locations I can say I'm happy with the consistency in quality and experiences with the staff. The soups are always unique and delicious, and I strongly recommend the kale ceasar salad to go along with it!

The food was great and ready on time. The grilled cheese are amazing, we tried 3 different ones and all were worth every penny. The chilli was lovely and hot and had ample meat. The lentil curry soup had a really nice hit of curry. Kale salad was well done too. I like to eat and the chilli, one grilled cheese and half the salad, I was full!
