I just finished my dental Assistant program at CADH college. Great college and good atmosphere. I gained so much knowledge from experienced teachers Ms. Ana and Ms. Karen. They both were so nice and great teachers. Both truly care about their students. Absolutely recommending this program and college with knowledgeable teachers!

CADH was a great experience for me! I learned so much from the DA instructors. Karen and Ana were great and was always there if you need any help.

PLEASE READ: THIS SCHOOL IS VERY DECEIVING. PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL. YOU WILL REGRET IT. You will learn very little, their curriculum is out dated and you will have extremely little practical training. Financial aid made a mistake with an OSAP cheque that was sent back as I decided not to go with OSAP. The money was sent back to OSAP apparently through financial aid supposedly and now OSAP is coming after me for the money that was sent back. This school has made a lot of mistakes with students payments for the programs. I am still having a very difficult time looking for work in this field because we learned very little. I have to be re trained at a job and most Dental clinics have no time to waste retraining you. I need a job and can’t hold a job because I learned so little in this joke of a school. I don’t even know where to begin. Let me start off by first saying that I was contemplating schools and unfortunately I was pressured by Miss Tina to enroll when I wasn’t sure about the school. I decided to take the dental assisting program and it was the worst decision I made. The school is inadequate in supplies and equipment is very old, out dated or broken. It was very difficult to learn having to share broken equipment with your fellow classmates. The school director and some faculty members treat you like you have no human rights and once they have your money, they will find ways to make more money off you. The school also made a huge mistake with my student loan and kept money that was supposed to be sent back to OSAP. OSAP is now coming after me for the money the school kept and did not send back. This school will destroy your life. I am stuck paying back something I don’t owe. They apparently have made many mistakes with student loans. All they care about is money not education. Finally I completed this joke of a program and I paid for my program in full and after graduating they refused to give us our diplomas and made up an excuse that we owed the school more money in a group email that was sent to the students in my class. The students who paid for the program in full were still denied their school transcripts and now we are fighting for the diplomas we deserve and paid for after successfully completing the program several weeks later. This school is strictly a business to make profit not benefit your career. Do your selves a favour and choose a better school. You will regret enrolling in this school. STILL UNABLE TO PROVIDE A DIPLOMA TO A FUTURE EMPLOYER AND ALL CLINICS WILL ASK FOR YOUR DIPLOMA.

I graduated from college last year. I wanted to mention teachers Ana and Karen, as both of them are very professional and well organized. They really try to do best for students and adjust to students needs. The lectures include a lot of practices and hands-on training, so it was very helpful. It was some challenges because the half period we study only because of Covid. However, there was some problems with admission lady Tina. She is not very responsible person and can forget and loose you documents and so on. And if apply fir OSAP please watch your payments, it's can happen that you own money at the end acording to finance office. But in general it wasn't so bad if you study and know what you are doing. Good luck!

I have graduated from this collage back in 2019 it was very professional. However, I called to make recommendations for my friend and spoke to the admission coordinator for hygiene program "Tina" and she was very disrespectful and unprofessional. She did not let me speak and didn't give me the information I wanted and she hangup on me while I was talking. I also saw many comment that people are complaining about her; this collage needs to look/review the situation.
13 May 2022 9:58
The admission woman for the dental hygiene program (Tina Pittman) was absolutely terrible to work with. She was so rude unprofessional and always was quick to rush me off the phone. Having someone as the face of your school and the ONLY person you can reach out to for more
Information on the program, advice getting into the program and etc being so hostile really puts a sour taste in your mouth. I tried hard to look past her bitterness but this being my first introduction to the school experience and then reading some other reviews and seeing people discuss this same woman made me realize that if this is how it is initially what these people are saying has to be true. She’s truly money focused and makes me think they only let people in this school who’s parents have a lot of money based off of the extremely personal questions she would ask. Instead of giving the student advice on how to plan for finances IF accepted she immediately jumps into questions like “well how much do your parents make” and literally made me feel like I shouldn’t apply here if I don’t have a unlimited amount of money. Overall due to the lack of support INITIALLY and the really bad experience with admissions I will be applying elsewhere! MAKE YOUR DECISION WISELY BECAUSE THIS IS ABOUT YOUR FUTURE!

As a newly graduated student from CADH, I can honestly say this school values money way more than students. Not money that they put into the school, but money they keep for themselves. Equipment is constantly broken, the clinic is dirty with bugs all of the time (see pictures) and classroom sizes are way too small. THEY ALSO CONSTANTLY LOSE CLIENTS CHARTS. CHARTS WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION. ADDRESSES, PHONE NUMBERS, MEDICAL CONDITIONS. They waived fees for clients during covid just to increase the fees after the waived period so they could make back the money they lost. They just wanted to make their money back. They’re extremely money hungry. They have a classroom in the basement that they do not disclose and do not show during the tour of the school. This classroom has no AC, no windows and students are crammed in the small room together. On multiple occasions one student got sick and a group of students in the class would also get sick due to the lack of air flow and the fact we basically had to sit shoulder to shoulder. Further, the school very much so IS BIASED. On multiple occasions I have EXPERIENCED AND WITNESSED multiple students being favoured and given clients to pass while the school lets the others fail. They pick and choose who to pass and who to fail based off of personal preferences for them, not for success of students. The problem with current students writing reviews is that’s it’s NOT authentic feedback. The fear of writing honest reviews that may be negative would result in the student most likely getting into some type of trouble at school. This school attempted to make students pay $75 for gloves (see picture) when the glove brand sells it for $50 on their website. The school also forces students to buy scrubs (they aren’t included in the tuition for some reason. Scrubs should be included in the tuition at a health care school) and only allowed students to buy them from the school. Faculty members are also NEVER coordinated on policies and rules. Some faculty say different things than others, and students end up being blamed for it every single time. Especially in clinic, some faculty members will tell us to do things one way and we get yelled at in front of our clients by the next faculty that comes in. The school is also very unprofessional. They never respond to emails and leave students confused and stressed. Which again, students get blamed for. The financial manager went on vacation for a week after we graduated when she knows that graduating students have fees to sort out. What kind of school allows the financial manager to go on vacation during a time like that? They sent MULTIPLE emails hassling students about payments and we had to wait for her to return so we could actually pay it. They preach professionalism to the students but show 0 professionalism themselves. I didn’t have a single good experience at this school. They will fail students in one level and will fail the same amount or more in the level below just so there’s room for the upper students they failed. Do yourself a favour and apply to George Brown or Toronto Auxiliaries. CADH is a prison and I would never recommend this school to anyone. The majority of the reviews of the hygiene program are negative, and it’s negative for a reason because it’s true.

Guys my name is Ashok and I am a Level 3 student in CADH. It is very disheartening for me to view some negative comments here; but today I will provide you the most authentic feedback and you can trust me as I am a current level 3 student at CADH. First of all, if you are looking for a easy peasy, part time kind of course in which your attendance or serious involvement is not necessary, than dental hygiene course at CADH is not for you. But who actually wants that? I was never looking for a formality in the name of a professional course because in real world you cannot get a good job even after completing such courses. There are tons of 6 month or 3 month courses in market which you can do easily but what about jobs after that? I need not to reply we all know the answer. Now let's come to my college and staff. Guys I am of South Asian origin and I can say that like our lovely Canada, our CADH is also free of any biasing and undue favors. CADH has highly professional, exceptionally knowledgeable and above all very good hearted faculty. But yes do not think that you can easily pass out from here without giving your 100%. But that's true for every world class institute; can someone easily pass out from MIT without doing hard work? The answer is NO.the same holds true for CADH also. Although few people who failed to deliver their 100% or who were actually incapable (sorry for this word) for such courses, left their course in-between and now defaming my school just to hide their incapabilities. Guys if you have that fire in you, if you truly wants to be a confident dental hygienist in future, trust me CADH is the right place for you. Rest, it is on you- what kind of person you are and what are your expectations with your future.

The two star is solely based on the interaction I have had with the admission staff. Cannot speak to the lectures or contents.
28 July 2021 1:38
Ridiculous and worst college ever. All the one star reveiws are true. Education is not meant to be so torture. They are taking tons and tons of money from students and in return giving them depressive atmosphere. Doesnt matter how much you are hard worker, teachers will judge you on your religion, on your country origin and will fail you for no reason. Sometime it depends on teachers mood as well. They pretend like they want to fail those who are from other countries. Lots of warnings. You cant even breath properly. Scary atmosphere. And if you want to ask them something or you are in doubt regarding anything they will never help you. Instead rudely guide you. Patheticc everything. Professionalism is big demand from students but not from instructors. Think twice.
23 May 2021 7:02
The worst ever, the requirements/entrance exam are unrealistic, and the admission coordinator for hygiene program "Tina" is disrespectful and rudeness on foreigners. She didn't give me the information which i want she just push me to the program's she want.
They reject students without convincing reasons.
I recommend reading the reviews before applying to this college.

When I close my eyes, recall what we have experienced, what we have studied. Wow! We have been taught so many many techniques of dental assisting. At first, it’s too abstract to understand in this assisting program. But following my instructor, Miss Ana Puntillo, through studying step by step, I find myself already become professional in this filed which help me to build confidence in future work. Exactly I've already find my job successfully. That should attribute the success to my instructor’s strict training.
She’s a very fair, wise and professional teacher which lets me have the new experience in new world.

As well as Miss Lloyd who’s our level two instructor. Her positive attitude and smile always affects me.
Infection control is very critical in this school. So I introduced many friends for dental hygiene there.
10 April 2021 9:40
The admission office call center of hygiene is the most rude and disrespectful person you will ever talk to, she give you the feeling that she is giving you a huge favour if she answers or talks to you, I am extremely discouraged to do anything with this academy after speaking to that super rude lady

I’m rating the school 5 stars based on the dental Assistant program a lot of reviews fail to recognize that there are two wonderful teachers that teach this program miss Lloyd and miss Anna work well together. They both have different teaching styles miss Lloyd is a wonderful and caring instructor she’s cares about her student and want to see them all succeed. She goes over and back for all of us, she not only help us with our education she also is a friend to all. I just love her not only her students love her the DH students adore her and always say they wish they had her as a instructor. True miss Anna is a wonderful teacher also. I strongly recommend this program because of these two ladies. I’ve been successful in my career and I owe it all to them both, thank you miss Lloyd and miss Anna.

I recently finished the dental assisting program and I loved it! Amazing school! I got an amazing job from it very very satisfied!
28 October 2020 6:14
The program is shorter, but they don't make it easy on you as a student.

The requirements are unrealistic and it's a military style type of environment. They give students warnings for very little thing. The Dental hygiene program is not designed for you to pass, it's very challenging and Miss Grater and few other faculty members are extremely scary and not pleasant.

The office staff are rude/negative and Tina does not disclose all the important details required to pass. For example, Students are told that the school helps you find clients which is far from the truth. You have to find your own and if you don't meet all the criteria you dont pass.

When you go in to the school for a tour, they only show you the upstairs. However, there are classes being held also in the basements and it's sticky and ZERO ventilation. Not to mention, the students lunch room and public cafeteria is in the basement and it's unpleasant because of the smell and zero air conditioning.

I wish i have read the reviews before I enrolled in this program. I didnt think it would be as bad as the reviews but it's actually worse. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD ENROL IN THIS SCHOOL.

This place is a great place to study! The teachers are really great to learn from and the school itself is a really understanding and helpful environment!
05 May 2020 17:07
Having been a student at CADH in the dental hygiene program, although it was really hard, the faculty were very approachable and helpful with whatever I needed. The facilities are very clean and well taken care of. This is a great school and I couldn't have felt more supported:)
28 December 2019 15:46
Good place to get cleaning done if you don’t have insurance. Students are welcoming and friendly. They do their best.

It does take many visits before cleanings are complete and can take 2 hours or more each.

My only complaint is the front desk and waiting area. The receptionist keeps the volume of the tv so loud and often inappropriate shows are on, and if you have to sit and wait with kids it’s a nuisance and I have to ask her to at least either put the volume down or change the channel. She hardly even knows how to do that for some reason.

Better to keep the TV off than have it like that. ‍️

I am a previous student of CADH as DA. My instructor was Miss ANA. She is very nice, approachable, understanding, fair and good instructor. You can ask her anything about being a DA, from personal experiences to what to expect from your first job and expectation from the best and worst dentists. She is an awesome instructor and personal coach.

Worse school ever. As a newcomer to Canada back in 2006 I went to this school looking for info on the programs they offered, I was ushered into an office and made sign what I thought was a request for more info on the classes to be sent to me via email and it ended up being a registration form! Few months later I received a call to arrange payments and to let me know classes schedules, I had just become a mom and I said I couldn't start school and I hadn't signed anything and was told to come to the school to clarify things up only to he threatened with legal action because I had signed a legal binding document! I told them I couldn't start school right away and they told me I had to start the next semester (September) or they could sue me under some school law and I yes I had to start school in September against all my wishes for fear of being sued. Looking back they totally took advantage of the fact I was a newcomer. Seriously stay away.

First of all, the dental assisting program at CADH has only one teacher. Thank you Miss Ana for being a great teacher! Given that the overall system of how things work there, I would give this school an overall low mark of 1 star. Only because of Miss Ana being a great teacher am I pushing this up to 3 stars. I wish that there was a way to know all the downsides or problems in this school before signing up but that's rarely the case in joining any school or job. But here are are two examples: Not enough dental chairs available for practice. Limited instruments and tools for practice. Overall, DA was always given a lower priority versus the dental hygiene program at CADH. To be honest, I can't compare CADH's DA program to other schools. I have to admit, me and my friends got jobs as DAs when graduating. However, I'm guessing the same is true for those finishing at other schools because there are many DA jobs available. So, I can't say there's anything special at this school. Bottom line: No matter where you go for a DA program, you'll likely end up finding a lot of negatives. All that matters is studying hard to get through it and get that first job.

Very worst school to study. The financial aid officer is waste. She lost all the documents for OSAP and spoil the future of lots of students. If you need OSAP please choose another better school

Welcoming atmosphere, and great staff. I have been working with them for about 10 years now. Really invested in their students and technology to advance the curriculum. Always a pleasure. Thanks guys.

My daughter is attending this school and i seriously regret sending her. Alot of pressure on students, short staffed. Extremely difficult finding certain cases, if you don't complete you fail. Very expensive program. Would not recommend this school for those wanting to study dental hyigene. Their only concern is $$$, they are setting up students to fail, cash grab. Not sure how this type of school is accredited.
19 March 2019 16:54
The teachers are humiliating to the students! They are Biased & racist! Students studying at this college feel demoralized every day. Only very few good teacher exist in the college like metersy. This college needs accreditation stripped, otherwise frustrated students could harm themselves mentally or physically. ItsI serious issue. DON'T SEND UR CHILDREN TO THIS COLLEGE!
08 March 2019 11:42
I used to come for cleanings here and was happy with the work the students gave. It does take several visits before the cleanings begin and visits can be up to 2 hours long. The hours available do not always accomodate the patient. I used to go to another school and cleanings were always quick and done in one day not over several visits like at this school. Be careful that your time as a patient is not wasted though. It takes me half an hour to get to this school and I went in for an assessment by one of the students and was promised my cleaning would be done in one sitting since the more advance students can take you for one visit however that assessment was a waste of my time and I'm glad I didn't get and pay for an exray while there. The student called to say that he took other patients for a cleaning and that another student would call me. Another student called but there was no one to take me for a one appoinment cleaning, so I called the office to ask for a student to call me since they had already gotten my visit for the asssessment. No one from the office followed up with me and no student called me so my 1 hour there for the assessment was a complete waste of my time and in the end it led to no one calling me and no cleaning. In total I wasted 3 hours of my time accomplishing nothing for the initial assessment. No one from the office followed up with me after they said they would. I am disappointed that I can just be forgotten and fall through the cracks as a patient of good standing who has been coming to this academy for many years. The academy always seems clean but some of the students seem stressed out. The dentist instructors are very good at this academy and check the students work thoroughly.

I came here to warn any future students about this horrible place but all the bad reviews are pretty spot on. Read them before choosing.
31 January 2019 16:17
Awesome time at this school. Took the DA aprogram. Teacher knows her stuff. Very pleasant, always willing to help, she’s a type a teacher who goes above and beyond to help us be the best we can be. Highly recommend this school!

I am writing this review as a former student. This school is absolutely the worst school to study dental hygiene. The management probably made tall claims to get approval from accredition committee and because of that students have to sweat and bleed to pass the course. The school is like someone who has no money but very expensive tastes. They say they have very high standards, bit do little to help you to achieve them. You are on your own there. They are all about stupid rules and paperwork. They have only 20 chairs and they expect you to complete tons of things without enough clinics available. Sometimes, clinical faculty do not show for some reason, which is understandable but students lose valuable little time they have in clinic as their work cannot be checked because there is a faculty member less.

You are expected to bring your own clients, who sometimes cancel last minute or simply do not show up. Your future is in the hands of strangers, if they show up regulalry, with some luck you will pass or fail if too many clients cancel or drop out. It is your loss if it happens as you do not get chair time back that was allotted to you. Students in desperation to complete requirements to pass course pay clients for their time, for their cab rides, and even treatment. It is a pain to find clients as clinic hours are fixed for each group and usually there is always a conflict with clinic time and client's availability. School does very little in getting you clients and is far from enough. They gave me 2 clients from 20-30 km away, which is of no use as clients do not want to travel 2 hours by bus for multiple 2 hour appointments, unless you pay for their cab. Faculty sometimes decide the level of difficulty of cleaning for a client and they have a few times changed the designated level during the course of treatment. It screws up the students plan totally. But if your assessment about difficulty level is totally different from faculty, you get a fail grade. It is strange and unfair that they can fail you on something while faculty members can change the decision of difficulty level that was jointly made with another faculty. You have to make sure faculty transfer grades on your grading sheet or you forfeit the grade even successfully completing the activity. Their explanation is that each faculty has to oversee 6 students. They conveniently forget that even the student has a lot to do in clinic and they can forget too. Why have faculty if they cannot complete their job. Whatever you do, it is your responsibility and your fault if something goes wrong.

This school has tons of rules, and less logic behind them. They make rules to make your life difficult. Education is not meant to be so, so stressful. I can go on and on about how the school made my blood boil and make me pull my hair. If you are thinking about enrolling there, please stay away. My friend who did not listen to my opinion, studies there and she agrees all of this is true. This school will take a toll on your health, and personal life. Faculty and management do not listen to student concerns and act like dictators on what they have decided even if it is counter productive. Dental hygiene education system is seriously messed up. Nothing has changed after I graduated as I still talk to students and they tell me these things.

Dirties Dental school. Washrooms are dirty. Students desks are dusty. I had visited Oxford College in Scarborough and Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and they are very very clean as compared to Canadian Academy. Its unbelievable that they are teaching Hygiene and the school's cleanliness is terrible. I was looking forward going in to this school until my Hygienist told me not to go because they fail students on purpose. They actually failed a student who was a dentist back home, she got 98% on the exam and told she was cheating. The student said if they dont believe she will do the test again. But instead, they put so much pressure on her. And she decided to quit in the middle of the school year. I hope the ministry of ed can watch after the schools like this who ripped the students pocket.
05 June 2018 20:27
Worst school for dental hygiene out there. They will frequently over pack the classes despite only having 20 chairs in the clinic, they are money hungry and will rip you off. As a previous student, they are only supposed to accept 40 students because of having 20 chairs but they will accept more just for the money, and then force the students to bend to their ridiculous scheduling because of their greediness. If a student is to require extra help, during the "spring break" equivalent, they will be forced to pay 90$ AN HOUR on TOP of their tuition for extra help. Terrible school, they don't help you find your clients, DO NOT GO HERE. I regret it every day.
