Food is awesome, but unnecessarily expensive. 2 of us shared the shishitos, brisket, a side of cornbread (huge sides, definitely should be shared), and a slice of the Banoffee pie and paid $50+ each (no drinks).

FOOD: huge portion
• Pitmaster Platter (for 2) : it's so big if you order anything else other than this you won't be able to finish.
Pull pork and chicken was meh. I really really like the brisket and sausage. Brisket was melt in my mouth, sausage is very flavorful. The rib was very well seasoned as well.

• Smoke Bacon Ceasars: I didn't understand what's going on, I got a huge, like half an uncut lettuce, not enough of dressing, and salty.

• Salmon tartar: I like this one, I love that they fry the seaweed. The seaweed, avocado and salmon goes very well together. But it has very little salmon.

• Banoffee Pie: this one surprised me. Not sure what's the popcorn for but the rest was great. Right sweetness, the pudding was rich.

SERVICE: decent, it's quite busy that day so I had to wait a while for the food, or someone came take our order.

VIBE: quite loud in there, I think the table is too small for platters or more than 3 plates at a time.

Was just here an hour ago with a group, the food was good but the server kept insisting I buy a drink (alcohol). I mentioned I don't drink so they pushed hard that I buy a thyme mocktail without giving me a chance to read the other options (like over my shoulder touching the menu/just very close and pushy). I got a coke with my meal instead (& still tipped 18%) but I left feeling pretty upset about the whole thing. The waiter also ignored our table at the end so I had to ask someone else for the takeout bag.

It is a touch expensive but in my mind, worth it!

Fantastic service and delicious BBQ! I had went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we all had such a great experience. We were impressed with the quality of the food - the burnt end lettuce wraps, cauliflower and mac and cheese were huge hits at our table to pair with the pit master platter. Hayley was our server and added so much to our experience. We will definitely be going back!

Carbon bar has been my go to place now, my husband and I have recently been here and the food is phenomenal, the service has been amazing and the staff is extremely friendly, me and my husband usually get the platters and it never disappoints! The food is always so consistent and delicious my favourites are the Mac and cheese, ribs and brisket. Highly recommended! I will definitely be coming here again very soon!

The food, the vibe and the servers are so so nice. This is perfect place for birthday dinner with your family, friends. They charge only $3/person for birthday cake service (keep refrigerate, sparklers and cut the cake for us).

Thank you to the owner Brad and his amazing servers/chefs Madison, Taylor, Brogan, as well as the rest of the staff for always creating a fun and memorable atmosphere. The food is great, the drinks are great and the playlist is dope.

Underwhelming meats. We got the platter and honestly the meats were just ok, nothing special. The brisket was good, but that's about it.

What a great dining experience. Loved the vibe and has amazing staffs with very good customer service! If you’re in Toronto, must visit and enjoy the dining experience! ️

The mixed plate is great and the brisket is the best I've ever tasted, plus an excellent service and ambiance.

Absolute waste of your money. Spend it elsewhere: Table of 4, Gaellen the server ignored us all night.

Unfortunately regardless of whether the food is amazing or not - the service offered here vs cost is beyond disappointing.

Four of us were ignored all night, a round drinks took 30-45 minutes to arrive, only after we called over the manager. At one point we we had to leave our table and walk to the bar to get our drinks. Gaellen continued to ignore our table all night; unknown why.

We would of spent hundreds of dollars more in desserts and drinks if Gaellan paid us any attention instead of ignoring us and standing by the kitchen area all night.

Management / Owners: Gaellan should be laid off as he has no interest in serving customers. In fact he cost you hundreds of dollars in lost food/drink orders for his lack of service.

We complained to the manager whom confirmed the service was horrendous - she took over our table, confirmed the lack of service, and was helpful to remedy the situation.

I would never come back here. Absolute rip off. Not worth the money you’re spending.

I made a phone order for a Dessert to-go. Made sure to ask twice the price of the Dessert and was confirmed 9$ a piece. I walked all the way to collect my order and was surprised to see a 50% increase in the price. The attendant did mention that she made a mistake while communicating the wrong price on the phone, however sounded least apologetic and nowhere accommodating of the fact that as a customer, i made no mistake in asking the price and walked all the way. I could have paid that price increase, however, i just didnt because it was a matter of "Right and Wrong". My conscious didnt allow me to accept it. Just for records, i went on 10 December, 2021 close to 9 PM.

Carbon Bar is my favourite barbecue restaurant in Toronto! I loved their decor and brisket, pork crackling, kimchi lettuce wraps.

BBQ platter and cocktails are excellent, as well as service and ambience. One star down because all desserts are just horrendous. Will come again, but will never order any dessert.

Never got to dine in here to get the full experience as I started ordering takeout from here during the pandemic. Seems like they lowered prices a bit since it started, making it more affordable. I've tried a few different sandwiches from them, my favorite being their chicken sandwich. Their mac & cheese slaps though.

From start to finish it was excellent.the staff is so accommodating and the food is mouth watering would definitely recommend this restaurant

The Burnt Ends Kimchi Samm is life changing. Every single component of that dish has been carefully thought out and amazingly executed. Can't wait to go again.

Great bbq and cocktails. Service was great and then disappeared for a long time (?). A bit too much food per person, but overall a great night.

Something changed about this restaurant when I first visited 3 years ago. I ordered the Pit master platter both times. When I first had it, the brisket was juicy and super flavourful, ribs were tender and still had some bite to them, and the burnt ends were mind blowing. When I went just recently, the brisket looked moist but was actually pretty dry inside, ribs were tough, and burnt ends were so-so. Pickles tasted good but weren't crunchy at all. Service is still great, but the food was a disappointment. I used to rave about it to my friends all the time but it looks like I will need to find a new barbecue spot to recommend.

We can always look to the Carbon Bar for great food! I love their Mac and Cheese. I'm always on the hunt for a great Mac and Cheese and this is one of my favourites!

Had my birthday dinner there, wonderful staff and delicious food. The atmosphere was great, too. Would strongly recommend if you like BBQ and tasty desserts:)

Fantastic barbecue, filling platters and melt-in-your-mouth bacon. My friend was disappointed by the steak, I would stick to the bbq here (perhaps best in the city) 8.7

Overpriced food for small portion size. Ordered the bbq platter (Pit Master for 1) and barely got any food.

Also ordered the Mac and Cheese (the biggest size) it was a small portion of food for what you pay for— extremely thick and creamy but lacked taste.especially the taste of cheese, must have been the type of cheese they were using, the combination of cheeses or perhaps low quality cheese / flavourless.

Delicious! Their brisket is Texas-worthy and the fried chicken is our new go-to for when we get a craving. Look forward to many repeat orders.

Came here for Winterlicious with high expectations. The quality of the food was good, but the size of the portions were underwhelming for the price of the menu. The Caesar salad was nothing special, although the salmon main made up for it, full of interesting flavours and textures. The dessert again seemed like something I easily could have made at home. The food service was quite fast, we were in and out of the restaurant in less than an hour. The decor is stylish and sleek, with beautiful high ceilings. Overall, an enjoyable experience but I expected more for my money.

I've only tried the pulled pork mac and cheese, but wow it was honestly delicious! Ordered through Uber Eats, and it arrived hot and was a good portion size as well. Can't wait to try other menu items

Was looking for a good bbq experience to cheer me up after another round of Doug Ford’s asinine decisions, and this place DID NOT disappoint. I was skeptical after recently ordering from another bbq joint and receiving a few measly slices of brisket for close to the same price, but SWEET MOTHER OF GOD did they ever amaze me. Their pit platter kept me fed for 2 days straight with some of the best meats and sauces I’ve ever had. Will definitely order again soon and I encourage anyone and everyone craving good bbq to do the same!

I had the beef brisket with baked beans and Mac and cheese. Everything was really good. The best BBQ I've had since coming to Toronto. I ordered it on uber eats but can't wait to see how much better it is in person

Just ordered from you guys for my first time on UberEats.where have you been all my life! I have a new favourite BBQ place in Toronto. Reasonable prices, extremely generous portions, and everything was delicious. The Chophouse Bowl especially was life changing

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Love love love their BBQ. The brisket is so delicious. I love their fried chicken, it's perfection! Moist, favourful, crispy and did I mention no bones?

Absolutely a spot worth stopping over, the food is good and fresh, the rates are fair and it is constantly well kept in here. Fantastic work.

I was very impressed. The food was really good. We had a large group and they accommodated us no problem. Not many places carry my favourite beer so i was surprised to find they did. I was told the mixed drinks were a tad strong. So it depends on how you like them. I would definitely go back.

Oysters well prepared. But wouldn't open my favorite bottle of Prosecco if only took a glass and said have to buy bottle. I said no to Prosecco. Later they said I can have it. But the point is to have Prosecco before food arrives. This was never the case in the past. They made a mistake on bill on half price night. $35 more. But corrected it. Good meat selection but can't tell pre- cooked so price way too high. Oyster price deals on half price is not the best since regular price is $3.5 each. Place is clean and comfortable.

Over a visit to Toronto, had a friend's reunion here and the food was awesome! Great place for a group.night to remember

The atmosphere is great. Service fantastic. The food well it was wonderful. And the Brisket is out of this world.

Staff were very friendly. They made a mistake and served one of our meals to another group dining. They quickly rectified the situation and gave us a few free appetizers even after we insisted it wasn't an issue. They were incredibly apologetic. The food was above average but not great. Hence the 4 stars. We did enjoy their drink menu.

This place was ever so delicious! We went for the carbon bar experience and were NOT disappointed! The food was great and you got to try a bunch of new things (not to mention the normal food you got to eat which is way better than anything you will ever taste again). I honestly don't even like ribs or barbeque much and this was the best food I have ever had.

Great BBQ in the heart of the city. The decor is spectacular too playing on the old Electric Circus theme.

Tried the platter. Everything was delicious but the ribs stood out. Great BBQ in general but not necessarily memorable or distinct.

Unassuming from the outside but upscale space on the inside. Delicious appetizers, meals and desserts! The appetizers have different twists. The BBQ dishes are classic - best brisket I've had in Canada! The staff is friendly and accommodating. They will suggest orders for the size of your group.

Loud, noisy and obnoxious. How do you make a beautifully designed room feel ugly? Fill it with boorish staff and management, serving heaping plates of disdain, to make you feel like an unwelcome nuisance. Everything you don't want in an expensive downtown dining experience. A rude awakening.

Went there on a Friday night for a friends birthday. Ordered the duck tacos to start and the brisket for my main. Both were flavourless I even had to ask for salt and pepper to season the brisket, but even then there was no saving it. The brisket was dry and difficult to eat. I am not the kind of person to send food back or the type to be difficult, but the server was aware I had taken a bite out of my food and never asked how the food was. I decided to just leave it and not even bother because I was just ready to get out of there

Great as a bar. They have happy hour wine on weekdays 4-6 pm. The Korean Fried Cauliflower (KFC) is a must!

Great BBQ food with a very nice atmosphere, but it's not something super fantastic, and I guess it's a bit overrated.

I love this place for dinner but our first experience at today's brunch fell below expectation. Due to the team having a 'late start', half the menu offerings were unavailable. Ended up eating chicken & waffles.this dish could've been MUCH better but really was underwhelming. Also, why are chicken and waffles still on Toronto menus anyways? Server/service was decent. Manager was very friendly. Free coffee/tea due to the lack of options - that was nice but we'd still prefer a full menu. Place was not at all busy for a Toronto Sunday brunch. No reservations required at all.
I'm sticking to dinners only here.

Went there for birthday dinner for about 12 people and was extremely disappointed in the service. The service was slow and unfriendly. Kept having to wait for a server to come by to take drink orders, literally had to flag a server down. Even after we got the food no one came around to ask us how our meals were. I expect better service from a place that automatically charges 18% gratuity for larger groups. As for food.it was ok.

Good food, but pricy for what it is. Service was very good. Good atmosphere. Limited menu options. Wine and alcohol prices were a bit high.

We came for Sunday brunch for my partner's birthday and it was such a good decision! This was our second visit. We ended up sitting in the bar area which was very cool and got a lot of natural light compared to the rest of the restaurant and there were very few diners.

Service was great and the waitstaff was very friendly. The decor is very cool and I love the booths setup for seating. Only thing to note is that the bathrooms are near the front of the restaurant and that can be a bit of a pain when you're seated upstairs in the back.

Mimosas were a good choice and I enjoyed my chicken and waffles. Partner enjoyed his Huevos El Carbon even more. Food plates are plentiful so you won't leave hungry.

Having a husband in a wheelchair and going out to dinner can be a difficult challenge. Our friend made reservations at this restaurant for dinner. When we pulled up the first thing I noticed were the 5 stairs you need to take inside the restaurant. I was disappointed that we were going to need to find another place to eat. However, I was wrong. They were very accommodating and had a ramp that they brought out to put over the stairs. Bonus!
So onto the menu. Unfortunately, I myself, am on a very strict diet.a life style change. It's only been 2 weeks but I have been really strong in not cheating. The menu here did not have everything I needed. All I can eat is meat and veggies.no dairy, no sugar, etc. So the meat was all set but no steamed or grilled plain veggies. Not even a simple garden salad. So I was able to get my protein intake but had to go without my 2 cups of vegetables when I asked about it, the chef was not willing to accommodate.
The meat platter was decent but nothing special.
