The Chesterfield Shop

We have gone back to the Chesterfield Shop for many years. Last year we purchased a sofa with Maryam Azarani’s assistance. She was friendly and knowledgable. We chose to go back to the Kennedy Road location to order a coffee table to go with the sofa.
Once again we were very pleased with the service. We also like the fact that the furniture is Canadian made.

My parents always bought at the Chesterfield Shop. Then 20 years ago We bought a sectional at the Kennedy location. After babies, kids, pets, accidents, food spills and being the main couch in our home, it was time to move it to the basement. It still looks great but cushions are starting to sag. This couch has had all its covers cleaned in our washing machine dozen of times and the quality is still there. So when we decided to look for a new couch, we looked around our area first but could not find the size or quality that we wanted. So we drove back into the city and The Chesterfield Shop. We were met and greeted by Maryam Azarani. No pressure or following us around. She explained the current in-store promotion and quality of the Canadian made to order couches. She told us to let her know when we needed her help. We found our couch in 10 minutes! We changed our minds on fabric choices but Maryam never made us feel like we were wasting her time or rushing us. Her product knowledge was great and she made helpful suggestions which we took in the end. Great experience and I will
never go anywhere else when looking for a couch/chair. Excellent service from Maryam. Couch will be ready in 4-6 weeks compared to other places quoting us 10-14 weeks delivery!

Who knew purchasing a tasteful, non-bulky recliner could be so hard? After finding nothing but disappointment from the usual furniture stores, I happened to drive past the Chesterfield Shop and stopped in. So glad I did! Olga greeted me warmly and made sure I tried many chairs to find the one that was “just right” for my wonky back. On top of her obvious expertise, she was so pleasant and friendly. I cannot say enough about what a breath of fresh air she was after visiting so many stores where the goal was only to make a sale. Olga made sure that the fit and comfort of the chair was the goal…then the sale made itself. Thank you Olga for providing me with many years of comfort to come in my wonderful new chair!

My parents have bought their sofas from this store for the last 25 years and when I came to purchase my first home this is where I knew it had to be from. Olga was great! She explained how every sofa and chair is built to order and made only in Canada. Olga was patient showing us so many styles of sofas and chairs. She was very knowledgable and she was able to guide through the selection process, making some great suggestions and answering any questions I had without being overly pushy just to get the sale. Amazing customer service. We had a great experience at this store from the moment we stepped in. Our sales rep, Maryam was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and helpful throughout the process. She explained the features of each sofa bed we looked at and discussed the differences amongst various models and made recommendations based on our needs. A friend had referred us to Chesterfield due to their amazing customer service and we were not disappointed. Their collection of furniture is also top notch. Lots of choices. Plus you can customize the furniture based on personal preference. Overall very satisfied.

The Chesterfield Shop is a hidden gem. I would argue that they are the best furniture shop in all of Ontario. They carry an extensive selection of all types of seating. Most importantly, their pieces contain the highest quality of leather and are Canadian made. I had purchased a leather couch there 5 years ago and it is still in mint condition.
I have recently moved and needed to purchase couches for my living room and basement. It was a pleasure to have worked with Olga today. She was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I told her exactly what I was looking for, in terms of style and comfort, and she showed me a variety of options to choose from. I walked out with a great deal (their NO TAX event started today!) Olga helped me to find the perfect Sofa set, recliner and even some artwork and cushions to compliment the look and feel that I was retying to create for my new space. Olga is more than a Seating Specialist. She has an amazing eye for design that I have never seen in a sales associate before! If you are looking to furnish your home with high-quality seating and décor, I HIGHLY recommend that you go down to the Chesterfield Shop and see Olga. She made my shopping experience fun, efficient and effortless.

I was very happy with Maryam Azarani, Senior Design Consultant at The Chesterfield Shop's Kennedy/Scarborough location. Having tried six other competing sofa stores, this one was the best for me for selection, shopping experience, and customer service. Maryam was pretty much perfect during my three visits. I highly recommend her; and the Shop as your only stop.

RUN the other way! Would never, ever order from that place again! Long wait time, no ownership of service breakdown, error nor inconvenience. Condescending manner when “addressing” (avoiding) problem. No ability to get a refund. Zero recourse and salesperson Maryam was zero help. Terrible experience and poor customer service.

Olga was exceptional! She took the time to answer all our questions, helped us.with design ideas and was professional throughout. We are very happy to have worked with her!

We got a sofa bed here and what we received was exactly as we ordered. Maryam was the one that assisted us, toured us with all the sofa options we have to match the limited space we have at home. They gave us so much fabric options too which was super! But we ended up with what was on display. And it’s perfect. Quality is great and even the mattress it comes with is great.

After receiving numerous recommendations for the Canadian made sofa beds from the Chesterfield Shop, and their level of comfort, quality and longevity, we recently visited the Kennedy Road location to purchase a roll-away sofa bed and the experience was wonderful. Our sales associate, Natasha was a pleasure to work with, she met with my partner and myself both individually to go over the options and details available to us, and we visited again together to make a decision. Natasha did not use pressure tactics during her sale, she was honest and unbiased in the information she gave us in order for us to make an informed decision that felt best for our situation and investment. The whole process was enjoyable and we are very much looking forward to the new sofa for our renovated basement.

This is the 3rd time that we order furniture at The Chesterfield Shop (Scarborough) and we were very pleased once again with the variety and superb quality of the furniture. We went to the Chesterfield Shop on Kennedy Road after looking at several other furniture stores. We were immediately welcomed by Maryam who spent a lot of time with us. We were impressed by the variety and the quality of the furniture and ordered a beautiful leather recliner.

My partner and I purchased an excellent queen size sofa bed and living room couch set at the Kennedy location from Olga Coish. The process was seamless and enjoyable, Olga walked us through all our options providing excellent professional suggestions and reading our different tastes very well. She even arranged delivery from the Winnipeg manufacturer directly to our new home outside of Ontario. I'd highly recommend the Chesterfield Shop, and Olga in particular!

Had a great experience at The Chesterfield Shop. My wife and I had been looking for a nice sectional couch for a while. It's been pretty difficult to find one since our living room is a bit small. And a few that we did find at other stores were almost double what we paid at Chesterfield. Olga really hoped us find the perfect sectional. I had no idea they could customize these couches so much (most other stores just have the one layout and different colour fabrics. You could literally change everything on this couch!) She basically designed it perfectly for our space and to match the paint colour etc. We are more than happy with the service and quality. Will definitely return in the future.

The only place we go. We bought our past two sofas there, so after 11 years, when it was time to replace the last one, we went right back rather than futzing around looking at other places. The Manager (Ted) was able to direct us directly to a selection that would suit and fit us (we're short), and within 20 minutes, we had a sofa on order - style, size, and fabric exactly as we wanted.

Natasha Davis was incredible with helping us with our needs. She made the process painless and quick. She was wonderful to deal with and was the first store able to get us what we were looking for.

The servive was great. The store manager walked us through all of the different models, colors and fabrics to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.

First time I came to this place I was greeted by Maryam. She had a sunny disposition with tones of positive energy. It felt like I knew her all my life. She showed my around and everything looked so good. I could not believe how I have never heard of this place and the products. Unfortunately I had forgotten to bring my purse with since I had no plan of any shopping that day. My next visit to purchase a sofa, I was greeted by Olga. She was yet another amazing person. She helped me choose the fabric for my new sofa, gave me some great tips and made me feel so special. These people are great. I will be receiving my sofa in few weeks and I will sure write a review about the quality and comfort of the sofa once I actually sit on it for a whole episode of Grays Anatomy. Wait for it.

I tried every store that I could think of looking for a sofa bed that I liked and would suit the space I had planned for it. The store on Kennedy had one that was totally appropriate. Olga Coish was the salesperson that helped me and I found her to be a total delight. She was knowledgeable, willing to suggest all kinds of options that I hadn't thought of and fun to work with. Next time I'm looking for a piece of furniture I will go straight there.

Terrible experience shopping here. My husband and I are very glad we didn’t purchase anything. One of the workers made a mistake on the price which is fine but then after finalizing the deal knowing we went over our budget they changed the price on us again claiming it was another mistake and telling us to finance the rest. Then after speaking to the store manager who didn’t care to listen to me basically told me there is nothing he can do. From the beginning they never went down on the price not even as much as $10 instead they just kept raising the price on us. Also I was told in the beginning the couches are real Canadian leather made in Canada then when finalizing the deal they said only the seats are leather, the back and sides are not and that it is made in Mexico. In the end they went down $100 after raising the price $500 but my husband and I were too upset in the way they handled things it wasn’t professional at all. Very bad service they didn’t care to make a sale or help us after their mistake. My husband and I are very upset we were looking forward to those couches and all they did was get our hopes up. I would highly recommend getting your furniture elsewhere. These people are scams and do not care about their customers.

After going up and down Kennedy and encountering varying degrees of quality and helpfulness at other stores, it was refreshing to experience top notch customer service (thank you Olga!) and high quality furniture. I had the best experience at Chesterfield Kennedy compared to any furniture store that I have ever shopped at. The customer service here is top notch! I had to cancel a customized sectional couch order and was willing to take the loss for it ($900 deposit). I had to cancel because of Covid-19 and the loss of my job. I had to find ways to reduce my budget right away and would not be able to pay for the rest of the couch on arrival. The staff at chesterfield were so helpful and understanding that they offered back the deposit on a future purchase which was outstanding which I did not expect! Thank you Chesterfield for a great and accommodating experience!

I purchased our couch here back in the spring of 2019 and had a great experience. The sales staff are pleasant and never pushy. When the representative gave my wife and I a timeline for arrival of our custom sofa it came on time and was delivered efficiently. The movers even looked after getting rid of our old couch as well. If you are looking for a quality product that is made in Canada The Chesterfield Shop is the place to go. Would definitely recommend and if future requirements arise we will surely be back!

We've purchased here before and sent my parent's there and friends. Very high quality, excellent sales staff (thank you Olga) and quality and customizable seating. Aside from fabric upgrades, everything else can be customized without additional cost. You get what you pay for. This isn't cheap disposable furniture. I highly recommend.

This was all done hassel free and with no extra charge. Not what you would expect from some of the competitors.

Great Canadian made furniture for a living room such as sofas, recliners, armchair, etc. I love choice of rugs, wall art and accent table there. The best space for great quality leather furniture. Customer service is very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Brought my elderly mother there about 4 years ago. She bought a 3 seat sofa here. When they delivered it, it wouldn't fit into her apartment door and they had to take the armrest off, and replace it. Amazing service! And at the store, they were very patient with her indecisiveness.
She has had the sofa for 4 years and it is still just like new after every day use! Exellent quality! I fully recommend buying furniture here.
