Shopping for two loveseats and two recliners with the help of Sharon Koufes at The Chesterfield Shop in Newmarket has been stellar. Sharon was very helpful in our challenge of choosing recliners for two people that differ in height by one foot! Her customer service has been excellent so far. We look forward to receiving our new products soon!

I recently bought 2 couches, a chaise and swivel chair from The Chesterfield Shop in Newmarket. We’re doing major renovations and are replacing most of our furniture.my daughter and I were extremely impressed with the amazing service that we received. Avery and Karen were very knowledgeable. We spent nearly 2 hours picking out the fabric for the couches and chair and did not feel rushed at all. We had samples of the kitchen cabinets, flooring and paint colours. It was quite the spectacle. We were even encouraged to take the fabric swatches outside to see how it looks in natural light. We received great service today from Jane and we feel really confident about our choice of sofa. She asked us questions about our living space, how we were using the space, budget etc.and offered is several options and came up with the sofa style in a fabric (that we hadn’t thought of but now we think is brilliant!). We had a very small and difficult space to fill and thought we would take a look on the holidays. Alex was so incredibly helpful and worked with us over a couple of days to help us make the right decision. She showed us options that would work, those that were on the smaller scale and talked to us about the right choice for fabric. Today was the worst day ever, delivery people were so rude. Damaged my wall. Couch delivered is defective lots of gaps poor workmanship. One side of the couch has a dip. Was given wrong information by sales associate and manager lied colour is off and couch has a mark on it. Misled want my money back reporting this company to the better business bureau. Give me my money back. Don’t lie to customers

Went in a few times looking at couches. Both times we delt with Sharon, she was great, took the time to answer any questions, showed a few couches the first time, but we like to go back another day when looking as to retry the feel of each couch. We went back, but found 2 others that we liked and bought one. She was never pushy, i highly recommed her if your at the newmarket store. We ending up buying from her in the end, as we were looking at a few differant stores, but the chesterfield shop had almost exactly what we wanted. We have been looking for years for the right couch!

Just bought a sectional and sofa from Sharon K. Took some time and multiple visits to the store but everyone was great. Even the sales reps that didn't make the initial sale were helpful as we changed the configuration and model. Delivery times are long but understand it's an industry-wide challenge right now. We bought a new sofa from the Chesterfield Shop in New Market in August 2021. Most furniture takes a bit longer to get right now. We got the best news this week just days before Christmas our sofa would be here earlier than expected! The delivery team were the best I have ever had! The sofa is beautiful! Thank you Chesterfield Shop. Best Christmas present!

We placed a special order for a cloth upholstered chair, in early Sept, with an expected delivery date of 8 to 12 weeks. Over the course of the 3rd week of November, we tried to get an update on where the order was. We finally heard back from someone at H. O.via an email, that it was delayed until at least end of March next year, no guarantees for even then. It would only have been good service, to have received an update before that time, of where things stood.
We then went directly to the Newmarket store, where we placed the original order. And it was there, that the Mgr, Robert, came up with a mutually acceptable solution. Thank you to Robert for the prompt and professional service. 40 Years ago we purchased our first couch through Chesterfield Shop - we will continue to use you in future.

Love our new sofa bed for our guest room. Store experience was great, delivery was on time, sofa was set up and garbage removed. We were even given a complimentary bag of candies as a ‘thank you’!

We recently moved into a new condo in Barrie and wanted new living room furniture as our old leather furniture was over 20 years old and survived our 3 boys and dog over that time. Having checked out many companies on the Internet I went back to a company that I knew. Emailed the Chesterfield Shop with my wants and received a response quickly from Ryan at the Newmarket store. We talked and texted over a couple of days and he gave us a few options to choose from and we picked a new sofa and love seat. They were delivered, set up and all packing materials removed within a week! We are very happy with everything that transpired, the quality is excellent, Ryan’s customer service was fantastic, he’s friendly and personable. It’s too bad everything had to be done remotely. We hope to go into the store and meet Ryan personally once the lockdown is over.

I would highly recommend the Chesterfield Shop to anyone. From the time we walked through the door, the service was exceptional. Sharon, our consultant, was very knowledgeable, personable and showed us all our options. She spent 2 hours with us going over various styles of couches, mix and matching couches, fabrics and coordinating colours. My daughter and her husband also bought their couch from Sharon and insisted we buy from there. We were not disappointed. She deserves a raise!
Great customer service.

I ordered my sectional back in November 2020 with a lead time of 23 weeks. We are now into June and I am still waiting. I understand that COVID has caused delays in manufacturing, but I really do wish there was better communication. It wasn't until I inquired in March about my order that I was told delivery had been pushed to July. There was no attempt to contact me to inform that my order had been delayed for another 8 weeks and requests are met with canned answers. I'm weary to check again to see if my estimated delivery is still July or if it is yet again delayed.

I hope to update with a better review if I ever receive the product. But at this point I'm kicking myself for not going with La Z Boy.

We have been waiting 6 months for our new sofa, when we were originally told lead time would be 3.

This is the second sofa we have ordered from The Chesterfield Shop and have raved about their quality and great customer service in the past but this will be the last time we order anything from them.

We understand that there are restrictions in place that are causing delays but no one has ever reached out to us to notify us of further delays or updates on our order.

This process has been disappointing to say the least and is especially frustrating when we could have ordered something from any one of their competitors and had our sofa by now.

The showroom at the Newmarket store has a tremendous variety of products making it very easy to choose whatever type of furniture you are looking for. I was met at the door by Ryan; an extremely patient, knowledgeable and helpful salesperson. After explaining what I needed and when I needed it he pointed me in the right direction, explained the quality of the products and even helped with the choice of fabrics. This was a 5 star plus experience!

Nice store, the staff were very friendly and helpful, a bit on the high end range, so a bit out of my price range. They had a large selection, and a verify of colours for each item. If you are looking for higher end pieces, I recommend checking this store.

This store is fantastic! This is our third couch/entertainment sectional purchase - Ryan, our salesman, was patient, calm, knowledgeable and very helpful with finding us the perfect couch. The quality is second to none! Our 10 year old couch still looks new - high quality foam and leather, well worth the money. You will have the pieces for a very long time! Wears well and good warranty. Variety of styles/ colours/ leathers/ fabrics.custom configurations are fantastic. Highly recommend spending on a few great pieces for life.

After an awful day of searching for the perfect couches we stumbled upon the chesterfield shop. What a refreshing change! So many beautiful pieces to choose from. We walked into the Chesterfield Shop and were quickly greeted by Sharon. She spent a couple of hours with us, showing us different sets and helping us to select a reclining sofa and loveseat that is comfortable for both me and my husband. She was very knowledgeable and patient with us. Sharon spent additional time with us on a follow up visit helping us to select the colour of leather to complement our decor. We were impressed that the product is Canadian made and comes with a significant warranty. We look forward to our purchase being delivered in 8 - 10 weeks and will add to our review at that time.

Myself and my husband were looking for months for a good quality, modern style set of a leather recliner sofa and a love seat. We checked all the big stores (Lazy Boy, the Brick, Leon"s, Ashley.) and we couldn't find anything we liked. One of my friends suggested The Chesterfield Shop because she is enjoying very much her elegant leather sofa for the last 16 years she purchased at this store. We went to the Newmarket location and we met Sharon, our very patient and very professional saleslady. She spent lots of time with us answering my many questions and showing us all the possibilities. We also met Rob, the manager and Victor who are also very customer oriented. We were very impressed by being helped by such a nice team with no pressure of buying. Yesterday we ended up buying a wonderful all leather top grain reclining sofa and love seat, very proudly made in Canada. Also very happy with Jim from the Head Office who approved a 3 months lower price match (in case they will go on sale for Thanksgiving)
Overall very happy with the store, selection of furniture and staff. They all deserve the 5 star review. Cannot wait to have the couches delivered in 8-10 weeks and at that time I will write another review.

So many options. Victor was our sales Rep and very knowledgeable. Some couches are almost fully customizable which is a great bonus. Prices will reflect all the options available and the quality.

Dont waste you anxiety, you will be disappointed. Newmarket store was pleasant and helpful. Showed us fabric that would get us 4 weeks delivery even during CoVid. That's why we purchased here versus The Brick at 1/2 the price. During 6th week, Tuesday, ask for status. Promised on truck that same Tuesday or latest Wednesday. Late Wednesday night received email stating probably 2 weeks more. I understand CoVid situation but it was promised inspite of that. I will Never Deal with them again. Look at all past complaints regarding delivery and date promised. Nope. Dont do it.

I've personally used this place for my own couch and it's great quality. They aren't the cheapest place but the quality and customer service is way better than other big box stores.

Our experience shopping was excellent. The selection is fantastic and any questions were quickly answered by Bob (both in store and on the phone after our purchase). After selecting colour and material, our sofa was ready for delivery in a reasonable amount of time given what everyone is dealing with right now.
Once delivered and unwrapped, unfortunately a very obvious two inch white mark was found on the front of our dark blue sofa. One call to Marina, in Service, and she looked after every detail. We did as she requested and sent pictures. In a short amount of time, she called back to apologize on behalf of the company and verified that we would be available for their truck to come 3 days later and take the sofa back so they could replace the material.
Erin ensured the efficient pick up on the date stated and the gentlemen who took the sofa were prompt and courteous.
Honestly, mistakes happen. In the end it's all about the service. Thanks to all the employees mentioned, The Chesterfield Shop is unparalleled.

Went in and bought a sofa, originally all seemed good, didn't have the Grey Colour I wanted so I decided to go with the brown that was in stock. Was told I could get next day delivery (very important and why I decided to buy in the first place) which they did not deliver on and left me waiting most of the day for the sofa. Then told me it will be 6 weeks as the brown was out of stock. They managed to get me the Grey (originally out of stock?) and delivered within two days and management was very helpful in rectifying it, free delivery and they the delivery went very smooth. I would mention that I went in between the purchase and delivery to ask some questions and to get dimensions of the sofa and found the staff rude and unhelpful. Most of them were lounging on the sofas and didn't bother to get up. They had little knowledge and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing them by asking 2 or 3 questions. Now I find out that the financing that I got from them was not what was explained to me and that does not impress me very much. I am disappointed and would not go back to them again as it has been an ordeal from start to finish. Don't bother with the employees, the manager seems to be the only helpful person in the store.

I have order sofa from them and it's been 8 weeks I'm have my own business the way they handle their customer it's so unprofdeaional. I just called today I think her name is Aaron, she was so rude and not helpful I will make sure tell all my customer don't buy anything from them
