Some of the most attentive service I've had, not only at a furniture store, but any store. We were given a detailed overview of multiple sofas by Leela (who we can't recommend enough). We went and checked out several pieces at their brick and mortar store and everything was very high quality and comfortable. The prices were higher than average (think the Brick, Leon's, Ikea, etc) but extremely competitive for the quality (much better than the aforementioned chain outlets).

We ended up going with a piece from another store due to price and size and a tight delivery timeframe. I hope I don't regret it.but have a feeling I might.

Anyways, if you need a Chesterfield. This store has its name on it.

Vanessa and her team were fantastic to deal with from the moment we walked in. Vanessa was amazing! We saw the perfect sofa bed at their Dufferin location, and luckily took the item # & a photo of it. We live right behind the Yonge Street location so we thought we could just walk the item through the back door & into our living room…. But we placed the order (Husband sat in a recliner that was marked down & HAD TO HAVE IT) So we ordered BOTH items & the following day (9: 05AM) they were both delivered, unpacked, cardboard taken away & my husband is a happy camper! The store has a surprisingly large amount of stock. BUT it was the sales rep, Latifa, who made the experience at the Chesterfield Shop stand out to us! Latifa was extremely knowledgeable, patient and fun! When we decided we needed more time to think about the purchase, she was extremely kind and gracious with an extra dose of NO PRESSURE! I would highly recommend a visit to the Chesterfield Shop to work with Latifa when looking for a sleeper sofa!

The service from Vanessa at the Chesterfield shop mid-town was fabulous. We happened upon the store while en route to a competitor's store in the area, and are so glad that we did. We immediately felt comfortable with Vanessa (unlike we felt in the competitor's store). She listened to our needs, gave us some great suggestions, and provided a number of options that were within our budget. Vanessa's level of service and her professionalism are really what sold us. The couch arrived in less than a week and we couldn't be happier. Quality is great and our first overnight guest who slept on in said it was SO comfortable. Highly recommended.

I was fortunate to have met Vanessa as she help me understand what type of new furniture was best for my house. In the end I bought two couches and four chairs from her! She was very patient with all my questions and made some great design suggestions. I came away from the experience a very happy customer and I highly recommend Vanessa. As with many other reviewers, my wife and I agree that the store manager Vanessa was the best part of working with TCS.

We had run into a few different issues with a previous purchase and found ourselves very frustrated and at wit's end. We assumed we were out of luck and essentially stuck with an incorrect product.

Vanessa managed to help where nobody else could or would, both professionally and proactively. Even when I was frustrated and not the most polite, she went to work on my behalf. Despite the fact that we'll be waiting another few months for our actual intended purchase, we're elated that it's being corrected.

It was a great reminder why working with a small local business is the way to go. Shipping times, delays, mistakes, etc, are going to happen with any company, but the service from people like Vanessa is what makes the difference.

I appreciated hearing from the supervisor today. He removed the delivery fee and contacted the manufacturer to see if they could speed up. Hopefully I’ll have a new couch before March.

I would have also liked an apology from the sales rep for the way she treated to me but this will do.

I am so fed up with this store. I am very very sick and housebound and bought an extremely expensive couch in August for my recovery. I assumed it would take 6-8 weeks, but after I paid I found out it would be 4 months and that was upsetting, but assured I’d get it by Christmas. I didn’t.

In the fall, I received an email saying there was a delay and now I’d have to wait 10 months for the couch.

I was made to feel bad when I voiced my disappointment and how I felt taken advantage of.

If you need it within any reasonable amount of time look elsewhere.

I am so disappointed and want the couch I’ve paid for.

I went in looking for a new couch and dealt with Latifa. The experience was great! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. She made great recommendations and never did I feel like I was being pounced on to make a sale. I felt comfortable shopping here and will be buying other furniture from here in the future. Amal was very helpful in finding us a couch that would meet our particular needs. Found the style and size we needed. Also had good fabric options.

I ordered a sectional back in December and had a great experience. Amal was very professional and helpful along the way. I took the measurements of my room to create a rough drawing, and she was able to clean it up and model it out into a diagram. She came back with a few suggested layouts as well as other furniture and colour ideas to complete the room. Amal actually talked me out of buying a larger version of the same sectional to ensure a better fit within the space. I highly recommended this place.

Allison at 2045 Yonge St Chesterfield Shop was amazing. I went into the store looking for a new sofa for my new apartment with no direction and Allison helped me in every way possible. She took into the account the little details of my living space and put together some amazing options for me. Details like the specific fabric, color, and measurements to help me find the perfect sofa. The sofa arrived not too long ago and I am more than satisfied. It fits my living space perfectly and fits the overall aesthetic I was going for. If you ever need help, she’s the one you should go to! 10/10 service and would buy here again!

My wife and I went to The Chesterfield Shop on Yonge St on Saturday and ended up purchasing a hide-a-bed sofa and two swivel chairs. We were superbly assisted in the store by Vanessa Guerrero who was extremely helpful, most courteous, endlessly patient and totally professional. We will not hesitate to seek out Vanessa when we return to the Shop in the future.

This is a review of two locations: 2045 Yonge and 4900 Dufferin. We first visited the Yonge St location in February 2022 to order a sleeper sofa and a "chair 1/2". Unfortunately, over the course of the next few weeks, problems surfaced: first with the sofa - the arms were not removable - which was a requirement in order to fit up tight staircase corners - even though we had been assured was the case. Next, a problem with the "chair 1/2" - the selected fabric was no longer available. Even after returning to the Yonge Street location to find alternate furniture, we selected a replacement only to be told that the fabric wasn't available or the arms weren't removable after "checking the system/inventory/etc. "

Due to our experience with the Yonge St salesperson, we decided to visit the Dufferin location and found it to be a vast improvement. Jordan introduced himself when we arrived and made himself available again after we had viewed some of the sofas. As we knew exactly what our constraints were, and the style we were looking for, Jordan was able to direct us accordingly and the entire purchase took less than an hour to process. He quickly provided us with the necessary measurements, answered our questions, offered his opinion when we sought it out, and honoured the original discount on our purchase and deposit from the previous month.

While the experience at the Yonge Street location was less than optimal (and we were ready to shop elsewhere), we are glad we gave the Dufferin location a try as it was a vast improvement in terms of the floor selection and the very knowledgeable staff as represented by Jordan.

Will update this review once we receive the order; timeframe for delivery is 12-14 weeks which is on the shorter end of estimates we received from other shops like West Elm, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware.

We live in condo and so were looking for a city size sofa with the right comfort and price. Chesterfield came at the perfect sweet spot but the only reason we felt comfortable is due to Amal who works at Yonge and Eglinton. She made us feel at home, showed all the options, answered our queries and even stayed back late twice (after store hours) as my mother had to see the sofa. We have just placed the order and now waiting but its about the exceptional service we got from Amal at Chesterfield Yonge and Eglinton shop.

I had the pleasure of working with Amal. Not only was she attentive to our needs, she was also very creative in her suggestions ensuring we were making the best possible decision for our new couch. She went above and beyond the call of duty and we are very appreciative for her support!

It was my first time in this store which was referred by a close friend. I loved Allison's knowledge about the products with comparisons and in detail. Recently I visited the Chesterfield Shop at 2045 Yonge Street.
I had a great experience with Allison. She was very patient and was able to answer all my questions: she demonstrated extensive knowledge of the furniture and provided excellent customer service. Allison had an understanding that the purchase of a product is a process and that the client dictates the final decision.
Allison’s friendly manner, excellent listening skills and her sincere professionalism is what stood out for me. I purchased a sofa, paid my deposit but unfortunately the sofa would not fit through our stairway.
There was no sales pressure to purchase another sofa. She simply returned my deposit. Allison is amazing. Highly recommend!

The selection and prices are fantastic. Randy helped us choose a sofa. He really knew his stuff and was incredibly helpful. He listened to what we were looking for and recommended great options. He worked with us to help find something that would work for us. Everything is customizable as well. There are tons of fabric choices. The arm widths can be adjusted and the feet colours as well. Great Experience.

Our experience at the Chesterfield shop was fantastic. Shermin Khalili showed us several couches that met our requirements. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the products and helped to guide to exactly what we wanted. The pricing and delivery options were well explained. She made herself available to us while we decided over a few days, and once decided, she finished our order quickly. We are glad that Shermin took care of us, she provided top notch service at The Chesterfield Shop.

We recently bought a great sofa bed from Chesterfield Shop.
The sales representative Amal found what we wanted right away. Unfortunately, stock issues and back end logistic systems errors went in the ways of a totally smooth experience. But thanks to the personalized support from Amal and understanding of Jim, we ended up finding solutions and getting a great sofa bed on time for the in-laws to sleep for the holidays.

So far, so great! I purchased a section sofa and ottoman last week and Shermin's service was outstanding. Her product knowledge and customer service skills are excellent and she was very efficient. I'm going back this week to shop for a chair.with Shermin of course! Can't wait for our furniture to arrive in 12 weeks!

I did not have a good experience at all with the Chesterfield shop in North York. It was awful. Didn’t get what I wanted. I had to negotiate with what I was offered under pressure. Never again! Maximize the photo and you will see what I mean.

Really a sofa bed!? It goes to show how you are not aware of all the details. It is a sofa not a sofa bed. I’m honoured that you stand by your expertise team of the sofa fabric feedback instead of the client’s satisfaction and without you even personally seeing the sofa? I’m ok and I accepted. Life goes on. It is not perfect to my eyes but at least comfortable. All best.

Amal at the Yonge & Davisville location is very knowledgable and professional. She patiently went over the various options for the space and outlined the different aspects to consider.

Vanessa was very patient with us. We had so many questions and she was very gracious all along. It was a very nice experience. Let’s hope the delivery will be as smooth (wasn’t last time we bought a couch there, 10 years ago) and the 5 stars will be well deserved. We highly recommend the store in midtown.

I purchased a condo size swivel rocker arm chair. Originally it was going to take 15-20 weeks for delivery due to the pandemic. I received it 3 weeks after purchase. Amal from the Yonge and Davisville store was very professional and knowledgeable. I love love my new chair it's extremely comfortable and looks perfect on my new apartment. I would definitely buy from the Chesterfield shop again.

Gary was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely patient, answering our list of questions. Yesterday, my partner and I bought a couch and recliner from the Yonge Street branch of the The Chesterfield Shop—after being greatly and gratefully helped by Devra Wasser. She's an amazing salesperson!

Devra listened. She listened to our description of the space, and she listened to what we were looking for from a functional point of view.

She showed us products that would work for us—and The Chesterfield Shop had a lot of great options! She suggested alternative configurations and solutions when something wasn’t quite right. She offered well-thought-out and much appreciated advice about colours of fabrics that would complement one another. And she was so patient!

We are so glad that we walked through The Chesterfield Shop's front door and so glad that Devra was there to greet us. We can't wait until our new furniture arrives! And, we'll definitely be back when it's time for our next purchase.
