Absolutely love this place! Great price for being able to paint without a time limit! They also fire the ceramics for you afterwards and are so happy to help you out if you are stuck or need help with a simple colour theme haha

Definitely kid friendly, I would've loved to come here as a kid or bring my nephew's!

You can also leave your ceramics and come back to continue painting if you run out of time, although I don't know the specifics of this, it is something that they do offer!

Sad to see how you try to take importance of the opinions instead of analyze them and taking care.

Love coming here! Been a bunch of times. Such a fun activity and the staff are always really friendly. Spoke to Nicole on the phone and she was super helpful in ensuring my items were still there after a late pickup. Definitely recommend!

Staff here were super knowledgeable and helpful. There are lots of items to paint and you can usually walk in and get a spot.

I rarely leave reviews, but after a few months since my experience at The Clay Room, I still am quite unhappy with my experience and would like to share.
I went with a group from work for an event. We had a lot of fun all of us, painting our pieces and enjoying an event together. The workers there were fabulous, they seemed really busy, but they were wonderful.
The owner was there to explain to us how to do ceramics for anyone who hadn't done them before. She badmouthed her employees while doing so, and in my opinion was condescending with her tone while explaining the process to our group. But, maybe she was tired and I misread the tone.
When time to pay, she was nowhere to be found, however her two employees were there, completely frazzled with about 50 people inside the store which I assume had some type of fire safety concern involved, but I digress. They did their absolute best, they got the customers all set and focused on our bill for our group. It took a while, but they did get it and explained to us how it worked so we weren't confused.
Im not too sure how these were fired in the kiln but many items had debris under the coating and missing spots of coating.
Considering the cost at Clay Room, the strict and inconvenient rules about when to come back and complete the piece, and the amount of times two, young, staff members were negatively spoken about to customers, I really wasn't impressed. Other ceramic places in the city are much more accessible, friendly and considerate of their customers.
Today when washing my dish and it breaking in my hands, this was the last straw for me. I have been doing ceramics since I was a young child. I have never had a piece chip away and break this way. I guess these pieces are for looking at only, not using. I had assumed a pet dish would be okay to use if I was hand washing it.
I would have left a 1 star review, but the two employees who were absolutely overworked and wonderful, are the only reason I added the second star. I suggest training your employees to your standard before you leave them alone to deal with a very busy day, and I highly suggest you stop bad mouthing them to your customers. It's awkward for the customers to be involved in this.

I had an amazing time at this place! They provide a variety of ceramics that you can paint yourself, allowing for a unique and personalized experience. It was such a delightful way to spend my time there. Whether you're with friends or on a fun date, it's the perfect destination to unleash your creativity and create wonderful memories.

Loved this so much! Amazing experience and suitable for everyone. You can pick an item from the wall (bowls, mugs, dishes etc), and they provide paints and brushes. Take your time painting it. You're welcome to come back within 30 days if you need more time to finish it. Prices are fair! You pay for the item you pick (mugs ~10-16, bowls ~14-20) + a studio fee that covers time in the studio, all materials, and firing the item for the final look. My friend spent ~30 in total for a mug, and I spent ~40 for a big bowl. Very therapeutic and fun experience. The staff is amazing and very helpful!

I booked a small birthday party at the Clay Room last weekend and it was fantastic!

My friends and I had such a good time, and the person working was so lovely. We came a bit early and she was lovely enough to let us in to set up and answered all our questions (including letting us know we could pair our phone to the speaker to play music - which was amazing because we forgot our own speaker!) She was super attentive, and promptly repeated instructions to a few people who came late before I even had to ask.

All my friends thought it was such a great birthday party idea and we all had a wonderful time. I’ll definitely be booking for my next birthday too!

We came here for our daughter's 15th birthday (opted for 3-hour adult party although the owner kindly offered us children's rate also. We preferred having more time and selection). Our instructor Nicole was amazing. She was very friendly and guided us through the painting process as well as offering us additional paints and tools for various techniques. She also made herself available for all our questions - and the girls had a lot! We had a fantastic time and three hours flew by. It does take time to do a good job, so most of us were only able to complete one item, although they let you come back for free to continue if you aren't able to finish in time.

Just picked up our creations and the glaze and firing make the final product look so finished and unique! This is such a fun place and concept - I can see why it is so popular. Highly recommended.

Loved this activity. The staff are super friendly and helpful too. They have a range of stencils and moulds for you to guide your painting. You can ask them to show different kind of brushing techniques too. I would go back for one of the staff with the stunning androgynous look they complimented the whole setting so well. Throughly enjoyed my Sunday morning. A very good quality activity if you want to bring your kids (child or adult, both will love it). Good exercise to train the brain with focus, patience, diligence and accepting mistakes. Hope to visit again soon.

Staff are friendly and the pottery is well made, but it is expensive and can get pretty packed. I wouldn't say it was a relaxing experience but it was really nice to do once if you're in the area.

Good collection of ceramics, colors and they also shared helpful tips. Came here for a company event.

My partner and I had a payment hiccup - the owner then proceeded to berate us in front of other patrons about the status of our bank account. Thankfully, we were able to complete our purchase without any hiccup shortly after arriving home from our visit.

The pieces we got to paint were awesome and the supporting staff is great, but given the unprofessionalism and sheer aggressiveness of the owner in a world where payment issues do happen - I won't be back.

So much fun. The kids had a blast. The lady running the spot was so helpful. She ran us through all the options and gave us an orientation on how to paint our pieces.
Lots of supplies and each group.had their own paints, brushes, sponges etc.

Super fun place to go as a couple or with family! You essentially pay for studio time and the piece you choose to paint. There are different colors of paint and so many kinds of items to choose from: large, small, medium sized.

Make sure to paint 3 coats and let dry in between (they have hair dryers you can use). Once finished, put your creation on a tray and let the staff bake it for you! They will keep it for about 45 days, so no huge rush to pick the item up.

Really fun experience and I had the best time! Felt like I was in art class again!
