Awful experience! I cannot believe this kind of stores exists in Canada. The stuff is extremely rude. Don’t trust them. I would not recommend this store!

Great team. Awsome service. Been going here for 5 years for all my pvc and composite materials.

I needed to completely redesign and replace my backyard experience. I went from a 30 year old deck to a complete spa retreat that I have been able to enjoy year round. Megan and Shane accommodated my project at all stages for changes in my landscaping and concrete subprojects.results were exactly what I wanted and continue to enjoy.

The yard staff are exceptional. Easy to deal with.
The office staff- not so much. Run around on the phone. Looked irritated when we walked in. Never smile.

WE HIRED THE OAKVILLE DECK STORE TO REPLACE THE WOOD RAILING ON OUR 6 YEAR OLD DECK STORE BUILT COMPOSITE DECK. WE HAD VERY SPECIFIC CUSTOMIZED REQUIREMENTS. ALL OF THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT WERE PROFESSIONAL, PATIENT AND RESPONSIVE TO OUR QUESTIONS, CONCERNS AND PICKINESS! I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS COMPANY'S SERVICE AND CUSTOMER CENTRED APPROACH TO BUSINESS. THE COMPANY PRESIDENT, STAN WEILAND, CLEARLY SETS THE STANDARD FOR HIS EMPLOYEES AND WALKS THE WALK. KUDOS TO KAREN, MIKE, YVONNE, MARC AND SHANE.

Over the past few months we have been working with The Deck Store in Oakville for our deck project and I cannot stress how much easier they have made the experience. We worked with Jessica who has really been patient and very informative, which has helped us figure out the best products for our deck project. We originally looked at Trex, and Timbertech but every time we wanted to buy it was sold out at other locations. We decided to try visiting The Deck Store and our dream project was one step closer. We told them about our issues which was common during Covid but they recommended another composite board that we really liked for the fact they were solid boards, capped all around and at a price point within our budget. So we ended up going with Tiva for our composite deck because of its quality and reasonable price points. We also bought TivaCoat as I was worried about the framing over time being exposed to rain and snow and rotting but also because of the close proximity to a swim spa. The TivaCoat was really easy to apply to the joist and framing boards and wicked away the water easily when I did the old water test a few days later. Now that we have finished the framing we are just waiting for the swim spa and laying the deck boards around it. I hope to share photo's when its all complete but cannot thank Jessica and the team enough for recommending a product meets our needs and budget.

I dealt with Lisa at the Deck Store and she was very helpful. She knew all about the railings and deck surfaces I needed. I had my order placed very quickly and she followed up with the suppliers on a timely basis.

Lisa and Jessica were both very helpful and offered suggestions when warranted.

I have purchased 2 decks in the last 10 years for two different homes. The quality workmanship from the team at The deck Store, Oakville is outstanding! The people are terrific. As a matter of interest, I asked for the same install team on the second deck, as we were so pleased with the first. Why am I writing today... I contacted the Deck Store to do some minor repairs after 7 years of use. Normal wear & tear in my opinion, and not under any kind of warranty. I called and booked an appointment. I learned I was dealing with the President (Stan) who quickly scheduled a time the very next day. Girsh the tech who did the minor repairs was terrific. A real gentleman & great work. I asked for the repair invoice form Girsh who said Stan would be in touch. I reached out to Stan wanting to pay for the work provided & promptly received word back that this was a "NO CHARGE" repair. I'm amazed after 7 years but this simply proves the caliber of the Deck Store Oakville. They appreciate your business and the after sales service is like I have never seen before. I highly recommend them and they stand behind their products & workmanship.

Jessica and Lisa are the absolute best! They have been so helpful through the entire deck building process, especially when we needed to obtain product quickly to meet our contractor's deadline. We could not have done this without their expertise, guidance and support. They make a great team! Thank you!

I typically don't write reviews but my positive experience from this business compelled me to write one today. My experience with purchasing from the Deck Store (Oakville) wasn't flawless - much like most reno projects lol. It is the manner in which they helped me through the issues that impressed me and warranted the five stars. YMMV so I'll share as much as possible in hopes of being helpful to someone out there.

I decided to work with my own contractors with whom I've had a long relationship for renos. For my deck project, I purchased a sizable quantity of Tivadek PVC boards from Alain at the Oakville store. I don't live in a mansion with a huge deck but these boards aren't exactly cheap so I was quite uptight about the details. Alain was very responsive and patient with the ridiculous number of questions I had before finally arriving at a quote. When paying for my order at the Oakville store, Jessica and Lisa showed the same level of professionalism and even pulled one of their inhouse contractors (I think) to give me an even more detailed answer. Some questions I asked involved the physical properties of PVC (in anticipation of any problems I might come across down the road) as well as his opinion on different fastener systems.

The delivery was scheduled within days. Unfortunately, the delivery department jumped the gun and had the boards sent to my home without my knowledge. I was told that I was able to select a suitable date in advance but this didn't happen. I ended up having to leave work early to put the boards away. Thankfully, nothing went missing.

Alain's calculations for the number of boards needed for my project was spot on. When I decided to increase the surface area slightly in the middle of the project, I wasn't surprised to find myself short of materials. I contacted Alain and his team and they were able to arrange a pick up for me within a day. A day! Obviously YMMV as this is very much inventory dependent. When I arrived at the yard, John was kind enough to cut the boards for me in order to fit into my car. In fact, he even asked what the ideal lengths were for my project to minimize waste. Rounded to the nearest foot of course.

Nearing the end of the project, my contractors discovered that a pack of screws was missing from a new box of fasteners. A quick call to the Oakville store was all that was required and a replacement bag was available for me to pick up. Finally at the end of the project, I had some extra joist sealant and fasteners left over (unused). The original invoice very clearly said "final sale" many times over. I proceeded with the original purchase fully aware I might have extra and decided it was better to have extra than not enough (while I have the contractors on the clock). I decided to reach out to Alain and his team anyways and they went above and beyond to work out a solution for me.

As detailed above, my experience from start to finish was not perfect. If I wanted a perfect experience making a purchase, I'd hop over to Popeyes to make a 5 minute spicy chicken sandwich takeout order. It's the combination of the quality of material and customer service from Alain and his team that motivated me to write this review and I'll definitely recommend the Deck Store (Oakville) to any family, friends and even neighbours wanting to build a PVC deck.

Tried to call them all day. No one answers the calls. I called multiple times half an hour before closing time. No one picks the phone, and yet the website shows that they are open for business. Frustrating!

I have been dealing with the deck store in Oakville for many years now, and they have never disappointed in value, customer service, and product knowledge. I don’t go anywhere else when it comes to any type of composite or pvc decking products. Go see Jessica at The Deck Store in Oakville, you will not be disappointed!

We can not say enough about the service and quality product we received from The Deck Store in Oakville. The entire team was very easy to work with and paid attention to details to ensure the final product was a good one. Shane, Bill and David are dedicated individuals, good communicators, and fastidious about their work.

It is wonderful to finally have a deck that does not require consistent maintenance and we are very pleased that the ceiling under the deck has made our space much cleaner and brighter. Excellent job!

With some spare time on my hands due to this current situation, we decided to try and build a deck. With difficulties placing an order at the big box retailers, we found The Deck Store on Kijiji. Alain was so helpful and went above and beyond in helping us pick the right materials and provided some great suggestions. He also gave us a great deal on TREX composite decking. Definitely recommend this store for all your home reno projects.

In 2019, we competitively retained THE DECK STORE (Oakville) as our supplier for a 600 sq.foot deck to be built with a PVC decking and a lighted glass perimeter railing. We found their pricing, accuracy of delivery and in-store advice to be erroneous and frequently unreliable; to the point that we halt doing further business with THE DECK STORE (Oakville) prior to the completion of our project. We recommend that you carefully check EVERY aspect twice.

It was a pleasure working with Stan & his team from The Deck Store. They did an amazing job on my deck. From the design stage to construction everything was done in a professional, experienced, dependable manner. I would highly recommend them to build your deck

If I could give a rating of 0 stars I would. At the outset it seems good- a range of products at okay prices but once they have your money you learn how disorganized they are, how hard it is to get a straight prompt answer from anyone there.if there is anyone there. The people with the ability to tell you anything are usually in a meeting, on holiday or out for lunch. Product delivery was a joke and the yard foreman is impossible to speak to. At this company the buck gets passed between sales staff any distribution yard so that it takes weeks of daily calling to get a result that is far from what was promised. Save yourself the time and headache and deal with another company.

Great service recieved from the sales people at the Deck Store. Great selection and very knowledgeable staff. Would recommend this place highly.

For many years we have wanted to build a deck, but we just couldn't get our head around all the different material options. We live in Georgetown and you guys are our nearest store. So we popped along one Saturday morning in November figuring we'd be the only customers, only to find they were a few patrons. Well Jessica was wonderful, not only did she ensure that we were not ignored, when it was our turn she was fun and pleasant. She honestly took the time to listen to us and what we were after and made some great suggestions. It's kinda daunting when there are a multitude of board colours to choose from. She patiently waited as we took down samples.then ummed and errred and even let us take them outside to see them in daylight. We choose a winner and left Jessica with our deck plans. She completed our boards calculation (with Alan's assistance) and we returned to pay our deposit, she was just as amazing and pleasant as the first time around. Unfortunately our boards were on back order from the manufacturer so didn't arrive when estimated, however Jessica kept us well informed via email and/or phone. Once available Jessica made sure to update us (even though she was not going to be in the office). Our boards arrived as scheduled and carefully delivered by Marcel. The boards were installed this week. We are beyond pleased! Jessica gets all the kudos - THANKYOU, but I also have to shout out to Alan.we only had 1.5 boards left over after installation, so he definitely is a board wizard. Thankyou Deck Store, we will definitely be back

The attention to detail in completing our deck was phenomenal. Specifically, the specialists who built the deck were courteous and very profiessional in atrending to immediate needs and were readily available despite their commitment to other jobs, If you are planning on getting a deck built, I will not hesitate to recommend Curtis and his team to be involved with the task! The folks at Oakville store were great to deal with. Our order was originated out of the Stoney Creek office with Lisa, with pick up arranged out of the Oakville store. Initially the order was handled well with Lisa in Stoney Creek, but then we ran into delays, and the more we tried to get answers, the more push back we received from Lisa in Stoney Creek. The final straw was an email she sent with major attitude. I now refer all family and friends directly to Oakville store, and will avoid dealing with Stoney Creek in the future.

My experience at the Deck Store was amazing. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and responded to all my questions in a timely manner. The showroom has so many different deck and railings on display. This makes it so easy to choose what you want or even find something you didn’t know existed! I highly recommend visiting the Deck Store!

A great experience all round. Al Paton spent over an hour educating me to the superior qualities of composite materials over wood, and the good/better/best choices within that category.

On enquiring as to whether I may be up to building the deck myself? , Al answered although not usual, it could be done.

This chosen avenue required a substantial increase in service from Al, requiring hand holding and fielding many phone calls from me. This was done with patience, encouragement and humour.

His estimating of materials and hardware was almost perfect, and anything deficient was sourced and waiting for pick-up usually within an hour. (usually followed by another 15 minutes of hearing about any hurdles I was experiencing, and talking me through them)

Although I bit off a little more than I bargained for, I will not hesitate to use Al and his team for future projects.

Absolutely thrilled at the quality and craftsmanship Robert and his team at the Deck Store built for us in our back yard. Using tiered and angled decks, modern materials like Art Panels in privacy fencing and matching gates, our boring, builders style deck, has been turned into an amazing backyard oasis. They listened to our wants, needs and desires and came up with something we could only dream about. Never been happier and never had so many compliments on our outdoor living space. We can thoroughly recommend them.

After a referral from a friend we hired the Deck Store to design and build our deck and surrounding patio. We could not be happier with the results. The design by Robert exceeded our expectations and the crew from the Deck Store were very professional and courteous during the entire construction. Any questions or concerns were delt with promptly by company President Stan Welland. In addition the Deck Stores' after care is stellar. Even a year later any questions or concerns are delt with promptly, cant ask for more then that. Great job The Deck Store!

Planning and building a premium deck is no easy task. I had a few helpful conversations with some people at Home Depot but when I went to the Deck Store that's when I realized how important it was to be talking to the experts.

The Deck Store had a better selection of materials at competitive rates. The fact that they could talk me through the differences across my options helped me make a well-informed decision. As I was preparing my order it was great to be able to have a few back and forths with Jessica in person and over email to get things right.

The Deck Store is definitely worth checking out if you're planning a backyard project.

This location of The Deck Store is superb with cheerful staff who are very knowledgeable. They are able to meet with you and help you create the perfect outdoor space. They also have a computerized 3D modeling service which lets you see you're finished plan before construction begins. Whatever your needs, feel comfortable that your needs will be met and your expectations exceeded.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the Oakville Deck Store location. We approached them with the plans, they helped with advice, were super knowledgable on the various materials and put together a complete package of PVC decking and fasteners for the project. We chose Wolf PVC boards on their recommendation.
Throughout the 3 months it took me and friends to build the deck, they were always patient, helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. You simply do not get that level of service dealing with a big box store for such a complex process.

The Deck Store built our deck August 2016. They did a fantastic job and were quick. We clearly indicated that the work must be 100% completed by the negotiated date as we had a backyard party with 50 people booked. They were true to their word and completed in time, ensuring that everything was cleaned up. The project was managed by Stephanie who was the designer and project manager for this project. She was great at providing diagrams that helped us select the right colour combinations. Recognizing budget constraints they provided options as well as recommendations for phased projects that would build upon each other for what our final state would look like. It was 2016 June that we met with Terry Fangrad (the owner), and Stan
Weiland (Vice-President) from the Deck Store;after a full one year stress
with our two leveled deck, which turned out to be a catastrophic project,
with a contractor who was not qualified to undertake such a project.
İn short;our Two Leveled Deck had to be torn down and rebuilt from the
ground. So after such an awfull and stressful experience, our advice for
everybody would be to go with a professional company like 'Deck Store',
if they do not want to have major issues with their project built by an
inferior crew.
We were really very much impressed with both Terry and Stan's concern
and their friendly approach to our issue, as well as their extreme knowledge in decking. They acted as what a customer would expect from a professional company, and they proved their professionalism throughout our project in all ways.
Even after our first meeting, we were very confident, being sure that we
were on the right track with a professional company for our deck project.
Although they are a very big company, they were not snobs at all, like other
deck companies that we dealed with;in handling the problems of the customers like us, who were cheated by a contractor.
Both Terry and Stan are very genuine and knowledgeable in every bit of decking project. They were both very helpful with the process and did
their best to meet our needs with patience.
Stan as a Vice President always listened to all our concerns and offered
advice as well as providing excellent customer service. He exceeded our every expectation and always quickly responded to our request for every
assistance. He was always very diligent in stopping by and checking on the progress and always kept us informed on all phases of the project.
We are so grateful to him on all aspects, most of all his patience in solving
out our huge problem professionaly and with his calm personality.
Dario;who started to built our deck at the end of January 2017, truly is a very hard worker, who worked so hard even in very cold winter days, and
always with a big smile on his face. He never ever had a complaint even
a day, working full time in such a cold weather. We always appreciated his attitude and politeness, and of course his amazing outstanding job with the deck construction. He was the major builder of our Two Storey Deck,
which needed great experience and talent since it was a big 1.200 sq.ft.deck, and also with a Waterproofing system, and he completed the job
professionally. We are absolutely very pleased with the outcome.
Bill;who joined our project from time to time, especially with the lighting of
the deck, is also very polite, talented and has great work responsibility. He
is very successful to solve out every electric issue with his great talent.
