I love this place and loc! There's a wide variety of goods to choose from. We went here for a nice trim and nail cut. It was good, but the hair on his private part was cut too short. I think it shouldn't be that way because it's like a protective thing. Anw, I just forgot to mention it to them. I should've explained what I really wanted. Thumbs up for the staffs. They are very friendly.

Groom is okay… tail is a hack job, also spots where she missed clumps of hair. Most likely because they have too many dogs in there at once hence why it takes 3 to 4 hours for a basic groom. Cashier is rude or lacks in basic customer service skills. Tried making me pay before even going and getting my dog for me to see after his groom. Straight to the money…. Off putting. Then got a weird tone with me after I asked to see my dog before paying.

I would recommend taking your dog elsewhere.

I love coming here to the dog market because the people here are very knowledgeable about what they are doing and selling and also saying. I get my dog food from them all the time here.

Nice place to shop. They have raised their price to $15 for their dog nail clipping avail 12-4.

A tricky review. On the one hand, they do an excellent job with the grooming. However, everything else is quite difficult and unpredictable (the scheduling experience is clunky and inconsistent - they will often give you a ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ timeslot, the price fluctuates significantly with no predictability beforehand etc.). So, overall quality good, everything else not so much.

The staff are so friendly and helpful! My dog comes to get his nails trimmed. We can drop in without making an appointment, which is very convenient. The prices on treats (eg.bully sticks) and dog toys (eg.kongs) are excellent. Amazing selection, too. Everyone is always friendly and their advice is useful.

I love this store and all it has to offer. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Generally if they don't have what you're looking for they will advise you where to find it:)

No better store in southern Ontario. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always go the extra mile. Their grooming salon is also the BEST. My dog has been getting groomed since he was 12 weeks old and he always wanted to rush out of the salon once he was done. That is, until we started going to the Dog Market. Now he's excited for his grooming appointments and it's hard to get him to leave the store after the appointment. Prices are beyond reasonable and the job they do is immaculate. Well worth every penny. If you're looking for a grooming salon this is absolutely the place to go.

This was my first time trying them for cat grooming services and I have to say I’m very impressed by the way they handled my delayed arrival, the care of my cat and their prices for the result. It was exactly what I wanted. They gave my cat a beautiful lion cut with rounded face that I had requested and the whole process was seamless. I’m definitely going back there again.

Friendly staff, great grooming, fast nail trims (walk ins welcome for nail trims). Lots of baked treats, bones, healthy treats, kibble and more! They offer local delivery as well for kibble/food.

My go to for anything dog related. First on my list for all my pet present shopping needs. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable, and they have a great range of products.

Dog market has a great selection of goodies that will make you and your dog happy! Our dog Alfie gobbled up their birthday cake SO quickly we didnt even get time for a picture!

They have the craziest, amazing items for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, it is the proverbial something for everyone.
I'll be honest, you pay for what you get, always good quality, and safe for your pet.
Why do we go there? Simply put the staff and management.
**Penny the Bully says she goes there is for a never ending supply of treats she gets from the staff. (Who am I to argue).

We absolutely love the dog market, Indie has been going since she was a puppy for treats, toys, grooming and pretty much everything else. Nothing makes it more obvious that she loves her groomers than when she pulls me inside every time we walk by! Great staff, great products - absolutely love it here:)

The Dog Market is a great pet store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We always take Misu here for her washing, nail clipping, dog food, treats and recently her new bed, which she loves.

This is such a great local dog shop! The staff are so helpful, friendly and always treat my dog like a queen). They are well stocked and I like the variety they have for my very picky dog. I’ve been shopping here since we got our 5 year old rescue Pomeranian, and recently decided it was time for a grooming appt. I was a little nervous, but Chris did an amazing job. I wanted to keep her looking like her, and my pup came backing looking fabulous and happy. They did such a great job and the product they used were great for her sensitive skin. Will be back for another pup cut!

Great selection of treats, food, equipment, and specialty cakes and neat stuff for the pups. The staff are super lovely and always very sweet. They also do nail clippings and I think a couple other services. Love supporting the local dog market!
Grabbed a couple bully sticks the other day and once again, the most friendly staff! Simcoe, our Aussie Shepherd, always sits out front of the dog market every time we walk by cause he loves it in there!

This was the first store we visited, soon after we knew when our puppy would be coming home. We bought every essential (and non essential) thing here: treats, grooming products, crate, bed, toys, collar, leash, you name it. The pandemic was in full force so it was a shop-at-door experience, but the staff were all lovely and helped us immensely. I felt bad that they had to keep running back into the store to get different items.

Bernie has been getting groomed at the Dog Market for years - they always do a great job and are always very friendly!

My doggies and cats are well feed and love the dog market! Bully bites have been our favourite treat has stopped my dogs from chewing up anything they aren't supposed. The dog market is amazing. We love the staff and groomers they all Iove our pets and take the best care of them. Their grooming is wonderful and my pets love them. The Dog Market has been great to our dog since she was a puppy. They have a great selection of treats, food, clothing, and so much more! They are so helpful and knowledgeable about the products that they carry - they help fit our dog with her jacket and harness.

The groomers are also fantastic! Our dog, like most dogs, does not like getting her nails cut but the groomers at The Dog Market have always been great with her and we've never had any issues. We even moved outside of the Toronto area and we still take our dog to the Dog Market!

The Dog Market is amazing. I've been going there since I got my puppy (daily in the beginning for help and advice) and the staff is so helpful and kind. The groomers are excellent and caring. So lucky to live close by to this great place!

I recently started taking my dogs to the Dog Market for grooming. Im thoroughly impressed and love having such a competent groomer in the neighbourhood. Our dog has a non-standard trim (bedlington terrier) and they did it perfectly.

Willow had her first groom at the dog market! We absolutely love it. The staff always greet & treat and make us feel so welcome. They have the cutest stuff and the best toys. We love to pop in once a week:)

My dog Gogo absolutely loves coming to the Dog Market. Everyone is very nice and so knowledgeable. We got help buying Gogo a winter sweater and a very good harness. We got advice on all things puppy when we first got Gogo last winter. And we always come in to buy cookies for Gogo - she loves them. The store is well organized and has great products. The staff is very knowledgeable and have great suggestions. My puppy had ear issues and we found a product that works great. They are great with sizing and ensuring the products are right for our pup.

BEST Grooming service staff! We have our golden doodle Sophie groomed here and she looks fantastic! Great friendly professional staff and competitive rates. A pleasure doing business with them!

Wonderful shop with caring staff! Always has everything we need for our doggos, including yummy treats. We often bring our lil guys there for their nail trims, and they do it efficiently and with care - which is important since my dogs are not the biggest fan of people touching their paws. Definitely a gem of a shop within the beaches!

Go to spot for quality coats, harnesses and dog beds. We have had pugs for 20 years or so and finding good fitting coats and harnesses for their special physique can be difficult. The Dog Market has knowledgeable staff and carry some lines like Goldpaw that work for pugs. Staff is always welcoming and engaged and the boys love their grooming appointments too!

I love the dog market so much. Everyone there is so friendly and they have amazing products. I always feel so taken care of whenever I go. They also have amazing training groups and grooming. I have been going there ever since I got my pup and it’s our favourite pet store for sure. I definitely recommend!

We are first time dog owners and The Dog Market is our go-to for Leo’s needs. The staff is so knowledgeable and kind, and never sales-y. We’ve bought lots of his gear here and will be back of course. His new winter coat is beautiful and keeps him cozy on long walks.

The Dog Market is a great place for your dog if you aren't trying to pay high prices! They sell affordable good quality foods, toys treats and have very kind staff who will help you with any questions you may have!

One of my dog’s favorite shops. We always stop in when we head to the dog beach. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always so helpful. They have a wide variety of food, treats, toys and other accessories available.

Very good selection for collars and pretty much everything else, treats, coats, beds.prices are reasonable too.

The Dog Market is the best in the city. No one takes better care of Auggie. Here he is after his Christmas cut. The scarves after a grooming are always a great bonus. The staff are knowledgeable and caring and the products in store are well researched and safe and healthy for your pet. It is a gem of a store.

I bring my dog here & love the grooming services. My dog is a Maltese/yorkie/poodle & maintaining her hair isn’t always the easiest, but the dog market never misses the mark. The staff are always so helpful, knowledgeable & I highly recommend visiting & supporting this local business.

This is our favorite dog store, when compared to the big pet shops and other smaller stores. We’ve been here countless times since getting our beagle puppy Gogo. As soon as you walk in, you feel at ease and like you’re with friends. Everyone is so nice and wants to help you. The store is small but don’t let that fool you! It’s packed with all kinds of high quality toys, clothes, a ton of collars, leashes, snacks and food. They also sell cookies beside the cash register and they can make you a doggy birthday cake! Can’t wait to go for a visit! Much love to you guys! Gogo loves coming in and saying “hawooooo”. ️️

This is Stanley's favorite place. I have been coming here for over 6 years and I won't go anywhere else! He comes regularly for grooming and they treat him like he is their own. They have found little issues that I would not have seen. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have everything he could ever need.

The staff here are really nice and the products are great and reasonably priced. I love supporting a local business rather than a large chain.

That being said on the 3-4 times I've been here I feel like the associates give very generic advice and may not have a deep enough knowledge if you do need something specific (ie allergies or dietery restrictions).

If you need something general they are great at that (toys, harness etc)

The Dog Market has the best service and grooming in the city! I have a doodle puppy and was so scared to bring him in for his first full groom because he has very long beautiful hair. I’ve seen so many dogs come back from other groomers shaved and looking unlike themselves. Natasha assured me continuously that they wouldn’t do this to my puppy and she was so patient and thoughtful! Sure enough when I picked him up he looked INCREDIBLE. They genuinely listened to me and did a fantastic job. I was over the moon happy and relieved! I trust them so much now and will only go here. The best part.my puppy came out so happy and tired from playing with other puppies the whole time, I could tell he had the best day!

There's a lot of great things about this place that others have mentioned and we agree with all of them but I just have to say this; I have never encountered a business that is worse at answering their phone than the Dog Market. I never get through, it usually takes at least five calls before anyone picks up and I don't understand. I think the staff maybe is trained to ignore the phone if other customers are around? That's all I can think of because here I am on my 10th attempt to get someone to pick up and I'm still not able to.

This is my dogs favorite place, PERIOD. He gets more excited to see the staff there than me when I come home some days! We can’t even walk past the store without him dragging me inside. Natasha is lovely and so professional, & everyone that works there is equally friendly and welcoming.

I was really impressed with the experience for my Cockapoo Bowie. It was her first visit there and I could tell she was treated great. The groomer did a great job and left Bowie looking beautiful. The staff are amazing and made me feel like I was welcome so I am definitely looking forward to our next visit! I definitely recommend

My 10 month old male Pomeranian Brody had his 1st ever grooming session and I selected The Dog Market. I am thrilled and lucky I found this place. The store containing so much to choose from for your pups or cats from clothes, food, toys, beds, bakery goodies and a fantastic team with an on site grooming team. I was nervous at first and the team at the Dog Market from my phone calls to the actual arrival date and completion of Brodys grooming went so smoothly. The staff are quite professional and experienced in ensuring all of your needs for your fur baby is taken care of. This is just for the grooming and customer service. Which were so bad I will not be returning here ever again.

Let's start with the grooming. We took our dog there for a normal groom and they shaved her completely down to the skin which we explicitly asked them not to do. Yes, she had mats in her hair but my girlfriend and I have had many dogs in our life who have had mats. A full body shave was not required. You can trim around the mats and then brush them out or you can scissor cut the mats. If I wanted a shaved dog I very easily could have done it myself.

Customer service was very poor. The woman who spoke to us when we dropped her off was argumentative and would not listen to anything we had to say. They did not give us a time frame for pick up. They were highly unresponsive when we called.

Last point, they had our dog for almost 5 hours and the resulting cut should not have taken more than 2 hours at the most. Considering she was completely shaved.

Like I said at the beginning, we will not be returning here and we will make it very clear to every we speak to that this is not an establishment to be trusted if you care about your dog's appearance at all.

The only place I will take my baby Enzo to get a grooming! He always comes out happy and looking clean and fresh. If Enzo is happy, I'm happy! The ladies here are extremely friendly to both you and your pet. Christina is an AMAZING groomer. Highly reccomend!

Everyone & especially the owner are amazing in this location. We have been going and shopping here for 5 years since moving to TO and cannot say enough about Nat & the crew. It is like going home with the warmth and caring about our dogs and seen with everyone else’s that walks in. Need a place WELL here you go.

Since getting my puppy about 9 months ago I’ve found the staff at The Dog Market to be super friendly and helpful. Whether Daisy needs treats or a new collar or grooming, this is the pet store I go to. Thanks for staying so helpful even through the pandemic challenges!

I took Marty here for the first time recently. He was really matted and I knew that he needed to be shaved down. They did an excellent job and followed the example I gave them to the T. I am so much happier now even though my dog had to be shaved down due to the current circumstances, I'm 100x more happier than if I had to wait. Thank you so so much. You have no idea how much you've relieved my anxiety. You did such a good job!

There is a particular woman who works there who is arrogant, and not very helpful. You will realize who it is pretty quick when you talk them, so I suggest you try and avoid her. The shop itself is small but pretty good.

Love the dog market! So helpful, so kind and friendly, really made me feel very welcomed! My dogs are in love with the place! I highly recommend this cute pet shop to everyone!:)
