The Dog Stop

Recommended by my son's roommate. Very caring staff, introduced our new dog, a rescue from Texas, to give him some time to expend energy and socialize. Have signed him up for basic training as well as half days twice a week for socialization.

I been Dealing with chronic lower spinal pain for over 15 years and after 4 session my pain has subsided and only my traps r left to work on and minor leg pain I’m glad i finally Took the step to do this

Arlene and her staff go well beyond the call of duty looking after the dogs in their care. I have been a long time training client and have spent many hours with Arlene and her staff and there is no one Id rather have taking care of my dog if im not able to.

I use to bring my dog here until one of the staff members opened up and told me how long my dog was crated for. I had him there for only half days and one of the days he was crated longer than 3 hours. I appreciated her honesty however, what exactly am I paying them for? My dog is WAY better off being at home and a dog walker comes and takes him out.

Ebba loves to play with her friends at Day Care. Play time is supervised and fun. We also have benefitted from participating in the Social Obedience classes where Ebba and I are learning good dog manners in real social situations.

Great facility, offering many different services for you and your dog! I had the chance to attend a few seminars and certifications at The Dog Stop, and my dogs had a great time while attending with me. Arlene, the owner, has been in this business for a long time and I can only admire her dedication and love for the dogs. Highly recommend!

The Dog Stop staff and the owner Arlene are caring and take good care of your dog. Arlenes staff are well trained, in dog training and doggy daycare. Arlene the owner is passionate about you, the owner taking the training and utilizing it with your pet the ensure you have the best experience with your pet! Ive had many dogs in my lifetime and know that every dogs trains differently than the rest, however it is also up to me the owner to do the work! I would highly recommend Arlene and The Dog Stop for your Dogs training and daycare needs! 5 star plus in my books!

The Dog Stop is a clean, friendly, well-run facility that has helped me and my dog tremendously. We started taking classes when my 1 year old dog became very nervous and reactive, making it hard for us to go for walks or be around other people and dogs. Now she is much better and I have the skills I need to feel confident handling my dog in different situations. She also loves her agility classes which she can now do off leash in front of other dogs and people, without me having to worry about her reactivity. It is so much fun! Over the last few years I have also met lots of new friends through training, obedience and agility classes. The owner Arlene is very knowledgeable - she has studied with experts from all over and is continuously seeking out new ideas and different techniques for her clients to try. She has a solid foundation and philosophy for her training programs and knows what works, but she is also flexible and can help her clients explore different options until they find what works best for them and their dogs. She is excellent with all of the dogs and a great teacher. She is calm and confident, and the dogs respond really well to that.

Not impressed with this facility at all!
The staff turnover is way too frequent. The smell of the place is overwhelming, making you wonder how often it is cleaned. Very rundown. I've witnessed constant barking and dogs jumping up inside crates. I won't even get started on the owner of the place. Don't take your dog here!

Never met a person that cares more about the animals in her care. Patient always. What you want in a trainer and looking after your pet.

To start i would like to say this is the only place I trust bringing my dog the staff is reliable and passionate about there job which is important as they are with my dog 5 days a week 9hrs a day! Arlene the owner is the kindest person I know and I can say that she truly treats our dogs as her own family! Chico and I are grateful for you.

The dog stop is our go to place for training and doggy daycare. Arlene and her team are great with the dogs and very patient with us people too because a huge part of dog training is human training. We have two dogs with very different temperaments and Arlene customizes her advice for each dog. All training is based on positive reinforcement. Our timid dog started out with her tail between her legs and now runs agility over obstacles that she was initially afraid of. You can see the agility class on the dog stop instagram. She's the one with the flying tail and the grin. She is also super attentive to instructions on course - well, most of the time. She knows when it is agility day and follows my wife around the house on Saturday morning until it is time to go. The other dog is a friendly goof who often needs extra motivation to encourage him to listen to his humans. He needs patience, persistence and lots of rewards. We are all enjoying our time at the dog stop and we are learning to work together in a positive and fun way. Thank you Arlene

I would like to start off with my dog liked it there, the staff are very sweet but the owner Arlene is not a good person she doesn’t care about anyone’s feelings but her own. She doesn’t seem to care about dogs and because of that I don’t trust her around mine so we no longer go.

I wrote another review a few years ago but I just wanted to say that I still love the place! I have two dogs and a foster dog that go to daycare and my dogs do advanced agility. I highly recommend it. I know they are safe and happy when they come here and that they will be nice and tired when they get home:)

Been going here for two and a half years for different programs and the social obedience class and it's been a great experience!
