The buns are really good! The brioche bread is very soft and smells so fragrant. The filling is quite generous compared to other places. The price is decent for what you get. Some other bakeries charge way too much for mediocre bread.

They know how to make good pastries! Tastes way better than those sold at most stores and obviously groceries. Will buy again.

Fluffy soft buns though I think they might have sealed some too early as there was some moisture inside of some so left it soggy. Otherwise pretty good. Not cheapest but not that bad for quality you're getting. I like spicy chicken sandwiches they have. Came out recently when I bought so still warm

My little brother loves chicken burgers so much. For me, egg tart is my favorite. Either the butter or the puff pastry. Moderate sweetness and the aroma of egg tart always cheer me up.

They are quite busy in the afternoon, but the clerks always provide good service and are active in satisfying my needs. Thank you so much.

Came here under the influence of the Doss effect, and the bakery does not disappoint.one of the best Chinese bakeries I've tried.the buns are fluffy, and the fillings taste great.the filled pastries are really worth trying. I will definitely make the trek from downtown again

Awesome mousse cakes. We tried their chocolate mousse and coconut mousse cake, so smooth and delicious. We would definitely go back and try other pastries.

Their desserts are awesome and so pretty! It's not super sweet either. I love their pineapple cake squares and egg tarts!

New Asian Bakery in Markham near Warden and Steeles. They mainly sell Hong Kong style buns and pastries like savoury sausage buns and dan tat (egg tarts), but also have Japanese inspired treats like Sesame bread and matcha mini cakes. You can get plain and chocolate croissants. Something for everyone!:) The buns and pastries here are super soft, and sweet but not too sweet, which is great. You can tell they are fresh, and not sitting out too long. I got their iced HK milk tea as well which I enjoyed. Prices are good, bang for your buck! If you're in the area, please give it a try! Will be back.

Amazing bakery, there are some taiwanese style bread and pastries that I ate in Taiwan before. Came here a lot after I visited first time, highly recommend.

Been here multiple times and tried different cakes! Every single time, really lovely service. The people working there are so cheery. I’ve tried 4 of their cakes and each one is delish! Not too sweet, or too heavy, but still super flavourful. Their milk tea is 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

I dropped in to pick up some classic egg tarts and pineapple buns.
The location is super clean and well laid out.

The service was courteous and efficient. The egg tarts were flaky and not too over sweet. It was quite enjoyable because other versions tend to be kind of oily which leaves an unpleasant after taste. But not here. It was delicious.

The pineapple buns are good. They offer classic HK bakery items at an elevated level in taste and presentation. They will even have some new creations that you won't find anywhere else.

My husband stopped by and picked up some buns from The Dough while running errands at Metro Square; we'd seen signs for the new bakery a while back and were curious to try now that it's open. We were pleasantly surprised! The buns were very soft and fluffy, and there was a decent amount of filling in both the savoury and sweet buns.

While many of the buns are similar to the ones you'd see at a traditional Chinese bakery, they had some subtle differences. For example, our son really enjoyed the cheese sausage bun because it was cheesy on the outside and on the inside. Nothing groundbreaking, but still nice to see a modern twist added to the traditional buns, while still making sure they're well-executed (far too many places now become popular based on hype/Instagram-worthiness).

We were happy with what we tried (it's a step up from the old bakery that used to occupy the space), and we plan to go back again to try other buns!

Edit: It seems like it's best to go earlier in the day. They close at 8pm, but when we went around 5-6pm on a Monday, most buns were cleared out!

Their egg tarts (they have both pie and flaky crust egg tarts available) are pretty good too!

We had our wedding at a nearby venue (New Century Restaurant) and ordered dessert/snacks for the reception from The Dough.

The only regret we had during our wedding was not buying more dessert! It was so delicious, amazingly packaged, and they delivered it to us!

After the wedding, our friends all told us how great the cakes were (especially mango), mochi balls, and the curry buns.

New bakery that serves delicious soft buns and pastries. The best thing about this shop is that their buns are heavenly soft, way better than the other bakeries in Markham. The stuffing is flavorful and not too salty/sweet. Their HK milk tea could be more intense in tea aroma and flavorful. The shop is actually at the back of the plaza facing Century restaurant. Some breads/buns are only available after 12pm so give them a call before you come.

Fresh and yummy baked goods, from bolo baos with Mango Pudding, to loafs of specialty breads, buns and small single sized cakes and Swiss Rolls it has it all.

Newly open bakeshop. When I was there were not many cakes/mousses left on display. They are primarily a Chinese buns bakery with some upgrades to meat-filled burgers and buns. The dough is soft and puffy which added to the freshness. Prices are moderate. The shop is rather small and more than 3 persons in will filled the space with infectious air.
