When we walked it we asked for a table of 8 and there was only a table of 4 clean and another table they had to clean of 4 people they said they don’t have a table for 8 people. All they had to do is clean the other table for us to sit. After insisting they said they will clean it but asked our group of 8 to wait outside in the cold when it’s snowing. The service was terrible, don’t recommend for anyone.

The service attitude of the restaurant staff is particularly poor. We asked the service staff to order and they actually thought we were making noise, which affected her work. She has a very bad attitude towards us.

They didn’t take our order, even when more people were dining in and we say we are ready to order. Maybe go when it’s alone. Food it’s soso and it’s a cheap place to eat.

The interior of the store is a bit old and there were a lot of customers at the time so it was busy and it was difficult to order by getting a table at the back where you couldn't see the door, but the food was delicious for the price.

Waiting for more than 30 mins and still not getting what we ordered even though the people who came after us all got their food before us! And it was the same order

Love this place. Great food, great prices and huge portions. One the last few authentic Korean restaurants left in Toronto.

Food is tasty, unfortunately there isn't much seating and often have to wait a bit to get seated, and the staff are usually so busy it takes a while to get your order /food.

Terrible service. Came in and told the waitress we were ready to order. Only to sit there for 20 more minutes being completely ignored and service other customers that came in. Finally just got up and left. I have been to this place before. Decent food but never great service. But after today - never coming back.

Downgraded to two star. Used to be our regular restaurant. Now the price got jacked up at least 30% while quantity and quality goes down.

The most delicious pork bone spicy korean soup I ever taste great portion and lots of pork waitresses are really good and fast to bringing your food definitely worth the money we spend

This was used to be my go-to place for khampungi before pandemic. However, they have changed the recipe that negatively impact the dish quality. Therefore it is no longer my must-have dish. Other dishes are still as good as before!

I've been coming to this spot for more than a decade and I don't think I will ever get tired of it. The pork bone soup, bulgogi and spicy chicken are always made perfectly whether it's 4PM or 4AM. The staff are friendly and efficient. Make sure to take advantage of their stamp system, every 10th order is a free pork bone soup.

P. S if you can't park on Yonge St, there is additional parking in the back of the restaurant.

As I was scrolling down to look at the reviews of my favourite restaurant I noticed a account named Mr Reyes had commented that the place was not open 24 hours which is entirely false. They might have been confused with another Owl of Minerva because I went there yesterday at midnight and they were still open, I just wanted to let the person and others know that the one in north York is open for 24 hours, if you’d like to check if I am correct I suggest you go back again to the one in north York.

Excellent Korean pork bone soup (gamjatang) experience. Generous amount of meat and savory soup taste. They also had other kid-friendly menu and other well-regarded Korean dishes. Did I mention they have their own parking lot at the back? Ample parking takes the worry of parking in the busy area of North York.

There isn't anything wrong with serving side dishes on styerfone plates, however it does not mean the server didnt bother to give us any utensils for your pork bone soup.

We've been to Owl for many years, however, last week convinced us that we will not go back to this location. The food is no longer tasty, however the service has gotten worst with one employee. When we placed our order the server already not in the mood to work. Once our food had arrived along with our side dishes. The server quickly placed our dishes but we didnt receive our utensils. We asked the same server for utensils. The server bought us two wooden chopsticks then tossed them on our table. Before we could ask her for spoons (we ordered pork bone soup) the server had left quickly and pretended she didnt hear us. We then asked another server, we asked for spoons, this server came with silver spoons and the silver chopsticks.we declined the silver chopsticks since we received wooden ones already.

This location had been our to go for so many years. Sadly, we will not go back.

There is ample parking in the back, which is funtastic considering the location. The service is okay and the food is also just okay, not as good as it used to be before, but it is fast. So think of it as McDonald’s of Korean restaurants.

Delicious food & great service. We ordered some bulgogi & pork stew and the food was glorious. I wanted some extra kimchi on the side and they kindly obliged which made me super happy. Superb experience all in all.

In the covid takeout wars you can’t beat the price and portion of the Owl! Love that Kimchi too, hope when we open up they will return to making their great Banchan.

I ordered 71.00 worth of food, pork katsu, seafood pancake and bbq beef ribs. Specifically asked for the pancake sauce to be on the side and the waitress said of course we put it in. Got all the way home with the food opened the bag and no sauce for my 20.00 pancake. I called the store and they said sorry, do you have any soy sauce at home? Last time I will visit this restaurant. Katsu was very dry and not tasty at all. I expected a complimentary pancake on my next visit but sorry and don't you have your own soy sauce did not meet my expectations. A lost customer!

Had a great time! The food was great and so was the service. They were super helpful to us as pretty clueless first timers. Will definitely be visiting again.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this Korean restaurant but was pleasantly surprised by the taste of their food. Enjoyed the rice dishes as well as the hearty soups but most of all I enjoyed the appetizer pickles.

Don't go to this restaurant. I am a korean that actualy knows Korean foods. Never had such bad Korean food. Glass noodles taste like soy sauce and nothing else; NO meat. Pork bone soup is more salty than the ocean. Bulgogi had only three pieces of meat and was very salty too. I spent over 80 dollars for that. They begged for more tips too. What lose lose situation. You can find a better Korean restaurant in North York area.
I hope the owner takes this seriously.

Food was good!
JeYukBokeum (spicy & slightly sweet, epic when the left over sauce is mixed with the rice), BBQ LA beef ribs (sharable $ good). Their spicy soups perfect in the winter!
It's a nice environment for a big crowd.

Cheap service, cheap food, cheap place all together. Couldn't bare eating the food, the people who serve were giving terrible attitude. Worst part, they don't split bills. Next level lazyness I have never seen something like this in my lifetime.

The service is extremely awful! And super disorganized. On the first day of new year, The waiter wears a glasses with thin black frame is very mean. We asked for the menu, he use very impatiented and rude voice to tell us just wait, then we waited for fifteen mins and he keep ignoring our table. When We started to wear jacket, he ignored. When we started to go out of the restaurant, he started to ask: what’s the problem. He is so rude! Will never come back to this restaurant.

WAITED FOR 30min+ TO GET OUR ORDERS. Should have done a better job managing the tables! Two other guys came in at the same time as us and they already FINISHED EATING but we JUST got 2 of our 3 orders! SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!

Delicious food right here! Close to where I work, service is fast, nice staff and again food is delicious! I love their spicy Bulgogi. Side dishes are treat and combine with Kloud beer, it is a perfect lunch right here.

I've been coming here since they opened and I have never been disappointed. In the winter months I go for the tried, tested and true KamJaTang (spicy pork bone soup) and the small complementary apps that come with. What a lot of people miss out on is the back entrance patio in the summer for real coal roasted pork jowl! Almost a 5 star for me if they put more meat in the Bibimbap (beef bone soup) Kudos for their expansion across the city!

I think this is the best place for pork bone soup it's very busy I would give it 5 stars but the service is lacking because of how busy it is

I have been there multiple times with family, friends and my significance other. Food has been consistently delicious coming with decent portion sizes. Great for a casual time!

Can be very busy with wait times over 20 minutes, interior decor is below average (not modern or renovated) and seating is cramped, but it has a lively, authentic and cosy atmosphere if you like that. Prices are aligned with other korean restaurants in the area.

Bad experience ever! They are so rude. They ask for the tip, but the customer service is horrible. Will never go again.

First time trying this amazing meal after having kalbi and pork bone soup for a while, and it has definitely changed my view of repeated meals! Great service for the choice as well, they stirred, mixed the food for first timers. 100% will be going back for more!

Ordered food from this on Ubereats a handful of times but today I decided to try it in-restaurant. Food was pretty decent. Glad that it’s not super spicy because I don’t eat spicy at all.: D

I ordered the Pork bone soup.pretty good.

Service was okay. Staff was friendly but during the time I went there was only 1 waiter. It would of been better if there were more waiters. Didn’t get everything I asked for (example extra napkins) because of the whole only 1 waiter thing hence why I put 4 stars instead of 5.

Prices were decent. Averaging $10-15$ per fish.

The food here has really taken a downward turn. Pork bone soup barely had any soup and it was not spicy at all. Also there were only two small sad pieces of potato. In fact it was mainly salty. Soft tofu stew also had very little soup but at least it was kinda spicy. Mandu (dumplings) were better. I feel like the flavours have been adjusted to suit non Korean palate.

Service
It was okay, staff not super friendly but more matter of fact. Kept forgetting to bring tea to us and managed to get some after asking three times.

Ambience
It’s fine, nothing to write home about.

It’s the normal prices for Korean food (roughly $11-$15 for mains like pork bone soup and stews.
