Everything was great except coat check. I came in 12/29/23 at around 10: 00pm when the place was legitimately empty and the male at coat check was incredibly rude DESPITE there being no line behind me. There was no reason to rush, but his demeanour and tone was not welcoming whatsoever. Not to mention him speaking in a different language in a ANNOYED manner when I asked for clarification on something nicely. Rest of the night was great though when I didn’t have to interact with them.
My friend and I got our phones stolen right out of the zipped up bag I had under my shoulder:/ two stars because the train going around the bar was cute and the bathroom was nice.
Dj should be fired. He was all over the place playing rock then right after hip hop, house horrible dj. Then lady’s ask for a request and the bouncer “tough guy”’pushes the lady away. Never will return
Thank you Anthony for the hospitality! In a big city bar scene like Toronto, the revenue is often prioritized more than the experience one has in a bar. Refreshingly, this was not the case due to Anthony ensuring we had the best night possible! Thank you Anthony for going above and beyond!
As a regular of this club, I am disappointed to say that following an incident last weekend, my friends and I will never be returning. The bouncers have unfortunately revealed themselves to be extremely patronizing, rude, and aggressive to those in the LGBTQ+ community and to those who express their queerness openly. This is absolutely shocking and repulsive behaviour, especially from one particular bouncer (middle aged, short, Asian), who humiliated my friend after speaking to him in a very condescending and nasty way when my friend was nothing but cooperative, understanding, and just a nice guy trying to have a fun night out. I would honestly suggest going to other similar clubs like AMPM, Big Trouble, or even bars like Midnight Market, where everyone is welcome and no one is treated in such a terrible way. I’ve read multiple reviews complaining about the bouncers’ behaviour and even a few specifically naming the middle aged Asian bouncer as having a history of aggressive behaviour. I hope something will be done about this so no one ever has to go through the experience my friend went through. 1/5 stars. If I could give zero I would.
Absolutely terrible experience. The bouncer was incredibly rude and clearly discriminating against visible queer folk in the line trying to get it. The behavior they displayed was absolutely unacceptable. My friends and I will never be returning.
This place has a great vibe. Very young crowd with high energy. The Dj was great, except he has no idea who peso pluma is. How in the world do you not know who the #1 artist is in Latin America and call yourself a DJ.he knocked bad bunny off the charts months ago and you don’t know? Toronto is diverse, and a melting pot of culture. He told me that no one at the club would know his music.this was hysterical. Dancing Bear was fun and different, Drinks were fine, bartenders were fast. Cool place if you are 18-23 and don’t know #1 billboard artist.
Always an awesome time at the Fifth! They have such a great team over there! In particular Steve, Des, Eddy, Ashley & Emma are amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and have a good time. This club is nothing but good vibes, you can always count on the Fifth for a great time! Definitely the best nightclub in Downtown, Toronto!
Let me start by saying Emma is such an asset to this location, I genuinely have never experienced service of this level. For starters contacting her was not mission impossible, she answered emails within the hours and calls and texts instantly, I genuinely don’t know how she does it. She truly made me feel like she cared about my event when I’m sure she also had 15 others going that night, she personally greeted us at the door, set us up and CONSTANTLY came and checked in on us. I truly have never experienced service like this at any bar or club (anywhere in the world) let alone Toronto. Making reservations on King st was an absolute nightmare, service was rude, staff was rude, emails would go unanswered etc. EMMA IS A ROCKSTAR. Did I mention it was also her birthday the night of my reservation and she still took care of us. She accommodated us bringing some cupcakes earlier in the day and brought them out. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better service provider. Now as for Fifth, the music was UNREAL, hip hop, rnb and top 40, that DJ was phenomenal! The club itself is spacious, so clean and such a good time! My group all decided this will be where we host future events! Thank you Emma and thank you the fifth
Went this past Saturday for a bachelorette party and it was such a wonderful experience - from security to staff, everyone was friendly, accommodating and fun, and the ambiance and music were awesome (perfect combo of dance/hip-hop/top 40/throwbacks). Emma was very easy to work with when we booked the booth and Sam and Brittany were great hosts! All of our girls had an amazing time. Would definitely go again, booth and all - the pizza that comes out at 1: 30 is the cherry on the cake.
What a transformation at the social club! Had a birthday celebration here and booked our own section. It was a memorable night and for all the good reasons. Emma was the most gracious host as usual and I love the new separate lounge set up. You really can feel safe within your own bubble. We appreciate the thoughtful details and safety measures put in place.
Music is consistently bad. Do their DJs never look up to notice no one is messing with their music? If it weren't for my friends dragging me there I would not recommend.
I've been to this club for the past two years and I can say that I have not had one positive experience. The music is a hit or miss. The club is overcrowded and security guards are rude. I would not recommend coming back unless you're willing to just to stand around and get harassed by security.
Waited in line for an hour just to find out it’s 21+. Bouncers did not inform anyone and just let everyone wait in line. They even lied to us claiming that they went down the line to inform people. Look for another club.
Had an amazing time here this past weekend at my bachelorette.
The staff went above and beyond to make our night a blast and also make us feel safe. Our booth was decorated with balloons and ring pops, sparklers were brought out, and our waiter was on top of everything.
Thank you fifth social for enhancing my bachelorette experience! I would definitely recommend for a special night out.
We were supposed to host an event here on April 24 which I cancelled within 14 days of booking due to COVID-19. I am contractually due a refund and have not received it, or any correspondence whatsoever, since Mid-March. DO NOT book events here.
**Warning - DO NOT reserve this venue for any events** my friends booked this venue for their wedding in Oct 2020. They took a massive deposit in advance of COVID and have not responded about the status of their wedding since March. They have been trying to contact them for months, and the venue will give them ZERO answers on the status of the wedding or what options they have given COVID restrictions. I get the pandemic has impacted businesses and i feel for them - but taking couple's money and not responding to them for months (especially when they have their patio open now) is horrendous. DO not book any events here!
Every time I come here, i leave with regrets and promise myself to never come back. Somehow I catch myself coming every Friday despite the poor music.i have a problem, pls send help
Nice club, drinks are expensive compared to other places. Girls can be pretty mean and way to easy at the same time (if you are there to pickup girls for one night stands)
Waited for over an hour in line in the freezing cold to be told that it was now 21+ and to get out of line. They didn’t let anyone in line know but claimed that they did, even though everyone saw them stay at the front the entire time. Absolutely ridiculous
This place is terrible. The bartenders will do anything for a tip and then when you don't tip them a generous amount they proceed to be incredibly rude. Wost experience I have ever had and I do not recommend coming here.
This was a night I'd like to say I will remember for the rest of my life. But unfortunately that is not the case. I had a really really awesome time so that I do not remember how good of a time I had for the rest of my life but I do remember something about everything important. The music was awesome the people were non-judgemental and a lot of fun to be around. And I always like it when people appreciate my style.the great garius friendly Entertainer and The Troop and not stick their nose up. Everyone getting done in and have a great time. This is the kind of place I like to be. Ask them to make you a drink of absinthe for me next time I'll make sure my managers holding bail$$$. Just kidding but not really lol.you'll have an awesome time. I hope I get to go back sometime. When I get a chance off tour. My dancers had fun here too. We were all having so much fun no one cared if we pulled off our wigs and got to Gettin Down for ourselves instead of for a show. It was such a fun night did I say that already? LOL you can see in the pictures I digress. What's new LOL great place! Super cool people. I was into what you were putting out and you guys were into what we were passing on. Together we were putting out awesome vibes.match made in heaven XOXO I'll be back. That's a threat) wink

Emma was very easy to work with when we booked the booth and Sam and Brittany were great hosts! All of our girls had an amazing time (and none of us love clubbing + some girls don't drink at all). Would definitely go again, booth and all - the pizza that comes out at 1: 30 is the cherry on the cake.
Worst club ever. Takes 20 cover on fridays. Kicks out people who are having a good time just before 2 hits so they can get rid of people. Do not go here. Really bad music and worst "security" confrontational and liars.
We recently had our office summer party at The Fifth & Terrace. Everyone had a wonderful time. They were able to accommodate our large group of 20 people without missing a beat. Maitre'd Andre and the rest of the staff added to the A+ service. Chef Didier's food was amazing. All of this combined to create a fabulous party atmosphere.
Beautiful place, the best service I’ve ever had and their staff is excellent. I had my wedding here and the planning and service staff made my day a complete success. I will remover them and my Day fondly for years to come. Thanks fifth!
I would give no stars if I could. The music and environment are fine but the employees here have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
We called ahead of time and were promised a package deal by Emma which included two bottles, a pizza and a complimentary bottle of champagne for $520 after tax and tip.
Once we arrived we were situated to our booth and we ordered, the server gave us our menu and along every step we asked multiple times if the bottles we were getting were included in our $520 package, she assured us multiple times that they were. At the end of the night we were slapped with a $1250 bill.
When we tried to say that the server assured us of the price, their response was the server didn't know that package existed. The server was also no where to be seen when we demanded she be present, likely because they knew she would have to lie. Emma, the women who advertised the deal in the first place was extremely disrespectful and smug. When I asked her personally to speak to someone of higher management she claimed she owned the club.
All in all the employees were incredibly unreasonable and disrespectful, it all felt like a scam. Emma is the single worst employee I have ever dealt with so if she ever offers you anything DO NOT take it.
We had a wonderful experience here. My boyfriend and i celebrated our anniversary and made a reservation for summerlicious. We were greeted and escorted from entry all the way to our table. Our server, ROB, was amazing who not only recommended good wine and food but always made sure that we were being looked after. The food was of course thoughtfully crafted and exceptional! We even had a mini surprise of a happy anniversary chocolate made by the staff which made our evening even more special. Overall, the experience was unlike any other restaurants and we are definitely coming back here!
We went when they were having the Summerlicious. It was a very nice experience for all of us (5). Great food, amazing service from the door entry, elevator& to our table service. We will definitely visit again.
Ate here for summerlicious. The food was top notch but the customer service from Rob and the rest of the staff was even better. They even gave us a small tour at the end of our dinner as we were the last people on a wednesday night. Will definitely come back again.
Appalled by the service that my friends and I received when we went to dine at the restaurant. Food was less than mediocre. We were seated at the very back with no fan or air conditioning on a very hot day, we didn’t think much of it since our waiter was nice. During dinner the waiter proceeded to tell us that we can access the club using the freight elevator after dinner and would not need to pay cover, all we have to do is inform the elevator operator. The elevator operator took us back to the lobby and insisted we stand in line and pay cover as the elevator entrance to the club was blocked “only for that day”. I proceeded to inform him that “it was unfair” he shrugged his shoulder and walked away with no care in the world. Luckily the bouncer outside heard me being annoyed and asked what I was angry about? When I told the bouncer about the elevator operator, the bouncer rolled his eyes and allowed us to bypass the line and enter the club. My friends and I didn’t pay to go to this restaurant to experience racism. None of us will be returning there for food, drinks or to go clubbing.
The line up is a bit too long, and the place is a little crowded. Went on a Friday night and felt very at home though. They have two entrances, and if you have to wait at the main entrance, it's not worth the time, you'll probably be sleepy by the time you get in. If you're able to use the second entrance, you can get in fairly quick, but you might not stay very long as the music as very loud, and it's hard to talk
As an Asian, friday nights are always a good time. I recommend getting bottle service, as it is well worth the money you put into it. You get a shorter line, free cover and ample alcohol when you get bottle service.
Dessert in the course menu was a joke. Supposed to chef’s surprise. It was just chocolate sauce in a cup with 6 pieces of fruits. No effort by the chef for sure. The service was good though.
Interesting rooftop patio. Cool antique elevator. Decor feels like a combo of a find dining restaurant and a tiki bar. Loads of service, escorts and helpers to get you where you need to go, andwhat you want. Food is simple and excellent. Some nice seafood. The chef and waiters are quite accommodating (i.e. Converting an entree into sharing plates.)
Music level is great too. You can talk quite easily. And if you want to dance, the club is right downstairs.
Great for a romantic date when PAI is too loud and crowded.
Ive been going to this nightclub for years and it is where i've spent most of my weekends. My friends and I always have the best time and have celebrated many special occasions here! Drink prices are extremely reasonable for the area, the staff is quirky, accommodating and very nice unlike some other places in Toronto that i've experienced. As an added bonus they give out free food at the end of the night. I would 100% recommend this establishment and suggest you check it out.
The guy in coat check was horrible, I simply asked him to please be careful with my coat, cuz I have my keys in it nicely, and he just threw my coat right back to me, and even threaten to throw me out? I know it’s a private property, but that’s how you treat a customer?
Great service and ambience Salmon tartare was magnif Roasted pear was delicious The duck was over cooked badly which made the overall experience average
So many great spaces for your wedding in this building with funky nooks - from the elevator to the rooftop patio. Such a gem in the city. When ever I Officiate a wedding there I am excited to see what room we are in! #torontoweddingifficiant #themarryinglady
Good place for a casual dinner or lunch. Prices are little high for what you get but as I said is a place for casual lunch or dinner. The alcohol beverage menu has some good options.
I attended an even that was hosted here. The attendants were very tidy, friendly, and made sure there weren't any dirty dishes laying out longer than 5 minutes. They were quite on top of things.
Received a venue tour from Andrey, he was professional, personable and knowledgeable, although we did not end up going with this venue I would have been very comfortable with Andrey managing the big day
So yummmy! The experience was great, building is old school but in a romantic good way. What we had was: the filet mignon with wine sauce, i forgot what kind of soup but its the best soup I’ve ever tasted lol. In addition to, we had the catch of the day fish and to end it off a pear dessert and a dark chocolate mousse cake. Now I’m not describing the dishes properly but its because its indescribable! Sooo good. Next time we have to come back and try the octopus i heard and was told if you were to try octopus for the first time that it should be here! So ill be back after i mentally prepare. The drinks we had was the god father i think it was called and the gin cocktail. It did the trick i should say! I was feeing nice:). I don’t know i can pretty much keeping going but i wont spoil it for you. I suggest you give it a try (Even the butter to the bread tastes good haha).
We had dinner at The Fifth with friends last night and lucky for us Chef Didier Leroy was working.his creations are amazing. We had an avocado salad with shrimp, followed by a salmon dish and then filet with foie gras. Service was impeccable thanks to Andrey and his team and the wine selection just made every dish that much better. An incredible evening and I can’t wait to go back again, and again and again. If you haven’t been to The Fifth Grill & Terrace.take someone special for a date night and you will not be disappointed.
Very rude bouncers, expect on having them to bribe with $50 if you are a person of colour. I was told my outfit did not match the dress code, which I understood (although I was wearing a collared shirt and chinos), and then had a white friend behind me get in a cardigan and jeans. When I asked how he was allowed in, I was told it was because I was under 21, even though my friend was also under 21. He then whispered that he needed a $50 bribe if I wanted in, at which point I refused.
Everyone looks good, the lighting and design is on point, surprisingly no lineup! Bar service was fast and friendly. You can hear people talk with the music at a perfect volume. Happy to spend the $20 cover at a venue like this.
The food and service was amazing! Best Filet I’ve had in a long time. Really nice restaurant. We were there for a girls night out but it would be a great place for date night. Will definitely go back when I’m in Toronto.
I fell in love with this venue after photographing a wedding here. Cool and eclectic decor with lots of places for great photos. Some of the best food I've had at a wedding and I go to A LOT lol.
