The Flatiron: A Firkin Pub

The only thing good is the atmosphere of the beautiful building and outside patio. Food is not good at all.

Service here can be lacking, especially on weeknights or if you sit a bit ways away from the entrance. Location is great though.

Had to order twice to get service. Took them 30 mins to get us our initial drinks. Service was very slow. Nacho chips should be changed, not good quality. Had to wait for long time for sever to come out and order other drink. Painfully slow service. They didn't also clear the table after the food was done. Even the next table was not cleared after 3 hours after customers left.

Looks like the server was new and needed more training. May be they needed a bus boy. Not recommend for food. Only for patio on a nice day for drinks.

Best mojito I've ever had! And unexpectedly excellent pub fare! And being in the basement of the flatiron building, you can't get better atmosphere.

Fries were good as was the French onion soup although I don’t think Swiss cheese was used. Chicken fingers were dry and overdone. The music was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation. Not super friendly waitresses either. Would I go back? Probably not. Also there was NO toilet paper in either stall.

Can make the cocktails that they recommend.was disappointing. Staff was very friendly tho.

This pub is really good. I wish I got something else rather than wings (not because the wings were bad, the other food looked really good)

Love the exterior of the building. I always wondered what was inside and to my delight a restaurant was underneath!

The food was fantastic, the servers were so friendly, and it was nice quiet atmosphere.

Options to sit outside or inside where the decor is British Invasion with lots of screens playing sports.

Excellent food, made with obvious care; a standard Firkin menu with some minor twists that made it particularly appealing. Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive without being intrusive. Hannah and Eduardo especially stood out - they were the kind of staff that make you loyal to a restaurant for a long time. The patio was comfortable and well organized.

Sat on the patio - great pub - server was attentive and the table was bear the street so we felt the downtown vibe of people coming and going

Tried to sit down for a drink in the afternoon, patio wasn’t too busy. Sat down quick, but then took 20+ minutes to get a server to come over. After asking repeatedly, to which we were told “let me grab your server now”, we still couldn’t get served. Tables who sat down well after we did were getting their orders taken and their drinks served. After 20 minutes or so, we just got up and left. Didn’t even get our order taken. I’m not expecting the red carpet rolled out, but even the bare minimum was too much to ask. Very disappointed.

Always a good place to hang out with some friends or coworkers! I highly recommend their VIP platter as it gives you all the best stuff on their snack menu. My friends also really enjoyed the nachos! If you don't drink alcohol, they don't really have a lot of options besides a regular soda. Service was good but a little bit slow!

Went yesterday for lunch.
Asked if they would move an umbrella from the closed section to the open section.

Nice play to enjoy a beer and have fun with friends, beer is not expensive and they put soccer games sometimes

Classic pub vibes. Being in downtown Toronto, the location attracts a great crowd of people.

Food there in general is nothing to write home about but gets the job done.if you decide to come in winter, the cozy spot compliments the warm food.

Servers are great and polite. Some are even outgoing so a good conversation always happens at the bar whether your are extroverted or not.

Overall great place for a stopover between errands or appointments for anyone passing through.

First time there.absolutely LOVED IT! Great food, great friendly service. Excellent location, nice menu and ambience.
