It was a bit of wait, Mac and cheese was ok I can’t lie the SHRIMP was good my husband said the lobster could of had bit more meat prices was high was expecting more of a higher expectation maybe two instead of one tail would of been better for the price but food was ok

I travelled from Oshawa to get the lobster Mac and cheese it was worth the trip. I also enjoyed the salmon.yummy!:) will definitely go again.

As a seafood lover I was dying to try this place for a while now also I will always support a black business but after waiting over an hour for my food after being told it would take 20min to half hour I was completely disappointed in my meal. Shrimp had no flavour and my lobster tail wasn't great but probably the best thing in the meal don't get me started on the lobster Mac n cheese was tasteless and bland. Very disappointed for my first time there and definitely will be the last.expected better

This is a review for the owner because I want to see this place win. If your business is at a point where it’s making a profit please invest in a restaurant management/operations consultant to advice on how you can create a sustainable model. The #1 complaint among all reviews is the wait. Part of eating out is about convenience and it was super inconvenient to wait 90min after being told 25mins. What restaurant do you go to and wait 1-2 hrs just to get your food? I could understand if there was a crazy line or limited seating for dine in but there was only 4-6 customers waiting before I ordered. It also seems the food quality varies depending on how busy it is which should never be. I got the 222 and 555. The shrimp was tasty but a bit soggy once I got home. The henny bbq wings were delicious (also soggy), I’d pick those over wild wings any day but the combo comes with Mac n veggies (which was one singular piece of broccoli). There is also no way the Mac I had today was the same others rave about. It was bland and dry, I couldn’t even eat it which was very disappointing. The lobster was well seasoned but was cold and not cooked well. I waited almost 1 year to try this place in hopes the social media frenzy wouldn’t impact the experience. Hopefully I’ll be able to give this place a 2nd chance one day but based on my first visit I could see it being my last.

The owner is so helpful, she's very professional, the food is so great, you have to try the cakes and the juices as well

Wow! Pictures say a thousand words but Lawd, this place was highly disappointing. I am not going into detail critiquing the entire business setup, but I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of food and service. Not only was the food stale, basically cold and partially the wrong order. I ordered Rasta pasta (after taste testing the Mac, and saying No to it… they still packed it with Mac n cheese instead -which I discovered when I got home). The wings were dry and they barely flavored them with the sauce I asked for.
All the hype I had going there after drooling over their well put together pics, quickly soured by the poor experience from beginning till end. $50+ later for a meal that was barely touched and thrown down the trash. Whoever owns this needs to refocus on their business and optimize it for a better customer experience from online, phone and in person experience.

Came early, yet was told no lobster chunks for lobster mac n cheese. Instead ordered the 555 (no idea of the rhyme or reason for the strange numbers they use on the menu) Lobster was too salty to eat. Mac n cheese was good- wasn’t traditional southern Mac n cheese, but at least they were generous with the cheese. (again, *salty* but at least it wasn’t dry or boring) Corn on the cob was just the tip, and one small piece of broccoli. You can only pay cash or e-transfer. I went in excited after seeing an IG post about this place. Not too excited anymore. They are too heavy-handed with the Caribbean season salt they pour over everything.

I heard about The G Spot from IG, so I had to try their food. I had the wings and shrimp combo and it was absolutely Delicious. I told my daughter about it so she tried it as well, she was Not impressed at all. I'm not sure what happened when she went but she was very upset with her order, she paid over $50 and only got 5 wings a drink and piece of cake. The staff and owner may want to pay more attention and try to maintain consistency she waited a long time for her food and the restaurant was Not busy. I will try their food again.

Update: upon looking at further reviews recently someone was apparently violently sick in the hospital from eating the food. Be careful if you choose to eat here with your 1 piece of broccoli and corn (see photo reviews)

I stand by what I said about the owner being unprofessional as seen from anyone who recently has left a 1 star review.

Wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you want to be sick.

Take out time on food is extremely slow and inconsistencies with how food is portrayed online vs what you get.

This was awesome! The Mac n Cheese very good, fried shrimp seasoned and fried perfectly and great Hennessy bbq wings! Will definitely order again!

2 hrs for the smallest pizza yo never going back and I don’t recommend you waste your time money or energy going to this place trust me

I got so sick! And the customer service is trash! I was in the hospital for 3 days after eating this food. The customer service was horrible and they swore at me. Really unprofessional and rude. So much better options in the area!

Update: As you can see from the owners response, she is very unprofessional and accuses people of lying. I guarantee more people will continue to get sick eating this woman’s food. Learn customer service and proper etiquette.

I’ve never left a review before but after visiting this restaurant I had to! When first walked in we were greeted by young a lady (I can’t remember her name) but very friendly. We had a difficult time figuring out what to order and she helped us decide. A young man then came out and greeted us as well and told us about the blue velvet cake which I got and was amazing! The wait was about 20-30 mins and the food was delicious! Very savoury, flavourful and well cooked. It’s very disheartening seeing all the negative reviews because we had such a great experience and it’s close by my house so I will definitely be going back!

Food was absolutely Phenomenal. Great selection and price point! Very flavourful, fresh and the portion was plentiful. Presentation was very appealing and everything was put together well! You can see the food was made with love! The Gspot did not disappoint at all! Angie (the owner) was so sweet, pleasant and had OUTSTANDING customer service. This restaurant is a MOST and should be on your list for your next lunch or diner selection! Thank me later!

Fantastic food, and great pricing. Couldn't even finish, the combo 333 filled me up good! Small place, personalized service. Word of advice though, patience is required as good food needs time to be made. Definitely will be back.

Creative menu. Food was good, but should not have ordered the lobster. Otherwise, great place to try, they put alot of work and love into the food.

Got the lobster, shrimp, Mac n cheese combo. I waited 90 minutes for cold mac n cheese that they just have pre-made at the front, 5 shrimps with absolutely no flavour, 1 steamed broccoli and lobster. I’ll be honest the lobster was tasty and I liked it but everything else was sooooo bad. It’s really not worth it. 90 minutes for food that was this quality is ridiculous.

Anyways take ur money somewhere else or make it urself I’m pretty sure ur gonna do a better job. I have no idea how this place is rated 4 starts this is a joke.

The food was so good! I tried the Combo 333 and it was delicious! I can’t wait to try the lobster next time! The customer service amazing! The staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable!
