Homestead took over my building last year and I cant even begin to tell all they ways they take advantage of tenants to reap their own benefit. When they took over I lost access to services, they downgraded things like the laundry rooms by taking away the sinks, chairs, and installing lower quality washers, they started charging for utilities whiled raising rent prices. Cheaper lighting to save them money, cheap decor. The Grosvenor gate building used to be a place that was known for being luxury but most importantly felt like home. Homestead has turned it into a cheap apartment that offers bear minimum and is constantly inconveniencing it’s Tenants. So if you don’t mind the water constantly being shut off, or no power from 9 to 5, and no access to heat in your apartment, and constant other violations like construction noise past the legal time, then rent away, but I urge you to read other reviews on homestead and you will find these are common themes with all their buildings so please look elsewhere, I know I am, and this was my home for 6 years and a great location for me, but I can’t deal with them anymore, it’s exhausting.

Homestead has to be the most evil and inept housing corporation in the city. I am so incredibly mad and upset by how they have treated the residents at 1 Grosvenor ever since they took over that I can't bring myself to relive everything to type it down. Suffice it to say that they are disgusting, untrustworthy and incompetent. Stay away at all costs!
