AMAZING nachos, burgers and fries. Super cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Amazing vintage aesthetic. Staff were very attentive, sweet and kind! Highly recommend!

What happened to this place?
It used to be a great vibe here. Now it looks like a hoarder moved in. There's junk in the bar and on the patio.the building looks run down. Needs some TLC BAD.some potential still there.

Fantastic service and very unique decor inside.
Would highly suggest to swing by for a drink at this local place. Not many open now a days.

The Gem is maybe my favourite Toronto bar, but don't expect anything fancy. If you like your bars divey and unpretentious, this is the place.

Groovy little neighbourhood gem. Cool tunes, easy-going service. Relatively limited menu, but big servings at reasonable prices. Nice place for a coffee/catch up with a friend (s) as well as to canoodle with a romantic interest. Sun-bathed, western-exposure patio with a lush garden of flowers during the warmer months. Definitely a cool place for locals but out of the downtown fray.
"The Gem" is an apt name.

Great ambiance and reasonably priced drinks. I think they might need a new fridge because the beer I ordered wasn't particularly cold.

Great spot! We were randomly in the area and wanted to grab a late bite on a Monday evening, and this was close by. Super quaint space and great food. I had the club sandwich and my husband had the burger. We'd definitely go back!

Terrific food, comfortable service and vinyl on the turntable result in a casual, hip vibe. Legit, as the kids say.

Great local watering hole. The indoor space is a bit on the small side, but in the summer the patio really opens things up.

Great unique atmosphere, swinging 60s music. Place is stuffed with interesting Knick knacks. Beer selection is ok but not the reason you’d come here. Tex mex food is decent value, big portions.

A cozy neighbourhood watering hole good for conversation or reading a book with your pint. Nice that they let you bring in paninis from Dante’s next door.

Just had brunch at the Gem on Sunday and so glad we did, we live in the 'hood and have been by for drinks etc.but they have a solid brunch at a very good price, and wonderful service! Will be back to sit on the big patio for brunch soon.

Lots of Parking. A little too expensive. Great service great food. They even have fresh fruit bowl dish

The food and beer good but they played some of my favorite records on an honest-to-goodness turntable sitting on the bar.

Loved the Atmosphere. And the food was pretty good. The waitress was super friendly and music just the right volume.

Not too big at all but don't let that deter you! A true "gem" of a place, as perfect for the greaser or pin-up queen in your life as it is for the Tex-Mex cuisine enthusiast. Happy Days meets craft beer. No two-tone shoes required.

Nice little no attitude neighbourhood bar. Good selection of beers and the food is actually the best part of it. I usually have nachos which have a pile of fixings. My new neighbourhood bar.
