We were a party of 11 celebrating a friend's birthday. Services and food were excellent.

Ordered fish and chips, and a Yorkie bowl. Both were delicious. Great service and ambience. Nothing to criticize honestly. If I want to be a little picky I'd say it's a bit pricey. We paid almost 100$ for two ppl having ordered two meals and two drinks. No apps or desserts.so yeh a bit pricey. But all in all a great place to dine in.

Love this place, best fish and chips and the staff are always great. This visit we also enjoyed dessert, carrot cake and white chocolate cheese cake.

Love the beer battered haddock, the portion is big, the sticky toffee pudding and Andrew, our server. A must when in ottawa

Had the 2 fish and chips dinner. One piece beer battered and the other curry breaded. The portion was absolutely huge and both pieces were fantastic. Ordered a side salad which was simple but very fresh and excellent as well. Finished off with a piece of their lemon cheesecake, and it to was very tasty. Very impressed and wasn't quite expecting such a great experience. Will return for sure when I'm up here in Ottawa.

Been there dozen times food is always good and employees are friendly and efficient. Thanks for the great food

May 17,2023 - A 15 person post burial gathering at this wonderful restaurant. It was 3pm. We made a reservation many days in advance. June, the Manager, contacted me the day before to confirm, well done June.
Everything was wonderful; from the many, many staff who coordinated to serve us food, to our dear young man who took our orders (apologies, forgot his name). It was a big gathering, with much food and beverages. Everyone was happy and well beveraged and fed.
We took my late father to The Glen many times in his late years and he loved the Scottish brogue, so of course, this would be where his post burial would occur.
Blessings on all the dear staff and owners of this amazing venue. May you all thrive.

By far the best and most authentic scottish restaurant in all of Ottawa, the food is great and come in large portions.

I had the chicken curry pastry pie, I recommened the fish and chips as thats what their known for.

Great selection of both Scottish and Irish beers. The menu is full of delicious and traditional Scottish appetizers and main menus, amongst the regulars you'd find in a pub. Their service is always very welcoming, like going to your family's house for lunch.

Love the food, the staff are cool. Happy to see familiar faces when I came in, the owner is as awesome as ever.

Went the other day with my girlfriend and got the Cajun Fish sandwich with a poutine and wow it was amazing one of my favourite sandwiches I’ve ever had and the service was amazing as well!

The good: service was excellent and the quality of the fish was also excellent.

The not so good: expensive and there's better tunes for bagpipes than hearing amazing grace and auld Lang syne a couple time each. 3.5/5

I love this place. The scotch eggs are great, the prices are fair and the service is friendly. They hold lots of great events.

On our 3rd or 4th return it's still a great place. Fast service, the Bartender knows how to make a Black and Tan, fish is good, the mini pies are good, but I'm always gonna recommend those scotch eggs.

Pretty good food. The mango chicken was ok, the fruit was not super ripe but kind of expected in the winter. The meat pies were good and crunchy with a nicely seasoned filling.

Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well organized.

Fish is fine, but nothing is worth the inflated prices over a basic pub including the fish. $9 kids meal with literally what looked and tastes exactly like Kraft Dinner (I really think it actually was). Plus the only option of a drink for the kids meal is pop! I asked if she could have milk but they won't include that even though they have it. So inappropriate!

If it's your first time here you have to try the battered fish and chips. So authentic. Really friendly staff and great service.

The food was tasty, but the veggie pot pie could have been more heartier (personal opinion but would've subbed the edamame/red pepper for peas/mushrooms/chickpeas/cauliflower).

Overall, we had a good experience and our server was so kind and helpful, so would definitely recommend and return.

Also, heard that they may be bringing more veggie options in the future (like vegetarian gravy for the poutine)! So that's something to look out for next time:)

Ordered the chicken sandwich which I understand isn't their thing, also asked for no spice which means just no sauce at all.just be warned if you want a chicken sandwich that isn't spicy just don't get it here, go for the fish and chips instead.

Great food! The fish is outstanding! Awesome staff - so friendly and welcoming:) Definitely worth a visit.

Just moved to the area and tried The Glen around 2pm on a Wednesday. I was SO surprised by this place! The staff I met were easily the warmest and most welcoming I've ever encountered, so cheery and enthusiastic. I tried my first ever Scotch Egg. It was quite good, the house-made tomato marmalade was odd yet it worked well with it. I really don't know much about Scottish cuisine, but I had thought a Scotch Egg was supposed to be runny yolk'd and unpierced, this one was hard yolk'd and sliced in half - a nice presentation. The Yorkie Pie was phenomenal, it's gravy was top notch. Entirely satisfied with this place, I expect I will return many times. Give it a try.

Great food, great staff, and a great taste of home. Highly recommend if you want the best fish & chips in town.

As others have mentioned, solid fish and chips. Lots of beer on offer on tap. Would definitely return to try some of the other fish dishes.

Went in for beer and wings but ended up have the best fish and chips we have had in the Ottawa area!

Wish we lived closer! Lunch was spot on. Service was top notch and everything was fresh, homemade and delicious.

I went here with my sister a few days ago.we ordered the chicken sandwiches for a lack of anything better to get, along with some nachos.the nachos were pretty well made, but the chicken sandwiches were.just too sloppy and not good.we were asked if we wanted it spicy, but still got buffalo chicken sandwiches.another review mentions fries.well its not just that theyre thick cut (i like thick cut fries every now and then) but they tasted of raw potato in the middle.the sangrias were great.maybe a bit too strong for a tasty casual drink, but perfect for enjoying a nice buzz.overall: restaurant and pub.please improve the food

Great little place with a Scottish charm, they have built an outdoor space including social distancing measures but you can still watch a soccer game. Good customer service.

Covid measures in place, was clean and safe. Can eat outside in tented area. New location is nice with plenty of parking. Food and service was great! Best battered fish and scotch eggs!

Delicious fish n chips, Scottish style. A pillar in the community and COVID safe, The Glen is always worth the trip for a pint Nx their generous, delicious portions. Finish it off with their homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Great recommendations for beverages and their dill pickles are something you need to try. Calling all dill lovers, you've found a great spot for your taste buds!

Starting with the good.service was great and servers were very friendly.
Cons: Fish was overdone and dry and was plated with burnt side down, so we wouldn't notice. I didn't really like the thick cut fries, but everybody has their own preference for the thickness of fries. I didn't complain to servers because they were so nice. Will not return here.at least not for the fish.

Awesome casual dining restaurant that serves Scottish fare. The scotch eggs were perfect. Crispy crunchy outside with soft egg on the inside, along with the tomato marmalade, just perfect. The haggis was creamy and had a hint of pepperiness. They had tasty neeps as a side (mashed up turnip mixed with carrots). It is a location I am very happy to share and will be returning to the Glen for these hearty classics!

Yesterday we visited the restaurant and we had really good experience with the food, beer and the customer service (the Waiter name was Ross) we recommend 100% this place.

Ordered the Battered Fish and Chips. To quote the owner " our orginal fish for over 30 years" it was RAW, batter still runny inside. Disappointed!

Fish and chips were over burnt, however, manager apologised and gave a discount on bill. Nice place for fish and chips and pitcher beer.

Amazing! Delicious food, good service, cozy atmosphere. We "dropped in" for lunch with our entire immediate family of 11 people on Sunday and they didn't even blink! An all round enjoyable event. Can't wait to go again.

This place is amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly servers and a great mix of traditional Scottish fare and regular pub food. Great beer selection. Also has a lunch menu on weekdays. Can't go wrong with this place!

This little Scottish gem just outside of Ottawa is a treat! Outside of Scotland, probably the best Haggis I have ever eaten with neeps and mashed. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere amazing. Definitely will return.

Service was good (and was very busy), Food was excellent.one of the better liver and onions plate I have tasted and always a good selection of beer.

Not bad burger, fries were almost cold and it's loud, thanks to the music and everyone shouts over. The place was packed on a Saturday night, so I guess it's a neighborhood favourite.

This pub has been running with the same name for over 30 decades and has some of the greatest foods you could possibly ever love there nachos and burgers are tasty with nice and flavoursome fries and the fish is to die for if your in the area and want some Scottish cuisine then stop by at the glen you won't regret it

Went for lunch. The famous fish supper portion is huge. Lemon citrus and pepper is very tasty and light.

We live downtown so the idea of going all the way to essentially Stittsville for a meal didn't sit well. We heard that the fish and chips were worth the trip so off we went. We found out at the last minute that the 417 was closed so that caused a little more aggravation to the trip than expected but we eventually got there. The fish part was more than worth the trip the chips I could have done without. I had the fish done in heavy beer batter and it was great. The batter was crisp and the fish was light and cooked properly. They have to definitely work on their chips. The bartender knows how to pour a Guinness. If I was in the area I would definitely stop for the fish. When they improve the chips I would make the trip again. The service was great I wish I could remember the name of the wait person because she was great.

Very busy! Service lacked a little, but that's of course do to how busy they were.

Prices were reasonable, except for the pinot wine. One glass 15$? Thought that was a little pricey!

Date night Thursdays is excellent value. Food is excellent with on the full menu a large variety to choose from, including vegan and vegetarian options, including the Beyond Burger! Server was attentive and pleasant. A job well done, as usual.

July 16th, was my husband's birthday. We made reservations for a party of four. As we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. Nice ambiance, and the background music was good. Our server was Kat. OMGoodness Kat's customer service and interpersonal skills were outstanding.her smile, her humour, engaging in conversation. We were not rushed at any point in time to order. Among us we had the Taco wrap, Fish & salad, breaded zucchini, clam chowder soup. The food was excellent! Will recommend to our family & friends.

Went a year ago, food and service were great.

Went again yesterday, service was appalling, when I asked to see the manager, she was rude too. Food was okay, but today we are both feeling ill.

Excellent food, reasonably priced, and great service! Food is served fresh, hot, and delicious! We'll definitely return.

Nice clean organized restaurant. We sat outside. We both had Scotch Meat pies. They were quite different to those served at Muir's in Maxville, which are very very similar to those you find in Scotland. Meaning, they were lacking the flavour. Nutmeg. The pastry is also different but nonetheless tasty. The french fries were really good. I will return and try their haggis!

The food was very good. Nice size portions. Quickly prepared. Service was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Only downside was the clam chowder, while tasty, was closer to a soup than a creamy chowder. Otherwise, no complaints.

Great service, beer, and authentic Haggis. This place is probably my favourite place to go when I’m craving Haggis. Haggis.

They have an advertised 20% discount for first responders on Wednesdays so we made a point of going yesterday for lunch, discount doesn't apply for a bowl of clam chowder (not even the large $14 bowl) because its not a 'meal'. Great soup, server was lovely, business sense: 0/10. On the $10 soup it would have been a $2 discount. Will not be back.

If your looking for excellent fish and chips, this is by far the best quality in the Valley. The fish is weighed so portions are generous, and comes in battered, breaded and poached. Nice variety of cold draft, friendly service, Scottish decor.

Their fish and chips are always amazing. If you are on the fence about your style I recommend the McConville. Their breaded fish is fantastic in a sandwich the next day if it survives that long.
