Great atmosphere with a great view of the water. Fish tacos were to die for. The kids meal was a good portion. Highly recommend getting one of their Moscow mules.

Where do I start? It’s like they brought the East Coast to Fergus. If you like seafood, or just great food in general (with giant sized portions), this is the place for you. Luv, luv, luv this place. I never give restaurants 5 Star reviews, but this is the exception. Go now, don’t delay

Went here for dinner tonight for the first time with my family, and we are honestly very disappointed with the customer service we received. My fiance ordered the Newfie steak and when the waitress brought our food to the table we realized that he had been given something completely different he hadn't ordered. We were all starving and didn't want to wait any longer for his actual correct meal to be prepared so he decided just to eat it anyway. When we received the bill, rather than the waitress wanting to make the situation right for us, my fiance was still charged for the meal that he didn't even order in the first place. He asked if the price could be corrected to the meal he was supposed to order which ended up only being a dollar difference anyways. He didn't expect to walk out with a free meal but it could have at least been discounted due to the inconvenience. Any good and proper restaurant establishment would have handled that situation very differently. Ruined our experience and we won't be returning.

Food is amazing, excellent service, will come back for sure, Fish and chips are Outstanding, as is the poutine, My Girlfriend love the Fish Tacos. Looking forward to the next time we come to Fergus.

Their pork burger is 100% win. Super nice service everything was great and the atmosphere is so nice and relax.

The staff and service were just a great experience.if you are ever in the area and you are from Newfoundland, you want to see the inside. It's awesome. Should have taken pics.next time for sure!

I have to be honest, we didn't get to eat here! We were looking for this well recommended restaurant, yet as a first time visitor to Fergus, I found a few other restaurants before landing at the Goody Newfie. Although we were stuffed, we did walk in, look around, check out the menu, bar, and felt the cool vibe of the ambience. Oh man, we wished we weren't so full already. Heaping plates of wraps, burgers, salads wow, everything looked outstanding. Goofy Newfie, I will return! Destination, Fergus ON, OVER the bridge! Cheers, Spicy Jan

During the out door season you can not beat the outdoor patio! It over looks the Grand river falls beautiful. We generally stop here for beer and food During our Elora to Belwood bike ride. Last time we had the nachos. Soon quality but very expensive and small portion. We had to pay $8 to get beef added and it was a very small amount. We paid $26 for the nachos and have to say the most expensive we have ever had for the quality and size.

By far the best lobster roll I’ve ever had! The food was amazing, the patio over looking the river is beautiful, the restaurant inside has a great east coast vibe and the service is amazing! Highly Recommend!

We found this place by chance and we're glad we did. Amazing views from the patio along with great food and service. I had the Newfie Steak sandwich and my wife the Haddock and Chips. My sandwich was excellent and the Balogna was about an inch thick and cooked perfectly. My wife's fish and chips were excellent too. We will definitely be returning.

Food was great. Service good. The down side was watching how many people after at least twenty minutes standing there. Unacknowledged. Looking at an empty table. Left.

Great food, nice atmosphere. Not "pub" people but get there early enough and it doesn't feel like a pub. Fish and burger were excellent. Very difficult / confusing to find by "Waze". Once you realize where it is it's easy.

My son and I went for lunch and it was really good. The only issue was that the bees were pretty crazy on the patio. We were warned though. Lol. Wings special is on Thursday at $10 per pound (7 wings). Lobster poutine was good
