Such a wonderful place you could ever visit!
Honestly, it was our first time visiting this absolutely amazing place from the moment we got to the reception and a lovely lady greeted us with a huge smile and professional manner, then our stay, the environment, the food I mean overall just everything was great.

Thank you for everything guys we had an unforgettable and memorable time there.

I've stayed here twice now (Fall and summer) and really enjoyed it in both seasons. Beautiful location, comfortable rooms and a great little getaway. Very close to Parry Sound where we enjoyed the Island Queen cruise and spending time at Bearly used books.

Nice place to stay. We did our first kayaking here. Not crowded, clean rooms. However, you can hear people walking upstairs which is not a comfortable experience at night.

I want to preface this by saying that my in laws have had a place on otter lake for the last 30+ years. I also worked as a waitress at many establishments for 10 years. We have been to tapatoo on many occasions with different owners over the years. There have been times the food and or service wasn’t very good but I have never felt the need to leave a review until tonight.

I phoned a few hours in advance to make a reservation for 5 people 3 adults 2 kids. This was no issue and we got in for 630.we arrived and we were the only table in the restaurant by 620. Our order went in by 630 and then 2 tables of hydro workers showed up who were staying at the hotel.
At this time the kitchen decided to skip our already ordered meal including the kids meals and make the hydro tables their food instead.we waiting for over an hour for our appetizer and kids food and then at 1.5 hours we left without ever getting our main dishes.
The waiter apologized over and over but no effort was made to get our meals out. It was absolutely horrible service and a terrible policy to skip meals ordered first for people staying on the resort. This restaurant is a joke and we won’t be back.

The Grand Tappattoo Resort was exactly what i had hoped for.with inclusive recreational amenities, excellent pool, sauna, and rooms were very well kept & presented.the staff was very helpful & inviting when booking my accommodations.very pleased with my stay & absolutely will be visiting again.thankyou everyone at the tappattoo resort.

Have gone here for years and took a drive up for lunch and arrived to see the place has gone through some very nice updates. Lunch was better than ever with fantastic service and one of the best views in Ontario.

Stayed May 2023. Not busy. Beautiful location. Rooms are average, but comfortable with a gas fireplace. Clean. Great views of the water. Pool was heated and clean. Restaurant hall was very enjoyable overlooking the water, food was fantastic and reasonably priced! Wish they had a hot tub but overall worth driving off the main highway.

Absolute delight right on the lake shore. Wonderful staff, great amenities, swimming pool was indoor and big with sauna and shower facilities.
Rooms were spacious and all with a lake facing balcony. Breakfast wasn't that big enough but curated in a way that everyone found something.
Location of this resort takes it home! Panoramic views of lake excellent for Kayaking and canoeing!

Had a great experience at the resort. The reception staffs were polite and friendly. The room I stayed was recently renovated and it was so clean. I was satisfied with their food and other services except wifi. I didn’t get wifi for a whole day. Other than that, it was amazing. I would highly recommend this resort.

We had a last minute getaway. Thank you to Matt & Jesus who served us for our meals. The scenery and amenities were fantastic.
A true gem

This place is must visit and we go every year in Summer! Private beach, great breakfast and awesome view and staff!

The location is impeccable, so is the view. I wish I could have the same opinion about the resort. Walls are paper thin and noisy neighbors can make it hard. Fireplace didn't work during the first day and I requested them to send someone to check. Nada. Nothing happened during the entire stay I had. You do get a bare minimum breakfast. I would rather prefer to drive to city for lunch and dinner.

My family just got a membership to use the pool and sauna. The pool is clean and warm, sauna is HOT! Very nice.

First off I will say that the tall curly haired gentleman (sorry we didnt grab your name) at the front desk when we arrived Friday March 3rd 2023 room was absolutely great, outstanding customer service and as friendly and professional as you could ever want or need. Our server at our last breakfast on the Sunday named Hannah was also fantastic at her job.
Now the room looked great very updated and has a very comfortable cozy feel with a pretty great view for the most part, however our shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and there was some foood from a previous guest left in our fridge. The walls and ceilings are paper thin, to the point we could hear every step, movement, snoring neighbor and even bathroom use in great detail so privacy is withheld to line of sight only. The lodge plays music quite loudly for most of the day which you can hear in your room even with doors and windows shut so if your looking for a quiet place this isn't it. It's also snowmobile season so between the hourly train whistles from the near by tracks and the snowmobile hiway and guests reving engines right outside your room balcony there's quite the competition for you ears attention. The dinners were really good but the service is minimal. Breakfast is not good at all, powdered eggs, reheated bacon, stale bread and hit and miss buffet options where food ran out but you also can't just get there earlier because you have to make reservations and book a time that is available. We ended up with a coffee mug on the last breakfast with somebody else's lipstick still on the mug which was taken away by our server immediately when we brought it to her attention, and we could tell she was trying to look into how it happened but she seemed to be dismissed by management pretty quickly. I'm not sure if you have to request room service but we were not told that was a requirement and we didn't receive any other than when we asked for some more towels to be dropped off. The hall way our room was in had debris and dirt on the floor the entire weekend without receiving any housekeeping attention of any kind, so I'mnot sure there is much other than at room tirnover time after checkout. The morning we left it appeared that the plow that cleared the parking lot had clipped two vehicles parked near ours even breaking the light cover of one vehicles tail lights and scratching the rear passenger sides of the two. All in all I don't know we would come back which is a shame because the potential of this location and services are top notch and could easily be a must stay location in the entire surrounding area. I would only come back if the prices were much lower to account for the shortcomings or if the quality of the services rose to meet its value and potential. Cheers!

I can’t believe that I didn’t find this beautiful place sooner. After our first visit in September this place definitely became a favorite for us. We just spent another amazing weekend there with 13 of our friends and everyone loved it. (Some not to fond of the stairs) Thanks to Heather at the front desk for going above and beyond to make this visit fabulous for us. I hope that the owners realize how truly lucky they are to have her. She’s not the only one that contributed to our amazing weekend. All the staff there were so helpful and always had a big smile on their face even though they were clearly understaffed. Our servers Hannah and Jesus were unbelievable and Julian at the front desk was such a pleaser. Our rooms were clean and any issues were handled promptly. We are already planning our next visit to this awesome resort.
The only flaw in this resort is that they are definitely understaffed. When I mentioned how hard everyone worked and how understaffed they were to the Sales Manager Susan she pretty much said that she didn’t care. She also had one of the hardworking staff that I spoke of earlier in tears. I definitely didn’t get a good vibe from Susan and maybe the owners need to look in to her management skills.

Joined a group for dinner and will definitely return. The New York Strip steak was the best I have enjoyed in the Parry Sound area. The manager was welcoming and really cared that our group had a fantastic evening. The new team has definitely made a huge difference and look forward to returning with my family.
