Omg one of the best Gyros I've ever had and the portions are absolutely HUGE! Couldn't believe the weight of my gyro I was shocked lol!

Gave this place a try today. The food is good, decent portion. $19.90+tax for the chicken souvlaki dinner. The only thing that put me off a bit was it was just after 7pm, closes at 8: 30 and they only had enough rice for 1 more meal when I needed to order 2 meals. Even with more customers through the door they didn't want to make more. Personally i think they could have at least offered and said it would be a 20+ minute wait to make more to make me feel as though i had a choice. So I had to order a 2nd meal elsewhere.
One suggestion I'd make as I saw this was a complaint amongst reviews would be instead of charging $1 fee for credit card purchases is to incorporate it into the food price or only charge if below a set dollar amount (example: purchases made under $25 or $30 are subject to an additional credit card fee). That is just from a business marketing perspective.

I love eating here. You will always be welcomed by the chefs and you taste the love they put into their brand. Amazing amazing amazing

Food had good flavor. Portion size was average for the cost.

The store looked clean and tidy.

Where i struggle are the fees.
$1 - Credit Card/MC. OK, I'll use debit.
Then i was charged 95c for "Eat-In" fee.

This boggles my mind as the eat-in plate was served on glass dishes with plastic cutlery. This means that if i ordered takeout, that would be packaged in additional containers, costing the restaurant more money. I would not be charged a fee?

The food is good. But the fees leave a sour taste!

The owners are super very hard workers that try to please their customers. I always enjoy their food and would highly recommend this place. The servings are very generous and the food tastes great.

You must eat here! BEST chicken shawarma dinner! The salads are great too! Also the portions are HUGE! I would recommend this place to anyone! Also the staff are so FRIENDLY!

My husband and I LOVE this place! It quickly became our favourite place to eat. The food is consistently good. We have ordered a ton of times and yet to have a bad experience. The shawarma poutine is incredible and the portions are enormous.

My new favourite Greek restaurant in Hamilton. One of my overall favourite restaurants for take out. Their portions are huge, so great value for the cost and its delicious. Their Baklava is amazing. Super sweet. But that’s a plus for me. The Greek salad is full of veg/toppings. The Gyro dinner is always stuffed to the point that they can barely close the lid. The staff has also always been incredibly friendly whenever we have picked up.

This greek restaurant in Hamilton is so good! I definitely recommend ordering from here. Some of the best greek food I've had. Will order from here again!

I have been here a few times and specialty when my wife was pregnant and she was craving Greek and I can tell you she was soo happy when I get food from you guys!

Good food and lots of options…
The portions are very large so be prepared to be able to have two meals out of some of the items. My kids love their poutine they are also large one poutine can do to people. Chicken Slovakia on the pita was huge and the chicken was amazing.

Food is great. Worry a little about enforcement of PPE for both staff and customers. Staff wearing masks below their nose as well as one other customer doing the same and another customer with no mask at all.

Chicken souvlaki was dry and overcooked. The salad had barely any dressing. I called to explain this and didn’t want to leave a review but the owner insinuated it must be in my head. And that they’ve been there 5 years. The chicken must’ve been on the griddle for that entire time cause it was like chewing cardboard

I love the Gyro pita here, so much meat that I struggle to eat it all in one sitting, and oh so good. I highly recommend this place. Update: Came in for another visit, still great. Thanks again.

We are from Montreal and decided to give The Greek Kitchen a try to see how it compares to Montreal Greek cuisine. I have never seen such a huge souvlaki in my life. You could feed a family of 4 with 2 souvlaki pita. The portions are extremely large and the prices reasonable. Would definitely come back here!

The salad was nothing more than huge pieces of lettuce with shredded veggies, and slivers of tomatoes. The chicken was very dry, an "adequate" portion, but the tzatziki lacked any ingredients other than some runny yogurt, that tasted very acrid. Why was this?

Fantastic food every time we order from here. Best souvlaki pita around and portion sizes are very very generous for the price.

This is the best Greek food I've had in forever! The portions are HUGE, and the food is amazing. The Greek fries should be illegal because they are so addictive.

The best gyro wrap ever. It's massive and so flavorful. I stop in and get one every time I'm in that area, which is not often enough.

As we are all well aware that when you visit any store or restaurant they all have 1 million signs to read prior to your entry, well I didn't see the sign that stated 2 people at a time and got sternly (rather rudely) told by one of the twin men working the grill to stand outside as 2 men were ordering! I did so no argument or hesitation. I stated I was sorry and went to stand outside. As the 2 men finished ordering they opened the door to let me in, say thank you and I walked in to pick up my pre-ordered order. As I was waiting to pick up my order and pay, 2 girls walked in together to pick up a rather large order, one of the twins (men) tells them to sit behind this boarded off area to wait for their order! Now I'm not sure, but the last time I checked I was still a human being and a person that accounts for 1. I didn't say anything at the time as the twins are identical and I didn't know which said what. I don't appreciate being treated like that when I got 2 gyro dinners for over $40! When they are $12.99 each. And the food wasn't even that tasty.

This place used to be 5 stars all day long! Now I am not happy to give it 3 and that’s being generous.no fresh shawarma cut off the spit, only pre made dinners that sit in plastic containers that are heated. This means it’s like eating the food after it’s been reheated. Nothing fresh about anything. The salad, sure it’s a big portion if you like 5% vegetables and 95% lettuce. Either time to get a bigger place with more staff that you can serve fresh food to people or your reviews are going to be going down fast!

The Cook was wearing a mask under his nose while cooking and when I pointed it out he was very rude so my husband and I decided to not get food there anymore. The food smelled good.but I won't be going back there. It was our first and last visit to this place.

I've had better greek food. These guys are so expensive. I'd try it out just to have your own opinion but be prepared to spend $40 on a dinner for 2 for a big plate of rice and salad.

I get lunch here from time to time and let me tell you if you like large portions you will like this place! The food is amazing AND plentiful. I'm a big eater and I always get 2 meals out of anything I order here. If I finished it all in one sitting I would need to lie down on a cot for a few hours before going anywhere and I'm not exaggerating! Go here! Spoil yourself! For what you get in terms of both quantity and quality there is simply no better deal in all of Hamilton!

Amazing! The chicken souvlaki dinner came to $20 after taxes - which my friend and I originally thought was expensive. However, for what they give you it is more than worth the price! It is easily sharable between 2 people. My friend and I both got our own dinners after a long hike and couldn't even eat 1/3 of it. Ate the rest heated up and amazing again!

Also I usually don't love roasted potatoes at Greek restaurants and these were the best ones I have ever had! A little tangy and so soft.

I have celiac so it was nice to find a gluten free option on a random road trip day that was so delicious. Wow!

Best Greek food out there, amazing family business. A little pricier but it’s well worth it as their servings are HUGE! Friendly lovable team who likes to grow connections with their customers.

Wife and I are regular customers here. The owners/staff are great- very pleasant and make you feel like true guests. The food is always fresh and they give generous portions. I have and will continue to recommend this place for healthy options where you are actually full by then of the meal. Thanks Greek Kitchen!

The Greek Kitchen's food is amazing! It tastes great and they have massive portions.

The one thing that is disappointing is that they do not have a website. They have Facebook, but their menu isn't on there either. All they have are a few not-so-great pictures of the menu in their store posted on Facebook. I went off of that and called in an order.
When I picked up the food, the price was DOUBLE what the menu showed and when I asked about it, the response was "that menu is from like 5 years ago". My two $10.17 meals turned into $42, which I wasn't too impressed with. What was I going to do at that point when the food was already made and sitting there for me?
They don't have menus in their store for you to take with you, the best they could do is let me take a picture of their updated store menu with my phone. So if you're ordering over the phone to pick up, you never really know what you might be paying, which I really don't like. I think they should definitely have a website or something by now - especially considering you can no longer eat in the store due to Covid, so your only option is to order and take out. I've never known another restaurant to not have an updated menu posted anywhere online, or at the very least, paper menus to take out of their store.

Overall, when I got home I was impressed with the food and would probably go there again. The bright side to the price issue is that now I know I could split one meal between two people and still have more than enough food because their portions are so big. It's just unfortunate that my first experience with them started off so aggravatingly.

We went here for the first time tonight to order takeout and my experience was horrible! I had ordered one shawarma dinner with a fattoush salad and one gyro dinner with a Greek salad. The guy told me that he can’t do a fattoush salad, it would have to be Greek salad. I said okay that’s fine. He then turned around and grabbed two already made & packed dinners from the counter and proceeded to ring in the order. I asked him if I could have freshly made meals, as I don’t want food that’s been sitting there. He told me in a very rude manner it would be a 45 minute wait. I said forget it & walked out. I will never again step foot in a restaurant like that. That type of customer service is horrific! You don’t serve customers food that’s been sitting there for god knows how long.

Huge portion, and excellent service. The chicken souvlaki and gyro was excellent. The salad was also very good, though you might wish to ask for them to Golightly on the dressing (I really like the dressing heavy, but others in my party did not but were able to pour it off).

We just started ordering from here and can't stop! Souvlaki chicken dinner is huge (we always share between 2) and soo good. We love everything about this place so far! Its fresh, flavourful, the service is always incredibly warm and genuine and the price is great! Highly recommended.

Order taking at the start is 0 not 1. You come in to order what you decided to buy for takeout and the order taker lady didn't want to honor your order and tells you to buy something else coz its already made rather than taking your order which takes time to make. It seems like my order is an inconvenience to cook for the 2 male staff that were not too busy behind the counter. I was ordering a chicken pita and the lady wanted me to buy the rice meal. I have never ever been in a establishment like this before that the staff tells you what to buy coz its already cooked. Recommend to owner to review their responsibilities/duties. Disappointed with my visit since this establishment has great reviews with the food. Hopefully, this review can provide some improvement with staffing. Thank you.

If you haven't been to The Greek Kitchen. Make sure you are hungry because the dinner portions for lunch /dinner are massive and excellent. I've never been disappointed in the several visits that I've made. Highly recommend this place rather than your usual fast food place. Great service and great food. Up!

I go for lunch here sometimes as it’s right by my office, and it’s always amazing. HUGE portions for a very reasonable price. It’ll continue to be a regular spot.

I've been several times for the gyro. It's nice and the portion is ridiculous. Plus very beautiful Greek lady behind the counter.

Amazing food! The owners are super kind and honestly have a passion for their food and what they cook. Really nice people and their food speaks for it self, my go to is there chicken shawarma/gyro rice and potatoes. I have not had their lamb Gyro but the one of the owners let me try it due to me always ordering the chicken and damn! Absolutely amazing plus letting your customers try something new that's class. 10/10 or really 5/5.

Got some catering for a work lunch I was hosting. Amazing greek food, with ENDLESS portions. We could have fed 30 people when we ordered food for 16 people. And it was all absolutely delicious. The one critique I would give it is that the chicken was dry for our catering event but every time I go in and get a wrap that has not been the case.

I must say the food is AMAZING! Why they lost my fifth star.they do not clean the place. The place is fairly new and it is already very dirty. They have napkins holders at each table and the dust on them is crazy. I went to the washroom and must say it is one of the grossest washrooms I have been in. I am torn.the food is amazing but with the lack of cleanliness, it makes me nervous. I will visit the place once again in the coming weeks, if they have not cleaned the place, i will not return. Its just not worth getting sick over. If they do start cleaning it, i will change my review to five star and visit frequently! - torn.

We ordered Greek kitchen for a party of 70 people! Food was delicious, big portions, nothing was dried out at all because of the way they packed it. We had tons of compliments. Would highly recommend and will order again.

Honestly first time coming here from a recommendation of a friend. Had an amazing experience. Food was well portioned for the cost. Felt like I was getting a deal. Had the pita wrap. Hands down best pita bread around. 10/10 would come back again

Can't deny the food is great but the prices are getting out of hand. When they opened their dinners were roughly 10.50. Now the price is up to $16! Everytime I go the price goes up almost a buck. I get that the portions are large but it's mostly rice and some meat for $16. Have been a regular since they opened but it's just getting too expensive.

Ordered chicken souvlaki and Greek fries to go. Food was fresh and portions were generous. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do. Will definitely be back!

We got the greek salad. It was ok but we drained excess water (not dressing) from the salad 4 times.soaking it up with dozens of napkins.

I went here for lunch with a work friend and it was also the first time we had been there. The food was great and the portions? Astronomical. Well worth the price. I genuinely ate 4 times from my one order of the chicken dinner. Super clean and well space dining area. Definitely going to go back.
