Had company gathering here. Awesome staff, loved the drinks, and the food came out fast and treated great.

Just moved to the area one of the nicest places I've been staff are so friendly felt like I was at home Tyler the bartender was so attentive I dropped my napkin and was alot instantly brought another one without being asked ill be coming here alot more often!

Always like going to The Gull when in Toronto. Didn't have food but it did look really good. Had some really good cocktails, and they serve a very good pint of Guinness.

Was a really hot Jazz Festival day and the AC was either really really trying, or just the vents were going. Staff were doing their best, and a manager did a great job mitigating the insane day that it was. That goes especially for the kitchen that was trying to keep up. The food was still really good at the end of the day, and everyone at our table was doing swell.

Don’t believe the menu. Could barely even see any beets in the beet salad and no creamy parmesan sauce or pesto oil on the butternut squash ravioli… like zero! Instead they thought they switch to a tasteless brown butter sauce and no one would notice the difference?
And don’t even get me started on the crispy calamari platter. Pathetic.

I hear the wings were good tho.but then again maybe that same person would’ve eaten the brown butter sauce and not even noticed

The food here is terrible. We ordered chicken fingers and fish & chips and both were clearly frozen from a box and tasted stale. You’d expect that a place that charges $20 for chicken fingers would at least make them in house. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re coming for a drink or two. There are much better places in the area.

Went to Gull & Firkin this past weekend and it was amazing. The server was so nice and the food was delicious. I had the spicy plant based wings (probably my fave soy based wings ever!) with sweet potato fries and my friend had the steak and fries - which she enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Sat at the bar, as they were fully booked with reservations. Bartender was fantastic, friendly. The steak was not so good. Did not have much flavor and was pretty tough and was the grassfed one that was more expensive. Veggies were good as well.

Great service. The firkin menus aren't what they used to be but this is still a nice firkin pub. Stays open late and the bar staff are great.

Very nice brunch on Thanksgiving Monday. Sat outside. Lovely service good for very reasonable prices.

Friendly, cozy spot near the beach. The veggie tacos were great; the buffalo cauliflower fantastic. Comfortable, good tunes, a great spot.

The service is always good, but recently the food has not been as good as in the past. Recently had an Eggs Benny for brunch and the sauce was separated and slightly curdled and quite sour tasting. I would love to see the good getting better again as my friend often wants to go here when I visit.

It's just like other Firkin's out. But they do staff some really hard working and eccentric people. Kudos!

I've been coming here for 20+ years and through all the changes, I have always found a draught beer to enjoy and a decent meal to fill me up.

Nice outdoor patio and kind staff ordered bang bang shrimp which was delicious although wait times could of been shorter

Was going to go to The Stone Lion, but there was a long queue for their patio. The patio at The Gull is small but got the last table. The service was fast and efficient and the food was great; best sweet potato fries around.

Stopped by with some friends after a Concert in the area, and everyone in the group was glad we did stop! Excellent service, we sat inside but there is an outdoor seating section for warmer nights. Food was delish, four out of four orders and we loved every bite of them! Not to mention the drinks. Great atmosphere from both the staff and other patrons, would definetly visit again!

Terrible services! We have been there for 1: 20 minutes for having our food, and the answer from them was “ we are busy “

These good reviews are surprising to me. What I experienced last night felt like I was in a movie. I have previously worked in a pub for years so whenever I go out I’m always pretty understanding of my servers and any issues that come up. But what I experienced felt like discrimination. I get it your in a great location and it’s busy, so you get to have rude servers? You get to forget to put our food in and have us wait for 2 hours for a burger, nachos and soup. Are server seemed like she was on something. Really sad that’s the standard you allow.

Great for a visit after spending some time on the beach on Queen. Nice pub fare as well and wonderful ambience. Nice to see folks out having a good time.

Definitely a neighbourhood restaurant (even though part of a chain). The team at The Gull always make you feel welcome. Food consistently good and always a good line up of beers on tap.

Ordered the tuna bowl and had to spit out the first bite. Quality of the food was horrible. Flavour was fetid. Add to that rude servers for an absolutely terrible experience.

Probably one of the worst firkins I've ever been too. Extremely slow service. The waiter was awful. We waited to long after we were seated to even place our order. No water nothing. I ordered the fish tacos and my friend ordered the chareton burger. 1 star for the burger. As for everything else, the fish tacos were disgusting. And I'm so disappointed because the fish tacos are so good and I've had them before at firkin but this one was so disgusting literally cut up onions and peppers and dry cabbage and a long battered dry fish stick with bare minimum of sauce you can barely taste and the taste of the raw red pepper and onions was gross. Never egain I am truly disappointed and not impressed

Half way through the fish tacos I started wondering if I had Covid because they were so bland. BYOS (bring your own seasoning).
The sun on the patio was nice though.

I’ve had take out from here before and it was good. However, came to dine in and service was poor. Waited so long, so skipped ordering food and went elsewhere.

Love the curry and the ales - could have a better selection of brews - but on a hot day sitting in the bike lane of Queen Street. Does the trick.

The service was really bad! We had to wait an hour to get our food, which was just a burger be with fries. How long does it take to cook a burger?
I would not recommend this place.

My friend who was with me for lunch got food poisoning at our lunch yesterday.so nothing has changed there since pre Covid! Awful food the chef needs lessons.

The food and drinks were good, but the service was awful. Our waitress came to check on us only once and did not provide any napkins - terrible in Covid times. It took forever for us to place our orders and we had to do so via the bus boy who cleaned tables. He actually provided the best service.

When it came time for us to get the bill, we waited a very long time because our waitress clearly had other priorities. She sat down at the table next to ours to chat with her friends instead of doing her job.

Being the only Asian person at the establishment, I have to wonder if the subpar service was racial discrimination or just due to bad employees.

Would not recommend.

Great food. Friendly staff. Love the (piped-in) music - classic rock/pop from the late 1900s (that sounds ancient - lol) Try the kettle chips!

Good food and service. Im on the keto diet, had a burger with keto bun, ceasar salad, and diet coke. GF had fish tacos and said they were great. We will return

Service was good. But not satisfied with the food quality they offered. Nachos were too dry without any toppings. Drinks were also ok. Hope they will improve next time when we will visit again. Good luck.

Ordered wings tonight and asked for Meryl's Deadly Seven. When I arrived home with my order I found the wings covered in globs of ghost pepper and completely inedible. I had half of one wing and literally could not eat any more as my mouth and fingers were on fire for 25 minutes after this point. I love hot food and hot wings but this just seemed like a dangerous level of heat that was completely inedible. It was not worth the pain, and I had to throw the whole box out unfortunately. Won't be returning.

I picked up dinner from the Gull and Firkin tonight. I ordered the mini Yorkies and a pub salad. Both are spectacular! The service was prompt and very friendly. The Yorkies are out of this world as is the horseradish sauce. I would highly recommend ordering from this restaurant. Great food!

One of the best Caesar’s I’ve had. Super fast service and reasonable prices. The seven deadly sin wings were the perfect amount of spicy and flavour.

I regularly stop by purchasing some food in this place. I loved the efficient service and well cooked food. Never disappointing.

Thank you Gull and Firkin for saving our New Years Eve from turning into a total disaster. Ordered days in advance from somewhere else outside the neighbourhood, but in typical 2020 fashion, it turned into a comedy of errors that left us without dinner at 830 NYE. A quick call to The Gull and 30 min later we were already home eating DELICIOUS tenderloin and lobster tails with sides. So friendly, so delicious so thankful for our patronage. But not as thankful as we were for turning our night completely around. Looking forward to going back. (I'm not one to review much, but the food was that good and they were so lovely to us, how could I not. Bye Bye 2020. Won't miss ya)

I have been a patron of the G&F for over 10 years. I cannot say enough nice things about Dana and her staff. While the Firkin is a "chain" establishment, this one feels like a genuine local pub. Which of course it is.:) Food is top notch as far as pub fare goes and the entertainment is always fun. Keep up the great work Dana and team! It is appreciated. JB

Went for a walk along Queen street and stopped by with my family for lunch. Waitress on Sunday March 8 was awesome wish I got her name. Answered all out questions and provided menu suggestions. Three of us had the Firkin burger and fries, My daughter and husband order the veggie burger. They got it topped with the regular toppings. Drinks were awesome, we had the berry mojito, red wine sangria and a wine spritzer with beer. Food was excellent service great and in the summer they look like they have an awesome patio

9th anniversary of our first date at the Gull and Firkin. Great staff (Danna owner and Sydney) good food and fun atmosphere!

We met with friends at this restaurant for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice.the staff were so friendly and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Enjoy the stop, only issue is the fact the bathrooms are in the basement and I have a handicap making stairs a problem.
Always enjoy the food here and the service is great as you are treated as a friend coming to visit nit a stranger.

Great pub, lots of friendly locals and in a great spot. Sports is pretty big in here, so great if you're a fan of any sport.

Visiting Toronto from Accra, Ghana and wanted to sit and relax somewhere on Friday the 4th October. Just few steps from my accommodation I saw this place and heard the music instrument play. I was like I get to enter here and I am so glad I did. My server was absolutely fantastic. She helped suggested options of drinks and she was checking on me like every 30 minutes. The live band music was incredible. I learn they do live music first Friday of every month. I loved everything and highly recommend this place.

This place is worth giving a shot. They have big portions for convenient rates. Constantly neat and with good mood. Will visit here again.

I absolutely like their dishes and customer service, great location next to my house. The workers are always very welcoming. Would recommend to others.

I enjoyed stopping into this little place. I just wished that they kept their patio open longer as the summer it stays lighter out, later.

Nice patio to sit outside at sunset nights, the Beaches is pretty dead in most nights, so this is one of the nicer shots to hit, menu and food is standard firkin pub fare, martinis, wine list and standard booze, the interesting part is due to complaints from the people who live upstairs, they have to mute all TV's in the patio which makes conversions much easier at night, they also have live music inside on weekends

If you are looking for a cozy, English pub experience with friendly & cute servers, tasty food and some sports action, this is the place to be. Make sure to order the chicken curry. Kumar's cooking will put a smile on your face.
