The Guru Fine Indian Cuisine

During my first trip to Niagara, I ordered takeout from Guru Indian restaurant—a quick tandoori chicken. Despite mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food quality and inviting ambiance. I would definitely visit again.

It’s not worth to eat there, the taste of food was not up to the mark as per the price. No hygiene maintained at all, flies were there on my table.

I was not feeling well after eating that food. There are so many good Indian restaurants nearby, Please do research before going there.
They are using same sauces, preparations in every dish. They are using ketchup in Momos and noodles which was really bad.

I could 0 star them if it was possible.

We Dinned here and food quality wasn’t good at all Also, we asked to use washrooms after visiting falls they just said No and rudely too.

Food was not good according to the price. They added gratuity to the bill without informing us, it was $20 for no reason. Not a good place to eat.

Pathetic service and horrible food. It was sooo spicy and when asked they misbehaved. Staff is ill mannered and behave ignorant. Disappointed

DON'T EAT HERE. RUN AWAY!

I am Priya, I had the misfortune of dining at The Guru, and I feel compelled to share my experience, or rather, my ordeal, with the world. If I could give this establishment zero star, I would.

Let's start with what was purportedly meant to be a dining experience catering to all patrons, including those with disabilities. Unfortunately, the disability services at this place was nothing short of abysmal. It was as if they had taken a masterclass in how "Not" to accommodate guests with special needs. The Owner (A desi Aunty) seemed more interested in obstacle course design than providing a seamless experience for someone with mobility challenges.

Now, onto the pièce de résistance – the owner's (Aunty's) behavior. Picture this: an arrogant puppet master orchestrating a symphony of incompetence. The owner's attitude was the perfect blend of disdain and apathy, as if customers were an inconvenience rather than the lifeblood of their business. The pinnacle of hospitality, I must say.

The insults to injury (both figurative and literal) reached their climax when I dared to express my dissatisfaction. Instead of acknowledging the shortcomings and attempting to make amends, Aunty delivered a performance that would make Shakespeare turn in his grave – a tragic play in one act titled "The Worst Behaved Owner in the Culinary World. "

In the spirit of poetic justice, I implore anyone with taste buds and self-respect to steer clear of The Guru.

It's a culinary calamity, a gastronomic nightmare, and a hospitality horror show all rolled into one!

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I assure you, it's unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

In summary, my heartfelt advice: save your taste buds, save your sanity, and save your hard-earned money. Run, don't walk, away from this place. There are far too many dining establishments that deserve your patronage and appreciate your presence.

Yesterday we went to guru restaurant in Niagara Falls and we ordered chilli chicken and noodles. The chilli chicken had lots of chilli which made it taste bad and the noodles were tasteless. Then we went to the counter to pay the bill and give the review the behaviour of the employee was not good. She was giving excuses which made no sense and instead of saying sorry and they will make the improvements she started arguing.

The food was very delicious, though pricy for Indian food. The chicken tika masala was delicious and had a good flavor and heat ratio. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who enjoys Indian cuisine.

We ordered chicken biriyani and veg noodles. Chicken biriyani was really tasty but raita was missing. Veg noodles was really spicy. They didn’t even ask our spice level and we couldn’t even finish the food. We wanted to try some Indian food but unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience for us.

We went to this restaurant to have diner. At first we thought that it would be nice here. It was our big mistake. We didn’t liked the food. I wish we checked reviews before we went there. After all, while paying bill, we saw that they added gratuity. We were only two people. Usually every restaurant we go to they only added gratuity if there are more than 4-5 people. This was insane. When we asked to the lady sitting at front, she was very rude and behaved so unprofessional. Customer service isn’t a thing for them.she behaved like she is in roadside dhaba in India. I am sure they have better etiquette to deal with customers. She said do whatever you want to do. She could be polite. If she was owner she needs to understand that being rude isn’t going to work.
Not recommending to anyone.

For the price, I would expect more serving size. The food is decent, but the price is just too much. $5 for a naan bread! $20 for a small curry dish! I know its inflation, but it's too much. On top of this, they add a 15% gratuity charge which is mandatory.

The food is so expensive and its not worth less i eat butter chicken and 4 naan it was 52 dollars that was too expensive.

FOOD POISONING!

Our experience at The Guru Fine Indian Cusine resulted in severe food poisoning. We had concerns about food quality and hygiene, compounded by the absence of a bill. Charging gratuity without issuing a bill after such an ordeal felt inappropriate. Urgent improvements are crucial for safety and trust!

I went to Dine-in today. The taste, price and quality all are disappointing. They were unable to fulfill the expectations in term of quality. I ordered Mix veg and Daal makhni.
In MIX veg, it was loaded with all frozen veggies and loaded with green peas.
All the appetizers also were not satisfied. I would say prefer other places for dine-in instead of this.

I had a terrible experience at The Guru Restaurant. The owner was too rude to adjust kid pram in the empty restaurant. Upon negotiating she agreed and then she did not allowed my elder son to have chips from another fast food restaurant although we were ordered our dinner from The Guru Restaurant.
After the conversation on chips incident we have to leave the restaurant without having dinner and paying all in full. We flew from Australia to enjoy our holiday but she ruined our night.
The owner was rude and unhelpful, and the food was mediocre. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Best Indian Food! I got the Gobi with Fries. The service was mid but the food makes up for it. The best part of my visit there was that I got to see the Niagara Falls. This food is why better than Mcdonalds!

I came to eat here on Thursday Nov 2h, around 9-10pm. I got food poisoning from eating here and had to call off work. It’s Nov 4th now, and I’m not feeling good at all. Additionally, unnecessarily overpriced.

Food is so bad. They are not warm food properly and the taste is very bad. I ordered only daal makhni and one shahi paneer and two nan.they are charged 64.00 dollar it’s totally expensive. Very very disappointed

FOOD POISONING

Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews of this pathetic restaurant and I ate there. We ordered fully vegan food and 1 hour after I had slight food poisoning. I had a bellyache, felt sick, and wanted to vomit. It never happened to me before and I didn't eat a lot this day so it had to be this food.

The food was not bad but fortunately, we didn't eat everything. We took leftovers and had to garbage it. What a waste of money and food!

The waiter was fine, helped us and asked a chef about vegan options but the old lady seemed not to be as well-mannered as the owner should be.

A place to Absolutely avoid.
