Katrina cut my daughter’s hair and mine. I feel she didn't listen to how I asked to shave her sides above her ears, and one side is longer, and it is more of a straight cut, not U shape. Mine, she messed up when she cut into my curls with the thining scissors. She didn't know how to dry my hair. She tried to fix it by blow-drying it with a round brush on top. This was my second time going here. Jess cut my hair last time she was much better, but she had no opening until the new year.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you have made this your profession and want to succeed in it, be your best at it. Why are you not trying to listen to your clients, refresh your skills, and learn new methods.

My teen was accommodated in a pinch…the night before photo retakes. It's not easy to find a place that's not only willing to squeeze you in but also delivers top-notch service. Kudos for their flexibility and customer-centric approach!

When you pay $ 90 to cut your hair, you except something really really good. The stylist did not do what I want. When I got home, everyone noticed that my hair did not cut nicely specially in the back.

Wow! What an amazing place. I got my hair done by Kat, She did exactly what I wanted and more. She was professional and very knowledgeable. Thank you for going above and beyond.

Be very careful of the 'upsells' on products during the colour process!
I got a cut and colour here within two days of each other. It cost me nearly $600 because I didn't pay enough attention to pricing. Such a gouge! My whole hair budget for several months. Even dusting my ends cost $80. Not a bad job, but I cannot afford to go back.

Very rushed and rude. The stylist didn't take the time to put conditioner or do any massage of the scalp which should be covered given the price. During the cut she mentioned doing the bangs costs extra and if I would like to proceed! How come it is extra? The whole time she seemed annoyed. But, they have other stylists who are not like this.

I love getting my hair cut by Megan! She always does a great job with my hair. The only reason I give this place three stars is because the last time I was here in May, I had another stylist who wasn't very nice to me and seemed extremely rushed while she was cutting my hair. She ended up curling my hair, but once it was straight, it looked uneven ; (
Other than that one time, it's great!

Jess is a very talented stylist for curly hair, and straight hair! On my first visit she took the time to really understand my needs.

I entered with a bunch of frizz and lack of shape. I left with shiny curls with a great overall shape that's easy to maintain on my own in the mornings. She clearly has a lot of experience with curly hair.

She also had a lot of great tips to share. I'm super happy to have found such a great stylist, and salon, in Kanata North!

Update: she also did my colour correction (box dye used during lockdown) and it came out amazing! Her recommendations were spot on, and she was fantastic about explaining the process and what to expect. She's always on time, and a great communicator! I'm a regular now.
