Ordered for same day delivery at 10am in store. Received a call less than an hour later saying they couldn't deliver same day and will deliver 'first thing tomorrow morning'. I asked for a refund on delivery and they tried to gaslight me claiming same day and next day delivery fee is the same even though I know there is a price difference as I had made two other orders that week to the same address.

Refund of $15 was finally reluctantly offered but I never received it. Delivery did not arrive following morning and I have been unable to reach anyone at the store by phone for over an hour. Put on hold, then it rings for a few minutes, then back on hold, repeat for 20 minutes until the call ends. Live chat will not load on their website either.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Do not shop here. I'm literally burning money on labor as I type this because I didn't have my materials when promised (twice over).

*Update*
Received a reply almost immediately asking to communicate directly through private message. After sending one message they have ghosted me for 5 days. Pretty sure they reply to negative reviews to give a false impression that they attempt to help upset customers.

Store is great, Bill (in the appliance department) is greater! Nicest human, so knowledgeable and kind. Make sure you take care of this man, he is an absolute asset to your store! We will be back to see him and get our appliances from him again.

It’s alright- selection of products available in Canada isn’t as extensive as the selection available in Home Depot stores in the USA. This location has some excellent and very helpful employees

This is review is specifically about their Awesome truck RENTALS. If you have a valid credit car ($500 minimum credit available, DL and Liability Insurance), this is your BEST OPTION In the city for a truck. Weather is it for a few hours, a day or a week. They have the lowest price rentals and EASIEST process. The service is crisp and fast. Polite but quick. Rent a solid SUPERDUTY FORD pick or Any number of Vans for the jobs that require it. I use this service all the time. Budget around $120 a day or $5 an hour (minimums apply). They excel Because they don’t try to HOSE consumers with complex contracts, and all kinds of surprise charges.

Disgusting customer service zero product knowledge. Impossible to get assistance employees run away when asked for help or pass you on to yet another employee that scratches their heads. Moral of the story milwaukee should pull their product from this location as employees actually have no clue about the tools they carry and deter you from buying. Whats worse is they blatantly lie to your face and then get upset when you ask them to check stock. Train your employees or hire people that want to work. Kindness costs nothing.

Pro tip: if you can’t find something or some one to help you, search Home Depot online (make sure you select the location you’re in) when you’re trying to find something, it’ll show you where it is in-store.

I researched the Home Depot website locking for a specific product, namely Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Soil in a 28.3 litre bag.

Well, I called this Stockyard store and confirmed there were actually 55 units in stock. This was only after I showed up at the Wicksteed Ave store an hour earlier and discovered that the 15 in stock appearing on the website was not to be found.

My sweetie loves caring for her indoor plants. In order to minimize the chance of running out of this seasonal potting soil, I loaded 3 bags into the shopping cart.

The self checkout station was convenient and easy to use.

A happy wife adds to a happy life!

Helpful staff, clean and organized store.

The checkout staff was either a newbee or simply dumb. Instead of ringing an individual item, he rang for the entire box.

A suggestion - for measurement they can place disposable paper measuring tapes to customers

The people that works there are very rude. I think the manager allowed it. When a customer wants to be treated properly, they just screams for the manager and walks away from the cash/refund counter

Bought a stackable washer/dryer set. At the time of purchase we were told we could schedule the dates for removal of the existing washer and dryer and set up/installation of the newly purchased system. After setting these dates up and moving things around at work. I called a few days later to confirm the dates and was told they can't confirm dates all they can do is give a guess. One of the most unorganized systems I've encountered combined with awful customer service.

This might have been an off experience but it really set a bad taste for me and this place.

I spent about 20 minutes looking for someone to help. It's very hard to find people. But weirdly enough, I move a cart that happened to have been left in the way by an employee and I am immediately chased down by this person and told I need to put the cart back in its place. Im not paid by home Depot. I'm not certain why it was ok for me to be chased down and spoken to like I've done something wrong.

Every time I visit the store the customer service is unsatisfactory. Today I went in looking for vacuum storage bags, first a worker tried to help me saying she might have seen them in one of the aisles but wasn’t sure if it was still available. She kindly asked everyone else through the talkie and everyone else said the same “they might have seen them in an aisle” so since the bags weren’t at the same spot automatically there were none in store. I personally searched for the sku number of my product and asked another worker to check in the system if they had it in stock since online it was showing it was available in store. Well the other worker said there were none in stock. I decided to look for the product myself since everyone else sounded unsure about the product being available or not. 30 min later after going through every single aisle I finally found the bags. Bad experience. It feels like they just pretend to help.

I was looking at the floor cabinets and one of the employees randomly walks out of the room and starts to tell me to clean up after myself. I had touched nothing and he was practically yelling at me. What happened home depot, I used to have good experiences here.

Click and collect here is always a pain. There’s always a mess up with my order. Whether it’s being given the wrong item, them randomly cancelling my order, or just the +1 hr wait times for collection.

Love the customer service this lady that works in the (garden) cash register is awesome too bad I dint get her name but she work 6/22/21 at 12pm very professional and she's awesome you should hire more like her. I wish I took a pic and share next time. Saint clair location.

Don't order curbside pickup from this location. Terrible wait times. Someone arrived with our order, the receipt was right but the product was completely wrong. He just walked away and we continued to sit and wait for another half hour with no answer. We finally had to ask for someone else to assist. Rona across the street does it way better.

I full understand there is a pandemic and things will take longer than normal but 72 hours to fulfill a curbside order is unacceptable. How every other business in Ontario manages to sell products by curbside and not take even 24 hours seems lost on Home Depot. Lowes, here I come.

Poor service. Overpriced tools. The phone is rarely answered. Most staff are not knowledgable. Curbside pickup is abysmal. Inconvenient at best.

The curb side pick-up function doesn’t work properly. We followed all the instructions via the “your order is ready for pick-up” email. Despite following the instructions, we waited 45 minutes and still no one came out with our orders. People came and went while we were there with far smaller items. Finally we called and they said sometimes it doesn’t work. Unfortunately, we wasted 45 minutes to find out that the button doesn’t work sometimes. It sucks for the employees there as this is not their faults and I’m sure they’re underpaid and understaffed.

Ordered lumber online. Had the wrong lumber delivered to my car. I spent hours over 2 days calling, no answer. When I drove back, I spoke to a group of 8 staff. None would help resolve the mistake. Chad was the manager and I asked to speak with him. Staff denied contacting him and told me to continue to call the store. I got ripped off money and could not complete my job properly. Home Depot failed on all levels, and for that I took the loss and will take my business elsewhere

On hold for 30 plus mintues to be hung up on multiple times before anyone ever does pick up the phone
2 hours or less for online orders? Been 27 hours still have yet to get my order
Get a call to keep an eye on my email because my order is being processed over an hour and a half later still nothing

Samuel B was terrific in helping me today with my little emergency. The toilet was brought out to my car and put in the trunk. He was great even tho I was not able to get thought to anyone on the phone to customer service to make sure my order was ready. He was able to confirm the order. He went into the store personal and got it for me, and within an hour, I had my toilet and was able to install it! This was the most fantastic service I have had.

I'd give it less if I could. Waiting on hold to find out what is happening with my small order of carpet rolls and I am constantly hung up on with no answer from a person or on hold for infinite time. Your site says delays but not 4 or more days. If a grocery store can run properly (a place with higher demand during Covid-19) tell me why cant you? When I order groceries online they are ready for pick up the same if not the next day. You are incompetent and cant fill an order of 1 item properly or efficiently. (You dont even need to cut anything it's a bagged item)

Submitted a curbside pickup order on Sunday and have yet to receive a confirmation 4 days later (Thursday) - with no option to cancel the order we are stuck waiting.

Customer service line has no answer, been on hold for hours and then when you schedule a call back it isn't returned within working hours.

Since the covid restrictions this store is a nightmares
7 items, all electric department, placed 3 days ago and no news. The 2 hours are just a lie. Customer service will take 30 to 60+ minutes to be answered and your issue will not be resolved. Avoid this store if you can. I would give less stars but I ignore 1 star usually so is 2njust to be read

Cant reach any one on the phone, when i reach other departments they tell me some one will get back to me, no one does get back.

- updated: finally reached customer service and was told that package would be delivered in 5-6 days and sorry all this is going on.an hour after that i got a delivery email from UPS for tomorrow! Dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing,

Please consider using home hardware or your local hardware store for ordering by phone and pick up instead of Home Depot. Their online ordering system currently takes at least 2-3 days before your order is ready for pick up. And be ready for at least 1 hour wait time when you go pick up. Not very organized and takes way too long.

I had an order for curbside pickup a month ago and have not received any confirmation for the pick up so I assumed the order got cancelled but now the order keeps getting placed and im constantly getting charged and refunded. I emailed and called any got zero help.

Curbside pickup is extremely slow. Not worth it unless you are prepared to wait a long time. Employees come right up to your car window without a mask too. They won't put the products in your trunk so you have to get out and stand within a foot of them.

I actually had a great experience with curb side pickup at this Home Depot. I was a bit worried because the website said there may be delays up to 2 days, and my order was delayed around 4 days. I also couldn’t reach anyone on the phone after trying multiple times. But once we got the email that our order was ready, everything was seamless. The store had signage set out in the parking lot and we were able to show our order number through the car window. They then directed us to a numbered parking spot where we were able to wait for our order in the car (thankfully, because it was cold). The order was brought out to the trunk and we were able to make sure everything was there. It was! I would definitely do this again. Thanks HD.

I get that we are in a crisis and I get this is a big transition for them, however they are not rising to the occasion in the slightest. When you order something online you get absolutely no information on when it will be ready / delivered. You try to call them to get information and can't even get through to an associate. You will be on hold for 30 minutes and then you will hear "sorry we cannot take your call please try again later". I can't even cancel my order because they have no mechanism in the online order system to do so. This is a complete failure, I get they weren't ready and couldn't plan for this no one could, our company is going through the same thing But they have not adapted at all. Rona is no better by the way, at least they have the decency though to say it will likely be 2 weeks+ until it is ready. Home depot gives absolutely no information. Beyond frustrating. They should at least show a date it will be ready in the online order process so you don't make the mistake of counting on it in a few days and then not hearing anything. My advice is for you to reach out to a more local hardware store if you can find one that is operating in this difficult time. New Canadian Lumber was excellent when I ordered from them last week. Customer service is top notch.

Highway robbery
Online order that is supposed to be finished in 2 hours or less. Then you don't hear from them in days - 3 days, no confirmation or anything. Instead you are spending HOURS on the phone trying to reach with the line usually disconnecting in 45 to 60 minutes range. 7 calls - 7 hours. So no email no phone. Tried to text - 4 days later some woman is contacting me with agenda of her own. REFUSING TO GIVE ME A REFUND, TELLING ME TO CALL A STORE.
In the meantime, I have ordered, and picked the items at RONA within hours from the order. Shameful HD, never again will you see me as a customer.
