Only leaving a 1 star review because of the logistics company they chose to deliver everything.

Joesph was a delight he was very helpful and amazing towards me and helped pick my dream house and informed us on the best purchases.

We purchased an LG fridge from the home depot store in June 2021 and an extended warranty in March 2022. The fridge stopped working today, everything melted and all the food is garbage. I have been on the phone since 10am trying to get assistance and have been given no support. Home depot gave me other numbers to contact who then sent me back to home depot. Between the fridge and warranty we paid over $3000 and for it to stop working barley over a year of having it and not receiving support is outrageous. The in store associates were very helpful and this is not a reflection on them.
Update
With the help of Home depot store staff and Home depot Canada they have helped resolve the issues we encountered. All-State and Square trade were of no help and further confused the situation with the protection plan we paid for. They gave misinformation and without the homedepot staff we would have ot had a resolution.

Great place to shop, customer service is okay but spend more time finding a person to help then choosing what I wanted.

Amazing customer service at this location. Very helpful and friendly staff on the floor - specifically in the plumbing department. Mikalya in customer service is absolutely amazing. She made my experience at this HomeDepot absolutely incredible and because of her I will continue to recommend my family and friends shop at the location worry free! Thanks again you guys are amazing.

Unfortunate that even though there is a store in Bowmanville that we had to go to Oshawa because they don't ship store to store.

Home depot doesn't need any reviews. This store is very big and have all you need of tools and hardware as well as building materials and other stuff. Staff are very nice and helpful.
Update: still a great store and staff are so friendly and always willing to help.

Rose in the paint section is amazing. Not only solved my issue after another store could not. She was friendly courteous and provided excellent customer service. Great employee.

I don't know how to reach upper management at Home Depot, so I hope that they see this post.

Yesterday afternoon we had the honor of meeting Alisha and Aaron in the flooring department of the Bowmanville Home Depot. We needed carpet cut to size, to replace the one on our boat, because we took on water and sustained severe damage last Tuesday.

We went to several carpet stores, not worth naming them, but nobody was willing to cut it for us. We explained that we are from Nova Scotia, we have no place to take it to and cut it, and we really needed help, but to no avail.

Hope fading, we went to the Bowmanville Home Depot, where we met these two wonderful people, Alisha and Aaron. They jumped into action, and cut it into the pieces we needed, and even helped bring them to our car.

At one of our darkest hours, two angels touched us, and made us feel that we mattered, that everything will be okay, that kindness is still possible.

They brought back hope.

Thank you, Alisha, thank you, Aaron, from the bottom of our hearts.

Kevin at the pro desk came through big on an incomplete order on a hard to get supply. He delivered it straight to my home to complete the order. Very appreciative of the level of customer service provided. Thank you

Lots of amazing employees! We had 3 people come up to us and ask us if we needed help in the 30 minutes we were there. The store was super clean and really well laid out. We found everything super quick. The hardest part was deciding what we wanted. Prices are really reasonable as well from what we saw. We bought shelf brackets and multipurpose screws.

Angela helped me in the paint department yesterday. I had no idea how I wanted to complete my project, just what I wanted it to look like and she set me up with everything I needed. She was so hopeful and so welcoming. Thank you!

What a joke you rent a tool at 7: 30 pm for 4 hours they tell you because they close at 9 it'll over lap till tomorrow. I bring it back at 9: 30am and they change me a extra $17 because "our system makes you have it back at 9am if it goes over night"

Highly suggest you check out Tim's rent all much better customer service.

I have being going here for years.service has dropped off a little bit, overall still very good overall

Ordered 5/8" drywall in the Bowmanville store, they told me it would be delivered to my house in three days. It did not arrive. The order status online didn't work. Called repeatedly and could never get the Pro desk to answer the phone. Tried texting the number on the receipt. Nothing. Ended up going in store once a week for three weeks asking where my drywall was. They could not figure out where it was, when it would arrive, or put me in touch with the supplier. Their answer was just, "maybe next week". Finally ran out of patience as I need to finish my project and canceled the order. They are very unprofessional. Do not make any special orders at the Pro desk. Save yourself the hastle and order somewhere else or buy something in stock in store. That's the only way you'll get it.

I have shopped for many years at this location and am always greeted with a professional helpful employee, particularly Dave, a manager in the Tool department, he is always helpful and eager to answer any questions, even if its not in his area. Dave takes pride and clearly enjoys his job helping others, a rare trait these days. Very much appreciated Dave!

This is a standard Home Depot so the experience is neither unsatisfactory nor stellar.

I find the aisle sizes to be quite large which helps with navigating around all the other shoppers.

The tool selection is solid and is typically well stocked.

Some products can be a challenge to find. Even when I use the mobile service to identify where something is in the store. Sometimes it's not there at all.

Staff are helpful to a degree. Just not completely aware of where everything is. Can't hold that against them because I know most big box retail employees are really only there for the chit chat with their colleagues and not the work.

Sales are usually pretty good. I will return.

Horrible. Staff clearly don't care. 3 hours at the location for blinds that were cut horribly. When we pointed out that the staff wasn't doing it right the answer was they were rushing to finish their shift to go on a date. When we noticed the edges of the blinds were frayed we were told to use a lighter.

Went in and was greeted by the Lovieliest older woman, proceeded to the flooring department where a group of associates were making crude and rash jokes with one another in the Kitchen and Bath Section. I did not even continue looking at the tiles i just left very upset with the words they exchanged. I went to the hardware section and a lovely gentleman named Rick helped me with cutting my key and then i was checked out by a young girl with dyed black and blonde hair and glasses. She was very cheerful as well, I will continue to shop here but please Discuss With your associates how to chat with each other on the floor.

Only went in cause I needed something quick and it was AWFUL. Associates don't know the products and the customer service was not very helpful. Went to Home Hardware and got what I needed right away.

Disorganized, employees didn't seem to know where items were. Could not find anyone in tools to assist, there was 1 employees in plumbing and 3 customers were circling to ask questions. Things have been open for a few weeks now, no need for that condition of the store.

Ample space for parking and picnic. Would do better to remove the algae close to the shore. Other than that, it's a nice location. The kids love it.

First of all, I am fully aware of the circumstances and understand the changes. However this is not the first rodeo and disappointed with the poor organization and personal skills. Waited almost 20 minutes to speak to a customer representative at the store. Could not explain why people who chose express delivery for a flat fee got there order first when orders were recieved, processed and set for customers in sequence. I ordered first thing I the morning. It was almost 6 hours when I decided to call. Then I was told I could not change my order to delivery as there was a cut off. Didn't matter because they didn't deliver to my area even though I am only 15 minutes away. Home Depot is probably making a ton of money of this flat fee delivery service and us curbside pick ups are being pushed to the side.

The aisle arrangement can be better in the power tools section. Even the staff there had a hard time finding the product.

Always a 3 to 4 day wait for any curbside pick up. Expect to wait in the parking lot for up to an hour. No one cares. It also seems like the staff are just there to collect a pay cheque. Horrible service everytime!

They show multiple items in stock. Place order which gets cancelled 4 days later with no follow up from store about why. Zero help from customer service.

For a store that isn't designed for the type of shopping we are doing these days the people are doing a great job and are to be commended for that.

I ordered online and had the product (4 2×10×16 Pressure Treated lumber) was delivered but the wood was quite warped. I sent it back. Went into the store and discussed with the customer service agent Anna. She had a solution confirmed with manager Joy and I went and picked out 4 more pieces. Tyler in lumber was awesome helping me sort through and find good pieces. I was refunded my original order and paid for the new order and Joy took care of the delivery fees. Thanks Anna, Joy and Tyler for exceptional service. You guys are working hard during these times and appreciate you doing the right thing.

Waiting in parking lot for an hour and a half for one thing of insulation. 5 people to my car in that period of time either trying to hand me someone else's order or to get my order number for a third time. I have started trying to go elsewhere for everything I can. I don't feel after such a consistent bad customer service they deserve any more business then they already get. Mass confusion.

Great place has almost everything you would need but they need to have more staff in the departments. Sometimes we are walking around the store trying to find an associate no one is readily available to ask questions. But their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Placed an order a month ago, online, all in stock with express shipping. Still waiting a month later, everytime I call I get put on hold and then the call hangs up. Leave the customer service rep a call back number never receive a call back. Cannot believe how bad this service is. Avoid this location. Ruining Homedepot's reputation.

ALERT DELIVERY IS FASTER THAN CURBSIDE PICKUP

I ordered something for curbside pick up and they are telling my its a 4 day wait for a drill charger

Never seen one company make so much money off the people but can't let you know before you pay and place the order that it will be a 4 day wait.

I asked an employee if the store had a couple of things I was looking for and he immediately showed me the location of each item. Very speedy polite service.

They’re a joke. Bought a lawn mower missing parts, apparently sold “as is” for a mark down price with no indication that was the case. Big box stores win again. Won’t be buying from them anymore
