What a pleasant shopping experience I had at this location. I came in for a specific item that was in stock on their web site but we were unable to find it in the store. Staff looked everywhere then offered me a very generous option. All staff that I encountered were super friendly and I even got help loading my car. Generally a great vibe in that store.

Customer service was terrific, I did not have 2 ask 4 help to my car, they offered as I was about 2 exit the store. Thank you to staff

Unprofessional when ordering items guy at the desk will tell ya be right in to get your sale then no one for weeks can tell u when your stuff will actually be in or even a eta on it what a joke

Was disappointed when I got home and noticed the smart thermostat I purchased from the locked cage at the front was someone else's returned item. This should be sold as an open box.
Exchange however was quick and hassle free.

Great staff, have most things I need. Wish they had later hours.

Great staff that always come up with solutions. A little less stocked with variety than other locations, but ok for most needs.
They are going through a wee bit of a renovation right now (Nov 18) so expect to find things in different aisles.

This is a clean and well organized store. It’s not too big, which makes it easy to stop in for a quick shopping trip. The parking lot was also clean, and so were their shopping carts.

I've purchased 6 cubic yards of crushed rock / pea stone from Home Depot.the bulk bags have all come about half full (see the first two on the left) and only one was actually filled (see the third on the right). Am I totally getting ripped off? At approx $250 / bag I've spend $1500+. If all bags were actually filled I probably could have done it in 4x and saved $500?

Myself and Hubby had an excellent experience in this location. The women working in that store really know their stuff. Special shout out to Cathy before Noon today. She was not only friendly and funny she knew exactly where our products were located and what we should buy. Great customer service and fair pricing, just what you want.

It is either low end or top end (prices) on products and with the way things have gone way up in prices it is hard to afford alot of things but overall you can get what need most times

Update: kitchen not done, and the temporary sink they installed doesn't drain.except into the new cabinet. What a joke
. Hood doesn't fit
. Fridge doesn't fit
. Communication with contractors non existent (on their end)
So yeah if you are considering a new kitchen with them.hard pass?

- appliances ordered with installation - delivered by rude installers and not installed
- delays on delays on current project, started in June, was supposed to be done in August might be November (?) who knows? But they have our money so there's nothing to be done
- home depot card - like an hour at the store on hold, being passed around, every few minutes the finance department would come on and say "oh just 5 more minutes"
- then i get approval, but apparently they can't use it
- eventually just say come in the store and sign and then we can order your stuff
- I go in to sign - oh wait no you have to get the form that was mailed to you and then come in
- weeks later finally approved, but then we hit production delays
- oh online order - was taking over a week, I cancelled it, bought the same item in-store, then the online product that was cancelled, arrives

I would never step foot inside again, except they have our money all tied up.

I needed to find a specific flat washer to fix a leaky faucet. With the assistance of a very knowledgeable staffer, I was on my way home quickly and my problem was corrected. Super service! Thank you!

Pathetic store as usual. I've walked out of this store more times empty handed. Inventory says 4. Actual stock of zero. This happens way too often. Don't know why I fool myself into going back. Best to call ahead and have them check physical stock before you waste your trip. 2 staff arguing over where stock is or isn't. Not very professional. Utter waste!

As always absolutely amazing service at this Home Depot! I can always find someone to help me and give me their opinion. Today I dealt with Rebecca in appliances and she provided me with excellent service. Got a new dishwasher and she ensured I got all the pieces I needed.

An excellent store for shopping for building materials and household products. A lovely garden centre also.

Good selection but sometimes not the best service. Went in to find fence menders. I had seen them on the website asked a older gentleman but he told me they don't carry them and if the did it would be online only so I went home grabbed my cell phone and looked it up. Yup 36 of them on aisle 16. Looked for the gentleman to let him know that they did carry it but did not find him

Staff individually are great but always seems to be some kind of issue come up (appliances not installed, various other order issues)

A great location and very well-stocked. I can't say too many good things about the staff. Everyone seems eager to help and I found everyone ready and willing to provide advice and direction with a smile.

A huge shout out to both Tom (kitchen section and plumbing/electrical section). They know their job so well and explained it to us so well too. I highly recommend you ask for Tom (Thomas) if you are in kitchen/plumbing/ electrical section

Frequent customer of Home Depot all over southern Ontario. Generally a great company and retailer. This store really seems to struggle with customer service and organization. I've had issues with order fulfillment in a timely fashion in the past. I ordered a fan to deal with heat wave for my elderly mother. Simple pick up item which they indicated would be ready in a few hours. They couldn't meet their own guidelines for pick up (I'm still waiting) and when I called twice to ask what was happening they placed me on hold for more then 20 minutes both times without ever returning to the call. Certainly not top notch service and the store would likely be empty if it was located in a major urban center.

Very poor service from the appliance department in Cobourg. She was not knowledgeable. And then told a 1-2 week wait, possibly a month? Went somewhere else. Bought the same machine, same price, in the color we wanted. THAT DAY! Big box store in smaller towns, failed again.

Wanted a new pellet stove our old one so wouldn't light without help from my propane torch. Purchased one from home depot cobourg.still have same trouble called to complain and couldn't take it back covid19 and got a lecture from women at the store. I will never shop there again.

I visited cobourg location. I bought some lumber there was I met an other very helpful gentleman Mr. John. H. He treated me with respect. I m an older man. He cut the wood and helped me taking to my car. Thanks John and Home depot.

Not very pleased. Got a ceiling light delivered and it showed up on time which was great but was missing almost all the parts for it. I called the Home Decorators Collection number for the parts and am told it will take a while (not given an actual time) for me to get the parts. The local Home Depot store cant do any exchanges or returns apparently either, even though I bought it from them.

Curbside pickup is well organized
I had one order with lumber, one without they gathered everything up for and brought both to the lumber yard quickly and efficiently

We are in lock down but road side pickup and even getting items delivered is no issue.the app is very helpful

Like all other big boxers.never enough staff. Good knowledgable people but pricy. Wanted to buy pavers. 14.24x24 but 60$ delivery. Got at Rona cheaper and 10$ delivery.
New order 215184280 ordered 01, /29. Paid 24, $ for next day delivery. Notified at 6: 30pm that my order was delivered. No way it was delivered to my house. What a scam.
Called in to find out where my purchase was. " Oh, it's here, it never got picked up by the delivery person".
Why did my text say it was delivered at 6: 39? Sorry, I don't know. "It will be "delivered in the next couple hours".

Helpful and friendly staff, safe and efficient check out, able to easily locate what we were looking for.

Was there close to closing time. Aaron in lumber took the time to look up a tool box to see if another store had it then took the time to call the store to see if they could put a location on that item. This Employee truly went out of his way to help me find what I was looking for in another department. Even went further by helping me find one at another store. So many times people would say that's not my department or we are sold out and just end it there. He truly went above the normal service I get. Thank you for your help in getting me the tool I was looking for.

Clean. Everything was easy to find. Arrows on the floor for every one's safety. Too bad they don't apply to staff. So why bother?

We ordered a door from Home Depot in Cobourg in August. There was a “glitch” in their online ordering program, so our door was not ordered. We weren’t angry. Things happen. It’s 2020. We ordered the door again. It came two months later and it was the wrong door. The store said basically it has nothing to do with them and we should order it again. They contacted the distributor who agreed it was their mistake. They apologized and we were told to would be expedited to us. Fast forward three weeks later and our door hasn’t even been shipped! We are now in month FOUR of this! The most we’ve received from Home Depot is an apology. They haven’t followed up with anything and the only reason we get answers is if we call and do the legwork. We will never deal with this location again. So disappointing.

The Home Depot at Garden St Whitby has many things I cannot find of other stores.
Vincent is in the Electrical Department.
He's very helpful and friendly.

Rebecca in appliances was fantastic! Helped tremendously on our purchase of a washer and dryer. Very knowledgeable, and helpful. Answered all of our questions, everything went very well. Like to also thank Paula in seasonal for her great help and pleasant attitude. She also knows her stuff.

Usually a good experience. Three morning visits this week. Not even a good morning from Greeter, employees all over store but when they came in to aisle they turned around, no one to talk with. I refuse to chase staff down anymore. Mornings used to be the best time of day to go, now not a good time. Disappointed.

Disgusted with the service today. Looking to buy a specific item.the associate covering the aisle EMILY breezed passed us not once, twice but 3 times! I said excuse me and she didn't acknowledge at all. No eye contact. Asked again. No eye contact and moved on to the person next to us. Not acceptable on any level. Maybe we will just shop elsewhere in future.all our appliances came.from here.bad taste now

Staff are super friendly.like most other home depot store the 1x12 is some of the worst ive seen.good luck finding straight ones.other then that to me it feels like home

A month ago when I bought a bunch of lumber at the Cobourg Home Depot. I had to fight with the sales person to get a hand loading the lumber. I'm 70 and handicapped. I think this needs addressing. Today while at the same store I witnessed an elderly woman by herself struggling to push a cart with a load of cement out the door. No one offered help and when she complained.all the salesman did was help get the cart rolling then say there, your on your way now. So insensitive and inconsiderate of the aged and a loyal customer.

Staff are very rude and will not Help a Senior Citizen with any thing n to top it all Off there was 3 staff standing there nothing wanting to help n said its over there on the left side

We ordered a whirlpool tub back in June. It finally came in, and we ripped the bathroom apart for the reno, unfortunately it was the wrong tub. We went to the store to see what could be done. Nick at customer service incredibly helpful and understanding, he did everything that he could to help. Really appreciate such great customer service. 5 Stars for Nick.

A big shout out to Paula in seasonal! She went above and beyond her duties to help me out. Started with a phone call, she took my number just in case we got disconnected. She searched for my item, which wasn't in the correct location. She found it and called me right back and put it aside for me to pick up. The other employee at the cash (sorry don't know her name) jumped right in with a measuring tape to help out as well. Thank you both, it was a pleasure dealing with you!

Rheem approved my 5 year old water heater that failed for replacement under Warranty. Home Depot wants me to buy a new one and then wait until after Covid to figure out the replacement. Terrible customer service asking me to purchase a new one for a failure approved by Rheem.

No self respecting store owner would install self checkouts this is not a constructive practice for our community! Give back to the working class, your customers and your community!

Although Home Depot stores are very much the same, except for slightly different sizes, what sets this store apart from the Toronto stores are the super friendly staff. I recently moved to Cobourg and have bought many materials for my little renovation projects here. The staff are always very helpful when I go shopping just about every week, especially Stan, who works in the Door area. Well done!

Went for work supplies everyone is always friendly and looking to help you fine what you are looking for, things are quite easy to find but anyways the staff here are great!

Had a completely clogged kitchen drain (dual sink) and stopped by the plumbing section at the local Home Depot (Cobourg) on Feb 22,2020 in the morning. One of their staff, a retired plumber, asked if I needed any assistance and I told him all about the clogged drain. He saw that I had Drano in my cart and instead recommended that I try another option that he had used when he was a working plumber. I had already tried one round of Drano without success and had also tried a snake down the drain but had no luck. Whatever had clogged the sink was something else and near impossible to clear out.

I used what he had recommended and followed the directions and safety instructions closely. It worked like a charm and our drain was performing like-new.

Can say enough about how amazing it is that Home Depot hires retired / former trades people to work in their stores. It absolutely makes all the difference in the world to customers.
