Aiden in Lumber is Amazing!
He helped me three weeks ago, and again today, with 16 foot boards, and cut them to my specifications. We chatted about cottages and our worker grandparents.
Other customers around me were not so kind, and he dealt with them patiently and professionally!

My wife went to return a dead plant ($4.98). The plant was purchased with some other items totalling $115 and paid by Mastercard ($58), store credit ($12) and Home Depot gift card ($45). The return clerk told my wife that she need to show ID to get the refund. Also the duty managers Chris and Brenda informs that she needs to show ID. My wife did not had ID with her at that time and told them that they can refund in the credit card. This is the first time happened with us and I also returned one item just couple of days before and the amount went directly went back yo my credit card without showing any ID. Waiting Store manager call regarding the issue. Bad customer service, highly frustrating.

Home Depot is very close to my home and I am a contractor so I tend to go there often. I do find the prices are not very competitive with local mom and pop shops. For instance duct work is close to double what I can regularly get it for from other local small suppliers. Lumber quality is like any other box store but often wood stored inside tends to warp way too much. I think the best thing about Home Depot is their staff. Always very nice people that are most helpful. A note to you directly Home Depot.we (I say we as I have spoke to many people about this) do not like the self check outs. We like to come in and see a friendly face when we check out. An attractive smile goes a very long way!

Ordered 2 toilets online - they had 6 in stock when I ordered. Order was cancelled and I have to wait 5 days for refund. Meanwhile, I had to order and pay again from another store since I need the toilets. Would have been nice to have someone call me or even a text.

Changed rating from 2 to 5 because of customer service. Felt heard and believe they will address the issue.

Shout out to Kathy for making our experience a good one. We came to pick up storage totes the day before and they told us to come back the next day as it was on the list of items to be brought down that night. We came back the following day in the evening and it was still not there. Kathy helped us right away! She got the skid taken down and personally opened and handed us all the items we required and she was super friendly! Thanks again for the amazing customer service.

My husband and I spent 4 hours shopping online. We took the order to the store and an associate Linda helped us order all 13 items. She was very helpful and friendly. Checked stock and put the entire order together so we could take advantage of the last day of the promotions great service!

Needed paint for our new home and Gina at the paint desk helped me out. She was very knowledgeable and was an expert on finding the right tools for the job. I’ve never had someone who knew so much about painting help me out before at Home Depot or Canadian Tire. This location has a huge asset in her. Will definitely come back for any painting needs!

Home Depot is always an awesome place to visit. Especially for the getting the guidance on various DYI projects. Employees are always helpful and point you to the right directions. Being honest. I must admit at times it's difficult to get hold of someone. This depends on time of the day (. Also how the person had the day!).

Overall Home Depot is the place where I go (and I believe we all go the same reason) for any hardware needs.

Home depot is addictive. I always need to go back. But it's pretty awesome except when there is no staff in the depts to assist the customer.but that's been bad for years across the GTA

Had a positively terrible experience with Home Depot and there absolutely awful customer service.

Spent almost two grand on a out door dining set on July 23. The tracking data they sent said that it was supposed to be delivered between July 29 and July 31.

We came home from the cottage on the 27th to find it has already been delivered and the skid was dumped in the middle of our driveway. We went online immediately to check the shipping and tracking data and it said that the set still hadn’t even shipped yet never mind been delivered. Was really not impressed that the company thought it was acceptable to just leave it in our driveway. Our neighbourhood isn’t bad but it’s still pretty poor that they’d just leave it out.

On July 29 we took it up to the cottage to find that many of the bolts didn’t match with the threaded holes. We followed the instructions and did exactly as directed but the pieces themselves were manufactured so poorly that there was no possible way to line up the holes to thread the screws. Having paid what we had I expected better quality.

I called their customer service to inquire about returning it or getting my money back and was told this wasn’t a Home Depot problem and that I’d have to contact the manufacturer directly. This is absolutely unacceptable, you are selling products that you do not support nor take any responsibility for. After several hours on the phone and being transferred almost a dozen times they felt that a $25 gift card was acceptable compensation and returning the set for a refund was not a possibility.

I will avoid Home Depot at all costs from now on, their customer service was atrocious and treating their customers in this manner is absolutely not acceptable. Beware purchasing from them, if there is an issue they’ll avoid any responsibility and screw you over happily.

The Home Depot should have a "floater" in case you only have one person in the Flooring department while the other is on lunch (for example). This floater can be someone who used to work in flooring (my friend used to be in Flooring before moving to Appliances at Lowes). Today, the flooring person was overwhelmed while other associates were either walking about or simply chatting in groups. The optics are very poor.

It's actually one of the stores where I have no trouble to find staff to help me out. They're usually friendly too and I can find what I need with some help or using their website to indicate which aisle and bay I need to go to.

My husband and I visited the paint section today and were very pleased with the customer service we received from Penny. Penny spent a fair amount of time with us ensuring that we knew the different selections/options and that we chose the best ones for our job. Penny was able to suggest and offer different products and got us thinking out of the box so we could do our jobs more effectively. Penny was very friendly and throughall. Thank you Penny

Online ordering system here is a Gong Show, but I had an emergency situation (Furnace shut down, in Feb!) and they went the extra mile to get me temp.space heaters in 15 minutes. Store staff are great, Home Depot system sucks!

If I could give this 0 stars I would.

My parents have been trying to get appliances in their house that they purchased in October. They were constantly delayed until late December. When the shipment finally arrived, the appliances were all damaged. Scratches and chips in the fridge and stove, dishwasher broken, microwave looks like it was dropped or hit with a forklift. Now almost 2 months after that and after multiple arguments and being given the run around, the new appliances arrived this morning. However once again the stove is chipped. And if you can believe it they sent a dryer instead of a dishwasher. No one seems to care or want to help and my parents have been left feeling ignored. But your appliances anywhere else so that yours will show up and be damage free.

I went to home Depot this morning at the harmony/ Taunton store to the paint section and there was a wonderful woman named Penny worked there. It was absolutely terrible no employees could be found anywhere had to up to customer service from plumbing for help and then still waited 10 minutes also the printer was not working and the cashier didn't know how to turn it off a 5 minute trip to Home Depot turned out to be 32 minutes In the store and the store wasn't even busy at all.

I did curbside pickup and it was very efficient. You pull into the parking and hit the 'I am here' button on the order email and they bring it out to you. So much better than what I've experienced at other stores with calling into the store and having to explain the order number, item, etc.

Friendly and helpful staff! Shout out to Dan @the Oshawa location who was superb at his job! We were entertained the entire time we were shopping for closet doors. Needless to say we left with closet doors for our four bedrooms! You made the experience worthwhile Dan, thank you kindly!

I came here to get flooring and the head of department was very helpful, tool what to do and very nice. She told us what to do and how to do and if we're doing it right. If it wasn't for her I don't know what we would of done.

Everything was good. But the checkout is terrible. Understaffed and pressure to use the self checkout.which is ok BUT sometimes based on what's in your cart.ie small wood that you had cut is a pain at self checkout and they really insist.then you have problems and they have to call people over.

Ridiculously long wait to pick up 1 small package. Why send me a pickup notification if I'm going to have to wait 40 minutes on the parking lot. Luckily the temperature was such that I didn't have to keep the car running to stay warm

Curbside pickup. Far too slow (40 minutes). I pressed the "I am here" button on the email. Then about 10 minutes later I recd an email reminding me that my order was ready to pickup. I called the phone number displayed on the sign.while the folks were friendly enough trying to sort it out, it was still 30 minutes longer than I wanted to wait.

Nice place, huge collection of items and reasonably priced. Staff needs to be more focused as I asked For two items from and she said it's not available whereas it was there. Overall, it's a place where you can get anything and everything for your house.

Very disappointed with the service of the floor representatives. I asked an older man for help and he was very short in his responses and seem all to happy to be abrupt and keep walking.as i was walking away another customer observed the interaction and commented "arent they suppose to be helpful? " I just left and went to Canadian Tire and got the help i needed and happily made my purchase.

Helpful and friendly staff at this location. It’s organized and very clean. Returns here are typically quick and easy. Lowes carries a few items that HD doesn’t and the opposite can be said as well. I think I like HD’s lumber better.

Most organized and helpful employees in any home depot i ever visited. Employees are very helpful and willing to help you right away. They have the knowledge and experience. You gotta visit the paint area they are very knowledgeable and amazing customer service.
