Great place for youth to go to. Charanjit is an exceptional leader who promotes health and wellness in the community. Highly recommend to all Scarborough residents young and old.
I had a great time working with a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers, the environment is very welcoming and safe. I had so much fun and would definitely recommend joining the various programs offered at The Hub.
The Hub is an inclusive welcoming and vibrant space. I am always overjoyed when greeted by their front staff Randy who has an incredibly infectious personality! I recently had the pleasure of attending the annual HubFest. I realized here that the Hub is a haven for diverse communities. It’s commitment to community engagement is unparalleled. The diverse range of events and services coupled with a genuine commitment to inclusivity makes it a valuable asset to the Scarborough community!
I was first introduced to The Hub community 6 years ago! And that is when I began with their Growing Leadership summer program. I was brought with warm welcomes and I was surrounded by a great environment with great energy and an uplifting group that always provided any help necessary. The staff are extremely supportive and give out countless care to not just their staff and volunteers, but the community as well, different families of different ages, gender, and ethnic groups. I was fortunate enough to be part of their summer program from 2018-2022 and it helped me grow tons as a person, helping me develop skills I need. To any young kids and teens that need occupation during the summer break I highly recommend Growing Leadership! I also was fortunate with a summer job as a Youth Counsellor and I can say very professional! And until now I am still volunteering in after school programs. The Hub is like family to me now! The Hub is a space that made me and friends feel safe and welcomed. Many of the programs that I joined as a volunteer or a participant were very insightful and helped me grow my leadership skills.
The Hub is an outstanding community center, offering many diverse programs to the local community. Volunteering in their youth leadership program, MSYL, allowed me to develop my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, all while addressing community issues. MSYL also provides a variety of free programs tailored to children and youth, including Homework Club, the culinary program CHEF, and the childrens art program HARTS. The Hub also offers many community support programs as well as health services. In addition to these programs, The Hub and MSYL both host many community events that bring our community closer together. The staff are amazing and friendly, creating a welcoming environment for all. I wholeheartedly recommend that youth and families participate in their programs and events.
This place is a real community Hub. Thanks to folks like Charanjit and all the other wonderful Hub team, everyone in the community has access to health and wellness. There's always something for all age demographics at the hub. Great place, so easy 5 stars
I came here for the Senior Dental coverage. It took 6 months but Kit and Dr Lee we’re very thorough in examining my teeth and gums They took lots of X-rays and even re-cemented my cap that had come off. Reported no cavities …Yahoo! All on my first visit. Wonderful experience with these two awesome women. Thank you for the service you provide for us seniors on limited incomes. I am very grateful for how you helped me today️
Visited for an in person gathering for Tamil Seniors. Good meeting some COVID protocols followed. I thought they were not mandatory. But the participants all seniors out on their first outing still followed the protocols.
We came her for our early dose of the 2nd Covid vaccine, and it was the most organized and helpful of all the clinics I've ever been to. There are Volunteers welcoming you and a very well knowledge staff of Drs and Nurses to help address any questions. Thank you Scarborough for setting up a great clinic! Book an appointment online today!
Great place, great community hub. Many people need to realize a community hub takes alot of moving pieces. They don't get alot of funding and it takes alot of dedicated people to make this wheel turn. Yes you may get some issues here and there but unlike the private sector it takes people with great character who loves to give back to the community to work in the community. This place provides alot of great opportunities for the betterment of the people and even if there are some issues. Just let them know by sharing your insights on what they need to change without being aggressive. Alot of volunteering goes into not for profit and people tend to forgot some things will not be super perfect so give them a break. This is coming from a person that works and volunteers in the community everyday.
They hardly answer the phone, or their mailbox is full. There isnt a doctor full time there, so its almost impossible to make an appointment. Ridiculous!
It's a great place. All kinds of programmes, a clinic, dentist and optician. Has a lift to the basement where you'll find the clinic et al. They serve in multiple languages. A youth centre is in process. If you live in the neighbourhood, drop by!
The Mid Scarborough has a variety of programs to choose from. One of the reviews spoke about ANC worker Mr. Omar Brooks. My concern first would be if the Mid Scarborough Hub has something in place to ensure the safety of our vulnerable youth! I have spoken to the manager there before Shola and she stood behind her staff. I have been weary of Mr. Omar Brooks since he arrived at the Hub especially after hearing about his incidents at Scarborough Village ANC! So thankful for Anthony!
I have been living in the area for over 20 years, and my neighbors have been apart of the ANC for many years. The leader of ANC Omar Brooks is a walking contradiction. He has not been very open towards the LGBTQ community, but yet he is a bi-sexual man who is known in the community. It is very disheartening to see that a leader of a community program, acts in such prejudice when we know who Omar Brooks really is. He use to work out of Scarborough Village and had many complaints about his conduct with youth both male and female and his conduct with community members and was just moved! We are tired of calling the ANC and Omar is no where to be found! His personal business should be taken care on his own time, and during work hours his community he serves comes first.
Everytime i wake up early to call and make an app with my doc these people send me to voicemail after 2 rings.lol its annoying asf especially when this is the first thing thats on my list of things to do.
