The Hungry Wolf Restaurant

I am from out of town working here. Found this treasure of a place on Walker. Prices are reasonable. Food is excellent and large portions. Good atmosphere. Servers are friendly and quick. Try something different every time. Never disappointed. Been a few times now. Love this place.

Not the swankiest place, but it is comfortable. The food was great and reasonably priced. The Chicken Lemon Rice soup was fantastic. Friendly waitress as well. I would definitely go again if I am in the area.

Absolutely my favourite place in Windsor -Essex. I have been here many time and everything is delicious, but I ordered the pizza for the first time and oh my lord! This is the most amazing thing I have ever tasted, I cannot get enough!

I love this place! We have been so many times the waitresses know us. They have the best tzatziki sauce I’ve ever tasted. Gyros are delicious and heap on the meat. It’s homemade no prefab meat. Greek salad is delicious. They put beets on it and homemade dressing is awesome. My husband loves their pizza. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

Truly enjoyed eating out at the restaurant without having to show qr codes and photo ID. Our meal was delicious.

Love eating here you get a ton of food, the prices are very reasonable, and the wait staff hassles. One of my favs in the city.

Very good! Gyros are top notch fattoush salad was amazing. Ordered at 10pm on a Tuesday delivery and all the food was fresh. Will be back!

Been going here for a couple of years. Love this place. A very convenient location for those who work in this area. Almost everything I tried on this menu has been pretty good. Definitely worth going back again!

Nice atmosphere, great wait staff and excellent wings even though this time mine could have used a little more garlic in the honey garlic yet they were delicious.

Efficient entry routine. Decor was nice. Our hostess was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, and was very attentive and prompt.

We started with Mozz sticks (A+), and fried Zucchini on the waitresses recomendation. We weren't dissapointed. A+ (Protip, ask for these to be well done, they are absolutely better this way) my wife and I had the same main, the turkey club. With fries. It was excellent with crispy bacon generous fresh off the bone turkey, and the fries were crispy.

I'd highly recommended Hungry Wolf restaurant as it's a great mom and pop diner with friendly hard working people.

Chicken Supreme was tasty! Greek salad was very good but I saw a another customer get a panzerotti and it looked soooooo goood!

Honestly the best restaurant & bar in Windsor. The owner, and staff are amazing. Excellent customer service is a main priority and it shows. When an establishment has as many regulars as Hungry Wolf does, you know they’re doing something right. I will always recommend Hungry Wolf to friends & family.

Our granddaughter chose the Hungry Wolf Restaurant when we gave her the option to go anywhere she would like. She has great memories of us gathering there for Birthday celebrations and very good food pre- Covid days. She enjoyed the generous portion of shrimp, fries and cole slaw. The lemon rice soup was also delicious and a popular entre. There is a diverse menu and something for everyone. Also the staff was friendly and efficient. The owner came by and visited to ensure we were satisfied in a very congenial way. We ended the evening with Baklava. Our thanks to the owner and staff for a great ending to a lovely day with our granddaughter.

Absolutely love the food here, staff are so friendly, welcoming and efficient. Something that really stood out is the fact they have a number of security cameras in the kitchen that customers can see. This gives great reassurance that the food is of best quality. They have a great menu with so many choices that caters to everyone.

I went to The hungry Wolf to grab some fish with my wife and she grabbed some wings and a salad the fish and chips was garbage the fries were overcooked the fish was over cooked her salad was terrible and wilted your wings were disgusting they were okay at first but once we got a few in we noticed they were bad the only good thing we got was The cutlery I mean their pizzas are okay and their wings used to be really good who knows maybe they'll change I would not recommend going back

Delicious and comforting food and really friendly staff! My wife and I love the club sandwich with fries and coleslaw, its great quality for a great price!

I would drive 3 hours from to Toronto just eat their gyro again. The homemade beef pork lamb gyro with the feta is the best gyro I have ever had in my life. The lady at the front with the short reddish hair is so sweet and kind, she knows her menu and will not steer you wrong. Thanks for a good meal guys.

They were very helpful after my wife and I had an awful experience with Skip The Dishes. The hungry wolf employees were very informative and took the extra step that they didn't need to, but did anyways.

Update: I had to lower my star rating because we ordered pasta and asked not to put sauce so they piled the sauce on the chicken instead (in the same container) and it went all over the pasta. I ended up cooking for my son in the end. No sauce means no sauce.
So far I've tried Greek salad with chicken, Reuben sandwich and poutine and they are awesome! It makes you want to try everything on the menu. The portions are great and they are consistent with flavour and preparation! Definitely ordering from here again!

Love this place! Awesome food, good prices, large servings and the best gyros and shawarmas in Windsor Essex county. Looking forward to the pandemic being over to head back regularly like I used to but still enjoying the fact I can still get takeout and delivery. One of my favorite places to go! My first time ordering, used Skip The Dishes, and I was impressed. All of the items ordered were delicious, large portions and great value. Even included some pita bread and a small Greek salad as extras (unless that was accidental lol). You definitely gained a returning a customer tonight!

We enjoy getting the Dereks wings for take out. The wings are always delicious. Juicy, not dry. The flavour is wonderful.

First time ordering from there. AMAZING staff.they even checked my order in front of me to make sure my order was how I wanted it. I ve never seen that before. I was super impressed.great food too.would definitely recommend.

Never had an issue, the staff are super friendly. My personal favorites are the Derek wings, the tzatziki dip and fried pita, and the fried mushroom caps.

The waitress we had March 6th at 6pm on the bar side was FANTASTIC. Wish we knew he name.

This place has great food and friendly staff. Their French fries are more like chip truck fries.simply amazing. Also had the personal pizza which was fantastic and very generously sized. It took a while to get our food at lunch time.but I'm used to Toronto break neck speed of things so I can't really hold it against them.

Went for lunch on a Sunday. I got the Philly steak pita, not what I was expecting. It was also extremely hot. My first bite burned my mouth and I waited another 15 minutes to eat the rest which was still very hot after waiting. They are known for the Gyro and I would imagine that is way better than my philly pita. Service was good, food came quick, just not the best taste experience for my first time.

Highly recommend it. I had a delishious meal. Friendly atmosphere, our waitress was awesome. Keep up the great work.

Came there yesterday for dinner, husband had a burger with fries and I had chicken souvlaki plate. This isn't fine dining but the food was hot and tasty. Good food at a reasonable price, friendly service, relaxed attitude and a cozy atmosphere. What more can you ask for of a restaurant on a cold evening?

The food here is so good. A great local spot with lots of options. That chicken lemon rice soup is one of my favourites.

The food is great, Servers are very accommodating and pleasntly efficient.
Parking cam be tricky but doable.

With a restaurant on one side the establishment. With a pub on the other side. This Hungry Wolf / Time Out location is Windsor Famous. A selection for all pallets on the menu. The fridges are always cold. Watch the games. Play some pool. Listen to the Jukebox or live entertainment. A must go. On my list.

Good food, decent prices, good sized portions and friendly staff that go above and beyond to make sure you get what you order.
