A cute little cook shop in liberty village that offers hot & ready eats.

The goat curry with rice is phenomenal, not the best goat I’ve ever had but definitely up there when it comes to quality.

Goat is becoming harder and harder to find in the city so it’s good that the islands offer it at a reasonable price.

They were playing my favourite music artist when I entered the store so I am hooked for sure I will be back.

Cool staff in the front of house but I bet the chefs are even cooler.

Come on down and get some goat for your throat it’s a hoot and a half!

We got a lunch delivery for our office of 25+ and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, chicken was moist and flavoured/spiced perfectly. Everything was fantastic, well-cooked, and delicious. You can tell the food was made with love and with care, with great ingredients. I have never had so many compliments from the team (and our guests who were visiting the office that day). We had out of town guests who got to get a great taste of Toronto's famous flavours. The lunch specials are also great, love the food and it's even better than the other chain I used to go to. This is my favourite spot.

Was really hyped to try this place but have definitely had better Caribbean food near by. Would recommend Roywoods or tdot jerk in parkdale over this place. Some reasons I didn’t like it was the rice didn’t have flavour the plantain portion was 4 tiny dried out plantains and the gravy tasted like it’s bbq sauce… the chicken itself was good but again not the best.

The food is sooooooo good! The portions are generous and needed, because you definitely will overeat as it's really great! Curry goat was delicious. Don't know if the beef patty changed ecently, but ordered one last week and the filling was extra flavourful and 'saucy' (sometimes beef patty filling can be dry). I wanted to turn around and buy another because it was so good but stopped myself.

Festival is good but the chicken roti was so soggy, the curry chicken had so much water in it you would’ve thought it was a fish. Customer service was okay.

Food is so savory like out of this world. They way elevate all flavours bring joy to my tastebuds everytime. Price is on point. These guys are blessing?

Ordered catering from here for a work party (20ppl) and it went off! So tasty and easy to order, couldn't recommend them more

Wonderful staff. The ladies let us sample the jerk to test if it was too hot. They made our dishes with care when we mentioned our allergies. Amazing food and great portions! Can totally recommend Chicken jerk! Thanks guys!

Best pattys I've had in a while. Roti is pretty good and so is the jerk chicken. Great prices and big quantities. Hope the food and quality doesn't change. Great spot for this little restaurant

First time trying this place, so went safe with BBQ chicken. Came with choice of rice and peas or white rice, and coleslaw or salad. Ordered a medium, which came with two drumsticks and a couple of thighs, well sauced and really tasty. Also got gravy over the rice and peas, and it was delicious, with a little kick. Definitely want to go back for the oxtail now

Still great-tasting food and staff are super friendly. However, they’ve increased the prices of some of their items by about 18% within the last year (such as their meals). Something to consider. Definitely miss the great deal that was offered when initially opening. Nonetheless, I’d still recommend the food as it’s super tasty.

So happy they’ve opened up in Liberty Village! Visited the first day they opened and was not disappointed. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Service was great too. Will 100% be back for more! They also have clearly marked gluten-free and halal options.

Got the Jerk chicken lunch special (small) and beef patty & this was more than enough food for one (I had leftovers). Jerk chicken was on the spicy side, but if you skip the skin it’s milder.

As a fellow Jamaican born person it is very difficult to find authentic tasting Jamaican food. I went for lunch today and have the fried chicken with curry goat gravy. It was very flavourful and rice and peas was done perfectly, not to mention the generous portion for very good price. Although my chicken skin was a bit tough, I would assume it was a one off. This is the first authentic Jamaican restaurant where the staff was extremely friendly and cant want to go back to try the curry goat roti.

Really yummy! BBQ chicken was tasty. Goat roti was the GOAT and chicken roti was also delicious. Will be back!

This place is fantastic. I’ve ordered from here several times since they have opened and it has been consistent with flavour & quality. I’ve tried the Oxtail 8/10. Fried Chicken 10/10. BBQ Chicken 8/10. Jerk Chicken 7/10. Veggie (Callaloo/Channa) 6/10. Stew Peas 10/10 my favourite! Rice & Peas has great flavour and texture as well. They are pretty efficient during lunch time with specials just under $10 making it pretty affordable with generous portions. There was one occasion where they forgot to include a few items when I ordered ahead but other than that, the food here is authentic and up to par. There aren’t many Caribbean restaurants in the area so this is a great addition to Liberty Village.

Came here a couple days ago and the food is pretty good but INSANE PRICES… 30 dollars for a MEDIUM Oxtail is outrageous! Not only that, after hearing the price I switched to jerk chicken and the inside of the chicken was RAW. Unsafe food handling, wouldn’t recommend.

The Islands catered an awesome lunch for 100 people at our agency today.
Awesome, flavourful food, arrived piping hot and brought everyone together. Jamacian Patties were delish! Happy to support a black owned business in the Liberty Village community today and will definitely be back. #ADayOnwithGALE

Everything was on point, the festivals, the plantain, the coleslaw and most importantly the jerk.

I had their Patties and BBQ chicken yesterday
It was literally 10/10
I only wish I tried their food earlier

I was disappointed with the goat roti I ordered recently. It was only goat meat in a roti skin. No curry potato and it wasn't wrapped well to eat by hand. I had to use a knife and fork because it was falling apart in my hand. The goat tasted nice, but this wasn't what you would expect for a traditional roti.

They know how to do friend plantain the PROPER way… 5 stars.

Only thing is I paid extra for extra gravy on my jerk chicken but they didn’t give me that much. Whatever, still very enjoyable.

Stopped by for their jerk chicken lunch special and I’ve been craving it everyday since! Will definitely be back to try the whole menu:)

Fast, hot and delicious! The jerk chicken had a bit of kick to it and I loved it. I know most people get the oxtail gravy on top but I would suggest getting the goat curry instead imho if the jerk chicken is too spicy I’d get the bbq chicken which is also delicious:)

This place came highly recommend by a client. I've been twice in the last two days, the food is tasty (though not the best in the city) but good and reasonable. The portions were as expected and the facility is very clean, food presentation was excellent.
The only issue I had was the lack in customer service, someone seriously need to train the girl at the front to be more customer oriented. I don't care how good the food is, customer service is just as important, so they lost a star from me. I asked to cut the festival, she just answered "NO" then asked to mix callalloo with ackee, again her response "NO" I said even if I pay extra she said "NO" like seriously. She offered to charge separate for each item which is fine but went on to say we have to put them in separate containers. I think finally after a few tries it clicked in, it only took a few minutes.
I'll definitely go back, maybe she was having a bad day.

First time ordering as I’m pretty bias about Caribbean food (I’m Trinidadian) and usually venture to my go to spots in Scarborough.

I ordered the ackee and salfish with a side of festival (dumpling) and I was very impressed. Very flavourful, tasty and the portion size (medium) was more than enough. Can’t wait to try the jerk chicken next.

The Islands Caribbean Cookshop at Liberty Village catered at my office yesterday and I was really impressed at the flavourful food they had on offer (I especially liked the Ox-Tail). As a man of Jamaican heritage I can be very picky about Caribbean food and I found them to be tasty and authentic. I will defiantly be going their on my lunch breaks
