The Java Garden

I’ve gotten takeout and delivery from here a few times since moving to the area. My favourite is the tuna melt. The focaccia is so fresh and the toppings are well seasoned (I could’ve done without the corn but that was my fault for not reading the toppings lol).
Their service is kind and great! I ordered a lemonade they no longer had so offered me a unique flavour I never had before and loved! Also a sweet treat.

Sill definitely be back more and more.

What a lovely cafe! Amazing coffee with lots of fall options, and a great atmosphere to study in. We also ordered a wrap that was also excellent! Can’t wait to come back!

A extremely cute and pretty little cafe with outstanding food and even better coffee. Highly recommend you come try to tomato and red pepper soup, outstanding. Very friendly staff as well.

The decor lives up to the name of garden. Lots of real plants scattered around that are obviously loved.

I had time on my hands and went in for a quick lunch. The shop is cozy, the food is excellent the coffee is great. I even picked up some local honey.

Food was good, coffee was great but the best part is the coziness of the place and the friendliness of the owner. We got coffee and one of their home baked muffins. It was a great experience.

The nanamo bar was good but the waitress forgot to put enough chocolate in my hot choclate it tasted like hot milk.

Dan and his team recently hosted us for a work holiday lunch party. They went above and beyond to create a holiday atmosphere for us, setting up their tree and providing table decor. The food was delicious and the egg tart - to die for! Thanks again!

It's a cute cafe with cozy ambience. And food is great too! So if you want to sit back, relax, grab a coffee and a snack, this is definitely the place to come. Recommended

This has become of our favorite places to go as a family. Dan and team are fan-tas-tic and sooooo nice to everyone so tight off the bat service is great. Food is also fantastic! My son loves their panninis, my daughter is crazy about their cheesecake, my wife likes everything and I love their coffee and muffins (best ones ever). I strongly recommend this place. Its always a pleasure to go there:)

Wow! What a jem this place is. The food is A+. Purchased multiple items here and brought them home. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. This is the place to go if you want coffee and breakfast or just a sweet. Looking forward to going again!

I haven't seen workers enjoy their jobs as much as some of the employees at this Java Garden.

I ordered the gluten free tomato mozzarella spinach panini and I LOVE IT! Its so yum and I love how they have gluten free options. I’ve gotten their watermelon smoothie and super fruit all star smoothie, both which are very nice. It is a little on the sweet side but a nice kind of sweet. The owner is also super sweet. I love walking to this cafe on my daily walks plus their prices are really affordable too.

Great food and coffee, friendly staff. If you could stare at trees instead of the parking lot, it would be perfection.

I tried Java Garden today for the first time. And Oh My Goodness! Such a beautiful hidden gem. I had the "famous" red pepper and tomato soup and had no regrets. I'm excited to try their spicy Thai. The chicken mango panini was delicious. I wished I lived closer to visit more often. There are definately treats in the dessert counter that need to tried! I would highly recommend this gem to anyone! The cafe has a quaint, boutique feel. Lauren was able to address the clientele by name. It was a place that felt like home!

Everything on the menu is absolutely phenomenal! Customer service is beyond exceptional, they will make you want to stay the whole day. Cannot say enough good things about this incredible gem!

Great food! Very delicious tomato soup (is has red peppery taste but not spicy, more sweet) :) i had a combo with turkey apple butter brie panini and it was a great value! Their lavender latte is good too.

Had a "regular" coffee although there was a wide variety of specialty coffees available. I also had a strawberry/rhubarb square.delicious.a wide variety of pastry and food was available.service was friendly and prompt.the patio has beautiful view of Waterloo skyline.highly recommend this establishment

Had a lavender latte, it was everything you want in a latte, strong, aromatic, just all around good quality food. Owner is so welcoming. Love having a coffee nook like this in the area. Better than Starbucks! Shout out to Anni Nurool for picking this place.

As previous customers have stated, it is a great experience from the moment you step in the door. Dan greets everyone warmly, and is very helpful in helping 'newbies' figure out what to order. The Tomato/Red Pepper soup is 'to die for! ' Great spot to grab a quick bite, or just sit on one of the couches and relax. The Friday night entertainment adds a nice touch to an already great place.

First impression of this place is very positive. The customer service, atmosphere and menu items are excellent (from what I’ve tried so far).

Dan was very warm and welcoming from the get go. He provided me with a sample of his savoury soup, and some friendly conversation.

I will definitely be returning and would recommend The Java Garden to my friends.

All new customers get a sample of homemade soup which is delicious, especially the tomato soup. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The kind of place you could easily see yourself spending an hour or so just soaking up friendly conversation.

I admire the owner of this business for offering high priced mediocre food and coffee and being able to hang on for so many years.

Came here to listen to a friend perform music. The soup (red pepper) is incredibly tasty. It has to be my favourite soup of all time. Coffee is good as well. I will definitely be returning.

Their soup is absolutely delicious. It's probably the best soup in town. Even my friend who hates tomatoes loves this tomato and pepper soup. You can buy it in jars and take it home too. You can also buy European candy here. Great place!

Great coffee, great vibe. We ordered the banana muffin with the coffee and it was nice and warm and a generous size. It was freshly baked and delicious.
