The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Sherway

In Toronto, this was the second restaurant of this chain that I visited with my family, just as tasty, just as atmospheric, there is a large free parking lot in the shopping center. Good wine list and excellent service. You can come with children.

Such great service and food consistently I cannot think of a single bad dining experience here

The keg is a great Steakhouse, but lately the service is not what it used to be. Probably because of the Christmas rush. Hoping it will pick back up.

I ordered the New York Striploin Steak. Was soo good I forgot to take a picture of it. Next time! Haha. The staff were great, food was great, and atmosphere did not miss! Lets goo!

Nice atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff, quick service and great quality food. We had fried calamari and mushroom Neptune to start. Both were very delicious and highly recommend them. As a main I ordered a 6oz top sirloin (medium). It was perfectly grilled! Here’s how they lost one star- the meat was way too salty and
the veggies were undercooked. I’d return for sure but I’d ask that they season my meat less and cook my veggies slightly longer so they’re not crunchy when I bite into them. Overall a very pleasant evening out with family.

2nd visit - came here to celebrate with family for lunch. Our server Lorraine was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent as usual. It’s always a nice treat to come to The Keg at Sherway.

I had never been to the keg. Went there for lunch. Got peppercorn ny striplion steak with peppercorn sauce on the side and double baked potato.

Was kind of expensive but unreal flavour. The service is high class and i would definitely go back. 5/5 stars for the experience.

Great location, clean and the staff/servers are attentive and the staff/servers are polite.

First time dining at this particular location celebrating my parents anniversary and it was excellent. The atmosphere and front staff was warm and welcoming the food was beyond phenomenal the appetizers we had were scallops and baked garlic shrimp and we all had steaks the rib eye I had melted in my mouth it was so tender. The waitress Lorraine made our visit that much better she was extremely friendly and made sure we never were in need of anything. Overall I rate our visit 10/10 and will be celebrating my birthday in January there for sure.

I have always liked the Keg, so i may be biased, so let's try to stay objective.

Covid passports were checked and reservations verified. They are careful with regulations.

Staff is friendly and polite.

Food is delicious. My go to is rib steak, Chicago medium rare. They make it to the proper temperature and seasoning. The escargot and mushrooms Neptune are a family favourite.

The Sherway Gardens location is great. Easy to access and get out of. If you have time, you can do some shopping too.

Prices could be improved on. So it is not a frequent treat for us.

Kids were celebrating their birthdays and they threw in a delicious mocha ice cream cake for free. Nice

Lovely facility! Food was good but a little expensive for short ribs. Potatoes were warm. Great service.

It was my first time at the Keg. I liked the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. I had the bbq ribs with garlic mash potatoes. It was a great choice! I found the prices a bit high but it is okay if you are going on a special occasion. It is worthed it!

Kudos! We were 5 - ate upstairs and had a great table. 2 people were late but our server Dominiqua was very attentive even while we were waiting for the 2 to arrive. Meal was great, service was excellent-we will definitely come back to this location

From the second you walk in, you are greeted by a hostess (Angelie) that has such a welcoming and respectful vibe. Even though we didn’t have an appointment, she still ensured that we got a table. We were then promptly sat by Thea without any delay. Our server (Nadia) was on the ball throughout the whole night! She was super accommodating and she has a natural sales talent that is quite impressive. The way she is able to present information to a customer is so authentic and real.

At this point I was so impressed by the customer service (which unfortunately is hard to find these days…) I asked to speak with the manager (Amanda). I informed her how all of these women deserve a raise/appreciation for upholding such high standards of themselves and the restaurant! I’m sure I butchered all of their names, so I apologize for that. But if you’re looking for that authentic “The Keg” vibe along with amazing customer service. This is the place to be!

Went there with family for dinner, ordered some appetizers baked prawns, mushrooms cauliflower, very bad taste calamari was out of stock due to Suez Canal blockage, didn't like the steak either. I used to love their steak but, I won't recommend to here again

I have been coming to this location with my wife since 2016. Always outstanding. We love the mushrooms Neptune and the classic rib steak dinner. We had Nadia as our server this past Sunday. Amazing service. Very knowledgeable of items on the menu, and so very friendly. Great job, thank you! We love coming here.

Keg is my favorite steak house for the best Steak in town, today we were in a hurry so we had the best hamburger

The Keg is always good food and the service was good too. And I know that Covid is the reason for the things we don't like about this place but being asked to leave because our time is up.thats very dissappointing.

Our server Natalia, was probably the most amazing server we have ever had anywhere, friendly, timely efficient service, she really set the standard for gold star service 10/10 recommend going and asking to sit in her section, what a lovely experience.

We came here for dinner on Sunday night for the first time to this location and everything was fantastic. We had the mushroom Neptune and escargot for an app, we both had the Oscar sirloin and then the brownie Sundae for dessert. The food was great and our server Natalia was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for amazing food and service!

I will definitely be returning! Arrived 15 minutes before reservation time and got a great seat at the top patio portion of the restaurant. Great view and music. Our waiter Vinnu was professional, down to earth, easy going and patient. Recommend drinks. Entrees were served surprisingly very hot and cooked to order. I tipped both him and the gorgeous bartender Josie ️ Thank you for the awesome dessert at the end and before we left advised the Manager on duty that we will be back again because of our experience. Cheers to the Sherway Keg!

Staff is friendly, Excellent service, Great atmosphere and always a Delicious Dinner.

Keg food is great. Ribeye with the cesaer is my favorite. The prime rib is also very consistent and excellent. Great ambiance, and if you are into patios they have a great one upstairs. Reservations are a must here. Pre-covid you could get something at the bar with a walk in but with the various protocols make sure you reserve a table as its generally pretty booked.

Disappointing visit. Usually The Keg never disappoints, however, this time the service and food were lacking. Our server didn't even take the time to check in with our table and didn't bother to ask if we were enjoying our appetizers or entrees. We had to bring up that our requested medium rare steaks were hard as rock and way over cooked. We also never had our drinks topped off and ran out of table water on one of the most hot/humid days of the year. We were looking forward to celebrating a birthday but the food and service left a lot to be desired.

We got locked down during a shooting in the mall on Friday the 13th. The staff were great and accommodating. Although we were stuck inside from 1-6: 30, it was a great place to be locked down in, in a mall.

Excellent service today by our waiter Lindsay. Friendly, informative and provided just the right amount of interaction to make sure everything was being enjoyed while leaving ample room for privacy. Safe to say he is doing a superb job. We had calamari, Baja steak salad and the salmon bowl for lunch. Both were enjoyable. Worthy of a return visit.

My husband and I just went to the Keg Sherway after I had done a 10 day stretch at work. Our server Natalia was BEYOND amazing. Everything was perfectly timed, and her friendlness and demeanor were unparalleled. She moved a super heavy umbrella to accommodate us! Hands down amazing experience. Kudos to the Heart of House staff that also provided us with incredible food. Fresh, and cooked perfectly. A thorough team win for our experience. Thank you so much. We will be back soon.

I needed 3 checks for covid before i can sit and have a beer.this is just plain stupit paying this people just to bother you.and the place is empty!

Always come to this location. Staff is friendly. Enjoyed their lobster season. Lobster is sweet and just perfect. Sirloin always done to perfection. Can't complain when we come here. Our server was Kyle and despite it being social distanced he was great.

The food was fine, server was fine. Keg usually does not go wrong with the food. Celebrating our belated anniversary as restaurants were closed due to Covid. Why bother asking if your celebrating something? If your not going to congratulate them. Makes absolutely 0 sense. I get it maybe times are tough with pandemic lol but then please don't ask people if they are celebrating something. Logic level = 0

After having a horrible experience next door, The Keg accommodated our party of 6 and turned our night completely around. I have to give a huge shout out to the top tier service from Nikolai! Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He suggested some of the best appetizers we've ever had at the Keg. We typically stick to the same things every time, but with the awesome suggestions, we went out of our comfort zone and were not disappointed. Highly recommend the mushroom neptune, lobster gratinee and baked brie. The Keg is now going to be our #1 choice in the Sherway plaza.

My partner and I booked a last minute lunch reservation and luckily, we were able to get a table at their beautiful patio.
To start, we were greeted by the host who promptly acknowledged us and brought us in. We were taken to our table in their upper patio and greeted by our fabulous server Joe, who was incredibly professional and super friendly.
Avie behind the bar was a treat! She stepped out of the bar area to greet us.
The food was fantastic and we could not be more pleased with the service in general.
The staff is a superb representation of what The Keg is all about.

Honestly shocked that I even have to leave such a negative review for one of my favourite restaurants but I was really disappointed with this location. I called them more than 10 times everyday for almost 3 days with no response. I was extremely frustrated because I wanted to make a reservation for my fiance’s birthday as this is also his favourite restaurant. Eventually I ended up driving there just to be told that reservations are done online now but still left wondering why nobody bothered to answer the phone after days of me trying to reach them. If someone had simply answered the phone, I wouldn’t have had to waste so much time. I find it hard to believe that not even one staff member had enough time to answer the phone for 1 minute. Not impressed.

The patio was so beautiful! The way it was covered and decorated gave both of the feel of being indoors and outdoors, it was very comforting. The food was incredible, I highly suggest the loaded nachos with chicken, seriously some of the best nachos I've ever had! And of course the steak and garlic mashed potatoes were amazing, overall great experience!

The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I have found in past years the inside dining area has started looking a little rundown. The upstairs patio is nice.

Probably the worst of the chain I’ve been to. Third time in a row now that I’ve been there that they’ve,  "run out of prime rib"… I’m not so much a steak person and go there for the prime rib. They must get very minimal as we were there for 7: 00. Our server never brought us steak knives. Everyone around us got table bread but us. I get having a good looking servers is nice but come on, you’re completely compromising the Keg standard. Wouldn’t return to this location.

Just called to make a reservation for 6 and it was refused because they now only take reservations online.

People want to return to your restaurant after Covid and they are turned away.this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Really nice newer location. Service was excellent. I ordered the Peppercorn NY Steak and it was done perfectly. (medium-rare). Husband had the blue cheese filet. Also done perfectly. I wish I could remember our servers name but she was excellent. Natural and not phony. Parking was fairly easy as we went on a Tuesday at about 4 pm. I imagine on the weekends parking might be rough. Washrooms are on the 2nd floor. You can walk up the stairs or take an elevator. Recommended.

I ordered take out last night. Was very disappointed. My steak was very chewy not juicy at all. And fatty. I have eaten at the keg many times. Always happy but unfortunately we can't so got take out. They should provide the same service. The cost is the same. I won't support ordering take out. Anymore

Went to the Keg Sherway with my family for NYE and everything was wonderful. We were even given champagne at midnight for a toast. Our server was great amazing and the food was delicious. Truly enjoyed myself

Second visit here and am surprised how the steaks are done to your needs. I have had only negative experiences at the Keg's I visited in Winnipeg, so this came as a pleasant surprise to get good service and good steaks. Definitely recommend. Great ambiance as well!

Great place for a friend's throwback birthday celebration - complete with Mud Pie! Service was great, dinner was tasty and yes, even though we had no plans to eat the complimentary dessert, it was excellent! Go for the fun of it and sit in the lounge!

I went there December 13th around 11: 30am to purchase gift cards, I was planning to get 2 cards for $100 each card. I walked in and asked about it and the girl at the hostess desk said go over there toward the bar. I did but stood there waiting and she didn't help to get anyone for me. So I walked out. I decided not to spend any money there with that kind of ignorant service. I think a hostess should be pleasant and helpful to the customer.instead they lost a sale and future sales.

Had a great experience on NYE. Went to this location after 10pm, got seated in the lounge. For appetizers we ordered, the nachos w/chicken & garlic bread with cheese. Both were very delicious (the best nachos i believe I've ever had!) For the mains, we ordered oven roasted chicken, top sirloin, chicken and ribs & the keg burger. All were delicious. Even got champagne to ring in the new year. Definitely a great experience, will never have a problem returning!

The Keg is a steak chain. This is one of the newer upscale ones. We had a good drink at the bar. The service is good. It's a good escape from shopping.

The worst. We were given bread and our drinks, and then no food (we only ordered entrees) for a full hour. We ended up just leaving at that point. The server never even checked in with us during that time or even to apologize for the delay. NOTHING. I was very disappointed and was really looking forward to a juicy steak. Will never be returning to the Sherway location. Since we have a gift card, hopefully the Heartland location may serve better.

I had the pistachio crusted salmon, and it was phenomenal. Great varieties including non-steak options. We also had the mushrooms Neptune, calamari, scallops and bacon, escargot, and garlic cheese bread as appatizers, and everyone at the table was thrilled. Sophisticated atmosphere, but I just wish the staff was a little more sociable.

Had a great customer experience with Amanda F in the bar area with my family. Even on a busy evening took the time to speak with the kids and family. Tried her best to accommodate and was exceptional with making the experience great! Need more Amanda's out there and will be back again.soon!

We went to The Keg at Sherway for my birthday, and it was wonderful. My steak and my partner's steak were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very attentive and really seemed to enjoy his job, which really showed. I love the Keg, and will continue to go back to this location, as the service and food has always been stellar. Great job Sherway Keg!

I called to place an order for pick up but apparently they don’t do that here. You have to walk in, place the order and sit there for half hour waiting.

Dining room is always full. Steaks are great. Got cold mash potatoes several times. Waitresses looking for attention ignored my wife and I and started serving others before us. Hair in the salmon on one occasion. Manager took it off the bill and gave us free shrimp cocktail.

We went for my moms birthday. Was a great time. Friendly staff. The burger was phenomenal. I'm not a steak kind of girl but I always manage to find something. They brought a slice of cake with a candle which made my mom happy. So thank you.

Visited this location on 10/28/2018, at 10: 00pm (Sunday). Looks beautiful from the outside and also clean and tidy with a cozy vibe upon entering. The Hostess was there at the time but not willing to drop of menus to our table as it’s self seating in the bar and dining room is closed. This results in waiting 10 minutes before anyone came over, and another 4 on top of that before we got 2 waters and 2 menus. (Restaurant was not busy at all at this time). Our hanger steak dish was missing the Gnocchi but we were only told of that once we received our food and were offered mashed potatoes for free, but it would have been nice to have known in the 20 minutes between ordering and receiving our dish that an important component of it was missing, (we would have ordered something else). The steak itself had no seasoning and the whole dish was bland. We love Nachos at the keg, these ones though seemed like 0 effort went into them with cheese all on the bottom and overall dry nachos and the beef cut in pieces ranging from the size of a pin tab to some the size of a mini bic lighter, they were dry inconsistent and not very appetizing. Our server disappeared and every other server looked as if we were ruining their lives by visiting their location, a friendly quality check of water top of would have been nice even if your not the server serving us. We only came to this location because it closes at midnight and we wanted to catch the World Series while we ate. First and last visit without a doubt.

Solid steakhouse. Classic menu. They have a real process in place to ensure amazing quality on every dish. I have been to The Keg probably over 200 times in my life. Always the same and never unsatisfied.

Came here for my father's retirement dinner. Our server was personable, enthusiastic, and provided great suggestions while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere.

To be fair I had the chicken dish at a steak house however I find that each time I visit the Keg the food is just ok. The service and staff were excellent. The food was boring but presented nicely.

Food was middling despite the price. The music was way too loud as well as not appropriate for the atmosphere. Not much I found enjoyable other than the server.

I'd give 7 stars id It were available. I've never had a bad steak there in my life. Every location delivers service, great food and atmosphere. Consistent and quality are hallmarks of every Keg experience.

The service here is average but I still go there regularly because the food and atmosphere are great I also like it cause it's convenient close to where I live.

Can never go wrong with the Keg. As a chain restaurant this is simply number 1 in my book. Great professional staff. Food has always been perfect the way you want it. This new location replaced the one that was on West Mall south of Bloor. The new restaurant is beautiful, modern and classy but I miss the old charm the old location had. I am more of a rustic person and felt more relaxed before over the now more busy bustling atmosphere this one brings. Patio is great to.
