Tonight we celebrated a double birthday.
The food was excellent including the salmon and the service beyond words tops.
Our waiter Andrew was the BEST, friendly and added to pleasure of the evening

I had the bread, Caesar salad, teriyaki steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and dirty martinis. The hot bread and butter in the beginning is very good. Caesar salad was good, I’d like a bit more cheese but this is my personal preference. I ordered the teriyaki steak medium rare and I’d say I got a rare steak but I like rare and it was the best part of my meal, terrific. Plenty of mushrooms and the red bell peppers complimented it very well.

The garlic mashed was good. Garlic mashed is a bit of a cheat, it’s hard to mess up, tastes great, but yet it isn’t a unique experience.

The martinis however were lacking. I wouldn’t call them dirty so much as a bit salty.

Service was very good.

We had a table for 8 and I chose to get tucked into the corner as I don’t have frequent bathroom requirements and was willing to take one for the team but had a fire broken out, I’d have died trying to scoot out of the table. Thats making me give the service a 4 instead of 5 stars, otherwise everything was quite good.

I didn’t go to the bathroom so no clue how clean that was.

Always love this location of the Keg. Amazing service, delicious food (as expected) and great cocktails!

Fabulous meal. Lobster tail, Prime Rib, sirloin, burger, onion soup, salmon…. All delicious. Server attentive and courteous. Lost one star on atmosphere because it was freezing in the restaurant, air conditioning overload tonight.

We had such a good time dining at The Keg! We ordered the New York Striploin and the Prime Rib (14oz), and it was so delicious! The Prime Rib was juicy, soft, and tender, and the New York Striploin had the perfect amount of chew and tenderness. The waitress was so sweet and attentive, and really made the experience that much better. Definitely a good time whenever we go to The Keg!

Went for my birthday! It was very tasty, and our server was wonderful! Super polite and friendly! However, the prices are super high. Food was very good! This is one of those restaurants you visit once every year or so.

Sampled The Keg's seasonal dish of apple braised shortrib and it was delicious. The classic Billy Miner pie was also quite decadent. Espress martini was excellent.

Food was brought wrong. Steak was tough. Food took an hour to arrive. Server was forgetful. But the server and people were nice. Keg was overloaded for reduced staff due to virus fear. Most food places are not as good after the virus. Prices too high as well. Dining experience ruined because of virus fear. Will never go back. So sorry.

One of the best steaks I've ever had! Shout-out to Sabrina: you've been superb!

The food was amazing

I absolutely love this place the food was delicious and seasoned so well. Our server was absolutely amazing, definitely worth coming here.

Very disappointing dinning experience. I called to make reservations for 6 people on the patio. When making the reservation I asked and clarified multiple times that we will all be seated at the same table. I was informed that it was only 4 per table but they would insure that we were seated next to each other. Which I clarified not back to back but side to side where we can still enjoy a meal all together. When being seated we were not only very far apart, back to back and there was a large plant right in-between. So even if you wanted to shout across the patio to talk, there was a large plant in the way. We were there to enjoy a meal TOGETHER, seeing a my mom was going in for surgery then next day and we were all trying to enjoy our time together as a family and distract from the upcoming stress. Which was the last thing that happened. To make matters worse, the food took very long to come out and half the table was served while the other half waited at least 10 minutes for their meal. After addressing our concerns, the manager came out with hardly any concern or empathy for how his staff clearly messed up and was laughing and making light of how our night didn't go a planned. The Keg is held to a very high standard and with that customers go with the expectation of great service and a great experience. Which wasn't the case. Like I said very disappointing.

This visit was perfect. The staff was very friendly and professional. The meal, The Keg Classic Top Sirloin, was exquisitely cooked and melted in the mouth. The accompanying vegetables complimented the steak well.

I chose to complete my meal with a slice of cheesecake and an espresso. The cheesecake is very creamy, which is not my preference, but it was still very good. The espresso was spot on, nice strength, excellent heat, delicious.

I definitely recommend The Keg in Richmond Hill.

Service was slow, but might have just been the server we had because every other table was taken care of an checked apon we had to wait so long for drinks alone not getting to the food yet, when food comes there was no question if we needed anything else, or even checked if the food was ok after we started eating, witch the food was not ok the shrimp was horrible an the steak was missing some sort of steak sauce, the manager was great he made sure we didn't leave unhappy, even though we still left unhappy but he tried thats what counts over all out of 5stars this place gets a 2. I've been to many keg spots an they have there s$^% together, oh I missed the most important part I booked a week in advance an they didn't have my reservation after a whole week really thats where it started.

Service fast and friendly, consistently great steaks and side dishes. Go to place for social occasions, book res in advance as they're always busy

Recently stayed at nearby hotel for 7 nights. We dined here 5 of the 7 nights (we love The Keg and can't get it in Michigan).
This location doesn't disappoint. Great quality food and great portions. Cooked exactly as we requested, including extra care for husband's gluten allergy.
The staff are also super friendly and go above and beyond- Oliver at the bar was fantastic!

Had an intimate dinner at the Richmond Hill branch with husbandand mother-in-law. Food and service was excellent!

I live in the area and always go to this The Keg location. Friendly staff and food is always great.

Keg Steakhouse in Richmond Hill has a wonderful heated patio for dining. We celebrated our wedding anniversary dinner surrounded by a pretty glass wall waterfall and a nice fireplace. Our appetizers were delicious and the serving size for a calamari was generous. LOL, we loved the complimentary warm bread and soft butter. My sangria was refreshing. Steak and lobster dinner was yummy. Sirloin was grilled to perfection at medium with a tasty pepper crust! Whisky peppercorn sauce is a must, but there's a $2 charge. Ceasar salad and mushroom rice sides comes with the entrée, it's so good. Ice cream cake with caramel was a nice dessert. I ate so much that I couldn't move. Thank you for the amazing food. And especially our waitress Ashley for making us feel special!

4 out of 5 steaks were cooked as ordered. 1 teriyaki steak was under cooked in the middle. Rib steaks, prime rib, teriyaki steak and ribs were good. Garlic mashed potatoes could use more garlic, but were still good. Veggies include peppers and zucchini. Steaks are also served with mushrooms. Plates were nice and warm to keep food warm. Bread was warm and crusty. Served with soft whipped butter. We didn't order drinks/apps. Our server did not seem to like that and did not come by very often as a result. Never experienced this before at this or any Keg. We were out of there fairly quickly, so she should be happy to get more customers earlier than expected. I know this type of service is the exception and not the norm.

I loved onion soup, and like the keg restaurant, last night it was amazing food besides fair place, the staff so nice and firendly, nice place, good management, I’m sure I’m comeback again, the good restaurant in Toronto, and love it

The service was absolutely amazing. Chris is very good and allowed me and my family to have a good experience. We ordered a new york strip, a filet and 2 rib steaks. The rib steaks were good but the exterior was burnt on the edges. The fat was not rendered and the steak was almost raw on the thicker pieces of the steak. We ordered it medium rare. The new york strip was fine but was very tough. Then we have the filet. The filet was very good except for the fact that it was medium well when we ordered it medium rare. This led to the steak being tough.

Staff is friendly and there are ample seating options for both indoors and outdoors. I highly suggest and recommen to make reservations in advance to avoid wait times.

Our server for the alyssa and dustin anniversary dinner was amazing knowledgable and an absolute delight. The food was fantastic as always and despite being on the patio due to covid restrictions on a rather chilly day the heaters they hace kept us plesantly warm. Highly recommend for a great night out.

This location was absolutely amazing! Came here for dinner for our 10th anniversary and we are very very happy with hostess service when entering restaurant. Our sever was Dan and he was so polite and courteous and loved his level of service. Food and appetizers were 10/10 as they were so fresh and delicious. The most wonderful part of our experience was the restaurant surprising us with a cake on the house for our anniversary
Will definitely be coming back to this location

I had dinner with my family last night (July 31st) and was so turned off by the waiter who was constantly rushing us to finish our dinner due to a time limit on the table. When we sat down he told us right away that we had a time limit and when ordering he was constantly rushing us to get our orders in due to the time limit. The waiter then let us know halfway through the dinner that we had 50 minutes left. I went to the Keg to have a nice relaxing dinner not to be rushed constantly and to be told we had a time limit. My reservations were made weeks in advance. The manager was aware of the situation and she promised to give us free dessert for everyone at the table that never happened. Service was disappointing! I love how Keg management only writes back to people with positive reviews!

The Keg will never dissapoint, prime rib is always a blast. So glad they're open for indoor again.

My best friend took me here for my birthday. I absolutely loved the food and drinks. Great friendly staff, the patio was great. 10/10 highly recommended

During the pandemic, when they wee open only for patio service, my friend and I ordered the steak frites and a bottle of wine. Cooked to perfection and then wine recommendation was spot on. Even though it was a bit cool that evening, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Been going there for years and they always strive for making your evening satisfying. Definitely recommend.

Worst meal best service!

Although it was first day of opening after covid. So understandable

I was there for my birthday. This Andrew guy was taking care of me and my boyfriend. We had told them the occasion was bday. Usually they bring a cake or something. He did not. He even did not empty our table after we ate and were waiting for our desserts. The piles of dishes and smell of food and lobster shelves were disgusting me. When I told him, he did not say sorry. He said I left the candles -they were brought to keep butter melted for seafood- for your bday. That was disrespectful! That much money we paid to have a pleasant night. Not the service we received. Even the steak was so disappointing.

Overall great food but could have been better. Ordered steak and seafood take-out. Potatoes, lobster tails and crab were delicious; steak was too well-done and too charred, which made it hard to eat. Just had a bit higher expectation given the price and previous Keg experience. Also, it took longer than the expected time to have my order ready, but I understand they may be very busy.

Worst experience at this location. Made reservations to celebrate a birthday and they provided a booth my mom could not sit at due to a disability. Instead of trying to accommodate we were told we would have to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for another table. On top of that the manager had the nerve to blame me for the longer wait - said i should have requested a table instead of booth in the reservation. Worst customer experience.

I took my wife and daughter to the Keg for dinner tonight. We arrived as a walk in, we got there at 6: 30 we were told there was a long wait so we waited an hour and fifteen minutes with our four year old.
Finally we get seated Chris was our server so we ordered food for our daughter as she couldn’t wait any longer
to eat!
We ordered their mushroom neptune we ordered our drinks however their appetizer was not going to make it out on time finally we got through our dinner and we ordered their billy minor cake we ate well food came out hot and we wanted to send a thank you and shout out to the staff at the keg and say thank you for the great service and for not charging us for our mushroom Neptune or for the billy minor cake as over busy as you guys were I was amazed that you guys could handle everything so keep up the great service.

Can't go wrong with the Keg. It's simple. Not the best in Toronto but definitely quality is good for the price in comparison to Jacobs or any of the higher end Steak house. But better than Canyon Creek etc.

The keg has amazing food and great customer service. Never disappoints if you want a delicious meal, but expensive meal lol. Took my fiancé for his bday dinner, we did have reservations but still had to wait a bit to be seated. Nonetheless he enjoyed his steak dinner. And my Brie cheese appetizer will always be my all time favourite!

The Keg has great customer service. They were able to get our work group of 18 in no problem on a busy night. Friendly wait staff and great food, can never go wrong with any of their steaks.

The ambience and service was amazing. I don’t eat steak but the salmon was on point! The servers were attentive and went above and beyond for me and my group. Much recommended!

Food tasted fantastic. Price was up there but that's what you expected from The Keg. At first my they gave my sister and dad what looked to be a rare steak when we asked for medium rare, so they took it back and cooked it some more.

My mom ordered their Kansas steak (43 dollars btw) with fries but it came with mashed potatos. So the waitress got us a new batch of cooked fries.

The waitress really did show concern for our issues as she kept checking up on how we are doing. It's not her fault. I was happy with the food (the postacio salmon is quite good) and our waitress.

I don't have a photo here, but based on the price, quantity and taste, I suggest getting the calamari instead of the bacon scallops.

The Keg at Richmond Hill is a great place to have excellent food, mainly steaks, pleasant service and good atmosphere. Reservations can and should be made for weekdays.

I used to visit this place. Tonight (Dec. 27) I had a very bad experience with bartender and decided to leave. Ignorant and rude bartender. The manager was very nice and she took care of the situation.

It was very disappointing. We go to the Keg every new years and this was our first year of disappointment. The service was extremely slow. Our waiter was kitchen staff. The salad was under dressed and still wet. The steak was charred on the outside and barely cooked on the inside. It was an all around bad experience.

The streak is good but I wouldn’t pick it as a first choice for steak also they lack option for seafood. Most steak places offer oysters which was a disappointment.
I asked them for English mustard which they had but it wasn’t proper English mustard, this is a must with proper steak places.

The Keg provides a consisten food experience and this was no exception. The service was lacking as our server showed up to take our order and that was it. At no pint were we offerd additional drinks or asked how our meal was. Rather disapponting.

Very good food and service was a little slow at first. Our server forgot to serve our drinks until we reminded him, though it was very busy st that time. Once our drinks arrived the service improved. Will return in the future.

If you're here on a weekend come prepared to wait at least 30mins to 40mins. They do occasionally bring out water or hors d'oeuvres while you wait to keep the experience less hostile. But lots of people cramping in the door entrance makes for moving to the bathroom tough as it's at the entrance and not the best if you have children and stuff in tow. Still. Food was delicious. Kudos to the chef. Food not overly salted. Gives you opportunity to salt it yourself to liking. I never leave without a slice of the Billy miner pie celebration or not. Still one of the places I think of if I want a steak. But I'll go elsewhere for a damn good steak without the insane waiting. Hence 4 stars

Always great food with friendly service.the only reason this time I didn't give 5 stars is because our waiter forgot to bring one of our appetizers and by the time he came back it was to late.

I liked the cozy environment of this place but the meat wasn't all that good. I feel like the tasty level and the quality of meat at keg has gone way down recently. Kind of dissapointing really. I asked for prime rib medium rare but it was closer to rare.

The food was okay. There was quite a bit of hassle with the seating though. Although they explained there was a mishap with glasses and what not.
We had steak and mashed potato. Steak was nice but the mashed potato was lacking. The bread was good too. Atmosphere was good.

Going to The Keg always leaves me feeling happy. Friendly servers, great steak and a wide selection of drinks certainly helps! Perfect spot for after work drinks, birthday celebrations and family get togethers. Weekends can get busy so plan to arrive early.

Great food. Steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. Server was polite and came at a timely manner. Atmosphere was just ok. Went on a day that rained and it felt very stuffy in there. The feeling when the Air condition isn’t on during a hot humid day. I ordered a Caesar and tomato Juice was used instead of Clamato. Didn’t bother me too much but may others. Price is fair for what you get.

Can't go wrong at The Keg. Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and service is always excellent (with a single exception on the service from our last visit). Still would go back because it's usually great.

Not impressed at all. Arrived there before 5.30pm on Friday, we were directed to the dining table and we asked if we get happy hour drinks but she said it's finished at 4.00pm. That's not matching their website information that should be finished at 6.00pm if this waitress was right,

A great place to chill. Decided to have dinner here on our first night at Markham. Have been to couple of other restaurants near by. This one definitely stands out. Liked their menu options. The ambience rocks, they have multiple seating options, lounge, patio and the main restaurant. We tried a lot of things on the menu, salads, fish, mushroom Neptune, baked shrimp, fries! Also the sangria was yum

This is in line with my promise to myself to revisit this chain after a flat performance of Keg in Vaughan and it’s a better place by a mile. While menu is obviously the same the service and overall experience as well as decor and personal touch kinda thing were on a much higher level. Parking on that plaza is an issue sometimes, parking meters have been deployed lately, but you don’t have to pay if you visit any of restaurants there. What you need to do - you need to give your plate number at the door and they will put it electronically into the system.
We found some interesting items on a menu and some vegetarian options as well.
Bottom line- if you are a Keg fanatic go there instead of Vaughan location!

Amazing service as always! Enjoyed the jumbo shrimp app and two tail lobster special and it was perfect! Great server, wonderful atmosphere. They were busy but it was not loud and all the food (steaks and fish and lobster tail) were all cooked to perfection.

We were able to get a table this time, and I've got to give them credit for making sure the food is properly cooked to order. Have only ever got steak so far. Always a good meal. The staff were friendly and were very on the ball with our table.

The food was great. Usually come here with a group so we always make a reservation before hand. The staff is really nice and helpful. Parking may be a pain depending on the day and time. Overall, great experience every time we come here.
