The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - King West

Visited this keg on Dec 30th around 10pm. Sat in the bar and was served by Cindi. She didn’t bother to mention the features to us so I looked on the menu and asked for KC cut steak she said they ran out of them and that’s why she never mentioned the features of the night…she said they often run out of things at this location that’s not something you want to hear from the keg. The vibe was off with our server after this. We heard the table next to us ask her about happy hour and then when we asked she said yes it’s going on, as we are from out of town it would be good to tell your customers this while dining they will spend more $$ With so many great places on king w there’s better options at 10pm. I’m glad I used a gift card. As usual the steak and sliders were delicious just don’t want to be back for the service.

Excellent staff, awesome food, but only a limited selection of beer on tap due to being out of stock, the same thing with bottled beer, limited selection due to being out of stock

Cindy, our server was so amazing and great service. She was also proud of the Keg (how the beef is raised, Canadian owned, branding, etc.) and great to see a proud employee.

It was the first time I had been at a Keg in many years. Good meal. Enjoyed the friendly service. Despite being asked many times about possibly sending one of the steaks back. We didn’t. It was clearly not cooked enough. But that was our choice. Drinks were very good. I do miss the days of the included Caesar salad and the baked potatoes are not as good. But you go to the Keg for meat. My blue cheese filet was just what I wanted. The Keg is still a special treat meal in my books.

Ordered steak and smushed potatoes, it was absolutely amazing. Definitely I’ll go there next time.

We went for a memorial to our colleague. The servers were lovely. The food was delicious. The atmosphere sophisticated casual. Our reservation for 15 ppl. It was not found (perhaps accidentally made for another location) but they graciously accommodated us when we arrived and sat us with in minutes.

Food was excellent. Service was good. Another Keg location that I would certainly come back to.

The size is big and the price is reasonable. Also, the service is very welcoming and the foods are delicious.

Had a great dinner on the patio with my fiancé. The flavour of the sirloin was amazing. We loved the drinks, especially the watermelon cosmo. Overall great food and great atmosphere.

First time going to this location and the service was amazing. The server Tammarah was kind / friendly. She recommended the cauliflower and it tasted great. Also the dessert cake was to delicious. Will be going back!

Great customer service, staff are very friendly and efficient, however slow wait times for food… VERY slow wait times, patio was near empty and we were still waiting on our food for a ridiculously long time.

I can't believe I paid $70 for takeout here. Just look at the food portion.from the way it was served especially the fries to the amount you're getting, it's not worth it! I remember ordering the same meal in-store and getting so much food a plate. You guys should treat take-outters the same as those who eat inside as well. Never again! Steak was good a usual.

Love their patio, love the staff and love the food. So so so good. You can not go wrong with anything as everything will be so good and tasty. Definitely recommend this place

My bf and I decided to try the escargot which were stuffed in mushroom caps, garlic, and herbs this was my first time trying escargot and the keg had me sold. Absolutely delicious! The service was wonderful as well.

We also both got the bacon wrapped filet mignon, a twice baked potato and roasted veggies I’ve gotten this meal before & told my bf he NEEDS to try it this time. The filet minion cut like butter! We absolutely loved it.

To drink: A beer for him which he really enjoyed & I got the watermelon cosmo it was fruity and sweet and tasted like a watermelon jolly rancher I literally wanted to order like 5 more! It was sooo yummy.

Ordered the craft Pina colada, keg size. Tasted like watered down coconut water. The warm cauliflower vegetarian dish was ok, overpowered by lemon flavor. Overall less than expected.

Horrible staff and management. They assess you based on your clothes. Over the phone they told us to come in. When we arrived my buddy was a little casually dressed and they sat other people and told us they aren't seating anyone else. This location is a joke. Because the manager didn't even come out they just sent someone to basically ask us to leave.

This restaurant is one of the best places on king west. The manager Chris Avis ensures that the restaurant provides top quality service from the minute you book a reservation to the minute you leave.

They made my birthday extremely special and we absolutely loved the food. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!

Honestly it’s not great for the price. The steak was charred on the bottom like the grill had flared up uncontrollably, and the drinks were sickeningly sweet. Service was good although the hosts definitely didn’t know what was going on. I said I didn’t have a reservation and it seemed like they’d never had anyone say that before. Fries were good but sort of a mix between McD’s and Steak and Shake. Nothing special. Dessert was a copy pasted flowerless chocolate brownie. Solid, but unremarkable. However, for $4 it was the best value of the meal. Atmosphere is cool, swanky. But it feels put on when the food doesn’t bring it.

Excellent place for dining in the heart of the city, beautiful patio, delicious food, staff is nice and friendly. A pleasure to visit.

Ordered takeout last night and got: lobster tail, scallops wrapped with bacon, and 1/2 rack of ribs. Lobster tail and scallops were amazing and worth the price. However the ribs I got were dry and hard, probably over-cooked. It was disappointing that it costs $25 and was almost inedible. It's probably better to avoid the ribs and get something else on the menu

My friend and I went to the Keg King West for her birthday and we were extremely impressed by the service.

They display professionalism and customer service excelleance from the minute you book the reservation to the minutes you leave.

This place was fine, not great. Cute and quaint patio. The food definitely didn’t meet our expectations of the usual Keg quality. We had to wait ten minutes before we were seated for our reservation. Not a huge deal and we understood. Server and staff were courteous and friendly. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Our meat was way over cooked which is surprising for a steakhouse. The manager did offer to replace it for us but we didn’t want to deal with waiting for another one since there’s a time limit of 1.5 hours per table. Manager comped the steak. A nice gesture but we would rather have enjoyed our meal and paid for it. Will not be back here.

Solid food and cocktails. Ordered the peppercorn steak and was underwhelmed by the cut of the meat I received, but it was otherwise perfectly cooked and crusted nicely with peppercorn.
Standard cocktails - nothing too creative.
Overall good experience and affordable drinks. The steak was overpriced for the quality of cut I received.

I eat at the Keg all the time; like every couple of weeks. Was worried that Cara Foods would change the quality of the food and that has now happened! The sirloin was grisly and thin. It reminded me of the old Ponderosa steaks. I also loved the old onion frizzles. They now are factory made and are so salty there are inedible! Such a shame that Cara decided to squeeze out extra profit for it's shareholders by reducing the food quality and still charge the same price. I miss the old Ked (pre-Covid and pre-Cara).

The manager Chris is the best! We have had a bad experience with the takeout before but he helped my bf with the last takeout and the steak is well done. Both of us really appreciate his help. Definitely recommend this restaurant cuz they have amazing staff!

Always an amazing experience at this location. The staff really go above and beyond. Our waitress offered us the three cheese butter for our bread (which is a secret menu option) and it was delicious! The steaks are always cooked to perfection here and their patio is perfect for enjoying the busy yet private feel of a dining out experience

Are there better steakhouses downtown? Absolutely. And they cost 3x as much. While I appreciate those places, I love the Keg for two reasons 1) the quality of food is amazing for the price 2) they are open late. You can get a meal here well after every other decent restaurant has closed. Before Covid I could slide in unannounced at 11pm and get a quick, delicious meal with no problems. That's worth a lot. Especially when your other options are Chinatown, fast food joints, and a couple mediocre diners.

Been to The Keg 100+ times and I've never experienced my food this way. Steak over cooked, terrible presentation of the food, my gf's burger came with the top portion falls off, many signature items not available, ordered an espresso, cold and about 1/3 of it on my plate and napkin. Very disappointing especially after looking forward to a meal there for months.

Great location for the keg right on King W. The food was great, service was good. I've gone with small and large groups.

Service was friendly and fast. Food was good but the peppercorn NY was a little too salty for my tastes; I will choose a different steak next time I go. Not the cheapest steakhouse as the bill was definitely on the high side.

Man.the Keg literally turning into MacDonald for steaks.nothing special about anything there.
Even the presentation, the service.
Everything is so generic and brutal boring there. The food itslef.just like a steak at jack Astor or any diner.
Anyway.guess it's the only way to make quick fast money.

It's the Keg, whether you go in Woodbridge, Toronto or Markham, the Keg is the Keg. If you like it, you won't be disappointed.

The food is very delicious. The only thing I didn't like is when the hostess ask us if we are going to leave soon and mentioned our longer stay. I went with my cousin who is visiting from states as you can imagine we had a lot to catch up.so we stay for 2.5 hours having dinner and drinks.we paid the bill earlier because we were waiting for someone to pick us up.anyways I feel like overstayed when asked if we are leaving!

Our company hosted our Christmas dinner here and I was greatly impressed. Like all other Kegs, the food is excellent. Perfectly cooked steaks, wonderful mixed drinks and friendly attentive staff. We had two servers for our table of 8 who were simple incredible.

The manager by the name of kathy is the person to deal with really friendly person the place does not have halal options

I have visited this locations several times this year and have never been disappointed with the service or the food. This last visit both my friend and myself ordered the 10oz prime rib. Mine was to be medium rare and my friend asked for rare. I knew that I was not overly hungry and would likely be asking for a take away bag. However, when the dinners arrived, there was a clear size and thickness difference between my 10 oz. Prime Rib and that 10 oz.of my friends. Although i knew the size was more then satisfactory for my immediate hunger needs, i mentioned the difference in size to our server. To her credit within five minutes, the chef was out with a more then adequate make up cut to minimize the difference between the two.
Kudos to both server and chef for a quick fix to a "small dinner " problem.

You know when you're going to the Keg you're going to get an epic steak cooked to consistent perfection. Biggest bank for your buck and tastiest steaks in town. Always will be coming back. This place is a pure gem and the service is always 100.

Never again.i reserved for a party of 18.only 3 of us showed up because everyone else had better things to do.they wouldn't allows us to keep the other 15 empty seats because "they had other customers waiting". Anyways, it gets worse.after 1 hour of sitting down we were told that we had to either order something or leave.i explained that we had brought our own food and we just wanted to a place to hang out for a few more hours.they weren't understanding at all. I asked if we could have extras that people didn't finish and they just rudely rolled their eyes.after a few hours of back and forth we decided to take our business elsewhere.
