The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Waterloo

Our server, Kenzie B.was amazing! She helped with suggestions on the menu, was polite and friendly, and defenitley made the experince 5 stars!

Always a solid choice, they do everything right at the keg. We go here for special occasions, as it's a little pricey, but you get great quality dishes so it's a really nice treat.

Still one of our all-time favorite restaurants. We were recently there for our anniversary and we certainly got what we paid for in a good way. If you want quality food or to celebrate an event, you can never go wrong coming here.

Went to the keg for a birthday dinner and had an amazing time. Our waitress Jade was friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The food was delicious, we got boxes to take the leftover home. If you want a nonalcoholic drink, definitely try the very berry smoothie, it's amazing (it's from the kid's menu, they can make them in adult size too).
. It was a little too loud than I'd like it but I was in great company so I didn't mind the noise. Definitely recommend this for casual dining

Quite literally the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. Delicious food, such a wonderful atmosphere and Phoebe C. The server was absolutely wonderful. We love her so much!

Was at the Waterloo location for a quick bite to eat on our Anniversary We had two burgers that were delicious. But the best of all was the server Tania J She has to be one of the best servers I have ever had in my long life. Never disappointed here! This is our go-to place where we know we will have a great meal and amazing service. Have been here 10+ times and never had a bad experience.

We made a reservation for 8: 30pm on the Sunday of a long weekend to celebrate our engagement, we arrived to the restaurant 15 minutes late to our reservation. Earlier in the day on Open Table I thought I recalled being able to make a reservation all the way until 10pm so I wasn’t worried about being 15 minutes late. When we arrived the hostess said she wouldn’t be able to seat us because they close at 9pm. The manager then came over to the host desk and said she could seat us at the bar but we had to order everything all at once since the kitchen was closing. We were very appreciative of this. I apologized for being late and mentioned that I didn’t think it would be a big deal because I thought I could make a reservation until 10pm, but I said I must have misread the website. The manager said “next time make sure you tell us you’re going to be late because we canceled your reservation”. After I already apologized for being late, so I almost felt like I was being scolded? Our waitress was really nice when she took our orders. A few minutes after sitting down the manager came to our table and said that I did read the website wrong and you can’t make a reservation at 10pm, which again I already admitted to potentially reading the website wrong so it felt like we were almost getting in trouble? The steaks were way undercooked but we already felt very unwelcome so we didn’t want to say anything. The manager made us feel like a huge inconvenience even though there was lots of other full tables around us. No one said anything about our engagement even thought it was in the reservation notes. I would give this experience only 1 star if it wasn’t for the waitress who was actually super nice. Would not come back to this keg location, they ruined the celebratory dinner we planned.

The food and service are great. The place could use a little sprucing up, but it didn't take away from our wonderful meal. Thank you.

My family went here today and the service was awful. The servers kept looking my family up and down as if we didn’t belong there. They were snobby and inattentive to us. Then, my dads steak came out cold and the manager was incredibly rude to him. He seemed annoyed that my dad had made a complaint. After bringing my dads new steak out he said “I’m not leaving until you try it” and stood over my dad while he took his first bite, I thought this was weird and unprofessional. He then said with attitude “is that to your liking”, once my dad answered he walked away smugly without saying sorry or telling him to enjoy the rest of his meal. This experience was so odd and ruined my dads birthday.

It's a bit pricey in my opinion, but they do have some nice selections of steaks and featured mains. Worth it for a special occasion.

Just had an absolutely perfect birthday evening at keg Waterloo. I had New York peppercorn. My wife had a keg classic combo. My brother had the standard New York. The rest of the party of 8 had either prime rib or sirloin. Service was absolutely amazing, completely non intrusive. The table was fantastic (I asked for something “not in the middle” and got a beautiful alcove). Everyone said that their evening was memorable! Thanks!

You know what you're getting at the Keg, a Steady Eddie menu that doesn't disappoint. My wife and I aren't super regulars but do come a few times a year. Great beef and seafood dishes, solid drink selection with generous portions. The decor is classic if somewhat dated. Great for casual dining or celebrating an occasion.

Steaks were good. Green beans and mushrooms should never have left the kitchen, totally abysmal. Beans were both over cooked and under cooked in the same plate - on two occasions. I have had nicer mushrooms from a can. Quite disappointing for a high end restaurant. Not up to the standard of your meat.

We don’t come here often as the prices are quite high for a slightly above average steak BUT that is to be expected, the staff are always friendly, food is always good and the experience is always one we go home talking about in a good way

Loved everything except the very loud table next to us. They were shouting when talking. Very hard to enjoy an intimate dinner.

Despite a bit of a mix-up with our reservations, we got it sorted out with a great booth. We visited on Mother's Day and the place was busy, but our waiter did her best and was attentive. The steak was cooked perfectly, and we left feeling satisfied. It's definitely a top spot in town!

Ordered one steak Medium (came out well done) ordered a fillet medium (came out raw). Sent both back, the steak came again well done, and fillet came back burnt while still raw in the center. Manager that delivered the second time didn't bother staying to see how the steaks were cooked. Spoke with another manager before leaving and they were attentive, but made no effort to speak with us about the situation. Very disappointed, it seems management has changed in the last few months. Was always terrific before this.
