The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Mississauga Heartland

We went there with a group of colleagues for dinner and drinks midweek
It took them way too long to take orders so the dinner was served very late as a result.
While the food was prepared amazingly well, the prices are unreasonably high.

I come to the Keg every year around twice a year for the last at least 20 years ago. The menu almost the same no changes of anything.the steaks are pretty good but recently few of us eat chicken. There is only one kind of chicken (Black End Chicken)
It is so boring…
We hope the menu change or they add more items specially for chicken.

This location is probably the worse one in the GTA. The night I went I had a rude waiter who didn’t care about our concerns. The steaks came out to us literally 3 min after they gave us our salads. So they got cold. There was literally 3 tiny pieces of broccoli and beets on our plate and the mashed potatoes servings were tiny. All this for $60 a plate. Plus the bread was cold (3 times)! Ordered a medium rare steak got a medium done, told the waiter he didn’t offer to bring it back! I would avoid this location. I wasted over $140 for poor service and food. Will not return to this location ever.

I’m not a steak guy but they did a great job of my steak. From our salads to our mains to our desserts everything was fantastic. Our server Aron was great, professional and charismatic he was the perfect balance of down to earth and knowing when to ask us questions and when to just let us enjoy ourselves. I have nothing I can think of that didn’t sit well with me other then maybe the lights were to dim but I will gladly take that if that is the biggest issue and we will most definitely return in the future!

12/31/2023-To further add onto my existing review we came for dinner today without reservations which probably was not very smart but they were able to seat the three of us at the bar section anyways. Place was packed it was New Year’s Eve, and the machine was down for a period of time so they fell behind in orders but the food was still spot on and satisfying. To make up for it my waitress who I didn’t get her name paid 3/4 of the bill which was very much appreciated but I still tipped enough to at least cover the mains. It’s refreshing that in this day and age integrity and professionalism still exist, they could have gave me the whole bill and I wouldn’t have complained but just the mere effort of recognizing a perceived wrong doing on their part and their attempt to fix it was enough to win me over and continue to give the keg and more specifically this location my business. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture and happy new years to all the staff!

One can see how tired the store design looks in the lunch hour day light.

This is one of our go-to restaurants for my wife and myself I'm a vegetarian I usually get the cauliflower and the spring salad. My wife usually gets the chicken wings and a steak and she never complains, excellent servers and service and food quality is excellent that's the Keg for you!

Dante at the keg heartland was an exceptional server. He was very engaging and extremely personable. He was very attentive and made our experience 5+. Well done

Steaks were OK, the sides were noticeably worse compared to past/other branch, waitress was kinda pushing and in a rush.

Had New Year's dinner here! The food was amazing. Staff was amazing! I know there was a bit of craziness due to the computer system going down, but we were happy to wait it out everything was worth the wait!

Updating my review it seems a few years ago I thought the food was good but had an issue with reservations. Turns out I should have taken my own advice. They CANCELLED our New Year’s Eve dinner reservation an hour before we were set to arrive and gave us no options for anything else and told us they are sorry but can’t accommodate us. On New Year’s Eve.

I will never go back to this restaurant. Clearly they have no clue on how they should be seating people or taking reservations. Of all the days to mess up, NYE is the worst. We struggled to find an alternative and they essentially ruined our entire night.

If I can give a negative review I would. But 1 star is the lowest it’ll go.

Do NOT depend on this restaurant for an important event or day. They aren’t equipped for that. Go for a casual dinner.

Food was good. Servers memorized the orders for a lot of people, that was impressive! Cake is always great!

I had the pleasure of being served by Mariam once again at The Keg's Heartland location in the dining room this past Saturday. After experiencing her excellent service the week before, I specifically requested to be seated in her section. Mariam continued to deliver exceptional service with her attentiveness and professionalism, enhancing my dining experience. Mariam's outstanding customer service skills added a positive touch to my visit, and I deeply appreciate her dedication to creating a memorable dining experience. Overall no complaints. It's the keg, the steak was good and the service was solid. Two people in our party had food sensitivities and the manager was very concerned at ensuring this would be taken care of.

The Keg at Heartland is great. The food is always good and the service is excellent. I have never had a bad meal here.

Great place to eat, but maybe not the best place for a company xmas party. Pretty crowded, but food was great.

Food was awesome! My go to is the teriyaki salmon bowl and its a must have at this place. Service was a little slow as there were many people and Christmas lunches going on there but that gave us more time to talk and socialize with the work team. Its our go to place for office/ formal lunches.

All went above and beyond to create a V. I. P.experience for my mother and myself. Felt like a high end ski lodge! Fresh bread and butter, tasty french onion soup. I had the delicious fries and prime sandwich with THE BEST gravy I've ever tasted!
Such a great visit and experience I had to let the manager Gregg know what a FANtastic help Julia and all the staff were and absolutely recommend The Keg to friends and family. Saw all ages and families enjoy themselves around us.
Highly recommend for any occasion.

Went for a Christmas dinner with coworkers and everyone's food qas cooked perfectly. The was waitress was very fun and engaged us all friendly jokes. We all had a great time.
