The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Yonge + Eglinton

Pretty disappointing that a server didn’t have basic etiquette. I dropped the fork on the floor and she asked if I would like a replacement as if people continue eating with cutlery after picking it up from the floor.

We went there to celebrate our 10th year and their attitude from beginning to end was amazing. They really take care of us and also they offer us a cake for our celebration and it was deliciously good. I really recommend this place to enjoy the good food and beautiful atmosphere.

I can not recommend the keg at y&e enough!
It was the go to spot for me and my husband while we were living at y&e.
My husband usually go for the prime rib, i like the lobster with side veggie.
And my husband would refuse to leave without eating the Billy Miner pie. Well, it is really good!
Went back for dinner today, still delicious af!
As usual, we finished the complementary table bread. (tip: try dipping the bread into the melted butter that comes with the lobster, lol)
Amazing service, great atmosphere!
It might not be a cheap meal, but we think it's worth every penny!
We'll keep going back!

Certainly wasn't a Shae Lynn experience
My waiter was inattentive. Never checked in.
The striploin was overly grissly and fatty plus cold.
Twice baked potatoe was hard like a walnut not to mentioned burnt.
Greens salad was pulverized. You needed a spoon to eat it. Flavorless and uncared for.
The sauteed mushrooms were black as licorice. The accompanying veggies were almost raw. Almost everything was cold.
The only thing enjoyable was the wine.
I would not go back.
I told the waiter going to Mary Brown's would have been more enjoyable and for certain less expensive.

The food was excellent, and the service was initially not too bad either. However, during the evening, our server dropped the ball. Not sure if they were short-staffed, but the whole experience during a birthday party was below what I had seen and came to expect from the KEG.

When we saw our server drop the ball on the desert, they brought our cake out for the birthday but didn’t come to ask if anyone else wanted dessert, and when they did, it was 45 minutes after everyone had finished their plates. Especially being there with kids, those 45 minutes felt extremely long. In the end, they didn’t take any dessert since they had waited for so long and we pressed them not to take a dessert. Finally, we decided to go elsewhere.

Additionally, we had to ask for a kid's menu, again something we weren’t used to from the Keg; we usually get it immediately. Refilling the water took forever, and the cherry on top was that we had to look for our server to pay our bill. Cold-heartedly we still left a decent dip; however it was not deserved.

Take out during the pandemic has been excellent. Staff are incredibly friendly and food quality is fantastic. We have two celiacs in our family and we are always confident in the safety of the gluten-fee meals. Can’t wait to be able to celebrate one day soon in the restaurant, but for now the Keg takeout is a great way to celebrate a special occasion at home.

Wonderful staff, good food, pleasant time. Definitely a good place for date nights! Will return

Ordered steaks for Mother's Day. My wife wanted a trad steak dinner. Top sirloin - excellent, filet mignon - extraordinary! The sides - garlic mashed, baked potato, grilled veg and iceberg salad/blue cheese - all terrific! I arrived for pickup at my timeslot and it was ready, and after the drive home everything was still hot and delicious. Over the top? My wife was so satisfied! Happy wife, happy life! Just one comment: the white sangria was great, but the fruit should be cut into smaller pieces so it can come out of the bottle. Thanks, Keg!

Tried this spot already with a friend and I am addicted ever since. I love the excellent character and yummy food and beverages. Highly recommended.

Ordered pickup for Dec. 31st. At 7: 10 pm. When I arrived my order was already on the pickup table, and might have been there for sometime. It took staff about 5 min.to service the previous customer. It took me 5 min to reach my apt, I live next door to The Keg. The steak was not good at all - a disappointment. We eat at this Keg at least a couple of times a month. There food has always been excellent. Obviously, steak is not suitable for take out.

I received courteous service when ordering, everything was cooked perfectly. The order was completely correct and ready on time. The ribs were delicious as well! Thank you to the yonge and eglinton keg team!

The Keg has completely owned it with their takeout service - everything from the packaging to the food itself is top-notch and the high-quality you would expect.

For strange reasons I won't go into we actually ate two dinners, two nights in a row at this location. Always decently busy at this location it seems - so reservations are always recommended.

I find the menu options to be a little plain but all of the classics are here. I love the deep fried Jalapenos that come with the calamari and how the knives you get with a steak actually work (cut).

I may be a weirdo but knife quality greatly affects my overall steak experience.

Great location! The Keg is always a great place to visit. Staff are friendly and hard working and the food is delicious! The drinks are well made and not watered down. The steaks and prime ribs are a must-order! The free bread is amazing too! Will return for sure!

Went here for my wife's birthday. The wait for the food was far to long. That waiter was very good and the food was average. If you go expect to wait about 3/4 of an hour for the food to arrive (could be longer).

Always good food. Very pleased with this restaurant! The only thing is that I wish they'd bring the Beyond Meat burger back, but their recipe for burgers yields ones that are super tasty and always filling.and probably healthier, too.

Delicious food- but our server was often unavailable. This wouldnt be an issue if the restaurant had been busy, but it was slow and she was more concerned with talking to her coworkers instead of seeing what else we needed

My husband and I were given a wait time of 20-25 minutes.which turned into 45 minutes. And another half hour before we got our food. We were just there for dessert, too. The cake I got was an ice cream-based one and it was already melting when it was set before me.

The hostess and the waitstaff were friendly and nice.just the wait times were absurd.

The entryway also absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. I know the business cant control if their customers smoke or not.but there is a by-law against smoking right outside doors, which could be enforced. I have allergies and so the wait time of nearly an hour, I felt absolutely sick.

(And as a side note, if you as a patron cant go without smoking immediately before entering a building.then leaving your meal to have a smoke.then lighting up as soon as you're back outside post-meal. Buddy, you got a problem.)

The food is very pedestrian for the price, the escargo was scant and over priced, and over priced. The Jacob's creek wine was a good vintage, and value. Of course the steak, as always, made to perfection. Do NOT order the creme brule - it tastes burnt and cold from the fridge, you might want to warm it up before you bring it to the table.

I go back to the days when it was called The Keg & Cleaver. It was a great idea right from the start. A high end Steakhouse chain. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at any of the locations. Not cheap but certainly not ridiculously expensive. Good service. This location was renovated a few years back very nicely done. Bit of a pain with the subway Construction but highly recommended.

It was my first visit and not so sure I'll go back. The salmon was a decent portion but very mushy inside, the french fries were a small serving, a few sauteed brussel sprouts were very tasty and l enjoyed them the most! There wasnt much food though. All items were just warm like the plate had been ready and left sitting before it was brought to the table. I had a beer and a small dessert and with tax and tip the meal was $57.00. Too expensive for the low quality meal. It was uncomfortably loud and a speaker was blaring above our heads. Not pleasant or relaxing. So my recommendation is pass on the Keg at yonge and Eglinton and spend your cash elsewhere.

Excellent service from Stephen tonight made my friends seventy third birthday remarkable. Stephen made him feel like a king.thank you for a wonderful evening

I visited for the first time recently. I had heard great reviews and had high expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food arrived swiftly. It was lunchtime on a Monday so there were few diners. The greeter offered to check my coat, which I appreciated. The food was decent but not impactful. Overall, my experience was neither bad nor outstanding. It was just okay. I will return to try again.

Great service. Great food. Will be returning. Shawn is the best! My husband loves the Kansas steak it is delicious but far too large for me. The food come out hot and with great timing.

The waiter was rude and greedy. He wasn't happy with the tip he got although I think it was a good tip. So he decided not to answer me and left the table shaking his head as if he hadn't received any tip. We spent a lot of money at the restaurant and left with a bad taste. I won't be visiting this place anymore.

Was with a small group meeting nearby. Quiet night as Halloween began and then became busier. Excellent service and excellent food. Although in s busy street, it was a great Keg experience.

Recently visited The Keg and have too say it was delicious. The server was friendly, efficient, the food was excellent. Highly suggest the Prime Roast Beef and Steak! The sides were fabulous being fresh asparagus, mushrooms and double baked potato. Will return giving it a 5 star review!

Great meal at the Keg, as usual. Striploin as perfectly cooked, with a baked potato on the side with all the toppings, was delicious. Staff was also fantastic, can't wait to go back.

Came here last night with my coworkers to celebrate a work anniversary. Our server was fantastic, our food.not so much. We initially ordered a medium-rare prime rib, only to be served a well done steak. 20 minutes after returning the food back to kitchen, we were informed that they were having "issues" with their machine that cooks the prime rib since the morning. It would have been nice to have been told that that prior to ordering a prime rib the first time. We ended up waiting an hour for our second meal, while watching my other coworker eat their entire meal.

Although they complimented us with a bottle of wine and desserts (hence the 2 stars), we were very disappointed with the lack of communication and long wait time.
