The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Dixon Road

Scott and Sarah our waiters were friendly, and attentive making our birthdays a memorable experience.

Booked a large group here, and the staff doing the reservation was helpful. Day of the dinner, the site called to confirm which was nice.
They had the section ready for us, and servers were great.

Food was ok - 4/5 stars
Parking sadly not great - although not their fault its a popular location. Just more of a heads up for those looking to dine in during peak hours.

All said and done, will repeat based on the service we recieved.

A group of 8 of us went (with 3preteens), at first it was a bit annoying cause at the front they told us it was 35-45mins for 2 tables of 4 or 45-60mins for a table of 8, we said ok we'd wait. Then we walked back to the car to hang out and saw the back patio was practically empty. So we went back in asked for that area they said ok and seated us. BUT Carissa and Armando made up for it with their amazing energy and top tier service, loved every minute of having them as our servers, it was my sons birthday and he had a fantastic experience. They also were very considerate accommodating for my hubs who is celiac. They deserve a bonus!

Food was amazing as always, however the service was terrible. You would think that by spending $300 on a meal you would get amazing service, but not once was our drinks refilled. Waited over 20 minutes to get a dessert menu. You get better service at Dennys for 10% of the price.

Pretty good. For the price and reputation, I think it could have been a bit better. Server was excellent. Food was good but not a wow factor. Dessert was generous. Decor was nice but could use a bit of maintenance. Parking lot was a disaster of mud and ice which was tricky being dressed up. Seeing the kitchen staff drinking beer as we walked out at closing was ok but hey, we were at the Keg Mansion so maybe not.

The food was great but service was seriously lacking for this class of a restaurant. Someone took my plate before I finished and I had to ask to put it back, the staff was not careful when serving dishes or didn't know who ordered what. Overall I like the Keg but prefer other locations. For the price not recommended.

We were a group of six. Three loved their meal and the were not impressed. Seafood was wonderful, chicken not so much. No flavor in the Caesar salad.

Lovely atmosphere in the old manor on Richmond Rd. Steak was delicious. New cauliflower mash is excellent. Service wad excellent. Varied wine menu with excellent wines. A little pricey $$$ but worth it.

I would give this restaurant 5 stars just for the wait staff. Emily and Malcolm (?) did a great job. The place lost a star for the Med-Rare prime rib i ordered that came well done. Unfortunately there was no prime rib left and i therefore received a perfectly cooked rib steak as replacement (on the house). All the other dishes were great. Side note, the horseradish was way weaker then usual.

Not a huge fan of The Keg, but this location is by far the best one I've ever been to. The food here is so much better than any of the locations in Toronto. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous. Best ambiance and great service.

Great location (and old Heritage building) and atmosphere. Service at The Keg Manor is also always great. The food, while not inexpensive, is mostly always really great but on my last visit, the fries and steaks were overly salted and appetizers came cold. The staff were great about remedying the concerns and that was really nice.

Keg Manor is a place with a great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing from the sirloin to the dessert. Recommended for fine dining

One of the worst Kegs EVER. Granted it was cold outside and the excuse that this heritage building could not be modified wore thin. Some Saran Wrap over the windows would have done the trick!

We eventually had to move to an inner table away from windows. Still.the steak was cooked incorrectly and the condiments never arrived (in fact no wait staff came by at all) until we were done consuming what we could. The wine was terrific.

We have enjoyed many Keg restaurants across Canada, and when we lived in Moncton it was our “go to” place. But this one, the lounge was frigid, the main house not much better and smelled musty. I guess it’s an old house! Nevertheless the Keg Manor is no longer on our list of restaurants we choose to patronize.

Excellent dining experience. Food was well prepared and tasty. Limited selection of beer. Rooms can be noisy and conversations difficult to hear when there are a lot of diners.

The série was slow, the food was barely warm, and the taste is not what it used to be. Now there was a party of 40 next door that did not help, but that should not be at the cost of enjoyment for others.

We had an excellent experience, my wife's steak was a bit undercooked. This was immediately rectified and taken back. While this took place the Manager came to apologize and took our first drinks off the bill. Our waiter was well spoken and funny.

I just drove by. Really tired of all the requests to rate when not even entering an establishment, it's creepy and intrusive. Shame on the Keg, not ever going there again.

Wow. Another great old time dining room with the smell of a fireplace which was crackling as I entered. What a wonderful sensory flashback! The menu was old style but the service was upscale. I brought my dinner club and was surprised to discover old fashioned prices with an old fashioned menu. If you are a meat eater it is well worth the trip!

The food was out of this world. However, the service was terrible. From the host/hostess to the extremely rattled waitress and it ended with the Manager who actually laughed at me as I was trying to discuss our table’s issues with him.
Also, I’ve never been to an establishment that has had such difficulty splitting up tickets for bigger parties. (We had 14 people) We were told we were not allowed to switch seats after ordering because it would mess up their billing!? !? Once the bill came out we had to go through each item with her to tell her who ordered what anyway!
Again, the food was amazing but not the service and then the managers childish behavior was the last straw. We will not return to what was once our favorite Canadian steak chain. SMH

Had Crab & Steak. Crab was plentiful and very tasty. The steak I tried to eat but sadly was the toughest piece of meat. I've frequented the Keg for years and I was surprised a specialty steak house had such to offer. I mentioned it to the waitress who said she'd mention it to the chef. Nobody addressed it. I asked for medium rare and it was medium well. I didn't eat it. Couldnt. Was too tough. Brought it home for my dog. I'm sorry. But true. Went to independent and bought an $8 steak and it was what I needed to satisfy my steak craving. I'd go back to the Keg because I've been going for so many years but I won't be ordering steak from there again for a long awhile.

Marcus was our server and he was great! Went there with my family and my boyfriend and we ordered the tuna tartare and the calamari and both were great. We had the rib steak, sesame tuna, the keg burger and chicken and ribs. We were all happy with our meals although since we had ordered two rib steaks I think they got the cook mixed up which was a small mistake and not an issue. All in all it was a good experience the only slight improvement is it seemed like between getting the bill and having to pay we did have to wait what seemed like a while.

Good steak. Not the best ever, but good. Went with a colleague, sat at a bar table. Service was excellent. A little pricey but not crazy expensive. Nothing bad to report.

I shared an all-around great experience, the food was wonderful and well seasoned, just like the last time I visited this location. My server was sometimes hard to find but overall very attentive, I would’ve ordered more if he was around, I didn’t want to have to get up to find him. The night I was there, it was pretty quiet. I would come back again for sure!

First time trying The Keg, the wait was long. The staff are friendly and they seated us near a real fireplace. It was romantic and cozy. The waiter was nice but we were also in a separate room so it was hard to find our waiter to talk to. For an expensive restaurant, the food did not meet my expectations, the steak was good but it wasn't exceptional. They ran out of Caesar Salad so we had to have Wedge Salad but that wasn't a big issue. The dessert was decent though but for the price the portion was unfortunately really small. Overall a good experience. But I wouldn't choose to come here again unless I had to.

Usual Keg food and environment. This airport location used to be a good destination for business dinner, but it has slowly turned more family oriented. We had the crying baby at the table beside us. Very hard to discuss serious matters. Across the street is Ruth Criss, pricy but a better option for business people. Keg menu is getting old and uninspiring, time for a makeover.

We went for our anniversary this weekend and everything was amazing. We have gone every year for the last 5 years and they never dissipoint. Great service and great atmosphere.
