The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Masonville

My best steak experience was at Keg.
We ordered Top Sirloin and RIB steak and both were so delicious, cooked very well, and in an appripriate amount.
The waiter was a polite young man, who didn't interrupt frequently while having lunch. At the same time, he came and asked if we needed anything.

We came for New Year’s Eve. It was very busy. But the service was excellent and the food was delicious! And we were alittle early and they seated us right away. Great experience!

Out for dinner celebrating our son’s birthday. Food was excellent as usual. This is our second time going to the Masonville location. Very impressed with the atmosphere and staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks for the great evening

Celebrated our anniversary here and our server was awesome! He was cheerful and that really made our night a lot better!

The food was great, steaks were cooked at the exact temperatures we wanted, the mushroom dip and bread accompaniment was the perfect starter and finally the coffee ice cream cake was the best ice cream cake I’ve had in awhile.

A great number of options for dietary restrictions. Plenty of seating at the bar, wonderful ambience and amazing staff. For an alcoholic drink and an appetizer you're looking at $25 (including tax) per person.

Beautiful place to go out on a date. The service is great and the food is simply delicious, I would recommend the keg franchise to anyone.

Nice design but I would rather have a simple design and good food instead. I don’t recommend this place for the food quality nor for their drinks. Service was good.

Usually great but last night far from good, steaks lacked flavour, seemed to be low quality and tough. Service was extremely slow. Very disappointed

Had dinner there last week and our server, Grace, was incredible! Very kind and made us feel relaxed. The food was awesome and then drinks were amazing. Can't wait to go again!

I went to dinner with my good girlfriend and my children. Our waiter was a nice young man and he was very pleasant to deal with. Food was very nice too. I’d go back again.

It's a Keg with good food. I just prefer the South London location more and for no particular reason, maybe it's because it's on its own and not attached to a mall or just it's location in general. Our waitress was very nice. I would eat here again.

Over priced and under staffed.
We went for dinner here after receiving a gift certificate for $200. If i was going to spend $200 on a meal, it will never be at the Keg.
The food was good. Steak was great, prime rib was sinewy and the rest was pretty average.
Our waitress was very nice and polite but had not been taught how a good meal should flow. No steak knives when we recieved or meals, drinks took too long. Our finished plates sat in front of us for a long time while we were continually asked if we wanted dessert. The angry looking boss man walking around killing any vibe.
This was a pretty disappointing experience.there are many great independent restaurants around that can provide a better meal for less money.

Went for our one year anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was great. Romi our server was absolutely amazing! Best server we've ever had! Food was so awesome and delicious! A wonderful experience to celebrate our special occasion

I went to this location yesterday with my family for a casual dinner. We ordered 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. My wife's prime rib was excellent but my rib steak was burned with an aftertaste of gasoline; obviously, I left a big peace of the steak on the plate! Very disappointing.

Sarah did such a great job! We were here with our five year old and she made everything so smooth. Thank you and we will see you again. Food was DELISH!

Had a great meal with our group last night. Our server was superb-she was very knowledgeable and quick to serve us and answer any questions. Only reason not getting 5 stars is that when food was brought out we were told “careful the plate is hot” but when I took my first bite of potatoes they weren’t hot, although I didn’t send back because they were still edible and very tasty! Also, we could have had sugar on the rim of the daiquiris we ordered and we would have enjoyed them a bit more but overall it was a great experience.

Everything was amazing! The hosts who greeted us at the door, our incredible server, and oh goodness the food was delicious! The kids all had steak, each one was cooked exactly to their liking, and I had the vegetarian meatloaf (recommended by our server) and it was so tasty! Absolutely delicious! I love when restaurants make the effort to make really good protein-packed vegetarian dishes. Our server was so patient with the kids too, answering questions and making sure everyone got what they wanted, and rearranged our meals and sides to get us the best bang for our buck. I can’t say enough good things. We will be back for sure!

Pretty disappointing last time was here. Myself and my partners birthday. We ordered 2 apps, and 2 Keg classic meals. We got our apps first. No problem. Then he got his salad and I never received mine. Our server didn't come by so I couldn't ask where my salad was. Then our entrees come and my server asked if I ever got my salad. I said no and mentioned I was disappointed I didn't get it, but I didn't want it at this point since my steak was here. I was offered a free dessert after even though I've been to the keg for many birthdays so I know I already get the Billy Miner Pie for birthdays. So it really didn't compensate for the fact I didn't get my salad. The best part about it is I was still charged for the keg classic meal even though I didn't get my salad. I normally love their food here but pretty disappointed with the last experience. Oh and to mention when I made the reservation I mentioned it was our birthdays and we got stuck besides two tables that had babies crying.

Saturday, January 1,2022 at approximately 7: 30pm I ordered the prime rib. When it came to the table I noticed it was the end piece, which was OK since I asked for it to be cooked medium-well, but was disappointed in the appearance because 50+% of it was fat! Once I tasted it there was clearly something off, the meat had a metallic taste and also wasn’t very warm. The kitchen manager brought out a 2nd piece that was medium (even though I originally asked for it medium-well) and had a similar taste and temperature as the first one. I tried to explain to him my positive previous experiences with the prime rib at the same location, but he wasn’t open to criticism and came off more defensive then helpful. I was so turned off I lost my appetite and returned my dinner except for the twice baked potato that I finished. My portion of the bill was comped (the least they could do) and my friend payed his portion even though the whole experience was awful and ruined… (and actually he wasn’t really happy with his meal either!) and can you believe it still costed us over $100 with tip? On a positive note Desiree our server was extremely polite and professional and we enjoyed her service. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this keg for a while! This experience really left a bad taste in my mouth…. Pun intended! ️

This location of the keg is pretty on top of things. I go regularly and the service is always great and so is the food. One example would be the Ceasar salad which is consistently good here whereas other locations are often very soggy

So, we went to the Keg last night with a couple of friends and I gotta say it was one of the best nights I've had in 20 months, if not in years!

The food was so tasty, the garlic toast is amazingly zingy, the steak was so moist and tender it almost melted in my mouth and the Watermelon Cosmos are one of the best drinks I've ever had.

But, what really stood out was the service. Linda started off as our server, but by the end of the night I wanted to hug her like a friend. She is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. She knew her steak, wine, and drinks and made suggestions that just put the night over the top. Apart from being incredibly attentive, with such an eye for detail, she was at our side filling our glasses before we even knew we needed them refilled, she was funny and had us in stitches. Other diners kept looking over like: I want what they're having.

Thank you, Keg, and Linda for making a rare night out over the top special! We'll be back! And if you're reading this, ask for Linda when you go.

Our first time at this location and had the pleasure of being served by Justin. He had a great understanding of the menu and was spot on with his recommendations. Could not have been happier for our anniversary dinner - one of the best times I've had in a restaurant in a long time!

Our server, Patricia, was so accommodating for our table of seven. Her assistant was most helpful. And the food was absolutely delicious.

Very disappointing dinner. Three of us were there for a birthday dinner. We had cocktails, appetisers, steaks, lobsters, bottle of wine and when we went to order our dessert/coffee/scotch our waitress informed us that the next guests were there for the table and they needed it back. We were half way through the wine still and were just finished our meals. I was absolutely gobsmacked that after spending the amount we did, that this was the outcome of our dinner. I understand that there is a time limit on tables - but it felt like they were more concerned with over turning the tables rather than customer service. And food is mediocre at best. Do better please.

Had the Wedge Salad with my meal. So insanely good its ridiculous.

Somehow lost my reservation for a birthday I made and got a confirmation for. Then "lost" the online order I had to make instead because we didn't have a reservation in the restaurant suddenly. Turns out our order was sitting in the restaurant until someone finally told us they DID in fact have our order there after telling us there was no record of this online order we made. By the time we dealt with that and got the food it had been sitting for a while and was cold and soggy and all around terrible by the time we got back to eat it. Big disappointment.

Had a slight mistake on our amazing take home steak kit. Called them they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make things right. Will continue to be a loyal customer to this fine establishment

Overall, a disappointing experience. No value for money, dishes are quite average, place and ambience are quite modest. The medium rare meat was rubbery, we were greeted by the manager at the door in a very formal cold manner, we had a birthday and asked if they allow us time and don't rush us out, this manager gave us a straight answer "your 90 min counts from the time you are seated", he doesn't even smile.scary. Of course they kicked us out exactly after 90 min on the clock. Nevertheless, the waiter "Scott" was very nice and accommodating, he also served us a cake, it was a nice gesture, hence, the 2 stars.

I really dislike writing any negative reviews but this is the SECOND time this has happened. In our order (Order Receipt #4561091), it was very clearly stated that one of our party had an onion allergy. The 'oscar' was dealt with (we waited twenty minutes for it, but thank you) but the prime rib arrived literally plated with fried onions! By the time we got home with our meals, it would have spoiled it for everyone else if we had turned back & waited for it to be remedied. Not fun. As I said, I would not be writing this but for it being a repeat disappointment.

Went here after right after they moved locations from downtown (never liked that location - paid parking) My wife and I had dinner for our anniversary and the food + service was excellent. The waitress didn't come over every 30 seconds and ask how our food is, if we need anything etc. When they found out it was our anniversary they gave us a slice of cake bigger than my head for free (our choice of cake). When the bill came we paid the same for two of us to eat at McDonald's with dessert.and they didn't make us feel weird for taking home leftovers.

First time trying Keg takeout since the start of the pandemic. Excellent service, Excellent food, Curbside pickup was seamless. Can't say enough.

Last experience wasn't that great. Was there last Friday with 2 friends. Server was not very welcoming. All our appetite came to us cold and they also brought our salads at the same time which is odd. They seemed annoyed we didn't want them both at the same time. They reheated the apps which were warm. Then time.for the bill they comp'd us dessert for the app being cold. Dessert was cheaper then the app so of course they are trying to save money. Was at the wellington location on Monday and everything was fantastic. That will be my go to location now even tho masonville is closer.

A great spot to eat, staff very friendly. I just dont like that during non-covid times you cant make a reservation on the weekends.

I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad meal at any keg. Great steak and the salmon is just as delicious. Always a sure choice for a great meal.

As I like to say, it's the McDonald's of fine dining. If you go here on special nights I'm I'm kindve judging you. Food is good, seating is good, service is good, everything is pretty standard regardless of what location you go to. Consistency is good but there are undoubtedly better spots and experiences for your buck.you just might not be adventurous to find them in the moment and that's fine. Not my first choice ever, not upset if I go either

Went to The Keg to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Had the most amazing and romantic experience. Food delicious and our server was super attentive and great. We had the best date night and I am very happy. You have just become my favorite restaurant. I appreciate very much the gesture they had with our desserts. Christmas lunch with a few close friends. Food was good quality as always.

We were unhappy with the service. The initial order process was quick but it took a long time to get our meal. It was a surprise because the restaurant did not appear to be busy.

After we finished our meal we could not find our server. We asked two other servers for assistance and if we could get our bills. They finally found our server and we were able to complete the transactions. Frustrating to say the least.

This is not an inexpensive restaurant. Service level for $$ spent needs work

Never really a disappointment, good food all the time. I only gave it a 4 star as out waitress seemed busy and a few times we had to get her attention to ask for things.

Steak was nothing special but the tuna tartar is amazing. The service was pretty good and our waiter was very friendly.

Great service and great food. The scallops and bacon were a delicious start. Everything we had was cooked perfectly. Our server, Jacob, brought us a complimentary dessert for my birthday. I love going to the Keg.

Disappointed with a few items, enjoyed a few. The appetizer scallops were marginally bigger than a marble so not much flavour but the fried cauliflower was generous and tasty. The haddock was over cooked and tough. The server was friendly but needs some training.

My fav place for surf and turf. Never ever had a bad meal. Service is great, atmosphere is relaxed. Love love love it!

Sat on the patio, was worried that it would feel like sitting in a mall parking lot, but somehow they managed to make it look and feel quite the opposite. The food is excellent as always and the staff are exceptional. Thanks for the great back to school meal.

Just finished a fantastic meal for our Anniversary. Waiting staff was outstanding and the food was too notch.

We had a lovely time at the Keg such a beautiful layout we were back in a corner. Oue waiter was very well mannered and knowledgeable restroom so very clean. We went for our Anniversary and they gave us a beautiful dessert that was so tasty. We will be back again.

Don’t take reservations Friday or Saturday, they just missed a party of 12 people and a couple thousand dollars.

Appointment at London Hospital lead us to a much needed relaxing dinner afterwards. Requested a comfy spot to gather our thoughts. We were not disappointed, seated in a nice secluded corner where we thoroughly enjoyed our steaks cooked to perfection, button mushrooms on the side, yummy bread and a nice glass of wine. Higher end prices but worth it for the relaxing atmosphere of fine dining.

It may have a fancy atmosphere and expensive items, but I have to say that the food ended up being sub-par. Though the staff were very kind and offered a free desert, I got very sick from eating some of the fish options (I shared a little of my girlfriend's plate). Maybe it's changed since then, but I don't think I will be returning.

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent. One small thing is we would have appreciated a dairy free dessert option. Every dessert option was either made with cream or came with ice cream.

It's the keg. It's pricey as hell but (especially if you arent the one paying, like for a birthday) it's totally worth it

Good table service, nice atmosphere. As always perfectly cooked steak. I've been coming to the Keg since it was the Keg and Cleaver downtown London. I've rarely been disappointed.
The food is always well presented and very very tasty.
The only thing I didn't care for was the Caesar salad. Not crisp and no bacon and too much dressing. Other than that great food. Billie minor pie as it was my big birthday! Thanks to our server Juan and the lovely young lady who brought our wine. The young man who was bussing the tables made it look like an art form.

The food was fantastic and our server treated us great. As a special occasion dining location, it's one of the best you can find in London.

My steak came undercooked and cold in the middle. Eventually they did take it away and cooked it longer, rather than sending out a new steak. The manager then made a deal about how they discounted my bill, which ended up being a $3.50 discount on a $107.00 bill. Seems petty to offer a discount that is so small, just dont offer a discount at all and replace the severely undercooked piece if meat. (Steak was ordered medium rare but was less cooked then my wife's blue rare steak, which was cooked perfectly.)

This was an anniversary dinner for my wife and I and they did give us a delicious piece of cake as a congratulations, which I think is amazing, but dont send a manager over telling us they discounted our bill when the total discount was $3.50.
